One of my favorite restaurants in the area. The menu is diverse with lots of good salad options to ribs. The staff are nothing but kind and the food comes out in a reasonable time. This is a good nicer-casual restaurant to go with the family or have a date night. It's dimly lit inside and they have comfortable booths throughout. On our way back from Flagstaff, we had a late-afternoon window and figured we might as well stop by and grab lunch. The best part was that the bar was pretty empty, and we caught 2 NFL games on the screen along with the men's U.S. Open tennis championship. I went with the Turkey Dip sandwich & added lettuce/tomatoes to it along with a Prickly Pear Margarita. We also had the Ribeye sliced Sandwich Dip. To our surprise, it did not come out hot until it was dipped into the sauce, but I felt like it should've been heated up. made it a lukewarm sandwich versus hot... but we think that is the intent. We got just fries with the turkey dip and a field salad with goat cheese for the other. We were pretty hungry, so this was one of the first times. I did not voice my concern about the fries being warm and not straight from the fryer, but the sandwich was on point. I wanted a steak :( So first of all, the three-star review is because my entree. If my entree had been what I wanted it to be, this would be a five-star review. Saturday afternoon, not super busy. The restaurant itself is beautiful, to the point that I wondered if it was part of a big chain. There's obviously a lot of thought put into the building, the menu, and the service model. Great service by Ethan. Group ordered quite a few items, all of which were great. For appetizers, we had AZ egg rolls and grilled artichoke, all of which were enjoyed. I got a manhattan and another member of the group got the mai-tai. Both were very strong and excellent. Entrees were well-received - the french dip, salmon, jambalaya. Lots of compliments from everyone in the group, they all loved their meals and specifically said they were "the best" of any they've had. I ordered the balsamic ribeye. I wanted a steak. But it was sadly not to be. I ordered my ribeye medium rare. The first steak was cooked well done - I had a taste, and it was delicious, but man. I wanted a medium rare steak. So I sent it back. The second steak was practically BLUE. Raw on the inside, yet charred on the outside. Third time's a charm? Not so much. The third steak was also blue inside. I sent it back and had the french dip, which was indeed *excellent.* I had their chilled brussel sprouts & marcona almond salad with it and I loved it. But man, I wanted a steak. Managers presented me with my second and third steaks and were both apologetic for the cooking issues. Ethan was very apologetic, and I cannot say enough good things about him. I mean, my manhattan got a fresh chilled glass midway through the meal, a move I've only seen in truly high-end establishments. The service is there! And the recovery response was great - my meal was comped, as was two desserts ordered. Roughly a quarter of the bill wound up being comped. So the response was appropriate, and a huge part of why I won't write this restaurant off. But it gives me pause that the only item prepared and cooked to order was prepared unsuccessfully three times in a row. Perhaps it was an off day in the kitchen, but ultimately... I wanted a steak. Was there tonight for 5:00 reservation. Middle of the summer.The four of us ordered cocktails, appetizers, dinners, desserts and after dinner wines. It's corporate food (think American PF Changs) Every item on the menu is prepared better somewhere else (please go to Hillstone for a real French Dip or ribs). Here's the rub - waiters constantly coming by to take away our half eaten appetizers, our half eaten salads, dinners and desserts. We pay. 30% tip. We're industry people. No kidding - at near 7:00, the young manager comes over (I'll call him Skippy) and tells us there is a (2) hour limit and urges us out of our booth. Again, we had a reservation at 5:00. We were in the middle of serious family talk and we were finishing our wines. Skippy comes over and unceremoniously asks us to leave after less than (2) hours there. Never again. read more

A lovely lunch yesterday which included a crispy rice ahi addition to the menu which was very tasty. Five crunchy bites with dipping sauce on the plate. Followed by a wonderful shrimp salad which included grape tomatoes and grapes along side a generous shrimp serving. Very fresh crispy lettuce. The croutons were soft and large but in no way spoiled the salad. Finished with a thick crust individual banana pudding. Piled with fresh bananas atop the custard this dessert was pleasantly NOT over sweet. Very enjoyable ( crust a little too thick?) We celebrated 2 birthdays here and they were very accommodating for our group. Every time I come here, my experience gets better and better. We were able to find parking and get seated right away. Glad we made reservations for our party of 7 so don't forget that. For our orders, we had burgers, salads, green beans, margarita and specialty drinks. My burger was cooked to perfection and they even bought out a sweet treat to celebrate my friend's birthdays! It makes for a great time with friends, special moments and family. My husband and I took some friends for their 50th wedding