Went back after a year and it's still awesome! Great place to stop by when going to concerts at Talking Stick Amphitheater. We will be back again! Service is great too! read more

The beef is tasty the french fries are really good they get minus marked because they only have regular cheese not cheese whiz which is a staple for a cheese steak. They get a minus sign for using a crappy little ketchup containers instead of having bottles to catch up. They get minus sign because they had no soda fountain because the guy never brought their syrup or the CO2 or something doesn't matter if somebody needs to have diet sodas available for people that have to have diet soda. The place is nice and clean the tables are nice and they have a pretty nice setup. read more

Great clean, welcoming place to try out for a good burger or cheesesteak sandwich! We were in the area for a basketball tournament and found this cute place!! It is very updated and nice inside, very clean and the workers are so kind. They come around to check to see how the food is and just showed genuine hospitality. We ordered the western cheeseburger, hamburger, and the special cheesesteak sandwich all with fries and a drink! Everything each of us got was delicious!! I'll definitely be back when I'm in the area!! A must try!! read more

If you're in Phoenix and craving a Philly cheesesteak, you need to swing by here. I got the supreme with squeeze cheese and provolone. Tastes like I just got it straight from Philadelphia. If you in the neighborhood stop by. Service was great and dining room area is clean and cozy. read more

Philly Steak & Burger - The Supreme Sandwich Meal - Cheesesteaks Near Me - Phoenix, Arizona

So I don't want to go full blown on bad review on this place, because I actually didn't eat here. And for once I wouldn't even care if Yelp pulled this review, I just want to warn people looking for an authentic Philly cheesesteak, that you won't get it here. The place inside was clean, the people are nice, but I asked if they had cheese whiz, and they don't. I asked if they use amoroso rolls for their sandwiches, and the lady didn't know she showed me a bag of rolls from like the bakery at your local supermarket. On the menu, they only have one "authentic" cheese steak, and only with provolone, but I've never had a real cheesesteak that comes with tomatoes lettuce and mayonnaise? Yeah, hard pass. I agree with the other Yelper from jersey, who actually tried it. Which is the reason I was skeptical. I had a gut feeling walking into this place, and I stood by it walking out. Burgers may be good, but this is definitely, DEFINITELY not a place for authentic cheese steaks, and I think they should omit that from their signage and marketing. Oh, and not a single person in there was from anywhere even remotely close to the East Coast. read more

Very clean almost sterilized as they have not yet put pictures or illustrations on the walls so very "white" if you will. Fast prompt service very nice people! Self serve drinks and condiments. Handicap accessible with tables. Hubby ordered the monster which included a beef patty and Philly cheese steak. He said it was fantastic and he would order it again. Bread held togethe, we put on extra mayo, peppers well done...yummy! The fries came out, scolding, hot, and crunchy and salted very well. They were like beer battered fries or cooked and peanut oil so they tasted really good. I had the French Dip which came out piping hot and so fresh!! Drewling now!! Give this place a chance it was great food. Support small business!! read more

Gotta love Yelp for helping us find this gem! GREAT burgers!! Nicely charred meat patties with fresh lettuce and tomato slices! Friendly customer service. Perfect lunch; just need a nap! read more

And very very clean establishment from the dining area to the restrooms. I will be back for sure I regret not taking a picture of my sandwich. I order the traditional with fries delicious. Best of luck to the owners. Please come check this place out you won't regret it. read more

Burgers, Chicken burgers, Philly Cheesesteak?? Say less. But then the best restaurant onion rings and fries? We couldn't find a reason not to go to Philly Steak & Burger. Everyone loved each order. I couldn't believe I could get a DOUBLE patty burger combo at a very affordable price. We even ordered fries and onion rings. The people didn't think we had enough in our order and were kind enough to fire more on the spot for us. Everything is made to order, made fresh, and absolutely delicious. Also, if you're a ranch person like me, get a side of ranch. Fries dipped in this ranch was mouth watering. read more

Philly Steak & Burger - Inside - Cheesesteaks Near Me - Phoenix, Arizona

Ok. Let's just start with a couple of super basic, restaurant 101 rules: #1- If a customer walks in and says, "Hi! We've never been here, but are you cheesesteaks good??" Don't shrug your shoulders, pause, and say (super quietly), "ummm. I guess. They're pretty good..." Because that tells me your food is crap. Manager: put somebody on the front register with a little enthusiasm. Try some customer service: "Hey! You're going to love our cheesesteaks. We make 'em with fresh blah blah blah..." #2- When a new customer is clearly struggling with a menu choice, give them a suggestion. Don't sit there in complete silence, looking bored and annoyed. How about something like, "You know, I'd start with the traditional cheesesteak, and add the loaded fries because we make them with blah blah blah." Because you couldn't even answer some basic questions. #3- Don't burn the bread, forget the mayo, and then overcook the meat so much that it tastes like burnt newspaper. You're trying to get new customers, not lose them. I'm going to consider that this place is new so it's working out the kinks. But beware because customers today won't give you much of a second chance. You need some better front counter people with some enthusiasm and service skills. If you're going to charge $15 for a sandwich, you need good service. Yes, even in Avondale. The food was 2-stars. The onion rings were good but there were 6 of them and each was the size of a quarter. The sandwiches I already commented on. Fries were nothing special, just basic frozen fries. Not impressed. Needs some work. But I'll try it again in a few months and see if it's any better. In the meantime, I'd approach with a wary eye. read more

