One of my favorite restaurants in the area. The menu is diverse with lots of good salad options to ribs. The staff are nothing but kind and the food comes out in a reasonable time. This is a good nicer-casual restaurant to go with the family or have a date night. It's dimly lit inside and they have comfortable booths throughout. Was there tonight for 5:00 reservation. Middle of the summer.The four of us ordered cocktails, appetizers, dinners, desserts and after dinner wines. It's corporate food (think American PF Changs) Every item on the menu is prepared better somewhere else (please go to Hillstone for a real French Dip or ribs). Here's the rub - waiters constantly coming by to take away our half eaten appetizers, our half eaten salads, dinners and desserts. We pay. 30% tip. We're industry people. No kidding - at near 7:00, the young manager comes over (I'll call him Skippy) and tells us there is a (2) hour limit and urges us out of our booth. Again, we had a reservation at 5:00. We were in the middle of serious family talk and we were finishing our wines. Skippy comes over and unceremoniously asks us to leave after less than (2) hours there. Never again. read more

Even though the restaurant was busy, the tables were spaced perfectly, creating a sense of privacy and comfort. The noise level was remarkably low, making it feel as though you were receiving your own personalized service. What truly set this experience apart was the staff. Every single person who came to our table was outstanding. The young man who brought our drinks had the biggest, sweetest smile--it was impossible not to notice. Our server, Dan, was everything you could hope for: attentive, professional, and genuinely invested in making our experience memorable. His recommendations were spot-on, and he even surprised me by bringing a chilled martini glass so I could refresh my drink. I've never had a server do that before, and it was such a thoughtful touch. I ordered the ahi tuna starter, and it was generous enough to be a meal on its own. The combination of the fresh tuna and ginger slaw was absolutely incredible--an explosion of flavors that delighted every bite. It was, without question, exceptional. We celebrated 2 birthdays here and they were very accommodating for our group. Every time I come here, my experience gets better and better. We were able to find parking and get seated right away. Glad we made reservations for our party of 7 so don't forget that. For our orders, we had burgers, salads, green beans, margarita and specialty drinks. It came out with a side of caramel and too much chocolate sauce. The chocolate sauce was an overkill. It was very loud in there and both my date and I are soft spoken. Had a reservation on Monday and were seated in a separate indoor room with a fireplace. Unfortunately, the table was extremely warm on the side closest to it... like uncomfortably so, especially considering it was 106 degrees outside. We asked if the fireplace could be turned off, and were told it was "just the pilot light" and that the heat was from outside air coming through. That explanation didn't really make sense, especially if it's an electric fireplace, and it left us wondering why the flue was open in the first place. Our server initially seemed a little annoyed when we brought it up, though he became friendlier as the evening went on. As for the food and drinks: the Gold Margarita tasted a bit cheap for the price. Once it arrived in the taller glass, it was clear the ratio leaned heavily toward mixer and sweetness rather than tequila, gran marnier, and fresh lime juice. It definitely didn't taste like fresh lime as advertised. On the other hand, my husband's espresso martini was absolutely fantastic. The standout dish was the filet special - rubbed in mustard and marinated for over 24 hours. It was excellent. The mashed potatoes were packed with flavor, and the jambalaya rice was tasty as well, though slightly cold. Dessert was an apple pie with the crust wrapped entirely around it, which we enjoyed. The vodka Martina made with Japanese vodka with a gorgeous twist. (Olives optional- opted out for mine). Described as served in chilled glasses and - wait for it- halfway through the meal and the drink- our fabulous server Ellie comes to the table with a second chilled glass and pours my remaining drink into it. Just wow! Personal preference of my brother-in-law was the mule was tasty but could have used more ginger beer. Brother delayed our meal by deciding from the great whiskey options and landed on the Weller flight- was not disappointed! Knowing we would have dessert we opted for no appetizers although the options were varied and tempting. Meals - special was blackened sea bass with coconut sticky rice in a ginger broth. Eyes were closed often by those eating this dish. Blackened salmon (chicken an option) with pumpkin seed pesto and broccoli on a bed of quinoa rice mix. Oh. My. Happy. Mouth! The broccoli had a nice light butter/oil flavor as did the rice mix. The salmon was so flaky and was a generous portion. A brilliant combination for the taste buds. Citrus soy salmon was flaky, soft to the knife, also generous, with a very light but tasteful sauce. Crunchy cucumbers on top created a sensory delight. Side choice was steamed green beans with cashews. Delicious. Chopped chicken salad. Plate full of all the fixings- crisp bacon, eggs, tomatoes. My brother in law asked for 3 sizes of ranch and Ellie delivered with a smile and full plate of ranch. Dessert- how to decide?!?' Not much room but we had to try desserts with the restaurants name. We chose key lime pie and the white chocolate cheesecake. Both were phenomenal! The key lime pie was so light and extra graham cracker crumbs were perfect for scraping the plate with every last bite. White chocolate cheesecake was a taste explosion of all things chocolate and creamy- perhaps less cheesecake tasting with the extras but oh so yummy. This restaurant was outstanding in all respects. First, when you walk in the ambience is elegant in a relaxing, comfortable way. The service is excellent from the moment you walk in and are welcomed. All of the servers were attentive and polite. The food was fresh, beautifully prepared and presented and delicious. I had trout with sugar snap peas and my husband had their special house chicken salad. I normally do not have more than one cocktail but the lemon drop I ordered was so refreshing and the flavors were so well balanced that I just had to have a second one. I usually do not like cold chicken but it was sliced so thinly that it worked. My husband had Filet Mignon Salad and said he wished he would have ordered the salmon instead. Popped in for a quick work lunch and it was great. It's a really nice ambiance inside and everyone from the hostess to server was so friendly! I wanted something light and didn't want leftovers so I grabbed a shrimp cocktail appetizer and one of their special salads which had corn, zucchini, tomatoes, onions, cheese and topped with a vinaigrette. This reminds me of a Cheesecake Factory! Upscale but casual at the same time. A good variety when it comes to many options on the menu and a bar you can have a drink at. I got the cheeseburger and all though it was probably the simplest thing they had on their menu it was really good. We also got the AZ egg rolls which I would give a 10/10 I was not expecting them to have a good amount of cheese, beans and corn in them. The jalapeño crema pairs very nice. The only reason why I'm giving it four stars is because most of their descriptions of the dishes don't sound all that appetizing so that's why I got a burger because I knew it would probably be good. For example, my cousin got the miso glazed salmon, and in the description it didn't sound very good but when she got it, it was actually very tasty especially paired with mashed potatoes. The server was very patient, especially because we asked him to come back multiple times because we had no idea what we wanted. If you do go make sure to make a reservation because it can get really busy, especially after 5 PM. read more

