You start your walk in and the transformation begins into another place entirely. Not simply because your not at home Dorothy but because of the well done everything to help you feel as though your in a soulful part of something special. Despite all this I am usually not going to pick this place due to the fried food. However, a college picked and he was buying so I said I'll make it happen and thankfully so did Pappadeaux. The grilled seafood skewers were incredible each piece was cooked perfectly the Shrimp, Scallops, & Salmon all perfect nothing overdone with just a bit of grill char that adds so much flavor in my opinion. Surprisingly I would be thrilled to come back for those skewers and KD our waitress was awesome! We even were surprised with a birthday dessert a slice of Key Lime Pie.

I made a reservation on the website the same day prior to arriving. I appreciated when walking into the restaurant the staff were very welcoming friendly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance was lively with a lot of seating[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] with the server acknowledging my family right away and giving insight on the menu due to it being our first visit. The food was delicious with generous portions. We ordered the seafood platter which they split for us on request, the kids chicken tender and fries, and lunch portion blackened catfish with red beans and rice. Also as starters the house salad with ranch, crab spinach dip and garlic bread. This was a lot of food and as a party of 4 we had to take food home. They also split the swamp thing cocktail upon request which was so good with the right amount of sweetness. This is a place to try and I cannot wait to go again.

Quick lunch meetup. Service was slow. No bueno if someone needs an efficient weekday spot so they can get back to work quickly. I was visiting from out of town so I didn't care. Food was good. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Decor gives spacious Red Lobster.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Lol. The mixed grill was tasty.

Happy Hour For the win! [[HIGHLIGHT]]This place is huge, fancy and popular.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I love the garden area for photo ops and the fountain.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Indoors the decor is really perfect for a Louisiana Cajun Fish Vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Well played. Here is the best plan. Go during Happy Hour sit at the bar and order ANY of the Happy Hour items for the win! You cannot lose! They are all delicious. My favorite has been the catfish. We had two appetizers and two drinks for 26.00! It was a great value and a perfect amount of food without spending big bucks. There is always super nice people to wait on you and it is fun to talk to new people at the bar. I don't drink alcohol but they have some real fancy drinks that were fun to watch being prepared. Try it out right off the 17 for easy off and back on the freeway.

I live right by this place for years and always pass it and never tried it !!! And I looked it up and it's a literal staple in Arizona state !!! My parents and I went here for dinner and we got mozzarella sticks and a sampler platter cause we wanted to try something different and it was all good !! I got a watermelon dream and tbh off the bat it was odd but it grew on me and was really good !! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The court yard is super cute and ambience of the whole place is great !![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is also very clean for how old / long it's been open![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Truly a great experience !! Server was nice too :) Will of course be back !!

Monday night visit, with reservations. First time dining in at this location. I've have had to-go orders multiple times. The food was good as usual. Our server was good. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant was not too full so the noise level was low to moderate.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] This visit the shrimp gumbo, blackened catfish, and, Mississippi Catfish Opelousas were ordered. The blackened catfish could've been more seasoned. The zero proof drinks were delicious. Overall, it's a 4.5 star restaurant to me.

Alo our server was great! She was so sweet, engaging, and attentive!! This was my 1st time here. The menu was overwhelming because how can you not want everything? [[HIGHLIGHT]]Sitting outside was very nice and private, lovely ambiance for any event as long as the weather permits[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Clean bathrooms and enough mirrors to make anyone wonder why are you in here for so long?![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great size for moms and accessibility needs in a single stall.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Food was really good as well as the drink. I could have had a little more seasoning on my fish but still really good. The shrimp were a very nice size and the grits were nice and creamy in this Cajun combo lunch! Pop in, sit in Alo's section and enjoy a great lunch, dinner, or even a snack! Took some dirty rice to go for the snack!

Overall, the food, service, and atmosphere were all wonderful. The pricing also felt very reasonable for the quality. Definitely a place worth visiting for both small and large parties. I visited because I was searching for a steak place, and only later realized this is actually more of a seafood restaurant. The ribeye turned out truly excellent. The meat was fresh and you could really taste the quality. The steak was cooked well, nicely seared on the outside with a great crust, but not overly charred. We also ordered the seafood pasta and it was absolutely delicious. Both the sauce, chewy octopus legs and fresh seafoods. Although fries took too much of the portion of the fried fish platters and the fish was thin. What made the experience even better was the atmosphere. We had a fairly late reservation, they were still very patient and took great care of us until the end of the evening. They were also giving out bead necklaces as part of a New Orleans tradition on Tuesday, which made the experience feel festive and fun, and we felt very welcomed.

Anytime I come to Arizona, I make sure to carve out time for dinner at Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen. It has easily become one of my favorite spots. Today was especially meaningful for my family as we celebrated my mother's 3-year anniversary of receiving her kidney transplant at the Mayo Clinic. From the moment we sat down, our waiter, Leandrew, welcomed us with such a warm and inviting smile. He immediately began offering recommendations and was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. To say he knew the dishes well would be an understatement -- he could explain every ingredient in detail for anything we asked about. We always start with the Lump Crab & Spinach Dip with crostinis, and as always, it was absolutely to die for. For our entrées, we each ordered the salmon topped with shrimp and lump crab meat, finished with a rich butter sauce and mashed potato purée. Despite how busy the restaurant was, everything came out quickly and tasted absolutely magical. While the food was phenomenal, the service is truly what made this experience unforgettable. Leandrew went above and beyond, and I genuinely hope he receives the recognition he deserves. We'll absolutely be back again. Until next time!