anniversary and unfortunately two out of the four plates. The food was cold. Quick summary with details to follow: Exceptional service, perfectly crafted cocktails from a beautifully curated offering, large whiskey selection with flights, artful food presentation of delicious food. The vodka Martina made with Japanese vodka with a gorgeous twist. (Olives optional- opted out for mine). Just wow! Personal preference of my brother-in-law was the mule was tasty but could have used more ginger beer. The broccoli had a nice light butter/oil flavor as did the rice mix. The salmon was so flaky and was a generous portion. A brilliant combination for the taste buds. Citrus soy salmon was flaky, soft to the knife, also generous, with a very light but tasteful sauce. Crunchy cucumbers on top created a sensory delight. Side choice was steamed green beans with cashews. Delicious. Chopped chicken salad. Plate full of all the fixings- crisp bacon, eggs, tomatoes. My brother in law asked for 3 sizes of ranch and Ellie delivered with a smile and full plate of ranch. Dessert- how to decide?!?' Not much room but we had to try desserts with the restaurants name. We chose key lime pie and the white chocolate cheesecake. Both were phenomenal! The key lime pie was so light and extra graham cracker crumbs were perfect for scraping the plate with every last bite. White chocolate cheesecake was a taste explosion of all things chocolate and creamy- perhaps less cheesecake tasting with the extras but oh so yummy. We had a reservation for 8:30 but when we arrived at 8:10 were seated right away. Every single staff we interacted with showed plate at serving us and talking with us. Friends came in from Miami and were staying across the street. What a lovely restaurant. It really is decorated well and lighting was perfect. I ordered their Famous Chicken Salad (that's the name)and it was perfect. I did take out the raisins and I'm glad I did. It would have been way too sweet. I usually do not like cold chicken but it was sliced so thinly that it worked. My husband had Filet Mignon Salad and said he wished he would have ordered the salmon instead. I ordered the fries as I was curious about "fresh cut" they were very good. We ordered the caramel cheesecake and bread pudding. Went here on a Saturday evening with a reservation. Staff was very kind and attentive despite how busy the place was! We ordered an appetizer and our entrees at the same time. Our entrees came out, but the appetizer never came. We asked them if our appetizer was on its way and they were very apologetic, and even comped the appetizer and our dessert which was very nice. Dined on a Saturday evening with reservations. Servers were manic. Drinks were not good and served like a dive bar would serve them. Food came out fast with my salad. Nothing was hot. Just warm. They even scooted up our desserts. And then it was time to pay. Had a reservation on Monday and were seated in a separate indoor room with a fireplace. Unfortunately, the table was extremely warm on the side closest to it... like uncomfortably so, especially considering it was 106 degrees outside. We asked if the fireplace could be turned off, and were told it was "just the pilot light" and that the heat was from outside air coming through. That explanation didn't really make sense, especially if it's an electric fireplace, and it left us wondering why the flue was open in the first place. Our server initially seemed a little annoyed when we brought it up, though he became friendlier as the evening went on. As for the food and drinks: the Gold Margarita tasted a bit cheap for the price. Once it arrived in the taller glass, it was clear the ratio leaned heavily toward mixer and sweetness rather than tequila, gran marnier, and fresh lime juice. It definitely didn't taste like fresh lime as advertised. On the other hand, my husband's espresso martini was absolutely fantastic. The standout dish was the filet special - rubbed in mustard and marinated for over 24 hours. It was excellent. The mashed potatoes were packed with flavor, and the jambalaya rice was tasty as well, though slightly cold. Dessert was an apple pie with the crust wrapped entirely around it, which we enjoyed. Overall, the meal itself had several highlights, but it was disappointing to make a reservation and end up at a table next to what felt like the entrance to Satan's lair. read more

Our server Tru was excellent. He was very friendly, attentive and always approached us with a smile. We both ordered the Cobb steak salads. Popped in for a quick work lunch and it was great. It's a really nice ambiance inside and everyone from the hostess to server was so friendly! I wanted something light and didn't want leftovers so I grabbed a shrimp cocktail appetizer and one of their special salads which had corn, zucchini, tomatoes, onions, cheese and topped with a vinaigrette. This restaurant was outstanding in all respects. First, when you walk in the ambience is elegant in a relaxing, comfortable way. The service is excellent from the moment you walk in and are welcomed. All of the servers were attentive and polite. The food was fresh, beautifully prepared and presented and delicious. I had trout with sugar snap peas and my husband had their special house chicken salad. I normally do not have more than one cocktail but the lemon drop