We had a terrible experience at another similar restaurant last Mother's Day, but the experience here was totally different. The GM was present and active, checked on everything personally and we were treated with respect and kindness the whole night. It was a special night for us: both Mother's Day for my partner, and her daughter's 21st birthday. Our server Carmela was a star. It was a busy night, but she made certain we were taken care of. They even put chicken hearts on the fire for us, something my Brazilian partner and her daughters look forward to. The food was of course great, but it was the service that made it special. This is such a better experience than competing restaurants. We will come back here again for special events, because the staff went above and beyond and that means something to me. We came here to celebrate our wedding anniversary. This was actually our second choice because our first restaurant was booked, but we're so glad we ended up here. The service was excellent. Our waitress was very attentive and regularly checked in to make sure we had everything we needed, which we really appreciated. We each ordered the option that included meats, the salad bar, and hot sides for about $51 per person (drinks and dessert were extra). There were plenty of choices and everything we tried was fresh and flavorful. I could easily see myself coming back during lunch and just enjoying the salad bar and sides as a meal. I didn't take many photos because we were enjoying the moment celebrating, but we did share the cinnamon churro with ice cream for dessert and it was a great way to end the meal. While we were there, we also saw a couple of birthday celebrations where the staff came out playing drums and singing, which added a fun, lively atmosphere. Amazing experience at the Rodizio Grill! We love Brazilian steakhouses but have not found a great one since moving to Scottsdale, but this was IT! Excellent and authentic salad bar offerings, and the rodizio meats were so delicious. We loved the Parmesan steak and Parmesan chicken in particular but everything was great. Two visits just enough to put this review to rest. Plus: Location is solid with plenty of parking. Selected hot dishes, including "bread puffs" are available as part of the buffet line. Negatives: Food is salty beyond belief. Rotation of meats going around seems to be the same cut 50% of the time and the balance of the time mixed bag of semi edibles. The sausages were the best part of the protein options, which is a head scratcher when you are paying this $$$ for dinner. Service is a mixed bag and first time was decent, second not so much. Overall: Is it possible to have the meat cooked properly? One side is well done and the other is rare. So at no point are you getting meat served at a requested temp. Some of the meat cuts were not chewable. Again, at this price point need some work. read more

Well I did go back and Jess, Dan, Tony, Jasmine, Ryan, Brandon Emma, Emmanuel and Frank, all took care of us. We not only take advantage of a great salad bar with the hot cheese bread bites but the flavor of the meats were great. We had chicken cooked a couple of different ways. Also pork, I really did enjoy the ribs. I really liked the Parmesan steak and the bacon wrap steak, those are my two favorites But I was super excited to get the grilled pineapple and it succeeded my flavor expectation. Came by on a Saturday evening. Fairly busy, but we were promptly seated. Similar setup to other Brazilian steakhouses. We had a great server who recommended decent drinks to start. Made our way to the self serve area and appreciated how nicely everything was laid out with plenty of options. Once we were ready for the protein fest, we flipped our wooden block over to green to indicate we were hungry! I did notice that options came by more frequently than other similar establishments. As someone who is a Fogo de Chao rewards member, I had never tried Rodizio before. I decided as a celebration for my recent promotion to give them a try. I placed reservations and when I entered I was seated immediately. Our server was very friendly and attentive. The meat guys were quick and made sure you had enough meat before leaving. There were so many more sides than Fogo has. The options were awesome. The pineapple was amazing! Overall, I feel that Fogo is a little more fancier with their white tablecloth service and atmosphere. Rodizio is a little more pricier with more options. Overall, I'm glad I tried it. read more

