This was unfortunately the worst 5 guys experience I've had. The bun on my burger was rock solid and crumbled when I took a bite. The fries (regular size) were good, but they forgot to put the extra scoop in the bag. When you pay $7 for a fry, you want it to be more than just the little cup they put inside. Overall, the food was very disappointing. It was pretty busy and while I got my food in a reasonable amount of time, I can't say the same for the other patrons in the store. Been here 10 years now and never gotten the urge to try a 5 Guys burger. Popped in last week aaaaand, yeah. No. $5 for some severely over-salted fries. $6 for a hot dog of some description (tasted a little school-dinnery).... $7.50 for a mini (I said MINI) cheeseburger that was so mushy and tasteless I couldn't finish it. The lettuce looked like it died a while ago too. Throw in some lukewarm 'iced tea' (yeah - I don't know what went wrong either), and I'm pretty lukewarm about the experience myself. No disrespect to the staff (who were great), but the food was sub-par. Nobody should be serving a tasteless, mushy mess of a burger like that for $7.50 when it pretty much 'what you do'. Anyways. This location is nice since it's located by many other restaurants and shopping. There's no indoor seating but they do have three tables outside that you can sit at. The employees are friendly and helpful. The few times that we have been here, our order takes about 20-30 minutes to be completed. That's for two burgers and one order of fries. So it's a longer wait then other places but worth it in my opinion. Their burgers and fries are good and taste just like their other locations. Parking can be a little hectic though. With so many other restaurants in the same area depending on the day/time it can be hard to get a spot. Another thing to keep in mind is their prices are a little high. I usually only eat here with my husband. If I want to eat burgers with my whole family, we go across the street to Habit where their prices are cheaper and bigger menu as well. I decided to give Five Guys a try after a few years of not having been to one. With memories of good sized burgers and being able to put any of a large assortment of add one to the burger, I was hungry and ready. I ordered a Little Bacon Burger with lettuce, tomato, pickles and grilled onions along with a Little Fries. Upon getting my order, and deciding to check the receipt details, I was given a Little Bacon Cheeseburger. I don't eat cheese. Upon taking the bun off to scrape off the cheese, I noticed the burger itself was just over half the size of the bun. Being on a work lunch, I went ahead and ate the burger although I didn't get the grilled onions either. Needless to say, I should have gone to the Habit Burger across the street and will never again walk into a Five Guys. The prices they charge along with the burger produced is simply not worth the time and effort. read more

The guy who took care of us Ruben G and the other guys in the store today were the most distant and unresponsive host I have ran into. We said thank you and there was no welcome. They stared and whispered as I took my order. It was very uncomfortable and made me feel unwelcome. As someone who is from Virginia, I have been to a looooooot of Five Guys locations in my life. And it always gives me a warm fuzzy feeling to see a little piece of Virginia here in Arizona. If somehow you've never been... I highly recommend it. Food: I love their burgers, though they are a bit greasy. A little bacon cheeseburger (little just means one patty instead of two) with lettuce, tomatoes, grilled onions, extra grilled mushrooms, green peppers, and bbq sauce. (My s/o only adds green peppers, jalapeno, and bbq sauce and pays the same. Free toppings are my faaaave.) I used to get jalapenos on my burgers, but the jalapenos that they serve up here are fresher and spicier than the ones at the Five Guys back home, so now I only get them on occasion. The fry portions are HUGE, but their Cajun fries can't be beat. In my opinion, their large fries is enough for 3-4 people to share. My brother swears by their milkshakes, but I don't really like milkshakes, so I haven't had one. Also, if you've never dipped a fry in malt vinegar + ketchup, you should give it a try. Service: The service isn't the fastest here, even in comparison to other Five Guys locations, but I'll let that slide. read more

The posters lining the walls talking about how good this place is are mostly from the last decade, because all the cool new burger place are better without question. So what if the fries come in portions you struggle to finish on your own? They're not that good. There aren't many cool toppings to choose from. Ooh, American cheese...I'm enthralled...not. Would have been a bit more pleasant if the younger female employee and the person, who I'm assuming was the manager on duty, weren't in the back playing around with each other instead of letting the meat patties overcook on the griddle. Outstanding levels of mediocrity. Four different occasions I have come here placed an order and watched people behind me get their food made first. Normally isn't too big deal, however when I placed my order today there was nobody behind me at all. So standing there patiently waiting and watching my burger. I can see my patty on the grille. Then four other people come in, 2 pairs, and place orders, watched her proceed to make their double hamburgers, while my single patty was still on the grill, then she proceeds to take an order for a hotdog and prepares it. She makes the two double burgers, dresses them, puts their double burger together, wraps them, prepared the hotdog. ....and Finally...for the person who came in first, when I was nobody there, she starts to address my single patty burger. At this point she pulls it off the grille and I'm mentally done. Feel like a caged lion watching my food that I can't touch, pacing back and forth. I paid money just like everybody else, but this is the standard experience at this restaurant. You order your food. If someone else comes in behind? Well prepare for their food to be made first. So expect 5 pm to be busy. Yet there are 2 employees and only one is handling the order taking, the grill, the fries, the sending orders out. First and possibly last time eating at this chain. First off it gets 2 stars due to the employees being exceptionally nice. The food I received was wrong. I ordered a double cheeseburger with the works and a dog with bacon. I picked this up on the way home from Work. Naturally I'm a little exhausted. I stopped by a local five guys last night because I was craving a burger. I forgot how great this place is! I ordered a mini cheeseburger and a regular order of fries but I added the Cajun seasoning. I also decided on a peanut butter shake. I think this is maybe something new or I just never noticed they had desserts before. Either way, it was delicious and I will definitely be back to try more flavors in the future. I stopped in pretty close to closing and they were pretty busy. I don't think they had enough staff working as I only saw one guy pretty much doing it all. It may have been thrown off because it was a night before a holiday but I felt bad for him! There was amazing service at this restaurant location. The cashier was very courteous, responsive, and fast. The cashier processed are orders very quickly and the restaurant was also extremely clean. We waited only about 10 minutes then our orders were announced ready. They packed our small fries so much that they looked as if they were a size large! The entire experience started off bad with the girl taking my order not letting me speak and kept interrupting me giving me an attitude. Normally I'm a huge fan of Five Guys and took a couple buddies to show them that there burgers were comparable to In-n-Out, with better French fries! We just left a phenomenal convention and let's just say this location was an extreme letdown. This review has nothing to do with the employees, the three stars is all them; They were excellent! This is about the horrible buns they were given and old lettuce. I don't know if the buns were old or just disgusting but they ruined the burger. I'm just lucky i didn't make any bets with my friends before we got there or I would have been screwed! The buns also left a terrible aftertaste that killed the flavor of the fries I usually love.
