Was super impressed by the baked potato with turkey chili that I got at Eat Up. After passing by them several times I planned to roll by after I had an appointment. Like previous reviews said it does take a while to get your food, but it is made to order and with care. And this showed in the food, with the chili being super hearty and fresh. The potato was a little tough, but complemented the chili very well!! I definitely enjoyed every bite. I haven't tried their food but my daughter likes it. I just want to give you my experience regarding theft from an employee. I went through the drive through and placed my card in the credit card reader and after the beep the girl brought it back in the window. I glanced as she was pulling it in and saw it was on the tip screen. I assumed she would just bypass that since I didn't add a tip. I don't tip for a drive through or counter service, only for a sit down restaurant. The way she pulled the card reader back in just struck me weird so as I was driving away I checked my bank app. Sure enough she added a tip for herself. To me that is very dishonest. If someone doesn't add a tip, the employee shouldn't be adding one on their own. That is dishonest and actually it is theft. I don't care if it was only a couple dollars. It is the principle behind it that is bothersome. I don't want this business to get a bad reputation for one dishonest employee, but hopefully the management reads this and reminds their staff that tips are voluntary. They aren't for the employee to sneak in if the customer doesn't select a tip option. That is called theft. read more

I've seen good reviews for this place and they also do nice IG posts so today while I was busy running errands, I came in here for late afternoon snack. I wasn't entirely sure what I wanted on their menu as lots of choices like sandwiches, soups and salads but since I haven't had a baked potato in a long time, that seemed like just the choice for me. I got the loaded baked potato, with sour cream, cheese, bacon. Maybe I am getting old here or maybe I am a cheapskate, but, wow, $8 for potato!? I guess businesses do need to pay rent and also food prices have skyrocketed. The potato was very tasty, not dry at all, flavored nicely, could taste the butter and all very delicious. I just wished there was more sour cream than bacon. I also wished there was broccoli on top with more melted cheese. I'll ask for that next time. They have a nice little outside area so I sat outside and enjoyed my snack. They do have restrooms but it's outside and you have to ask for the key. The burger is decent, nothing to write home about, but it was fine. The bun was really soft so I liked that. The real star here is the side of mixed fries. They give you a variety of fries - regular straight fries, curly fries, and some thicker wavy fries. All of the types of fries are very good but my favorite are the wavy ones. read more

It takes a lot for me to write a bad review!!! I was so excited when i heard that Eat Up was going to open again as my family and I loved it. But ever since they opened we've been disappointed one time after another. Every time I go, they are always out of something! I know they get busy so today I decided to place my online order early and everything I wanted was available. So when I get there 30 minutes after my order was placed and I was informed that 3 out of the 5 items I ordered were not available anymore that they had just sold out. So I asked them to cancel my order. The cashier did not know how to cancel it so she called the manager Miranda and soon as I saw her I knew this was not going to go well. She had a terrible attitude and kept on rolling her eyes. She canceled the order and didn't say a word to me as I was just standing there waiting for her to give me a receipt. No receipt was given and she just walked away. The cashier came back and asked if there was anything else that she can help me with and I asked her if I can have a receipt as she handed me the receipt. I noticed that the refund amount was incorrect. So she called back Miranda the manager to let her know and when Miranda came, she said that she was sorry but that she wasn't able to give me the tax or the tip back and I told her that I was sorry about that. I wanted my full refund so she opened the drawer took the cash out of the register put it on the counter and walked off. I'm sad to say but I will not be going back to Eat Up again. read more

Spent 20 minutes in the drive through line, ordered hot chicken sandwich with fries and the kale salad as a wrap (no apples or pears)- got home, sandwich and fries were cold, but the wrap was inedible- it was bone dry with no dressing, its was basically just lettuce in a loose, dry wrap- there were no almonds, no cheese no breadcrumbs and maybe a currant and a bacon bit or 2) - in addition to never having written a yelp review, I've also never sent food back, let alone, driven back takeout- the ladies at the front (NOT this miranda I've been reading about) were very nice and attempting to accommodate- first I just wanted a refund but it after several minutes trying to figure out out how to do that and maybe having to call a manager who wasn't there to figure out how to issue the refund, I said ok, if you can just re-make it with the ingredients, that's fine. I got home, opened the wrap, and it was completely the wrong wrap that I didn't order. I called to let them know I'd be coming back and would like a full refund on the meal up give them a little time to accomplish that. Again, the ladies in the front were perfectly nice but what a frustrating experience. And no refund of tax or tip which seems to be a theme here- an hour and 20 minutes after I first got in the drive through line, I'm now eating leftover pizza. Honestly for being a simple, fast casual option (with a speedy drive through) this place is pretty dang good! I am a sucker for their baked potatoes - they are MASSIVE! Cheddar & broccoli is my favorite and it's filling enough to be a meal itself. The cheeseburger is solid, only about $6, and can't forget to mention the Mac and cheese side. I am a self proclaimed Mac and cheese aficionado and this one passes the test :) The location is on the smaller side for dine in, maybe about 4 tables inside and the same outside. Yikes I hate writing this but I'm so disappointed! Pre fire they were amazing and I got food within 10-20 minutes but now I've given them two chances since and now I'm over it. Waited an hour both times. The first time was in the drive thru then she comes back to window after I pay and says did you need something else...I said ya my food...she goes I didn't give it to you?? No I was starting at my food not knowing for an extra 15 minutes so now it's cold she's not really sorry offered me nothing. Not fresh food nada. Gave them another chance last night. Ordered online waited 30 minutes drove over there for them to tell me it'll be another 30 minutes!! I wasn't mad yet I live a mile away went home and came back picked it up and was so disappointed the amount of steak was sad. Then my potatoes were raw and had zero flavor. ZEROOO. Eat Up Drive in has been open a few years, now. I've been there a couple of times and after my first visit, I hoped there would be some improvement on a few points, though I haven't seen them. On my most recent visit, the food tasted a bit bland. While another reviewer indicated their food was too salty, mine was quite the opposite ... it had too little salt. Consistency may be a concern. When I looked at the Heirloom Tomato and Cucumber Salad, it was so colorful that I couldn't wait to dig in. Then the little/no salt concern was immediately apparent. I rushed to check my carry out bag for salt packets, but found none. The same was true for the Mac and Cheese. Truth be told, rather than added salt, I'd prefer melted cheese to cheese sauce. That would elevate both the texture and flavor. The Main Chick would have been great if one small tweak were made. It seemed to have come directly from the fryer to the roll with no effort to drain the oil or pat the chicken with a paper towel. This meant there was greasy oil all over the sandwich (including the packaging), not to mention it was a burn hazard. Don't get me wrong. I appreciate that it wasn't served cold, but a small change can go a long way. The service was speedy. I placed a curbside pickup order and when I pulled into the parking spot, a server approached me before I could pickup the phone to let them know I arrived. I just wish I had everything I needed before they walked away. I then had to wait in line at the drive through to request utensils. If utensils aren't provided by default for sustainability reasons, it would be nice to be prompted online to request them. All in all, Eat Up Drive In has a good concept and with some attention to detail and minor tweaks, they can go from good to great. read more
