really good flavor , my first time eating it was awesome , I'm thinking of trying it next time and telling my friends

My daughter has been raving about this place so I thought I would give it a shot and googled if there was an Angie's near where I was going to be and lo and behold, there was not too far away at 1st Ave/Thomas. That location is close to a place I go to frequently, so this is another option for me if I should need some food and don't want to do Salad & Go, but want something healthy. I got an Asian Grilled Burrito with Wild Salmon. Was driving so a bowl I could not do. I could barely eat the burrito driving because it's sort of flat and had rice. It was very yummy. Something I learned was Angie's does not have straws and if you order a Refresher, they give you a packet of something to put in the cup. You have to figure out how to make the Refresher, which I saw at the soda fountain dispenser there was sparkling water, so I did that and some Vanilla Torino's. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I went about 11 am, and the Torino's were nearly gone and the little table that it was on was fairly unclean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The area to order, where you pickup the order, the soda area, and the metal table by the soda area were all really close and crowded.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Since this was my first time there, I didn't even understand that you had to order at some kiosk. They had one by the pickup area and 2 more on the east wall. Felt overwhelming for me. I did not see what the dining area looked like. My burrito was $11-12 and the Refresher was $2. My daughter said their prices were much better than Salad and Go and other places, but I found my meal similar. Oh, I guess the getting wild salmon was the costly thing. Had I gotten chicken, it would've been much less. My daughter said she's never had their burritos, only their salads. A lady that had ordered many times there did help me with some things I didn't understand and she said she loves their food. Turns out the owner of Angie's named the places after his mom who passed away about 5 yrs ago. He also started Salad and Go and this is upscale from Salad and Go. I'm glad this is an option. But maybe they can keep prices good is to cut on the things that don't really matter as much and focus on the food. I'm good with that. The next time I go to an Angie's, I will be better prepared. There isn't one too close to me like there are lots of Salad and Go's, so I hope they open some in Gilbert, Mesa, and Scottsdale. Oh, parking is not that great at this location. You basically need to be heading east on Thomas before 1st Ave as there are a few parking spots on the diagonal. Don't park in the First Watch parking lot. If you're coming west on Thomas, make a u-turn after you pass 1st Ave. read more

First time trying Angie's was a delivery order to my office. I was impressed by the chicken bowl I received. I built my own with spinach, brown rice, corn, feta, tomato and more. It was an amazing value for the money and the chicken was tender, spinach was crisp...I was impressed! Tonight I stopped by and decided to try the prime beef bowl with the cilantro dressing. I was delighted with the value, serving size and quality of the meat and ingredients. The "slop bowl" is a strong concept these days -- a jumble of veggies, fillers like quinoa or rice, and protein. Pleased to report that Angie's stands apart from the crowded field, distinguished by flavor and quality. Worth noting: you place orders on the kiosk and can customize. There are quesadillas, bowls, plates and more from which to choose. Because you do the order selection and input, the staff can focus entirely on assembling and delivering the orders. Stopped in and grabbed a build-your-own bowl and it absolutely delivered. Chicken was seasoned well, tender, and cooked the way you hope it will be every single time. The brown rice was fluffy, the sweet potatoes had that perfect little char, and the avocado tied everything together. What I really liked was how efficient everything felt. You can place your order at the kiosk inside or send it in ahead of time through the website, which is a huge win when your day is packed and timing matters. My friends and I stopped by Angie's Prime Grill on a Sunday evening to pick up salads. I'm not familiar with Angie's, but they seem to be very prominent in Arizona. I ordered the Cobb Salad and made some modifications: I added chicken, subbed the blue cheese with feta, subbed the blue cheese dressing with Caesar, and did half spinach/half romaine for my base. When my total came to less than $7, I thought there was an error. I've never been to a salad restaurant where entrees were under $10. With that price, you would think the portion would be very small, but it was actually very large and filling! They put a decent amount of bacon in the salad which was tasty. There was plenty of dressing for the salad and I appreciated the fact that it was in a pouch. There's nothing worse than an overdressed salad. I see why my friends enjoy coming to Angie's Prime Grill. They offer quick, inexpensive meals with healthy(ish) options. read more

