This is a great smash burger spot! The quality matches the hype and everything is reasonably priced.

Obsessed. Straight up one of the best, new burger places I've had in a while. I usually stick to my fast food chains, and normally don't stray away to try new joints, but I am so glad I did. This place was fantastic. The burger was cooked to order, absolutely delicious. The fries, I gotta say, were probably some of the best fries IN GENERAL. So crispy, full flavor, but soft and hot inside. Perfection. Not only that, the portions are very generous and I appreciate having enough food to the point that I am almost too full. That's how I know it was worth the cost. I gotta shout out the overall vibe: it's fantastic. Something about the red lighting, mixed with some sort of retro aesthetic, makes it almost feel surreal. I love it. Highly recommend if you're looking for a really good burger.

Classic Double with bacon and a side of waffle fries

Don't miss out on the waffle fries! Had a lovely girls lunch out here and we had a very yummy meal! The vibes here are fresh and fun, and I like how straight forward the menu is. The perfect amount of variation/add ons without the overwhelm. We started our meal sitting outside which was nice. And then we shared some ice cream inside so it didn't melt as fast, and the chairs indoors were very comfy and I liked the sky light in the center of the room. The only questionable moment was when I went to the bathroom: it's dark as hell! This opinion may be a sign that I am getting older, but there wasn't enough light in the bathroom (and definitely couldn't see well enough to see if it was clean, which was not ideal). The food: oh boy! This is a really solid smash burger. Very delicious! But the fries were next level good (and the ranch they have is also excellent). Ice cream was also good, but don't feel like I'll get it again if we come back (a little too pricy for soft serve IMHO). The staff here are very attentive and checked on us after ordering (even though it's a quick service). Overall, I'd definitely recommend this spot!

Grilled cheese, wings, burgers

Convinced my husband to try this over our favorite spot, Otro. He ended up mad at me. The wings were not good. I should have taken a pic - they didn't look cooked all the way once we bit into them. The ranch was good though.. The burgers were just okay. My husband said not even a quarter as good as five guys. He was quite annoyed by the mediocre meal. Almost 70.00 of ehhhh... My daughter enjoyed the grilled cheese. Service was good - the place is clean - Maybe it was an off day..

Staple smashburger restaurant for late night bites with friends. Stopped by for the first time on a Friday night after grabbing a few drinks with friends that evening. There was a huge parking lot out back. The interior had great vibes with red low-lighting, decor, and white tiling. You order food with the cashier out front, but you can also go straight to seat yourself at the bar with its own Bad Jimmy's drink menu. The burgers had the ideal patty to bun and other toppings ratio. The patty was greasy and flavorful. We forgot to try the fries. Overall, really enjoyed the vibes and burgers. Looking forward to also trying the fries and cocktails.

Double burger with both grilled and raw onions - 3/5
Cyril N.

Food: 3 stars - Ordered their double smash burger and added raw onions. It's pretty basic to be honest. For a $12 double burger, I was left unsatisfied, wanting more and I'm smaller than average size male in America (5'3" 140lbs). I would definitely get a triple patty next time. Don't get me wrong, it was a tasty burger; just not enough burger at that price point. The quality of ingredients are there - quality beef, fresh ingredients, soft potato buns, but the one little slice of American cheese and super thin patties felt underwhelming. There are also very limited options for add-ons; no option for fried egg, no other cheese option while adding bacon is +$3 and extra sauce or side of ranch or chopped chilis is +$2. Quite exorbitant for a classic smash burger in my opinion. I also tried their dry rub wings and they were okay. I believe it was a Tennessee style dry rub which was not bad but nothing to rave about from a burger joint. Their house ranch was on the watery side but the flavor was there. I will say, their cris cut fries are the bomb! Love the season, the crispness on the outside and fluffiness on the inside. If I'm coming back, it's because of their fries and to add an extra patty to their double. Service: 5 stars - Stood in line trying to figure out what to order and a manager walked up to hand us their paper menu with descriptions as the menu above the register was minimal without any details. That was nice. Also, the wife ordered the classic double without mustard but came out with mustard and no onions, so she had to return and they made a new one for her. They also offered a complimentary drink from the bar as to make up for their mistake. So the wife ordered their Bad Jimmy's 8 Ball off the tap because she knows I like to try unique/local craft beers. It was a pale ale and was light and crisp. Appreciate going above and beyond for a simple mistake but that's what makes an ordinary dining experience special - stellar service. Not to mention, food came out decently fast for a party of seven. Ambiance: 5 stars - from the outside, it looks disenchanting but completely transformed on the inside. It has sort of a retro diner vibe with a modern twist. I really dig the skylight in the middle of their dining space with fresh greenery - very nice touch. However, it was a bit difficult to find seating for a large party. Most seating options were for 1-4 people. Only one large booth area that could accommodate for 6-8 people. Just FYI if you're taking the whole gang during a busy dinner rush. Overall 4-stars: It's a good spot for your classic smash burger but nothing extraordinary in my opinion. Would try again and would recommend for people who don't mind paying top dollar for a simple smash burger.

