Green means we're ready to eat!
Jenn N.

We made a reservation and were seated not too long after. (Even though it was Mother's Day weekend and they were fully packed, the wait was not bad...there was space with tables and chairs to wait near the bar.) The salad bar was nice and meat selections were good. (definitely try remembering what you like so you can get seconds or thirds. Some meat were dry, some too salty, while others were so tender and perfectly cooked. We really enjoyed the bacon wrapped steak, filet mignon, parmesan crusted pork, bacon wrapped chicken just to name a few.) Our favorites had to be the sides they brought to the table. (cheese bread, garlic mashed potatoes, caramelized bananas, crispy polenta) Also don't skip out on the grilled pineapple with cinnamon or the grilled cheese with honey served table side. Those were definitely things we asked more for. Eat slow, don't over load on salad bar, ask for more cheese bread and enjoy! Kids: Kids said it was the best dinner! They enjoyed watching servers come to the table and ask if they wanted different cooked meats. Our youngest is a veggie lover and we couldn't believe he kept asking us for more meat! We came because we figured he would be happy with the salad bar but it was a happy surprise for us to see him eat so much. Our kids said they would want to eat here again. That's a win in our book.

I can see the appeal of Fogo de Chao. If you want a large amount of mid quality meat at a relatively affordable price, this is for you. We mostly got beef, lamb, and sausages. The beef is not impressive by any means, which is understandable given the price point. The lamb was too gamey for my taste (I could barely eat it). I also find sausages a bit too salty. The overall vibe is kind of confusing. It feels like they're trying to be upscale, but it doesn't really get there and ends up looking a bit tacky. They also consistently made people wait past their reservation time, which didn't help the experience. 3 stars are for the energetic and efficient servers and the satisfying salad bar. This concept might work for some people, just not for me. I'd rather pay more for a smaller amount of excellent steak any day.

*Dined 4.5.26 (Easter Sunday): I /we REALLY wanted to like this place esp as my Aunt was gifted a gift card but overall we're unimpressed. The salad bar & the Brazilian bread were tasty the salad bar had decent options. It was a holiday & the staff were all frazzled scattering all around & speeding from table to table. All cuts available were a little closer to rare than medium rare & it was almost impossible to find a server w/ the temp of meat you'd like. The meat was bland. I'm okay w/ basic salt & pepper but even w/ me adding them....it did not help. Servers were nice & attentive for as busy & pulled all over the floor as they appeared. Lastly, we had 2 slices of key lime pie & they were the most SOUR/TART slices any of the 6of us ever tasted. We took a pics & videos of us tasting the slices to record our puckered faces. It was funny bonding moment but no, no key lime pie should NOT be that sour. Least the 6 of us didn't think so. Don't plan to return as the price/flavor value didn't match up. It may be easier to just get a full size steak cooked to your ideal and be done with it. I'd give the flavor of the food/experience 2 stars but 3for the staff friendliness given how chaotic as their shift appeared for them.

Went for husband's 50th birthday, we never been anywhere like this before so it was a whole new experience for us and it was well done, would definitely come back for next special occasion! We had a great waitress, all the crews coming by the table with different meat options was excellent! It got a little overwhelming with one coming in after another but couldn't miss an opportunity not knowing when it'll come by again as we lost count after 7 different meat. Loved the salad bar area that you can dish up to go with your meat selection. Next time we will do mac n cheese on menu to go with meat. Their dessert menu was hard to just pick one, so we got two which both was amazing! Place is pretty big in size, as busy as they are that's a good thing, definitely a reservation needed to get in as it's slam packed (rumors are true) This is the place for "meat sweat" so come prepared by being hungry, dress up nice but make sure there's extra room in those pants for your stomach to expand (you'll thank me later!)

Even though it was Valentine's Day, they still did a great job. We had reservations but still had to wait about an hour due to the extremely high volume they were experiencing for the holiday. However, the staff was very pleasant, brought out small samples and water, and tried to make things as painless as possible. It's a pretty small Fogo compared to other locations but had a great atmosphere and layout. With the volume of business, they were doing, there was no way that any of the food could possibly be cold. And it wasn't. All of the cuts of meat that they brought over were delicious, piping hot, seasoned well, and plentiful. It's Fogo de Chao. If you enjoy unlimited meat and Market Table, this is a great place to enjoy it.

Mashed potatoes were fine.

I enjoyed the steak but the chicken was too dry. The bread and sides were nothing special.

I'm not a huge fan of the all-you-can-eat meat options, but I was really impressed by their Market Salad Bar. It offers a fantastic variety of fresh vegetables, proteins, and soups. Some must-tries include the candied bacon, grilled vegetables, hummus, and fresh fruits. We came in at 11:30 when they open, love this spacious and the decor. Service was wonderful--staff were attentive and always ready to meet our needs.

My boyfriend took me here on Valentine's Day! And so did everyone else lol, it was crowded, felt like we were elbow to elbow. Other than that, food was really good. I wasn't a fan of the open salad bar but overall, great experience!

