    Pancake and seafood eggroll w/fries
    Adrienne C.

Not gonna lie, I was iffy about coming to this place when my friends suggested it for brunch but turns out, I was a little wrong. The waitresses were so sweet, welcoming, and attentive. The space is nice. You do have to park on the parking garage and take the elevator. They validate your parking. Anyway, I got cranberry mimosas which were made perfectly. I also got the crawfish gravy over fried grits and a side of potatoes. I LOVED the crawfish gravy and grits. I was not impressed by the potatoes. They were undercooked and a little greasy. The seasoning on them slid off due to the grease that was on them. They just didn't do it for me. They also give you a complimentary praline cornbread. The cornbread itself didn't taste like much but the praline sauce that was on it was good. My friends suggested got the seafood eggroll and it came with fries (menu says it comes with coleslaw) but my friends was happy with the fries. She also got a pancake which she said was good. They didn't bring syrup for it so she had to ask for that and when she did get some it was a very small amount and the pancake itself was huge. My other friend got the chicken and waffles with a side of potatoes. He enjoyed the chicken and waffles. They both got pineapple mimosas which they enjoyed as well. Cute place, nice staff, good food, good drinks. Can't go wrong.

First time trying this delicious Cajun spot and already looking forward to going back. Staff are extremely nice and very welcoming. We were greeted with some delicious corn bread to try and it was sweet and moist. It was a tasty start to the meal. I opted for a side of grits and we tried the praline cornbread bananas foster. The grits were the best I have ever heard, super creamy and had a savory flavor to them. They were perfect just the way they were and didn't need any cheese or topping. The bananas foster had that delicious cornbread with a caramelized butter and brown sugar sauce. It comes with a side of eggs and meat of your choice. Everything was cooked to perfection! The place is very small inside, only a few tables. It's super cute and they make it work for the size. We ended up buying a bottle of their delicious butter garlic sauce and some Cajun seasoning.

If you love Cajun cuisine, friendly service with owners that make you feel part of the family, and supporting small businesses come here! At first we were a bit confused because the signage above still advertises croissants (Not sure if they've changed it since we ate here in July) but it turns out since they bought the business from the croissant place it is now Cajun food and croissants. Seating is limited but on a random summer weekday we had no problem getting a table. The menu offers a lot of the popular Cajun favorites and we were offered some complimentary praline cornbread which was very moist and full flavored. There were so many delectable items on the menu it was hard to choose just one. I went with the classic Cajun bowl with sausage. It was oh so good! The grits were just the right consistency and went well with the tender sausage and fluffy eggs. Service was beyond exceptional. They really make you feel at home here. We will definitely come back again when we want a nice leisurely breakfast!

The food was great and the service was just as amazing! The owner is really sweet and helpful if you have any questions about the menu. We got the gumbo & grits and alligator & grits.

This is my second time here and it didn't disappoint! This time I brought my hubby with me and he was in aw! I had the crawfish étouffée over grits with pork sausage! The flyover was outstanding! My hubby had the Big Cajun Breakfast with grilled catfish and he loved it! Davita knows how to do the damn thing! This is a must try if you are looking for some down-home Cajun Cooking!

I'm torn. I want them to do so well that they exceed their own hopes and ecxpectations. So I want y'all to find it and try it. But don't come here and try to fast food my favorite cafe. I love the charm and personalization. It takes a little while to cook each meal to order. And when you come to terms with that, you'll be amazed at how fast they are. It's a small dining area with only 5 tables. One with 2 chairs, one with 3 and the rest with 4. I've been here when they're full and the volume is still reasonable. You can carry on conversation without raising your voice or struggling to hear.

    Beignets and praline sauce

I woke up craving catfish and grits. O-M-Geee. These are the best grits I ever had in my life! The praline cornbread was amazing. The beignets with praline sauce was so good. I need more. It's a tiny cafe with five tables. They also do catering. All I heard from other patrons was "quality ingredients." The woman, Davita, is devine. Addressing everyone by name. She checked on me. I said "When the food is this good, I'm quietly enjoying every bite." Catfish, grits, and eggs were amazing. So happy to find this cute little cafe. I can't do Brunch & Sip for my catfish cravings because they are too loud. Will definitely be back here.

Chicken and waffles delish - A plate of fried chicken wings on a waffle, accompanied by three dipping sauces and a packet of syrup, served at Cajun Breakfast Joint.

Wow, wow, wow!!!! don't be misled by the looks this place is the bomb along with the customer experience was above and beyond, amazing customer interfacing. Lets put it this way I truly dislike corn bread well that's no longer the case they bring you out some before your meal it is delish its more like corn cake so moist and delicious. As for or meals I must say they rocked that as well. Its a diamond in the rough and a must try.

