I was honestly pretty bummed when salad and go closed, but after trying angie's I think this is actually a huge upgrade. There are way more options and it's still really easy to get something healthy without spending a ton. I got the Chicken Protein Bowl XL with brown rice, avocado, sweet potatoes, pepperoncinis, a hard boiled egg and extra chicken. The portions were really good, especially for the price. You can't really tell from the picture, but there was an insane amount of chicken buried underneath the rice. I kept thinking I was almost done with the chicken and then finding more underneath which was definitely a nice surprise. Everything in the bowl tasted fresh and the chicken was probably my favorite part. I also liked how customizable everything was. There are enough different proteins and toppings that you could come here pretty often without having to get the same thing every time. I've also tried the lobster rolls here in the past. I thought those were pretty average, but definitely not bad considering the price. I'd probably stick with the bowls going forward though. My daughter has been raving about this place so I thought I would give it a shot and googled if there was an Angie's near where I was going to be and lo and behold, there was not too far away at 1st Ave/Thomas. That location is close to a place I go to frequently, so this is another option for me if I should need some food and don't want to do Salad & Go, but want something healthy. I got an Asian Grilled Burrito with Wild Salmon. Was driving so a bowl I could not do. I could barely eat the burrito driving because it's sort of flat and had rice. It was very yummy. Something I learned was Angie's does not have straws and if you order a Refresher, they give you a packet of something to put in the cup. You have to figure out how to make the Refresher, which I saw at the soda fountain dispenser there was sparkling water, so I did that and some Vanilla Torino's. I went about 11 am, and the Torino's were nearly gone and the little table that it was on was fairly unclean. The area to order, where you pickup the order, the soda area, and the metal table by the soda area were all really close and crowded. Since this was my first time there, I didn't even understand that you had to order at some kiosk. They had one by the pickup area and 2 more on the east wall. Felt overwhelming for me. I did not see what the dining area looked like. My burrito was $11-12 and the Refresher was $2. My daughter said their prices were much better than Salad and Go and other places, but I found my meal similar. Oh, I guess the getting wild salmon was the costly thing. Had I gotten chicken, it would've been much less. My daughter said she's never had their burritos, only their salads. A lady that had ordered many times there did help me with some things I didn't understand and she said she loves their food. Turns out the owner of Angie's named the places after his mom who passed away about 5 yrs ago. He also started Salad and Go and this is upscale from Salad and Go. I'm glad this is an option. But maybe they can keep prices good is to cut on the things that don't really matter as much and focus on the food. I'm good with that. The next time I go to an Angie's, I will be better prepared. There isn't one too close to me like there are lots of Salad and Go's, so I hope they open some in Gilbert, Mesa, and Scottsdale. Oh, parking is not that great at this location. You basically need to be heading east on Thomas before 1st Ave as there are a few parking spots on the diagonal. Don't park in the First Watch parking lot. Since "Salad and Go" closed I wanted to try Angie's Prime Grill. I know they both had the same owners at one time. We went on a Saturday afternoon and there wasn't much parking but we did manage to find a spot. I was a little surprised because it looked kinda dirty and unkempt inside. You order at the kiosk. Nothing was coded gluten free and I couldn't find anything online about food allergies. I did find a worker that said she did have a chart of allergies at one time. She couldn't find it. I was scared to eat there but my husband got a bowl and drink. The prices are incredibly reasonable. Bummed out there's no gluten free coding. read more

My friends and I stopped by Angie's Prime Grill on a Sunday evening to pick up salads. I'm not familiar with Angie's, but they seem to be very prominent in Arizona. They had two ordering kiosks which were easy to use. We ordered our food to go but they do have a small dining area. All of their establishments are cashless. I ordered the Cobb Salad and made some modifications: I added chicken, subbed the blue cheese with feta, subbed the blue cheese dressing with Caesar, and did half spinach/half romaine for my base. When my total came to less than $7, I thought there was an error. I've never been to a salad restaurant where entrees were under $10. With that price, you would think the portion would be very small, but it was actually very large and filling! They put a decent amount of bacon in the salad which was tasty. There was plenty of dressing for the salad and I appreciated the fact that it was in a pouch. There's nothing worse than an overdressed salad. I see why my friends enjoy coming to Angie's Prime Grill. They offer quick, inexpensive meals with healthy(ish) options. read more