First time here. It's been so many places and I've been to them all. It's a great space. It's an order at the counter place. Then they will bring it to you. Menu js short and sweet. We had 2 classics and fries and drinks. Oh and a pup patty. ( disappointed in that) But the burgers were very good. Moist and delicious. Fries.... Outstanding. We didn't do any alcohol.. but their us a full bar. Next time. Wish them well in this space. It's a hard spot to get noticed!

Well if you like assembly line food and a place where everyone is eating the same thing, ,Jimmy has you covered. About 40 burgers being cooked at once...its like your at a wedding. But with no choices. As for the burger, just like everyone else's with potato bun, secret sauce, pickles. Nothing special, but low overhead costs for Jimmy and easy greasy money.

Came here after a round of golf with some friends for a burger and fries. Great atmosphere and good tasty food. Overall good time and although it's on the pricier side I understand because of the nice atmosphere. I would definitely try the wings next time as they looked great!

Pretty tasty, nothing great - definitely over-hyped. Trying to think what else to day to hit the 85 word minimum...

Stopped in for a burger and fries on a Sunday night around 6. Small little place with an old school feel to it People inside are friendly, and the food was brought out quick. The burgers are smash burger style which were really good. The fires are seasoned well and amazing. They also have a little bar area to watch tv and have a beer or drink with your burger.

I had heard so much about this place that we decided to grab lunch here. The decor this place is kind of cool. It's kind of a retro diner vibe with glass bricks, red vinyl booths, and some neon. There is a bar, and it looks like a pretty good bar. We didn't order any alcohol today. The menu is relatively small. I wasn't very hungry so I just ordered the Little Jim, a burger with just cheese at secret sauce. I'm weird about sauces so I ordered without the secret sauce. Son got the classic double, and we ordered an order of fries to share. So glad we only ordered one because the order a fries is pretty big. The fries were absolute perfection - - seasoned waffle fries with the perfect seasoning. The burgers were good. Maybe not as absolutely amazing as I had heard, but they were good. These are Smash burgers, so if you're looking for a big juicy burger this isn't the place. If you're looking for a smashburger these are the smashiest.

I used a restaurant delivery service called DoorDash. The experience I had on Thursday was terrible. Ordered food waited for it to come. I literally was one business over from bad Jimmy's. My day was chaotic. Didn't have time to run and go get my burger, so this is where DoorDash left it. I'm not even sure the bad Jimmy's even knows if they are using DoorDash they need to rethink it. No one would ever eat anything that was left in front of a car, at 90° in Arizona and that was not my car ! They didn't even know what I drove but my food was left on the ground for me to go outside and pick up, never found it. They did refund my money through DoorDash. I love bad Jimmy's, but they need to rethink who they're using as their delivery service the worst ever.!!!

The second one tasted "clean" or like it was supposed to taste. The Burger & Fish Tacos were full of flavor & freshness! I loved their fries b/c crispy on outside & soft on the outside. Missing their Guac & Chips Starter that was on former menu tho. We gotta commend the F&B Manager here! He overheard us talking to the waiter about the differences in the Charred Beet Salads & told us why: one was on the grill too long & he only knew that b/c he was in the kitchen watching them make it. He appreciated us sharing about the nuanced difference in how salads tasted & comped one. Wow - this is really going above & beyond: caring enough to have a convo w/ diners, acknowledging their palates detecting the difference AND making it right, b/c as he said "both should taste the same, like the second one." A commitment to excellence and consistency is a rarity. Overall, Lylo Swim Club outdoor bar/restaurant is a little oasis tucked away amongst so much greenery and beauty! The soothing decor and soft lighting created a cozy atmosphere, making it an ideal spot for a delightful meal, especially on an unseasonably hot day. We began our culinary journey with the Larb Mushroom appetizer, and it was nothing short of spectacular. The dish featured succulent oyster mushrooms tossed with roasted rice powder, fresh mint, shallots, cilantro, and a vibrant chili-lime dressing. Each bite was a refreshing explosion of flavors, combining the earthy richness of the mushrooms with the zesty brightness of the dressing. It was light, refreshing, and a perfect precursor to the meal ahead. For her main dish, my wife chose the Pad Z U, an outstanding selection that showcased sautéed broad noodles, crispy fried tofu, and Chinese broccoli, all enveloped in a delectable sweet soy sauce. The noodles were soft and chewy, creating a delightful texture that harmonized beautifully with the vegetable medley and tofu. The heat in the dish was skillfully balanced, providing just enough kick without overwhelming the palate. My wife couldn't stop raving about it! I opted for the Kua Kling, and it truly was a star of the evening. This spicy stir-fried minced chicken was enriched with fragrant curry paste, lemongrass, and kaffir lime leaves, resulting in an aromatic dish that was accompanied by tender long string beans and the unique Sadtor beans. The flavor profile was complex and enticing, with each ingredient complementing the others in a delightful dance of spice and freshness. It was a dish that not only warmed my belly but also left me craving more. What elevated our experience even further was the attentiveness of our server. With a genuine smile and a welcoming demeanor, they offered excellent recommendations and ensured that we were well taken care of throughout our meal. Their knowledge of the menu added to our enjoyment, making the dining experience even more memorable. Overall, LeDu Thai is a culinary treasure that I cannot recommend highly enough. Each dish was exceptional, bursting with flavor and crafted with care. The combination of delicious food, attentive service, and a cozy ambiance makes it a must-visit for anyone seeking an unforgettable Thai dining experience. We can't wait to return and explore more of what their menu has to offer!