Rodizio Grill - North Scottsdale: A Disappointing Start I really wanted to like this place. As a fan of Brazilian steakhouses and someone who lives nearby, I was excited to try Rodizio Grill in North Scottsdale during its first week of opening. Unfortunately, the experience left much to be desired as compared to their mesa location. While the food itself was literally either burnt or raw and as for the service and overall atmosphere were disappointing enough that I wouldn't recommend a visit. From the moment we were seated, the experience felt disorganized and impersonal. Our server, while doing her best, seemed under-supported so much so she didn't even know where the other location was as we frequent that one. The biggest letdown, though, was the manager's attitude. When issues with our meal arose, the manager addressed them in the most indifferent way possible. No apology, no warmth, and certainly no sense that customer satisfaction mattered. He seemed more concerned with just getting through the night than with making guests feel welcome , not the kind of first impression you want from a brand-new location. To their credit, they did comp the entire meal, nearly $114 which you can see in the attached receipt. But honestly, that didn't fix the feeling that we were just a number to them. A comped meal doesn't mean much if the overall vibe is cold and disconnected with a night ending at in-n-out. Hopefully they work out the kinks, because right now, Rodizio Grill - North Scottsdale is not living up to the experience its name promises. Saturday evening reservation for Restaurant Week, we were seated just after our arrival. Unfortunately, we were seated just on the other side of a half wall that separates the lobby from the dining area. Making it rather drafty. The server got our drink orders, gave us our drinks, and then we didn't see the server for a good while. We did get the Full Rodizio. The floor near our table was dirty from the time we were seated. Apparently, when it's someone's birthday the staff comes out with a drum and sings. Six people had birthdays during our visit. The piña colada was good, but it does have ice cream in it. So, if you're abstaining from ice cream don't order it. The passion fruit limeade was entirely too sour. By the time the server came by again to actually check on us it had watered down and we didnt even bother to ask for them to make a new one. The meats tasted well overall, they don't ask how you want it cooked, so we received some medium rare, some medium, some well done. The glazed pineapple is good. We frequent Fogo de Chao often, so we were happy that a new Brazilian Steakhouse opened closer to us. We were excited to try it and went in with an open mind. Unfortunately, we were not pleased with our experience. Our waitress took our order, we just ordered waters and the salad bar which was supposed to come with their sides. That was the only and last time we saw our waitress. Our waters were on the table when we got back from our first trip to the salad bar. We never got those sides nor any water refills. We made 2 trips to the salad and our 4 plates were stacked on our small table the whole time and finally a different server took the plates well after we were finished. The table next to us had a different waitress who checked on them numerous times. Again, we only saw our waitress once the entire time. The general manager stopped at our table to ask how everything was and we informed her about our service. The manager was great and took care of us. We only tried the salad bar and to be honest, it was subpar. We will not be returning. read more

It was a great experience. I've been to the Mesa one too, and they're both great. I love that there's a salad bar, because I like a little salad and fruit when I'm about to get the "meat sweats" followed by the subsequent food coma that comes after I get home. I love the CAIPIRINHA! I was just going to have one, then switch to something else, but I ended up having 4 of them! They are very addictive. The service was great, and our server, Ana, was very attentive and took good care of us. There was a little weirdness with the tab, because my GF was paying with trade dollars, and with the tip, tax, and all that, but in all fairness, that was not her fault; the managers had to come in and straighten it out. It was more of a reconciliation thing with the cashier. But we had a good time, and the food and drinks and desserts, and service were all great. I'm sure we'll do it again. read more

Rodizio Grill is hands down one of our favorite places to eat! The food is always amazing and consistently fresh. My kids range in age from one to 18, and somehow every single one of them absolutely loves coming here. Our server Ryan always goes above and beyond, making every visit feel special. Jess, the manager, is incredible. She keeps everything running seamlessly and makes sure guests are taken care of from start to finish. I had a very early reservation which may have factored in the low crowd level and quietness. Prior to dining here, my only prior experience with a "Rodizio" style restaurant was Fogo De Chao, which I believe I've also reviewed. While both Rodizio Grill and Fogo are comparable establishments and both are certainly ones to which I would and will return, if having to choose I would give a modest overall edge to Rodizio. I believe Fogo's salad bar has somewhat more offerings; however, I enjoyed more of the selections at Rodizio. I especially liked the use of coconut in at least two or three of their salad bar offerings including the cole slaw, and the berries-and-coconut item easily qualifies as a dessert in its own right. The meat selection was also very good, especially their "specialty" meat; however, many of the cuts served include the charred outer portion which I did not care for having to cut away. Again this might also have been because of having an early reservation and getting more of the first outer carvings. One area in which I give the edge to Fogo over Rodizio is in the size of the tables. At Rodizio, the table surface areas are very small with only room for a single plate per person at any given time. You're not going to be able to have a salad plate and meat plate in process at the same time. However, to their credit, the server was always extremely quick and responsive to remove dirty plates, so the small table size was not really a major issue. Service was absolutely fantastic. The server was very prompt to remove all dirty dishes, and the meat servers were always readily available when the green symbol was up. I will definitely be back the next time I'm in the mood for Rodizio. read more