You get what you pay for folks. This place is a disaster. You will literally wait over an hour for food that you ordered an hour prior. They will misquote your wait time every time. They have an option to schedule your order ahead of time. It doesn't matter. It will still be over an hour. Unfortunately I don't have a picture but the food was amazing. I got the Caprese warm bowl with chicken and it was under $6. It is crazy how much quality food you can get for so cheap!! There's multiple mobile ordering kiosks so if you're someone like me who likes to take their time and carefully select what to order, this is perfect for you. Food comes out fairly quick and there's some tables and chairs just to the side. I do have to say, the parking lot is not great. There's very limited parking, and it's tight, and the signage is so hard to see so if you don't know exactly where to go you may miss it and have to turn around. This was the first Angie's I've tried since Salad & Go closed, and their menu was thrilling -- pretty much everything I loved about S&G is here as well, with the same ingredients and the same pricing. The location on Thomas was a surprise because instead of drive-thru it's a walk-in to get your order, and there are tables in case you want to eat right away. I was disappointed that the self-serve soda machine had only a few of the advertised flavors; the other buttons gave water instead of Coke Zero or whatever. But I haven't given up hope for Angie's -- the breakfast bowl was FABULOUS, and there are other locations whose drinks might be working perfectly! read more

Ive been to other Angie's locations before and loved it every single time. Not this time. This chicken was so tough I couldn't even bite through it. Broccoli is both undercooked and overcooked. Rice and avocado were great. We ordered another bowl and it was the same, except cucumbers were completely forgotten. Think I will stick to the other locations I have been to. Also, they supposedly weren't selling rice because they ran out but five minutes after I put in my order of just veggies and protein, they magically had rice and wouldn't even let me purchase it as a side. This place recently had a $4.99 salad special, so I came to take advantage of the deal (only through January though)! I placed my order online and it was ready for pickup when I arrived. I did arrive 30 minutes after my scheduled arrival time, and my salad had just been sitting there on the counter. I was a little worried about it going bad, since it wasn't in a cooler or on a cold surface. But everything ended up being fine. There was parking available when I arrived at 830a on a weekday, but the restaurant is in a smaller plaza and if it's busy, parking might be harder. I ordered the Cobb salad with chicken and was really impressed with the quality of the meat. The bacon was in thick strips on the salad, it wasn't just bacon bits. The chicken was also delicious and the whole thing was just great! I would definitely order from here again! The had a really nice looking lobby to eat in at too! read more