French toast. Has more of an "icing glaze" for syrup - French toast slices with a dusting of powdered sugar, served in a black tray with a fork.

So we were looking at cars in the area and got hungry. We found this place was within 5 miles of the Tempe auto mall and had great reviews (plus it was different with their Cajun style). We ordered the biscuits and crawfish gravy and a French toast. The food was very good! Came out hot and was plenty filling. The bonus was seeing one of the owners making her way table to table with genuine concern to make sure everything was good! The "cons" are that the restaurant is very small and tight. There are about 5 tables but when in use it makes it difficult for patrons to come in and grab their to-go orders. Also, our food did take some time to get to us after ordering. The good was that even though it was about 20mins or so the food was hot. I can only guess they got behind because of the number of people with to-go orders. We also had to wait a long time for them to make more coffee. We actually finished our food by the time the coffee was ready and to be honest, the coffee wasn't great. Lastly, the girl running the cash register and serving had a great personality. She did everything with a smile so the owners did great by hiring her! I believe this restaurant can be great once they pick up the pace and continue to make improvements. It was to have something different with the Louisiana Cajun food. That is what made it stand out and tempt us to try them!

Shrimp grits. Over easy eggs. Croissant. Andouille
    Jensen M.

Shrimp and grits. 2 eggs. Andouille sausage. Delicious. One of my eggs was over hard, but flavors were great. The owner was super warm. And the shrimp was perfectly tender.

We are two out of this before we got a picture. Each order comes with 3. - Four fried items dusted with powdered sugar are inside a foam takeout container lined with aluminum foil, with a small cup of syrup.

We are already planning to go back. Like this is our new favorite place. Seriously, everything has so much flavor. Some has a little kick. Mac n cheese has crab and shrimp with sausage. Etouffe was so creamy. Jambalaya was really good. Grilled alligator yum. Grits were creamy. Crawfish biscuits and gravy was so savory with slices of sausage. Service was fantastic. They sell their own seasoning so grab that. Hands down best Cajun creole we have had. Oh and the praline cream cheese beignets were freaking orgasmic!!!! Huge portions too!!!

That said, my experiences with service have been inconsistent. My husband and I came in for breakfast one morning and, while the server seemed to be doing his best, he appeared overwhelmed and possibly understaffed. It took quite a while before we were greeted, and service throughout the meal felt slow as he juggled multiple tables. On a separate visit, I ordered takeout. Unfortunately, the hostess who greeted me wasn't very welcoming, and there was another noticeable wait before my food was ready. The pricing is a bit on the higher side, but I will say the burger itself was excellent--great flavor, a nice char, and a generous portion of fries. Overall, this place has a lot of potential given its atmosphere and food quality, but improving customer service--especially front-of-house friendliness and efficiency--would make a big difference. If you're already staying at the hotel, it's worth checking out, but I'm not sure I'd go out of my way to return.

The shrimp cocktail was fabulous. Their fish and chips were fabulous. I opted for the grilled asparagus instead of the chips. The best I've EVER HAD! The service was outstanding. There is an EOS in the same center, and I have a sneaky suspicion that's the reason for it lack of parking. Steve I'm back walking out and got a space right near the door. It's kind of cool because the building is raised up almost like it's on up here and there's blue lighting underneath the building at night. When you walk in there is a dining room area in the bar, there is a another large dining room, and when you walk through there there is a different room that is the sushi bar. The sushi bar is so cute with counter seating as well as some seating around the room. The dining room we were in had a glass ceiling, but the shades were pulled. I'm guessing because it was a bright and hot day. Fair are life-size "fish" hanging around the dining room, and what's really great is that the server seem to know what each of these fish is. I asked about a large red one and the server knew immediately that it was an opah. I found it really quite interesting. Our server was very cheerful, knowledgeable, and really on her toes. She was working hard for her money because this place was really packed. And even though she was clearly busy, she managed to be extremely attentive and checked on this often. She immediately brought our water and probably came back for our cocktail orders. We ordered a couple of drinks and I serve her bought us hot sourdough bread with butter. It was really good. Despite not knowing what a sand dab is, after speaking with the server I ended up giving it a try. Sand dabs are a small fish similar to flounder that are delicacy in california. My order came with three sand fans, and it was delicious. It reminded me of swai, which I love but is hard to find in restaurants. It had a wonderful buttery flavor and topped with the beurre blanc with capers, it was delicious. It was hard with a yummy scalloped potatoes and green beans. It was a 10 out of 10 for me. Hubby got the trout almondine with the scalloped potatoes and green beans. His trout was quite large. Both of us were very happy with our choices. We were quite happy with our experience here. There aren't a lot of seafood options in the area, but this is a solid choice. Prices are not terrible either which is another added bonus!