GOOD! inspired by taco bell's baja blast hahahah). they TREATED us to all three of their current desserts on the menu. it was the most pleasant surprise i could've imagined. my favorite was the flourless chocolate cake! it was like a thick, rich brownie, had passion fruit cream to "lighten it up" and a caramel-like taffy on the bottom my brother and sister-in-law both said their favorite was the gulab jamun (which is basically like little fried dough balls/donuts, influenced by indian flavors and spices). the mille-feuille was also fantastic - the pastry was light and airy, cream wasn't too sweet and also very light, shaved cheese on top made it have a savory bite, and the jam alongside it was strawberry rhubarb. service is always amazing, friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable; it seems like everybody working here truly enjoys it. quite literally already have a reservation booked at valentine and will be coming back here beforehand. update: came back for more drinks (fernet & coke, spaghett western, negroni) and their lamb flauta. all AMAZING! and amazing order to whet the appetite before dinner at valentine.

We arrived without a reservation and were told the wait would be about 25 minutes, which was totally reasonable. We waited the full time and checked in once, only to find the wait continuing to extend while several outdoor tables sat open. When we politely asked about our table, the host (a woman with glasses) responded with a noticeably rude and dismissive attitude. At one point, she muttered under her breath something along the lines of, "If you guys are so anxious... you can head over there," which multiple people in our group heard. It felt completely unnecessary and unprofessional. We were eventually seated at a table that was partially in direct sun, and when we asked about moving to one of the shaded tables, we were told they were unavailable and "reserved". However, those tables remained empty for over 30 minutes, which was frustrating given the situation. To be fair, there was another older woman on staff who was warm, attentive, and fantastic, and the food itself continues to be a highlight. The menu is creative, thoughtful, and one of the reasons we've come back multiple times. That said, this isn't the first time we've experienced service issues here, and it often feels like the restaurant is understaffed, which may be contributing to the inconsistency. I really want to love this place and continue recommending it, but experiences like this make it hard. Great food can only carry things so far when the hospitality side feels off. It's one thing to occasionally be understaffed (I understand people call off in this business) but there's a consistency here which points towards management issues and then on top of it, when your hostess is unnecessarily rude, that's a real bummer. For quite a few months, I had it on my list to visit. I finally made things happen on a Wednesday evening for a drink. Located on the roof (of course) of a boutique hotel, I find free parking in the hotel's parking lot. While it was a busy parking lot, I was able to find a spot. Unfortunately, my night consisted of a comedy of errors. Ambiance (3/5): When you think best rooftop in the state, you're thinking scenic and peaceful views. Don Woods' certainly has that, though I've seen better in Phoenix. You can see the mountains in the background, but that's about it. The hotel is located on a busy street, where you'll often hear the noise of cars buzzing by or the train choo-chooing. Did I just make up a word?! I imagine the best time to stop by is during sunset. The outdoor area is relatively narrow with seating for about 20-30 people. It's a mix of comfortable seats and tables/chairs. There's also a charming indoor area, where the bar is located, but I felt like I had to sit outside. The weather was perfect, too. Service (2.5/5): This is where the comedy of errors began. I was given a menu and some water and was left to peruse the menu. Before the waitress had returned, I had picked out an appetizer and a cocktail. I then discovered that their cook had quit the other week and as a result, no food was available. That's fine and all, but you've gotta give me a heads-up when giving me the menu. That way, I wouldn't have spent the time to look over the food menu and get my heart set on a particular dish. On a better note, they have free WiFi. And service was overall friendly and pretty efficient. Food (N/A): While I was unable to order some food, on most nights, they have a small menu of small plates. More of a snack type of spot then a full meal type of establishment. Drinks (3/5): Don Woods is know for its cocktails and they have a list of 10 or so craft cocktails. Plus, beer, wine, and the typical options that you would find when there's a full bar. I feel like the bartender messed up the proportions on my cocktail as it was a bit rough. One drink and I was out. It seems like Don Woods' is experiencing some turnover which is leading to some mishaps. Combine that with some high expectations given the accolades they won, and it was the recipe for a disaster. I love a good rooftop bar, so I was hoping for more at Don Woods' Say When. Even the lobby of the hotel was experiencing issues. They sell popsicles in the lobby but the guy temporarily manning the front desk didn't know how to get their Square device working. Which ended up meaning no appetizers for me at Don Woods and no popsicles from the lobby. Two strikes. We live to fight another day.