I made a reservation for Fogo on 1/22 for Valentine's Day on 2/14, so glad I did because the restaurant was extremely busy when we arrived and even more busy when we left. I was hoping to get a decent table but we were sat against a wall with a swinging door (that wasn't being used) but still was a bit unstable and the sound from the back dining room carried through it, we were also skipped a LOT by many of the folks carrying around meat skewers. Overall the food was great, I'm not sure we ate $200 worth but I look at it as getting to try several types of meat we wouldn't otherwise have gotten at a regular restaurant. Miguel was our server and he was fantastic, he was quick and efficient with drinks and taking empty plates away. 11/10 no notes! We spent a bit of time people watching in our section, the table turnaround was insane to watch, everyone moved together like a well-oiled machine. We'll be back again someday!

We brought our family here to celebrate my daughter's birthday and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience, especially after spending close to $900 for our table of 10. Even though we had a reservation, we waited over 20 minutes to be seated. After finally sitting down, it took another 15 minutes just to get drinks. We then waited more than 20 minutes with no plates brought to the table, and another 20+ minutes before any meat service started, even though our cards were green the entire time. Out of 10 people at the table, only two of us were able to try a small piece of filet mignon, and the servers never returned to offer it to the rest of the group. Soft drink refills were extremely slow, and at one point the refill didn't arrive until about five minutes after we had already paid and finished dinner. What made the experience more uncomfortable was how often staff came by asking to clear our plates while we were still actively eating. It felt rushed and pressured, as if they were trying to turn the table quickly. The restaurant was very busy, and while we understand that, guests should not feel pushed out , especially at this price point. The table spacing was also very tight, making it difficult to walk to the Market Table or even to the restroom. To make matters worse, this was noted as a birthday celebration and we were told a small cake would be brought out. After paying and waiting another 15 minutes, no cake arrived. As we were about to leave, the server asked if we had received it yet. At that point we just asked to have it boxed to go. For nearly $900, the experience did not feel worth the cost. The service lacked the attentiveness and hospitality we expected, and the overall visit felt more rushed than welcoming. Very disappointing for what was supposed to be a special family celebration.

This place has been in my to-go list for a long time and finally was able to go with my family. For the experience, it is worth it. They do coupons and all often, not that we used it but it would be so good to go with those consideration. If you are a meat lover, then this place if for you. Plenty of good options to eat and they never stop coming to you unless your card is turned red. Go here at least once for the experience. Here are my takes: Food/Drinks: Not the most premium cut but everything taste great. They come and give you some appetizers on your table as well. And the garden table has plenty of option. Its a big buffet and for the price, it is worth it. Cheese buns they give is just resistible. Service: Appreciate the servers attitude here. So many people came to check on if we need anything. Meat servers never stop coming to you place even when you are sitting at corner table. Everyone was so great here. Ambiance: Well that's the only complaint. It was so crowded that it did not feel classy as I expected. Hygiene: Nothing in particular that we felt as extreme but it was not the most cleaned restaurant you would ever be. Price: If you are meat eater then it is not expensive for what you get. But those who have less appetite, you may feel a little expensive. But overall if you can use coupons they sent to your registered email, then these are great. I would not go here every day but wouldn't mind being here on special occasions.

What a weird thing to do... I had an incredible experience 6 months ago and I brought my family here last night and boy o boy... all the meat was well done except their signature picanha which was medium rare but was only offered to us once. We were sitting in the middle and the servers kept going around the outside tables and skipping all the middle tables. We were not the only ones that were experiencing this the tables around us did too. Then we decided to give up trying to get meat and went for dessert which was amazingggg that is the only reason why I can give it 2 stars this time around. After dessert we waiting soooooo long for our server to come back and check us out. We all left the table and only the person that was paying stayed. He stayed for a good while!! We walked around all Walgreens across the parking lot and he was still trying to pay the bill. Overall the first time around amazing 5 stars we really loved it. Last night was too crazy I am not sure if we are coming back. If I come back I'll add another review. I'm literally so sad I loved this place and wanted to love it forever.

Service is very good. It was a nice setting. However, the unique quality of does not seem like what he used to be. But it was still good just not as good as it used to be.

Ask the Community - Fogo de Chão

Is this place a buffet / ayce? I'm seeing separate prices for other things but I'm only interested in the ayce. Does the ayce include desserts & drinks or is that separate?

Yes, it is a buffet-style restaurant; however, certain premium meats are available at an additional cost, separate from what is included in the standard buffet price.

Is there any offer for Birthdays, I really want to take my mom there?

I went here this year actually and there's no like offers or deals for birthdays. The only thing you get is a dessert.

Say, I order churrascarria and If I order a tomahawk steak for the table and I can't finish it and say I order dessert as well, may I take those as leftovers home if I don't finish, since I paid extra for the latter two?