I ordered was so refreshing and the flavors were so well balanced that I just had to have a second one. This reminds me of a Cheesecake Factory! Upscale but casual at the same time. A good variety when it comes to many options on the menu and a bar you can have a drink at. I got the cheeseburger and all though it was probably the simplest thing they had on their menu it was really good. We also got the AZ egg rolls which I would give a 10/10 I was not expecting them to have a good amount of cheese, beans and corn in them. The jalapeño crema pairs very nice. The only reason why I'm giving it four stars is because most of their descriptions of the dishes don't sound all that appetizing so that's why I got a burger because I knew it would probably be good. For example, my cousin got the miso glazed salmon, and in the description it didn't sound very good but when she got it, it was actually very tasty especially paired with mashed potatoes. The server was very patient, especially because we asked him to come back multiple times because we had no idea what we wanted. If you do go make sure to make a reservation because it can get really busy, especially after 5 PM. read more

Had dinner with my work team and lucked out with Morgan as our server - she was amazing! Super friendly, really attentive, and kept everything running smoothly. We started with the artichoke dip and Southwestern eggrolls. Both were delicious, but the chips with the dip were a little stale - not a big deal, just something I noticed. For my main dish, I got the steak and shrimp combo with a spicy cream sauce. The steak was cooked perfectly, and the sauce had just the right kick. I picked honey-glazed carrots and steamed broccoli as my sides. The carrots were awesome - sweet and tender, but the broccoli was a little overcooked and didn't have much flavor. Now, the desserts... wow. We shared the white chocolate and raspberry cheesecake and the croissant bread pudding. Both were incredible - probably the best desserts I've had in Arizona. The cheesecake slice was huge (way bigger than Cheesecake Factory's), and the bread pudding had that perfect mix of crispy edges and soft, custardy center. Just so, so good. The atmosphere works whether you're dressed up or keeping it casual, and the prices felt totally fair for the quality and portion sizes. My girlfriend and I stopped by here recently after range shooting nearby. The staff were welcoming, friendly and attentive. We come for the homemade salmon dip, unfortunately they sold out by the time we got there. The queso dip was our alternative. The chips were large and warm. The dip ended up being a spicier than expected. Perhaps we got some seeds of the jalapeño. The AZ egg roll were very per usual with a salsa and one "ranch" dip. The burger was really good and cheesy. Big enough to share to leave enough room for dessert. The white chocolate brownie was warm which paired well with the ice cream, whip cream and chocolate chunks. Took my wife and sister-in-law out for Mother's day. I have to say, when i walked in ... it was a mad house. we had a reservation and only had a 10 minute wait. My sister-in-law has gone through a great deal of trauma... and required a walker oi get to the table, easy and seamless~ regardless, we were seated within 10 minutes of our reservation once, seated... you would have never know they were busy. Unfortunately, the honey roasted carrots were disappointing. They were extremely mushy and seemed overcooked, lacking the texture and flavor I was expecting. I have to admit, the simply grilled salmon I ordered was quite possibly some of the BEST salmon I have ever had at a restaurant before in my life. Buttery, soft, smooth, flavorful, rich, melted in my mouth, it was pretty dang perfect! The ahi tuna on the other hand was fine, just kind of boring. The only reason I give it 4 stars and not 5 are the steaks. For the price point of the steaks, I would expect slightly better quality. Ive ordered both the center cut filet and the ribeye with balsamic glaze, in both cases the steaks were no better than a Texas Roadhouse or Outback steak, only $20 more expensive. We have been to White chocolate Grill on several occasions. We enjoy their service service, the food and the ambience. We wanted to bring our out-of-state friends to experience the restaurant. We made same-day reservations in anticipation of dining with white chocolate Grill that evening. There were six of us. Unfortunately, our friends had an unforeseen event which precluded us from being able to make the reservation. We attempted to contact White chocolate Grill via phone and cancel the reservations. It was over six hours before the time of the reservation. The phone was not answered. So we got in the car and drove to White chocolate Grill and informed them that we would not be able to make the reservation. The hostess informed us that we would be charged eight dollars per person for canceling the reservations. There were no other solutions offered. We were charged $48 for the cancelled reservation, despite it being over 6 hours before the reservation. There was plenty of time to mitigate any potential damage by having someone else take the spot. It was a very disheartening experience, and we will consider it when making dining reservations for our next out of state visit by friends. read more
