Combo B(crab legs, mussels, shrimp,sliced sausage, corn, red potato), was shared amongst two people and was a good amount of food for sharing. The corn on the cob was too soft, not much crunch to it, the potato was very bland. I feel like they should've poked holes in it if the only flavor we received came from the sauce. The gumbo was bland. House special was our sauce and medium for the heat level. The sauce was not evenly mixed and the heat level was not spicy just a little kick to it. I don't have an issue with our server he was kind. However the food was not it. I ordered a hot house sauce bag of sides, corn , potatoes, and noodles. The spice level was not spicy and when I asked for a side of extra hot sauce it was sweet. Upon arrival it was empty but I went on a Wednesday at 2pm. The service was okay, nothing extra nothing dissatisfying. The soda they had on tap was a bit flat but our server attended to our concern & switched our drink. We ordered fried zucchini, crab puffs & peeled shrimp boil with a lobster tail. (Sausage, corn, potatoes & noodles with their house sauce) The zucchini was great and had the perfect crunch. The crab puffs were also great & very filling. The boil was okay, again I am not much of a seafood boil fan. I have only had it one other time aside from this dine in. It tasted as I would have assumed it should have. The sauce was a bit overbearing for me, a lot of garlic for my liking. The added noodles we ordered in it also may have been a bit much. I would've probably enjoyed it more without them. With this one order both my husband & I ate. I enjoyed the cleanliness of the restaurant, it is very on theme for the food it serves & the experience was good overall. The food was yummy. I should have taken pictures of the food right when they came out. I had the mozzarella sticks and the seafood fried rice. My friend had the fried zucchini sticks and the seafood rice with extra shrimp. My friend really liked the ginger beer. It was a little bit spicy. Worst seafood boil I ever had. Spent 200$ and had to throw it away. It tastes like they boil it in water then slap sauce on the top that is horrible not even good sauce. Shrimp are rubbery I would never recommend coming here even to my worst enemy. I'd compare the spice sea to the cemetery cause it's sad to see anyone there. Most of us had the build your own boil with all three sauces mixed and as someone who rarely eats any seafood I really enjoyed myself juicy delicious shrimps and down to the sausages and potato's that sauce was delicious! What a great day! So we booked for large party for my nieces 19th Birthday. We got 3 boil bags and a one pound shrimp bag. Two fish and chips orders of cod, one of the cat fish and it all was fire. Order of oysters on the half shell, the seafood soup, tried the gumbo an the rue needs thickening work it was flavorful though just a bit watery. We got fried calamari it was ok, we also got the chicken tenders they were more like nuggets, and some of the crawfish and several drinks. Service was ok they probably don't get much diversity. He did his best to be friendly, remember all our items be attentive I mean it's a lot going on with a crowd of people whom they probably assumed wouldn't tip or be quiet. Ain't no shade at all when it's love in here and we appreciate the time we spent together trying a place none of us ever been, and wasn't common. Not a fan. This place skimped on everything. Sad to say. We came in excited and left disappointed. One person working the bar , the hostess, serving and food runner. Im not sure how you can do 8 positions in one and Adequately attend to the guest. Oh well! Food was mediocre. We tried the seafood fried rice and the 36$ Boil bag. When the bag arrive I was excited to dig in. After opening the bag and looking through. Everything was fairly small except for the shrimp with head on. The crawfish we small and missing claws. The sausage pieces were so thin, I couldnt believe they were charging for them. Lol The corn was good my daughter enjoyed it the most. We did their famous sauce not sure the name. Mild it was tasty. We went on a Saturday 30 minutes after it opened. It was understandably empty with only 2 other patrons. We walked in and there was no one at the front. It took a while for someone to come and greet us I was ready to walk out after 15 minutes of waiting for someone. But right as I was going to give up a nice lady walked out of the kitchen and sat us. She was very friendly and promptly took our drink orders. We went with their combo C for 64 bucks. It was more than enough for me and my daughter to enjoy and still have leftovers! Be prepared for a messy, tasty and awesome meal. For appetizers we ordered fried mushrooms and fried zucchini, both were fried crispy and very delicious. For the meal we ordered the bag containing head off shrimp, crawfish, snow crab legs, sausage, corn on the cob, red potatoes with the cajun sauce and heat level of hot. There were three of us big eaters so I was concerned that it wouldn't be enough food even with the appetizers and beers 2 of us were consuming. My concerns were unfounded as the portions were plentiful as well as flavorful. Thankfully the table top was covered with a sheet of paper because we created a real mess. Everything was very good but I especially enjoyed the sausage and the red potatoes. I find crawfish to be a lot of work for little food so I didn't partake of the crawfish as much as the shrimp, sausage and red potatoes. Something about sea food makes me indulge in too much beer ( not driving ), it might be the memories I have from stays at the lake and visits to the ocean for relaxation. The server was great, even though the patio wasn't set up for dining at the time she set it up for us. The service we received was above and beyond with attention to our needs and a very pleasant demeanor. We left a very generous tip because we left a mess and she had to set up the patio for us. The prices were in line with the quality and quantity of food we enjoyed. The place was a little dark inside for the middle of the day so we chose patio dining. This was the 3rd crab restaurant we experienced while in Phoenix, Arizona. And by far the best one. Was levels above the angry crab and Harbor Cajun Seafood. I did the build your own combo. I ordered half a pound of snow crab legs and a half a pound of crawfish and one lobster tail. The crab cluster was one of the largest clusters that I've had in a restaurant in the last three years. Same thing goes for the lobster tail. It was split into two pieces and each one was larger than a chicken strip from Chick-fil-A. The sauce flavor was really really good. I got the Cajun and garlic butter spicy. There is a very mild, extremely mild, hint of sweetness to the sauce, but very garlicky and very flavorful. I also ordered a Tokyo Tea. The bartender was unfamiliar, but still accommodating to the recipe that I provided. My drink turned out very good. I would definitely recommend going to this place if you're in the area. Also, I was staying in downtown Phoenix. The Lyft ride over there was a very short ride. The menu has market price for the seafood items that they have available and it says per pound however, if you just wanna half a pound they would just take the market price and divide it in half. The only thing that I would say they could improve on would be the Cajun fries. They had a nice spicy kick to them. However, they were low on the salt rating. Also, build your own combos do not come with any potatoes, corn or sausage. Those items are à la cart. Bathrooms were cleans. Small establishment in a plaza but nice. read more