You can take whatever is left on your plates and what you ordered a-la-carte. You cannot get a bunch of meat as part of churrascarria to take home.

Does anyone know what brand of coffee they serve?

The brand of coffee is Geva. This is at the Scottsdale, AZ., restaurant.... I wouldn't know if it's the same with every franchise.

If our group shows up on a Friday at 1:30 PM and their lunch goes until 2PM, are we charged for lunch or dinner?

The time you put ur order in should reflect the lunch schedule.

Are there heaters on the patio? UPDATE: My family and I dined last night (which was chilly) and there were a handful of moveable heaters. The staff turned 2 of them on for us. We also opted for the table closest to the fire which provided warmth too

I did see heaters on the patio when I was there recently

Is the salad bar open?

Yes, and it's amazing!!! A server will go with you and serve you what you want every time to reduce the risk of contamination

Yes, they allowed me to take my leftovers as well as my dessert that i did t get to finish.

What is the difference between lunch and dinner Full Churrasco Experience?

There are more meat options available for dinner when compared to lunch. You can order some cuts a la carte but it will add up. Both are delicious and you will try plenty of meat options

It does not, it's more of stuff you would find on a meat board at a wine bar. Olives, fruits, cheeses and sliced meats.

For apps we got the lamb fondue which was super tender and unique. Dipping meet in cheese? Literally nothing better. Then we also got the green chili pork stew which is a MUST try! Not too spicy and full of flavor. Also, great for sharing as you fill it in the buttery tortillas. The filet was seriously one of the best I've ever had in Arizona. It has a nice shallot butter crust and it was cooked PERFECTLY medium rare. This was a highlight. The pork chop is huge and has a nice sweetness to it. The meat wasn't dry either...it pretty much tasted like the best bacon I've ever had LOL Everyone must get the green chili Mac n cheese. We were running a little late so I had our friends check-in at the hostess stand and they gave my name for our reservation which was confirmed and they were sat at a table. We then arrive a short while later and I approached the hostess and stated that we had a reservation and our friends already arrived, checked-in for our reservation and were seated. The hostess asks what name the reservation was under and I tell her my complete name and she said she doesn't have it. I explained that I have a confirmation email and she waves her tablet at me about 4 feet away so I can't see the details and says "See! I don't have it." I replied, my friends are already here under the reservation so can I just go find them? She replied yes. I don't understand the interaction when my friends clearly checked in already using my name for the reservation. It was a discussion that wasn't necessary and did not give our first visit to the Roaring Fork a good impression. Once we found our friends after searching through the entire restaurant, we found them and sat down. We were immediately approached my our server who was very attentative and gave great service. We were told about a 3-course menu with multiple selections and I decided to get the New York Strip. I enjoyed my cesar salad and then the New York Strip was delivered. It was prepared according to my request, medium, and I checked by cutting right down the middle. I noticed it was a little tough to cut even with the steak knife I provided but the inside looked as expected so I continued on. What I was surprised to find was the amount of gristle on the New York Strip. There is nothing like having to pull food out of your mouth (several times) at a public place because you can't possible chew or consume it. For $80 (salad, New York Strip, sides and desert) I expected better. Unfortunately, my experience leads me to leave a 3 star review.

The Papas Verde had an addicting tang from the tomatillo salsa but were brilliantly balanced out by the chorizo and asadero cheese. The shaved brussel salad could have used a little more date and chile to balance out the vinegar but I was pleased either way. The elote was probably the only thing that fell short execution-wise as I didn't get much of the chorizo flavor, but the cook on the corn itself was perfect. The Gambas al Ajillo are absolutely a must-get. Juicy, sweet shrimp with an unexpected kick from the butter sauce and unsurprisingly great bread from Noble. The Tlayuda was a little heavy on the lettuce, but the smoked pork and bean puree combo were so flavorful that it helped balance out the richness with texture and freshness. I also loved the crispy contrast from the fried tortilla. We ended with the Concha and Mango Sticky Rice ice cream which sounded pretty simple but was quite impressive in its own right. The ice cream was a touch too frozen, but it ended up working out well with the crunchy cornflake coating and lightly warmed, pillowy concha to make a really satisfying ending to our meal. We were lucky enough that it happened to be restaurant week (1 appetizer, 1 entree, & 1 dessert for the price of $55!) I decided to get their infamous original chopped salad, fair trade short ribs, & blueberry pudding cake. My partner opted for the burrata paired with their noble bread, crispy salmon, & midnight brownie. Our favorites were their burrata & crispy salmon, with our not so favorites being the rest. The chopped salad was mediocre at best, nothing worth coming back for. The short ribs were overcooked, making it extremely dry. The blueberry pudding cake was incredibly dense and dry. The brownie was as hard as a rock, making it difficult to pick up a piece without breaking the plate while at it. Overall, my partner and I were quite disappointed with our meals. The only silver lining was that our server, Nicholas, was phenomenal!