When I say it's been a minute, over 6 years since I've been to any Pappadeaux location. Stop in for lunch today to decompress and get some good food. Hade a peach side variety to start and the catfish ettoffee with Shrimp and dirty rice. Pappadeaux always hit the spot. My bartender was on point provided excellent service and providing a calming atmosphere. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Love sitting at the bar to people watch and listen to the surroundings conversation.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Make sure to come out between 11 AM & 3PM for lunch. You won't be disappointed.

Pappadeaux never disappoints! We went for lunch. I ordered the crawfish and shrimp étouffée and hubby ordered the rainbow trout lunch special. They were delicious! The portions were also very nice. My étouffée definitely had lots of crawfish and shrimp in it. We both had to ask for boxes for our leftovers. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. We ordered a side of Caesar salad. We know their portion was big. So, I told our waitress that we would be sharing the salad. When she brought out our salad, she already split it in two smaller dishes. That made it so much easier for us! We love going to Pappadeaux, especially for lunch. Their lunch specials are definitely worth going for.

    Do they have Happy Hour?

Yes they do. You can go to the website and check the hours or call the restaurant.

They had the best Crab cake " appetizer " For $35. Amazing. Worth every penny. Then they took it…

    Yes. It is

    Do they take reservations?

.Hi, yes they do. You can do so through Google.

Do you have food items for people allergic to seafood?

    Yes

Have they temporarily stopped serving oysters on the half shell?

They serve the oysters after 5:00PM and on Saturday and Sundays. By Sunday they might be all out.

When will banana pudding come back?

You will have to contact them directly. It was blamed on COVID and the halt in distribution of goods. Haven't been there for a few months and we have the lifted mandates so I hope it's back.

    What is price range?

I would plan on $30 per person for lunch, at least $ 50 for dinner. Of course, depends on appetizer, cocktail, dessert!

    What's the dress code like?

    Office casual

    Is their patio dog-friendly?

Would recommend you call the restaurant directly.

Do they offer outdoor seating? Thanks everyone for thoroughly answering my question.

    yes they do.

Do they know how to make an old fashioned? Do they have Guinness on tap?

I honestly don't know but Ido know they have a full bar and would hope they have an excellent bartender to make your drink how you like it!!!

Do they still have music on the patio on Friday nite?

They will start offering live music on Friday's beginning sometime in October. They don't offer live music during the summer months due to the heat. This comes directly from Pappadeaux as I called them to inquire today.

Does it have a Sunday brunch buffet like some of the others?

No I don't believe they offer a brunch

    Is it quiet?

Not really. We try and get a table near the back which does help.

    Is it expensive?

It was all in perspective. As far as good seafood restaurants I think it's on par as others have commented in it is a little bit more than Red Lobster.

Is this good for a Christmas party of 10 to 15 people?

    yes

UPDATE 2026…read more Bluewater is our new favorite seafood restaurant. We went last Wednesday for HH and the bartenders are a fantastic team. They run a very professional bar. The service we received from them was next level. The kitchen did a great job too. I got the fish and chips with walleye. It was flaky goodness paired with crisp and salty fries. I washed it down with a couple smoked old fashoineds. We left with a satisfied smile.

The Spanish octopus was alright. The clam chowder was flavorful and not too salty; definitely made it into the top three clam chowders I've had in the state so far. For our main entrees we ordered the New England lobster roll and the gemelli pasta with shrimp and scallops. The lobster roll was flavorful but felt like it was missing something. The gemelli pasta tasted a bit bland for my taste buds, but the family member I went with really enjoyed it. Since we always have room for dessert, we ordered a crème brulee to share. The crème brulee was nice and not overly sweet. Overall, service was professional, knowledgeable, attentive, and the food arrived in a timely manner. The restaurant itself is quite spacious with nautical décor throughout which gives off a comfortable and relaxing vibe.

Their house blend is the best sauce I've ever had, that alone is what keeps us coming back, I believe it is a Viet style Cajun sauce. We usually get the build your own combo, with crawfish, snow crab, and a few appetizers like french fries, garlic noodles, and onion rings. I believe they have changed management recently, or in the past few years. Although the sauce remains delicious, the food quality seems to be falling, and I see that they have a few food safety violations listed on their Yelp. The garlic noodles were swimming in the watery sauce, and the Cajun fries were not tossed, just sprinkled on top. The restaurant has never been that busy when we go, and there is usually is only one server doing all the hosting, food running, and waitressing. Ours seemed to be a little stressed today, and did not refill our drinks as much as we would've preferred, and forgot things like our salt and pepper. We will probably still keep coming just for that sauce, but looks like the restaurant has a few things to work out to bring back its former glory.

If that is what you're looking for you might find yourself to be a little disappointed. This is not that kind of a joint. (no waiters, no waitresses, no tableside service, but no high prices and ridiculous exorbitant tipping expectations either). At first using the GPS, this place was hard to find until I realize we are not looking for a sit down restaurant...it's a drive up and drive-through restaurant, it's basically made for takeout dining exclusively! Don't let that fool you though because the food at this place slaps! Lol! We had a lobster roll, a Mexican salad (served on a large flour tortilla, as a burrito!) as well as the flatbread and chicken quesadillas. They were all excellent (if you're from the East Coast, you might be disappointed by the lobster roll because it's a local interpretation of what a lobster roll would be like ) and they are among our favorite things to pick up when we want to grab food and take it back home.. The prices are very affordable! In a time when you can't touch a meal for less than somewhere between 15 and $20 this place you can feed your whole family for that even their drinks are inexpensive.