I really enjoy Angie's overall, but this particular location was disappointing. I came in around 7:40 AM and walked up to the counter. One of the employees made eye contact with me more than once but didn't acknowledge me at all--no greeting, no "we'll be right with you," nothing. There's multiple mobile ordering kiosks so if you're someone like me who likes to take their time and carefully select what to order, this is perfect for you. Food comes out fairly quick and there's some tables and chairs just to the side. I do have to say, the parking lot is not great. There's very limited parking, and it's tight, and the signage is so hard to see so if you don't know exactly where to go you may miss it and have to turn around. This place recently had a $4.99 salad special, so I came to take advantage of the deal (only through January though)! I placed my order online and it was ready for pickup when I arrived. I did arrive 30 minutes after my scheduled arrival time, and my salad had just been sitting there on the counter. I was a little worried about it going bad, since it wasn't in a cooler or on a cold surface. But everything ended up being fine. There was parking available when I arrived at 830a on a weekday, but the restaurant is in a smaller plaza and if it's busy, parking might be harder. I ordered the Cobb salad with chicken and was really impressed with the quality of the meat. The bacon was in thick strips on the salad, it wasn't just bacon bits. The chicken was also delicious and the whole thing was just great! I would definitely order from here again! I've been sitting at St. Joseph's hospital with my hubby for a week, and couldn't bear one more day of hospital cafeteria food. One of the physical therapists mentioned Angie's Prime Grill, which is a across the street from the 3rd Ave garage. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There is a cute black and white striped awning (I love awnings) and a couple of tables out front. When you walk in, there are three kiosks on which you order. Straight ahead are metal shelves labeled with letters of the alphabet, and a drink machine with cups next to it. There is a small dining room lined with a wood wall on one side and a mural on the other[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. There is no human interaction here. You can order online or at the kiosks, but there is no person to actually take your order or your payment. I ordered and paid online ahead of time, and by the time I crossed the street and made the very short walk to Angie's, my order was done and waiting for me on the shelf. The food here seems pretty healthy. I got the Cobb bowl--brown rice, avocado, bacon, hard boiled egg, tomatoes, red onion, blue cheese, and chicken. I switched out the blue cheese sauce for blue cheese dressing. It was really, really good! Not only was it delicious, it was big (big enough for two meals for me), but it was so inexpensive! I got the meal, which includes a drink, and the Grand total was only $8.00!!!! Hubby is not scheduled to be released until the end of the month, so I'm looking forward to returning--maybe I'll have the Mexican bowl next time. The problem with everything now is jobs are slowly disappearing because restaurants like this and especially grocery stores, are expecting the consumer, THE ONE WHO IS PAYING, to do the work! There were a total of 7, count them seven! Bite sized pieces of steak in my bowl. I understand the cheap prices, but id rather pay $15 for a larger bowl that actually can be a meal. You will be mostly eating rice and sauce. Minimal veggie portion sizes besides the raw spinach or romaine that takes up half of the warm bowl (not even a salad bowl!). I left slightly full but not hungry enough to eat another full meal. So only come here of you are mildly hungry or want a snack! I also ordered a warm bowl, not a salad. Yet half my bowl was spinach. I didnt want a salad so I didnt order one. But Im still eating a salad... When you compare what you get to other similar DIY bowl spots like Chipotle and cava, you get so much more at those places. For just $2 more at Chipotle you can get a steak bowl with literally double the amount of meat you get here plus more veggies aside from the salad on a warm bowl. At cava for $3 more you can get over 15 different vegetables plus the option to actually get a real warm bowl, salad, lentils, rice, half n half, or any other combo, and you get to CHOOSE or ask for more of a specific kind. Cava also puts the food on top of the spinach so half the bowl isnt just a spinach salad. So no room is wasted unlike here. Not sure what they owners are thinking making all warm bowls actually half salads. Guess raw lettuce does fluff up a bowl to look fuller... also, theres no way to substitute options and no worker to speak to that would be helpful. For the money youre paying, sure its cheaper than most places, but you would get so much more elsewhere for only a few bucks more. Think about it... read more