I've been sitting at St. Joseph's hospital with my hubby for a week, and couldn't bear one more day of hospital cafeteria food. One of the physical therapists mentioned Angie's Prime Grill, which is a across the street from the 3rd Ave garage. There is a cute black and white striped awning (I love awnings) and a couple of tables out front. When you walk in, there are three kiosks on which you order. Straight ahead are metal shelves labeled with letters of the alphabet, and a drink machine with cups next to it. There is a small dining room lined with a wood wall on one side and a mural on the other. There is no human interaction here. You can order online or at the kiosks, but there is no person to actually take your order or your payment. I ordered and paid online ahead of time, and by the time I crossed the street and made the very short walk to Angie's, my order was done and waiting for me on the shelf. The food here seems pretty healthy. I got the Cobb bowl--brown rice, avocado, bacon, hard boiled egg, tomatoes, red onion, blue cheese, and chicken. I switched out the blue cheese sauce for blue cheese dressing. It was really, really good! Not only was it delicious, it was big (big enough for two meals for me), but it was so inexpensive! I got the meal, which includes a drink, and the Grand total was only $8.00!!!! Hubby is not scheduled to be released until the end of the month, so I'm looking forward to returning--maybe I'll have the Mexican bowl next time. Workers were very unhelpful and unfriendly and didn't even attempt to prepare my drink how it said on the order. There were a total of 7, count them seven! Bite sized pieces of steak in my bowl. I understand the cheap prices, but id rather pay $15 for a larger bowl that actually can be a meal. You will be mostly eating rice and sauce. Minimal veggie portion sizes besides the raw spinach or romaine that takes up half of the warm bowl (not even a salad bowl!). I left slightly full but not hungry enough to eat another full meal. So only come here of you are mildly hungry or want a snack! I also ordered a warm bowl, not a salad. Yet half my bowl was spinach. I didnt want a salad so I didnt order one. But Im still eating a salad... When you compare what you get to other similar DIY bowl spots like Chipotle and cava, you get so much more at those places. For just $2 more at Chipotle you can get a steak bowl with literally double the amount of meat you get here plus more veggies aside from the salad on a warm bowl. At cava for $3 more you can get over 15 different vegetables plus the option to actually get a real warm bowl, salad, lentils, rice, half n half, or any other combo, and you get to CHOOSE or ask for more of a specific kind. Cava also puts the food on top of the spinach so half the bowl isnt just a spinach salad. So no room is wasted unlike here. Not sure what they owners are thinking making all warm bowls actually half salads. Guess raw lettuce does fluff up a bowl to look fuller... also, theres no way to substitute options and no worker to speak to that would be helpful. For the money youre paying, sure its cheaper than most places, but you would get so much more elsewhere for only a few bucks more. Think about it... read more

I just gotta say this wasn't good, wasn't good at all. I finally was able to stop by Angie's Grill since it's near my work. I decided to try the burgers. When you walk in, you're made to order through the kiosks (there are 3). I wanted some items removed from my burger and it took me a second to figure it out, I feel like the process could have been easier. (Other fast food apps are way easier to modify the orders). You type in your name and pay and just wait for them to call it out. From what I saw, there were two employees working behind the counter. They did come assist a customer that needed help but this is definitely one of those places where customer service isn't #1. I go the bacon cheeseburger combo. It took almost 15min. I went around 2pm so that was a bit long seeing as there wasn't the lunch crowd there. They called out my name and placed the order at the window/shelf. When I got in my car, I took a look at the burger and it was very underwhelming. But looks can be deceiving so I waited till I got to work to give it a try and wow, disappointment!! This tasted worse than say a McDonald's burger. It honestly tasted like the burgers I would get in the school cafeteria. I honestly don't know what took so long to basically give me a microwaved burger. The patty was so thin and gave frozen vibes. There were only two thin bacon slices, waxy cheese and the bun wasn't soft. I only ate barely half the burger and threw the rest away. I will say that the fries were good. Like I said, this was really disappointing and I love Angie's Lobster but this was horrible. I will not be back again to get the burgers. It was $9.99 +tax. I finally got to try Angie's Prime Grill! I've always been a fan of their Lobster Roll locations and now they have expanded to great burgers and awesome salad and rice bowls where you can choose the style and protein desired all starting at $4.99 they use antibiotic & hormone free chicken, USDA prime top sirloin steak, and wild caught Mexican colossal shrimp. The cheeseburger combo with fries and a drink is $6.19 both are an amazing deal. The burger was jucy and full of flavor I love the crispy shoestring fries and thier special burger sauce is yummy. They were very busy you order from a kiosk station they do have limited seating but you can see they do a lot of takeout and a much better choice for your fast food dollar and healthier too! read more

I ordered online at 11:55 AM, and the site said my food would be ready by 12:15 PM, but I didn't receive it until around 12:50 PM, so about a 45-50 minute wait in total. The food itself was decent, not bad, but not over the top amazing either. It's a good spot to try if you're nearby.
