I place my order at 7:20pm and I don't get it until almost 8:00pm. This place was not busy and other people were getting their orders before mine. When I got my food my fries were soggy and cold. I unwrap my burger to find it's completely wrong. I asked for no onion, I'm allergic, yet they were there. The patty was also crumbling in my hands whilst holding it. It was too late to ask for another because I already drove off furious I had to wait 40 minutes in my car. I walked in at about 7:40 to see what was up. Double Char(No Cheese), Fried Tempura Green Beans(No Salt), Fries(No Salt). I love the two self-service kiosks for faster service! I love how they cook their burgers(medium rare to medium) which is so good. One of the best things here is their fried tempura green beans which you cannot find anywhere. It's good with ranch dressing. I've order from them in the past and they are very consistent with how they do things. One guy asked for cheese on his double char and the cooks made it after there was no cheese on his burger. I love the interior of The Habit. We finished our meal of 2 charburgers, tempura green beans/fries combo & fries/onion ring combo. The buns did not taste fresh and a little dry, the meat was dry and flat, like they were pressed down to remove any liquid and overcooked. I have only visited The Habit once before (this same location) and it was for a lunch with coworkers/boss. I don't recall being impressed but it's been a year or two and it's close to my current work so I decided to give them another try instead of visiting the other overpriced burger place across the way. Didn't disappoint! First, I'm a totally fry person and I loved the fries!!! Nice and crisp! Burger was good as well, it really hit the spot. Nice and cheesy, soft warm bun and not greasy! I'm a plain burger kinda girl and I only add mustard. I also got an order of the chicken bites and I didn't care for those at all. Really just tasted like frozen-nothing-special kinda chicken. Definitely skip those! Not even sauce could help them. I ordered my meal online and chose the curbside time specific pick up. Ordering was easy and they send txt alerts that let you know where your order is at. Was super easy to check in and let them know I was waiting outside. Wait was minimal for them to bring it out. Just an fyi: this location during lunch time is not really ideal, parking lot is a bit small and does fill up! And it's kinda hard to get out of lot, especially since I have to cross traffic cause I need to head east to get back to work. There was no menu at the drive thru, when I asked about it I was told I had to scan the QR code to down load the menu, I'm driving, my grandson had my phone, no was should I be forced to use my personal device to read a menu. First time at a habit burger and didn't know what to expect. Slightly elevated fast food, like the chipotle of burgers. Food was decent quality, fries and onion rings were fresh and crispy but no old oil taste and veggie burger tasted great, they were generous with the avocado. My partner got the bbq bacon burger and loved it. Whole restaurant was immaculate and food came quickly. Had a dinner feel. Side portions are huge, we could barely finish one. We stopped by with 5 of our students to habit after a field trip. 2 of our students do not speak English therefore I translated for them. Mary the cashier rude when taking our orders but we just let it slide. When I received my food I realized that I did not receive my ranch that I ordered and went to ask Mary for one. She rolled her eyes at me and told me in A snarky tone "next time you need to tell me when you're ordering or I am going to charge you" i replied "it was on the receipt, you do not have to be rude" and she again very rudely said "okaaayyy" I have never experienced something like this. I asked another employee for the managers contact info before leaving and they guided me to fill out the survey on the bottom of the receipt which I did, they were helpful. I would not be returning to this location nor taking our students there anymore. They were shocked about this experience. We ordered burgers and salads for an office lunch and were pleasantly surprised. The online ordering works really easy and you get text messages regarding your order's progress. There are three reserved spots to park close to the entrance and pick up your meal. As soon a the order was done, I got a text. The order was packaged well and the people were friendly. Back at the office, everyone loved their burger or salad. The quality is way better than fast food, but the price is comparable or just a little higher. My only issue was that the sandwiches were not marked, so we had to open them up to see whose was whose. Other than that, the experience was pretty good. read more

Little hidden gem west coast burger chain I found while visiting Scottsdale. Really liked that they have a veggie burger option and it was tasty , nice that you can choose you bun and customize toppings and add cheese if you like too. Very made to order and taste great! I got the veggie burger on ciabatta with all the toppings it was amazing an led their house made sauces are great! Also got a side order of onion rings which were also delicious! My boyfriend and i came to have lunch at the habit which I think is in a nice area in central Phoenix. We ordered through the self order machine which is honestly kinda nice because you don't feel rushed when ordering up front. My char burger was really good, i love the grilled onions that came on it. However, my boyfriend got a jalapeño burger they have out right now.. we couldn't tell if the accidentally gave us a different patty or if it was just kind of odd looking. The patty was very flat and didn't look like your typical burger patty. It also had very little toppings, which I know you can customize but the picture made it look like there was going to be a lot of flavor and things on it. We probably would not recommend getting the jalapeño burger, if you want something with a kick maybe get some peppers offered at the condiment bar. His onion rings were really good though! read more

I went back into the restaurant and they forgot to tell me that they ran out of pineapple!! Common courtesy would tell you to at least say something before the order is placed. I don't know who told these genius's that a buzzer is efficient, personable, or hospitable. It is not. Especially not in 2021. I hate beepers. Think about the last time you even used that term. Have you EVER used that term? So antiquated. And, worse, it gives the folks working the line an open excuse for not expediting because they're relying on the beepers. Let me give you an example: knowing the buzzer was about to ring and my when it does I'd already be two minutes behind, so I approached the line BEFORE the beeper sounded: sure enough, sitting on the line were both my fries AND burger, 2 different locations on the line, both waiting...but for what? Beeper still not ringing. And the burger is not better 2 minutes later. A burger is not a steak, does NOT need to rest... Now, on what planet do the burger and fries get better as they sit there waiting for the buzzer to alert me? (Again, my buzzer had not yet rung and yet I'm seeing my order sitting there. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!wtf!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Other thoughts: * only Mayo? No standard condiments on the burger? Maybe they could ask me about classic American standards, you know, like mustard and ketchup? The taste? Good. Not really good. Just good. So, throw in the the beeper stuff with a mediocre mayo burger...for $12+...sheesh. Last week I had a double cheeseburger delivered from Denny's, 3am. About the same price and a MUCH BETTER, LARGER burger. A double burger from Jack in the Box, also delivered, was about the same quality as The Habit. About half the price. The Habit is excellent and delicious if u want to be bad. The burger or chicken on grilled sourdough would be hard to beat! Their fries are good and they have fresh strawberry lemonade and different fresh juice drinks and teas. The Habit is also pretty good if u want to be good. I chose to go to the Habit when I need to eat out but do t want to go off the rails on my diet. They have a great garden salad that I typically add the sushi grade ahi tuna steak served medium to. Started in Santa Barbara, California the food at The Habit is always very good. I have visited many locations over the years, and I am always impressed with the quality of the food served. The Habit offers hamburgers, salads, a few fish items along with a few chicken sandwiches (both fried and grilled). Recently, Yum Brands (Pizza Hut, Taco Bell & KFC) purchased The Habit chain.