I finally got to try Angie's Prime Grill! I've always been a fan of their Lobster Roll locations and now they have expanded to great burgers and awesome salad and rice bowls where you can choose the style and protein desired all starting at $4.99 they use antibiotic & hormone free chicken, USDA prime top sirloin steak, and wild caught Mexican colossal shrimp. The cheeseburger combo with fries and a drink is $6.19 both are an amazing deal. The burger was jucy and full of flavor I love the crispy shoestring fries and thier special burger sauce is yummy. I ordered online at 11:55 AM, and the site said my food would be ready by 12:15 PM, but I didn't receive it until around 12:50 PM, so about a 45-50 minute wait in total. The food itself was decent, not bad, but not over the top amazing either. It's a good spot to try if you're nearby. I just gotta say this wasn't good, wasn't good at all. I finally was able to stop by Angie's Grill since it's near my work. I decided to try the burgers. When you walk in, you're made to order through the kiosks (there are 3). I wanted some items removed from my burger and it took me a second to figure it out, I feel like the process could have been easier. (Other fast food apps are way easier to modify the orders). You type in your name and pay and just wait for them to call it out. From what I saw, there were two employees working behind the counter. They did come assist a customer that needed help but this is definitely one of those places where customer service isn't #1. I go the bacon cheeseburger combo. It took almost 15min. I went around 2pm so that was a bit long seeing as there wasn't the lunch crowd there. They called out my name and placed the order at the window/shelf. When I got in my car, I took a look at the burger and it was very underwhelming. But looks can be deceiving so I waited till I got to work to give it a try and wow, disappointment!! This tasted worse than say a McDonald's burger. It honestly tasted like the burgers I would get in the school cafeteria. I honestly don't know what took so long to basically give me a microwaved burger. The patty was so thin and gave frozen vibes. There were only two thin bacon slices, waxy cheese and the bun wasn't soft. I only ate barely half the burger and threw the rest away. I will say that the fries were good. I like that you order at a self serve kiosk and there are multiple of them so a few people can order at once if the restaurant is busy. The food took a pretty long time for a cheeseburger and fries, I didn't keep good track of time but I was probably waiting for about 15 minutes. I really liked the fries and sauce - the fries have a different seasoning on them than they do at Angie's Lobster, and the sauce is sweeter compared to the one that is served with the seafood at other locations. The burger is alright, but nothing too special. It had a lot of seasoning and it was kind of tough but some juices did come out when I took a bite. Location, location, location. Salad and Go & Angie's Lobster has opened its newest concept, Angie's Prime Grill in Central Phoenix. While the center city outpost is appreciated, this facility is not. When they announced this location on Facebook, the Agent offered no viable comment regarding the lack of a drive thru (which is part of the company's concept for other restaurants). Nor did they offer any assurances about a curbside pickup option. Unless you're willing and able to get out of your vehicle, you're out of luck. Parking is limited and the spots are narrow. When I walked in, I expected the aroma of grilled meats. Instead, I was met with the stench of sewer water. While the restroom wasn't fancy, it appeared clean. If this is a public sewer issue, I respectfully urge the property owner to manage this. The stench isn't pleasant under any circumstances; certainly not at a restaurant. Further, the dining area is dark and needs better lighting. An employee was at the ready to take my order. If you prefer, there are two kiosks to go the same. There are no online or any app for ordering, which is another departure from the company's Salad and Go concept. My order was ready in about five minutes. I requested the Cobb Bowl with steak. It was good, though I wish the steak were more evenly cooked. Further, the dressing is served in plastic packets which are impossible to open. Combine this with the fact the packet is damp (from being in the bowl) and no knives are available. I attempted to use the fork tines, but they became bent out of shape and still had no luck opening the packet. This is a must fix for APG. Heirloom tomatoes made the dish pretty, but they were quite dry. I also ordered the Berries and Cream Energy Drink. It was tasty and would recommend it. Full disclosure: I'm writing this review on their opening day. I doubt APG will consider moving to a different location, but there are a few changes needed for this restaurant to go from "good" to "great". read more

Okay this is on my top 5 Phoenix. Completely customized bowls with protein are literally $5-$9. The ingredients are DELICIOUS, their dressings taste fresh and amazing. You cannot beat the price.