I have to say everything about this place is worth a visit! It's small so not too loud. We stumbled across this place on a roadtrip back home and when it says Philly cheesesteaks and burgers it has to be good right? The service was amazing and the food was absolutely incredible. I decided on the burger called the "Monster" and it is by far the best burger I've eaten in a VERY long time. It was juicy and so tasty. My wife got the steak Philly cheesesteak and loved her food as well but didn't finish it because she decided she needed to eat my burger too because it was that great. The burger was big enough for us both to eat it with some fries and half of a cheesesteak lol. My daughter loved the chicken tenders kids meal. I will drive 20+ minutes to get back here way too often. The pricing on everything is very reasonable for the portion sizes. read more

Went back tonight to try a burger and it was delicious. I ordered the western burger with fries. One of the best burgers I've had in Phoenix. Each bite you got the onion ring, the bbq, and bacon with the other toppings. In my opinion their burgers are better than the cheesesteaks. Fries were good again, though a bit over salted. Great place, highly recommend checking them out. read more

Wow this place is amazing food was cooked to order fresh and Philly steak was excellent lots of meat bread was superb nice and fluffy just perfect fries were very good also not sure what there coated with but very tasty mmmm price not bad sandwiches run about 10 bucks and if you make it a meal add additional 4.25 it was worth every penny hot fresh food I'll pay anytime I can't wait to go back and try there hamburgers cooked to order also dining area very clean looks like the had dessert also I saw cheesecake mmmm cya soon read more

I ordered from Grubhub, so I have no comment on in-house service or ambiance. I ordered a "philly cheesesteak." I was born and raised in NJ, visited Philly several times a month, and ate so many sandwiches I can't tell you. What I can tell you is what I received here was nothing like I know. You don't put lettuce or tomato on a cheesesteak. Grilled onions are a given, as is provolone. Next time I get the urge, Ill fly back to Philly. The REAL place. read more

New clean building shared with Dunkin Donuts. Very clean inside with a very friendly staff. I got the Sonoran Cheesesteak sandwich. It's a play on a Sonoran Dog and it was stellar. The bread is nice and soft. They don't skimp on the protein and whatever condiments that are included. My sandwich was $13 for a large and was well worth it. Could probably feed 2 people. Most other spots would charge around $16 for the same sandwich. It a good deal. My only gripe is that they didn't have ice tea. I don't drink soda often and rarely drink an energy drink. They were nice and offered me a water cup though (they sell bottled water too). read more

Food is awesome! The service is superb! Love this place. My new go to every time I pass through Phoenix.

I'll admit I haven't had as many cheesesteaks as I have burgers, but I have to say this was one of the best ones I have ever had. Very good, very fresh, and very satisfying. On top of that, the staff were very friendly and the place was clean. No complaints, highly recommend. read more

I'm not normally in this area and just saw the sign. I knew I'd probably be kicking myself if I didn't stop. Before passing it up on the way home, I looked them up. Saw the stars and immediately turned around. The sandwich was ok, unfortunately the hype had me expecting more. If I were to order it again I would definitely order without the lettuce and ask for extra veggies. It was giving mushy. There are other menu items that look fantastic. I would definitely give them another try if I was in the area.Store was clean & service was quick. read more

I placed a pickup order over the phone, which went smoothly and all my questions were answered. Upon arriving, I was greeted by both workers who were very nice. The restaurant itself was very clean and stocked with all items. And the food was absolutely delicious! Definitely recommend and will absolutely be returning! read more

The whole thing was okay. We ordered 3 versions of Philly steak. The all important rolls are decent, not great. The biggest let down was the amount of steak in the rolls, which was pretty skimpy. The wife put both sides of hers together on one roll and that made it closer to what it should be. Fries were crispy and hot, plenty of them. Staff were all pleasant and it was clean. If I was thinking of going for a Philly cheesesteak it's not going to be here, unfortunately. Maybe the burgers are better? read more

The food was pretty decent. The service was mediocre. I would recommend recommend coming in here just for the food.

Great service and great food. Had the monster burger and it was amazing!! Clean restaurant.
