Been meaning to try WaBa grill for a while and finally stopped by on the way back into Phoenix. Was fairly busy on a 4pm on a Monday but no line in front of me and they also had self service kiosks it looked like on the side. I ordered the WaBa Veggie Bowl which comes with chicken and steak along with carrots cabbage glazed with their like teriyaki sauce. I preferred the chicken over the steak but it had a really clean char flavor on both meats and were tender and juicy. The teriyaki sauce was really tasty as well not too soy based and plenty of it in the bowl so mixes with the rice and veggies and meat and more than enough. Also had the 5 dumplings which were tasty as well. All in all great meal that's really clean. This would be great casual option if you want something clean and not oily but tasty. read more

Came in today, it seemed like it was a little busy, but it was mostly due to the cook trying to talk to this woman then afterwards talking to some random guy seems like it took about 10 to 15 minutes. I think it would've been more productive if he would've been the kitchen and done his job also kind of disgusting but you can't be shaking peoples hand just go back to cutting chicken without washing your hands. But please Please change the air, keep it cooler, and do better with the bathrooms and I don't mean close them permanently to customers. It has been some time since I've had the chance to stop by since we moved out of state. Tonight, on my way to work, I stopped in. It has changed a bit inside. The employee who helped me was pleasant. I didn't realize the menu changed a bit. Prices, of course I expected. I ordered the Tofu Veggie Rice bowl and added avocado. Small drink.Yum! The wait wasn't bad ,pretty fast. I was shocked that small drinks are kids' size and I had to ask for extra teriyaki sauce. It used to be fill a small cup, like you do ketchup in some places. Now it's packaged. My bag only had one, so I'm glad I asked for two more. I do like my food saucy. When I got to work, it looks tasty. The portion is smaller than I remember, so next time, I'm ordering extra veggies and a tad more rice. I don't mind extra charges. I didn't put hot sauce because I'm still having heartburn issues. I ordered delivery. I ordered the salmon bowl with brown rice and extra salmon and some other add-ons I got NONE of the add-ons (which I paid for). I did NOT get the extra salmon (which I paid an extra few dollars for). I actually got only a half order of salmon and the brown rice was stiff and cold. This is a really nice no-frills place and for being in a strip mall. I was in town for work and it was handy. Nice place, clean, friendly staff. I had the WaBa bowl. It had both steak and chicken with the WaBa sauce. Only downside was I got an extra packet of sauce and I couldn't get the packet open!! I was craving Waba grill because I don't have one close to my house so I stopped by on a Friday. I walked in and ordered a Chicken Bowl with Avocado (Avocado is like $1.90 more) and the flavor was good and the chicken was freshly cooked! It appeared there were only two employees working, one was a lady cooking in the back and a younger guy at register. There wasn't tons of people barging in the door, but they seemed busy (maybe online orders or prepping for the Dinner rush). When the guy wasn't at the register he was helping prep food in the back, but I felt like they needed 1 more employee to help on the dining room. So many of the tables had food on them and dust- they needed to be wiped down. The floor needed to be swept and the utensil station was out of forks. Food was good! Went here after a bad experience at Yogi Grill. The person that helped me was very friendly, I think his name was Will. My bowl was much cheaper than Yogi Grill and they don't charge you for insane add ons, substitutions or sauce on side vs in the bowl and they don't put ingredients on your bowl that aren't listed on their menu. The customer service was beyond horrible!!! I went to get food for my wife not knowing they had closed however the lights were on, the sign that says open was on and the door was open!!! I walked in wasn't greeted with 3 employees but I was immediately confronted and threatened. One Caucasian male said we are closed leave ?? This is my first time coming to this establishment and they did an excellent job in making this a memorable experience to write about. When you walk in through the door, you're met with a soft, contemporary design with spacious booths and tables, making it a perfect setting for an intimate occasion or an all out party. The menu is easy to navigate and the distinction between meat based plates and bowls and its vegetarian counterparts makes this place the ideal neutral ground for a diverse group. Personally, I ordered the Waba signature plate which comes with a warm bed of white rice, generously topped off with grilled steak and chicken, a side of house salad seasoned with sweet Dijon dressing, and a half-sliced orange. If that doesn't sound delectable enough, you can order a thinly-sliced half-ocado as an add on to complete this ambrosial meal. A little disappointed I stopped by WaBa Grill today for lunch. I thought I would give WaBa Grill a try after reading so many positive reviews. WaBa Grill is nice, clean and bright. I was greeted as I entered the restaurant and the staff was very friendly. I placed my lunch order and sat down, and my entree was prepared quickly. On this visit I ordered a steak bowl with white rice and an ice tea. I have to be honest my entree was not very good. The beef was tough, the rice was over cooked, and I did not particularly care for the sauce. I will probably revisit WaBa Grill in the near future and maybe try a different entree and see how that is. read more

Well, that is gone and they will only give you one little packet which lasted for two bites. We tried to get more and were told "we already gave you extra sauce" which was one packet a piece.
