They serve a piece of bread with the order. Unfortunately, it is the cheap stuff. Same one they serve at Rudys. The order of 4 sliders was ok. They were small, like slider bites. I don't like the way they advertise their pricing. Say the slushi. Its $3.99 them in smaller print $2 add-on for pop it candy to add to it. Dave's didn't do anything wrong, I just didn't enjoy the Chicken. The spice didn't bother me, it just wasn't my favorite chicken. There are now so many chicken sandwich restaurants, I am on clucking overload I guess! I did go through the drive-thru and experienced no issues. The employees were polite and the restaurant always looks shiny clean. I did think that the seasoned fries were pretty good though. I guess, you will have to try it yourself. Never had an issue with Daves, before today. Went down here to get some bites and cheese fries. 3 things.... 1. No silverware. How are you supposed to eat cheese fries and bites without a fork. I mean, its doable, sure, but unless you want to caveman it with your hands, a fork comes in handy. 2. 9 bites. I know its a small complaint, but its 10 bites in the order, and I only got 9. 3. The portions are generous, but this place is on the expensive side ($50 for two people with tip). My only real complaint is that the music was insanely loud, to the point we just went to eat outside. That sounds like an old person complaint though for two people in their 20's. It also didn't help that the seating inside was in need of a little cleaning. Late dinner and a wonderful surprise. Arrived to find a line inside and a line wrapped around the building outside. I ordered three medium spiced tenders with fries. The fries were all crunchy. Their house sauce was a little underwhelming, tasted like ketchup and mayo with some other seasoning. The size of the chicken strips were amazing! Decent first experience at Dave's Hot Chicken. I went on a Friday around 2pm and it was surprisingly busy. Almost every table was occupied. It's not a massive restaurant on the inside, so depending on how busy it is, you may want to consider drive-through. For food my partner and I both got Dave's #3 which comes with a tender and a slider. We're open to spice but opted for Medium heat level to play it safe. We both found the Medium to be quite mild and agreed next time we would try Hot instead. The chicken itself is actually really good. The tenders were juicy and flavorful. The fries were good as well, fresh and crispy. I think some tenders don't work great for the sliders however. My slider had a very skinny tender, so only like half of my bites actually contained any chicken. My partner didn't have this issue. But for this reason, next time I'll stick with tenders and pass on the sliders. I also got a frozen lemonade which was an absolute joke of a drink. The drink was not mixed at all. The ice was clumped together and didn't work with the straw. So all I was getting was the juice/syrup, leaving behind a cup of clear ice. The service was friendly. Although I had a hard time hearing the team member while ordering. It's very echoey and loud inside. They could benefit from some sort of sound-proofing on the walls. Tried out this place on 7/30 around 1230pm. The girl at the counter was very nice and took our order with ease. We got 5 meals & 4 drinks the total was around $70, a lil pricey for me but it was good. I got 2 -1 slider combos, 2-2 tender combos & a 10 piece meal. The seasoning on the fries was delicious, I would ask for extra next time. I also really like the Dave's sauce (more than cane's). All the sliced picles we got tasted bitter (not in a good way). Tried Dave's Hot Chicken for the first time in California and was super excited when they opened in Goodyear, just minutes from where I live. The service is great, and the food is even better! Make sure you check your bags when you leave this location. Seems like they have some incompetent people working. I didn't get any of my extra sauces that I spent money on. I also didn't get any of the utensils, napkins, honey packets or ketchup I added to the order. On top of that, they won't let you pick up to go orders through the drive through. No car in line or anything and I still had to go inside and stand in line and be ignored over and over again. What could have been a 1 minute pick up turned into me standing there for 10 minutes. We've always enjoyed the food and the vibe, so we had high hopes for this new spot. It's great that they offer a military discount here, though it's worth noting that the Anaheim location is twice as generous with theirs--which felt a little disappointing by comparison. As expected for opening weekend, it was incredibly busy. Still, even after making it through the long line, we didn't anticipate waiting nearly 90 minutes for our food. To make things worse, a few items in our order were incorrect when we finally received them. That said, the highlight of our visit was Skylar. She stood out for her exceptional customer service--friendly, proactive, and clearly doing her best under pressure. She offered us complimentary drinks with a genuine smile and was sincerely apologetic about the wait. Skylar deserves recognition and is the main reason I'm giving this more than two stars. Definitely keep her around. Aside from Skylar, I'm feeling a bit mixed on this new location. The only thing that was good was the extra hot tender as it had way more flavor than the medium or hot flavor. Even the Mac and cheese had no flavor. Service was just okay, the cashier seemed really bothered and annoyed and I don't blame her. There was a line out the door the whole time I was there, but still not acceptable.