Our server was very nice and attentive (constantly refilling our drinks w/o being asked). The "salad buffet" options of the meal is very good. The selections and options are better than Serra but not Fogo. The quality was better than Serra but not as good as Fogo. The different selections of meats were more than Serra and similar to Fogo. All the varieties of steaks are very tasty and well seasoned. There were a few chicken options that were dryer or over-cooked. The glazed pineapple is very yummy. We tried 3 desserts and all are very good. There were a few birthday party celebrations but the noise level was low and easy for conversation. read more

The meats were good, not great. The overall experience was nice, but I'm definitley taking my gf to Fogo De Chao to see how she compares the two experiences. The grilled pineapple was perfect, and the salad bar offered various cheeses and deli meats. It wasn't too dressy, but the service and food were top-notch. I decided to take my family out for Christmas Eve dinner at Rodizio Grill because we have mid-west meat lovers and vegetarians to please. I wanted to take them somewhere delicious and unique. Rodizio certainly fit the bill! The options were limitless and most of the items I tried were really good! The meat standouts for me were the Picanha, Sweet & sassy chicken, Parmesan beef, Ham, and Grilled pineapple. What I loved about the meats is that each slice gets some of the crisp grilled edges and the tender juicy interior. It was really nice to try so many yummy bites! For the side items, the polenta and feijoada were my favorites. The Brazilian vinaigrette was delicious also. I only wish I had more room to try more of the salads next time! I would definitely come back! The only critique I have is that while we were there we never saw the special meats like the New York Strip or Chicken hearts come by. I also never saw the Assado which I was hoping to try. Even without these items, I was surely satisfied and impressed. I absolutely look forward to my next Rodizio experience! I've been to all the Brazilian Steak houses around town now and years ago. I would be considered a true "Foodie" within anyone's definition. Here their salad bar is fair to good. Just enough options to view it as a salad bar: however, some of the flavors I'm accustomed to fall short. The meat selection is good, with an overall meat flavor profile the same with most meat temperatures at medium well to well. The service has always been flawless the 3 times I've been there. Not great compared to others in town, but not too bad. read more

As a Cave Creek resident, I've been waiting for the opening of this Rodizio location, on the Rodizio website I submitted my info for their birthday promotion. What a great deal! Buy one full dinner and receive one free! I made our dinner reservations and noted I was using my birthday certificate which was received by email. At the host stand we were greeted with a Happy Birthday wish and received a birthday card signed by the staff of the restaurant. My son and I ordered the full dinner, my wife ordered the salad bar buffet - I cautioned my son about overloading on the salad bar as it has many tempting offerings, other than a few fresh beet slices which were offered in a tangy, tasty dressing and a few asparagus spears I saved for the many carving offerings. Ana our server was friendly and thorough in explaining the options available, my son ordered a 'mule' drink, two glasses of wine for my wife and me and I asked for a glass of club soda, no lime, instead of water. The parade of grilled offerings was endless; we had to remind ourselves to turn over the wooden block to red to give ourselves time to enjoy the most recent offering. The parmesan steak, the ribeye and chicken thighs were outstanding. I liked the lamb but wish I had a side sauce for it. The grilled pineapple is a standout!. Two gauchos that stood out with their shaved grilled offerings were Jasmine and Angel. I was prewarned that I would be honored with a happy birthday song by all of the servers which was only slightly embarrassing but appreciated and enjoyed. I was served a complimentary flan dessert for my birthday. My only disappointment was in reviewing the bill, I was charged $5.00 for a single glass of club soda, seemed excessive. Other than that, we enjoyed a great dinner, great service and enjoyed the genuine hospitality of the service staff. We will be back soon!
