I went to this location at 9:25 to order an Impossible urgent w/cheese combo, I've been here before and enjoyed the impossible as not many fast food establishments have vegetarian options. The manager on duty Walked up to me about 3 mins after I entered and said "one second,I'll be right with you, only to leave me standing there for 6 mins unassisted. When she finally came to take my order I ordered the Impossible combo and asked to be sure that they were cooking the impossible on a non beef grille, she replied "we shut off our separate grill already, to make closing faster, we'd be cooking it on the same grill as the meat" I then said to her "that's cross contamination and I'm vegetarian it'll make me sick." She then said "Well if you can't have it cooked on the same grill, I can't serve you."mind you it was 9:34 by this time, and closing wasn't until 10 and I arrived at 9:25. I said "I'm vegetarian and have been for 17 years, cooking on the same grill will make me sick. I find it utterly inconsiderate, inhospitable, and moreover a complete lack of customer service to shit down the grill that cooks the vegetarian patties before closing, as not everyone who frequents your establishments and orders plant based, is due to trend, some people have diet restrictions, I happened to be one. This is a new location and closer to my home! The staff is friendly and their quick to serve. There's plenty of parking and seating. The bathrooms and restaurant is clean as well. My kids love their kids meals and the treat that comes with them, a hamburger gummy! We have tried many of their items and we like them all, just depends what you're in the mood for! I went to the habit to get some lunch , upon my arrival I was greeted by a very friendly young lady at the register whom was very helpful and patient when I asked about the menu . She proceeded to take my order promptly with minimum wait time considering it was prime lunch time and the staff was very busy prepping orders, as I waited for a short time I noticed that restaurant was clean and very visually pleasant, well organized and set up to please the customers. This was the worst experience, this location is HORRIBLE! Went to pick up dinner for my family and ordered curbside, when I got there I called them to let them know I had arrived and the girl let me know she would be right out. After 5 minutes passed I called back was told "I will be right out" yet no one came. There were multiple other people waiting for curbside and no one came. I love the Habit I have been going since 1999 in Santa Barbara. But this location is not good at all franchises are supposed to be similar or the same wherever. I ordered a char burger on wheat and the bun was burnt like not toasted BURNT. The fries were cold. You can tell there's no care while making these items. I placed my order through the app online for curbside pick up. I received a notification that my order was ready. I drove to the Habit location on 51st Ave and Indian School and parked in the curbside pick up spot. I clicked on the link that I was here and waited. I watched as other cars pulled up, got their orders brought out to them and left. Over 10 minutes later I go inside and ask for a manager. A man with no name tag walks up and says he is the manager. I tell him what happened and he tells me they are busy and thats how it goes and to deal with it. That I should just keep waiting outside for curbside no matter how long it takes, that it takes time for orders to be ready. I said I understand this but I received a notification my order was ready and then I drove down to get my order. Then I checked in and waited even longer. I said several other people had come and gone for curbside but I was still waiting and he didn't act like he cared at all. I asked about cancelling the order. He tells me he can't cancel it and I'll have to contact my bank because it was a third party order. I said, I ordered it directly through The Habit app online. How is that 3rd party, he said it just is. That makes no sense. I said I needed his name since he isn't wearing a name tag and he said managers don't wear name tags. Again makes no sense. OK, I said I needed his name and info because I wanted to contact corporate and he writes down a local number. I said, isn't The Habit based in California and he said it's based here in Az too. Makes no sense yet again. I ask him for my receipt and he says he can't find it or reprint it and that the little square on the bag should be enough. I said anytime I've ordered here online or not, I've had a receipt. He said that square is my receipt. So I have no physical receipt. Good thing I have my online receipt through the app. Robert as he said was his name, was very unprofessional, did not come across as honest at all and seemed to go out of his way to make this as difficult and unpleasant as possible for me. I even told him he was very unprofessional and the least he could do was apologize for this, he literally snapped/yelled at me and said I did apologize! I said, no Robert, you did not at any time through this apologize not even once. I plan on contacting anyone and everyone I can to discuss this and I plan on telling everyone I know about Robert and this Habit location and to never go to this location ever. This is a brand new location and one would think they would be even more on top of their customer service and have better management and not someone like Robert. And to top it off, they got my order wrong.
