Great clean, welcoming place to try out for a good burger or cheesesteak sandwich! We were in the area for a basketball tournament and found this cute place!! It is very updated and nice inside, very clean and the workers are so kind. They come around to check to see how the food is and just showed genuine hospitality. We ordered the western cheeseburger, hamburger, and the special cheesesteak sandwich all with fries and a drink! Everything each of us got was delicious!! Very clean almost sterilized as they have not yet put pictures or illustrations on the walls so very "white" if you will. Fast prompt service very nice people! Self serve drinks and condiments. Handicap accessible with tables. Hubby ordered the monster which included a beef patty and Philly cheese steak. He said it was fantastic and he would order it again. So I don't want to go full blown on bad review on this place, because I actually didn't eat here. And for once I wouldn't even care if Yelp pulled this review, I just want to warn people looking for an authentic Philly cheesesteak, that you won't get it here. The place inside was clean, the people are nice, but I asked if they had cheese whiz, and they don't. I asked if they use amoroso rolls for their sandwiches, and the lady didn't know she showed me a bag of rolls from like the bakery at your local supermarket. On the menu, they only have one "authentic" cheese steak, and only with provolone, but I've never had a real cheesesteak that comes with tomatoes lettuce and mayonnaise? Yeah, hard pass. I agree with the other Yelper from jersey, who actually tried it. Which is the reason I was skeptical. I had a gut feeling walking into this place, and I stood by it walking out. Burgers may be good, but this is definitely, DEFINITELY not a place for authentic cheese steaks, and I think they should omit that from their signage and marketing. Ok. Let's just start with a couple of super basic, restaurant 101 rules: #1- If a customer walks in and says, "Hi! We've never been here, but are you cheesesteaks good??" Don't shrug your shoulders, pause, and say (super quietly), "ummm. I guess. They're pretty good..." Because that tells me your food is crap. Manager: put somebody on the front register with a little enthusiasm. Try some customer service: "Hey! You're going to love our cheesesteaks. We make 'em with fresh blah blah blah..." #2- When a new customer is clearly struggling with a menu choice, give them a suggestion. Don't sit there in complete silence, looking bored and annoyed. How about something like, "You know, I'd start with the traditional cheesesteak, and add the loaded fries because we make them with blah blah blah." Because you couldn't even answer some basic questions. #3- Don't burn the bread, forget the mayo, and then overcook the meat so much that it tastes like burnt newspaper. You're trying to get new customers, not lose them. I'm going to consider that this place is new so it's working out the kinks. But beware because customers today won't give you much of a second chance. You need some better front counter people with some enthusiasm and service skills. If you're going to charge $15 for a sandwich, you need good service. Yes, even in Avondale. The food was 2-stars. The onion rings were good but there were 6 of them and each was the size of a quarter. The sandwiches I already commented on. Fries were nothing special, just basic frozen fries. Not impressed. Needs some work. But I'll try it again in a few months and see if it's any better. In the meantime, I'd approach with a wary eye. read more

I have to say everything about this place is worth a visit! It's small so not too loud. We stumbled across this place on a roadtrip back home and when it says Philly cheesesteaks and burgers it has to be good right? The service was amazing and the food was absolutely incredible. I decided on the burger called the "Monster" and it is by far the best burger I've eaten in a VERY long time. It was juicy and so tasty. My wife got the steak Philly cheesesteak and loved her food as well but didn't finish it because she decided she needed to eat my burger too because it was that great. The burger was big enough for us both to eat it with some fries and half of a cheesesteak lol. My daughter loved the chicken tenders kids meal. I will drive 20+ minutes to get back here way too often. The pricing on everything is very reasonable for the portion sizes. read more

I was born and raised in NJ, visited Philly several times a month, and ate so many sandwiches I can't tell you. What I can tell you is what I received here was nothing like I know. New clean building shared with Dunkin Donuts. Very clean inside with a very friendly staff. I got the Sonoran Cheesesteak sandwich. It's a play on a Sonoran Dog and it was stellar. The bread is nice and soft. They don't skimp on the protein and whatever condiments that are included. My sandwich was $13 for a large and was well worth it. Could probably feed 2 people. Most other spots would charge around $16 for the same sandwich. It a good deal. My only gripe is that they didn't have ice tea. I don't drink soda often and rarely drink an energy drink. They were nice and offered me a water cup though (they sell bottled water too). read more

We went to the new restaurant on 23rd Ave and 101. Opened 3 mos ago, taking over the old Johnny Rocket's space. Had the recommendation by the cook. The original was tasty and fries were way above average. Wife had the char burger on the brioche bun with onion rings. She rarely finishes a meal but this was a wonderful surprise. This place is a gem. Discovered it when going to concert at Ak-chin pavilion. I got the French dip and it was the best I ever had. I was in Phoenix again this weekend and got another French dip combo. Delicious and the fries rock too! Made fresh and hot! When heading back to Tucson Tuesday. I stopped and ordered a French dip and traditional Philly steak sandwich's. I told the young man to double wrap as it was traveling to Tucson. He asked if I wanted them to separate the meat from bread then we could put it together. Then bread wouldn't be sogging! OMG, it was awesome and really enjoyed it!