Took my wife and sister-in-law out for Mother's day. I have to say, when i walked in ... it was a mad house. we had a reservation and only had a 10 minute wait. My sister-in-law has gone through a great deal of trauma... and required a walker oi get to the table, easy and seamless~ regardless, we were seated within 10 minutes of our reservation once, seated... you would have never know they were busy. Had dinner with my work team and lucked out with Morgan as our server - she was amazing! Super friendly, really attentive, and kept everything running smoothly. We started with the artichoke dip and Southwestern eggrolls. Both were delicious, but the chips with the dip were a little stale - not a big deal, just something I noticed. For my main dish, I got the steak and shrimp combo with a spicy cream sauce. The steak was cooked perfectly, and the sauce had just the right kick. I picked honey-glazed carrots and steamed broccoli as my sides. The carrots were awesome - sweet and tender, but the broccoli was a little overcooked and didn't have much flavor. Now, the desserts... wow. We shared the white chocolate and raspberry cheesecake and the croissant bread pudding. Both were incredible - probably the best desserts I've had in Arizona. The cheesecake slice was huge (way bigger than Cheesecake Factory's), and the bread pudding had that perfect mix of crispy edges and soft, custardy center. Just so, so good. The atmosphere works whether you're dressed up or keeping it casual, and the prices felt totally fair for the quality and portion sizes. My husband and I recently dined at White Chocolate Grill and overall had a good experience. The salad was fresh, flavorful, and one of the highlights of the meal. Unfortunately, the honey roasted carrots were disappointing. They were extremely mushy and seemed overcooked, lacking the texture and flavor I was expecting. While the rest of the meal was enjoyable, I hope the kitchen pays more attention to the preparation of the side dishes. We come for the homemade salmon dip, unfortunately they sold out by the time we got there. The queso dip was our alternative. The chips were large and warm. The dip ended up being a spicier than expected. Perhaps we got some seeds of the jalapeño. The AZ egg roll were very per usual with a salsa and one "ranch" dip. The burger was really good and cheesy. We have been to White chocolate Grill on several occasions. We enjoy their service service, the food and the ambience. We wanted to bring our out-of-state friends to experience the restaurant. We made same-day reservations in anticipation of dining with white chocolate Grill that evening. There were six of us. Unfortunately, our friends had an unforeseen event which precluded us from being able to make the reservation. We attempted to contact White chocolate Grill via phone and cancel the reservations. It was over six hours before the time of the reservation. The phone was not answered. So we got in the car and drove to White chocolate Grill and informed them that we would not be able to make the reservation. The hostess informed us that we would be charged eight dollars per person for canceling the reservations. There were no other solutions offered. We were charged $48 for the cancelled reservation, despite it being over 6 hours before the reservation. There was plenty of time to mitigate any potential damage by having someone else take the spot. It was a very disheartening experience, and we will consider it when making dining reservations for our next out of state visit by friends. read more

Realized something crazy while writing this review, I had my 1st Turkey Dip from here in June of 2005... that's 20 years ago!!! Man, I've been around for a minute!! Another trip for my memorable sandwich and this time everything was all good. I arrived just in time before the lunch crowd hits (so be mindful of what time you show up). As a party of 1, I opted to sit at the bar & the bartender/server pulling double duty did a great job to keep me hydrated & get me situated with my lunch. The Split Turkey Sandwich is still memorable... only knock was that I got some "sub quality" fries. Crispy, yes, but got a lot of crumb-style fries on my plate. I have to admit, the simply grilled salmon I ordered was quite possibly some of the BEST salmon I have ever had at a restaurant before in my life. Buttery, soft, smooth, flavorful, rich, melted in my mouth, it was pretty dang perfect! The ahi tuna on the other hand was fine, just kind of boring. I guess the champagne dressing I ditched would have "elevated" the flavor a bit. I would totally go back to this restaurant and order two salmon entrees, no joke! It was superb! I really like the White Chocolate Grill. The food is always good and the ambiance is always perfect. The service is impeccable. The side dishes and appetizers tend to be particularly good. The only reason I give it 4 stars and not 5 are the steaks. For the price point of the steaks, I would expect slightly better quality. Ive ordered both the center cut filet and the ribeye with balsamic glaze, in both cases the steaks were no better than a Texas Roadhouse or Outback steak, only $20 more expensive. When you bring a cocktail, NOT A SHOT, to a table and the tiny 4oz glass is less than 1/4 full, with a giant rock ice cube in it, and you expect a Customer to just live with it.... get some training and get real... Came in for lunch today. My husband and I shared a chicken sandwich but we're never provided with an extra plate. I was eating off the table. Our waitress noticed and so did other staff members but nobody thought of bringing an extra plate.
