Hopdaddy had great shareable fries. Nashville sandwich was a 4.5/5. Original burger meat was dry 3/5. Great selection of buzzy drinks and beer .

The Classic but 100% grass fed patty substitute
    Gayl B.

I had the classic but substituted the 100% grass fed patty. We did have it delivered, and when I opened my container, it smelled a little gamey. However, it didn't taste gamey so that's good. I grew up with on a farm that had grass fed pasture cows, so I was a tad worried about the smell, but it was fine. I did miss pickles in this burger but the rest of the ingredients were good, and I really liked the soft egg bun! Next time, I think I'll try the bison with the cherry fig jam which sounds interesting!

Don't remember the name of the burger but it was the one with bacon jam! Yum!

First time at Hopdoddy and impressed! Order like fast food and they deliver to the table. The large fries were plenty for our group of four. Burgers were moist and delicious! We all devoured them. The service was adequate, not stellar. Although the gentleman who brought our drinks was great! We'll be back because there are more burgers on the menu that we want to try.

How you go about ordering is confusing. Besides myself I saw other first timers confused as to the process. This needs to be rethought. If it's fast casual place, put the menu on the menu board above cashier area. I had the classic with bacon and cheese. Good burger, nice size and good flavor. Fries were average, I think it was the lack of flavor. Tables need to be cleaned regularly, I was placed at a table that needed to be wiped off. At time of payment it asks for upfront tip, I find this annoying as I've not received anything at that point. I'd come again since the burgers are good. Definitely has opportunities to improve customer experience.

Ordered two burgers, two mini shakes, and Parmesan fries to-go. The shakes were absolutely incredible. The flavors I tried were the tres leches and the brownie one. The mini size is so perfect for trying the shakes and flavors out and if you are having a bunch of other food. The burgers were absolutely massive and we probably could have spilt one between two people. Very high quality ingredients and the burgers were perfectly cooked. The fries were the perfect size and cooked wonderfully. I tried a bunch of the dipping sauces and they were all good. Highly recommend if you are in the mood for a burger.

We somehow hadn't been here yet, so we went in cautiously optimistic, which was a mistake, as it turns out. We kicked things off with the Holiday Sour, which sounded great on paper: Brother's Bond Bourbon, Disaronno, black cherry purée. What showed up was... pleasant juice. If there was alcohol in that glass, it was merely a suggestion. Festive? Sure. Sour? Barely. Spirited? Absolutely not. The green chili queso fries arrived next and briefly convinced us the night might be salvageable. Shoestring fries, nicely salted, and a queso that's clearly made in-house and actually knows what it's doing. Easily the best thing we ate. The fries could've used another 30-45 seconds in the fryer, but the queso was working overtime and nearly carried the entire meal on its back. Then came the Double Bacon Jam Burger, and any remaining optimism quietly left the building. Two ¼ lb patties, American cheese, mustard-grilled onions, pickles, mayo, and a tomato "bacon jam" that had apparently never met bacon. It was all tomato, zero smoke, zero depth, more marinara-adjacent than bacon jam. The patty was cooked fine but had strong frozen-puck energy, and there's no option to choose the cook temp, which explains why everything felt aggressively average. Service didn't help. This is order-at-the-counter fast-casual, which is fine in theory, but not what we were expecting. Everything came out immediately. Fries hit the table in under a minute, drinks followed seconds later, and the burger arrived before we'd even processed the fries. It felt rushed and impersonal, like we were on a timer. By the time we tried to juggle everything, our food was already going cold which somehow matched the overall vibe. Bottom line: not the worst burger I've ever had, but that's a very low bar. In a town full of genuinely good burgers, this one barely competes. Plenty of better options nearby, and we'll be going back to those.

You order your food and drinks inside, and they assign you a table either inside or outside, although they told us we could just choose one outside, and they bring everything to you Some of the outside tables are considerably wider than your standard picnic table, so it makes you feel more distant from your partner, and makes it a bit of a challenge to reach the fries if they are in the middle to share; I just ended up putting some on my tray, and pouring some queso over them Right off the bat, we got our fries before we got our drinks, less than 2 minutes after sitting down, we got our burger before we barely got into the fries or drinks, so it kind of makes you feel rushed, and also makes the food get cold very quickly Texas Sling Tito's Handmade Vodka, Italicus Liqueur, Lime & Pineapple Not long on flavor, easy on the vodka, tasty for sure, but not notable Green Chile Queso Fries Creamy, cheesy, lots of diced green chili, brings a little heat, definitely tastes housemade, not from a can; the fries are not quite shoestring small, but they are a thinner cut than standard, the fact we sat outside probably made them get colder quicker but they were still good Double Bacon Jam Burger Two 1/4 on beef patties, white and yellow American cheeses, tomato bacon, jam, mustard, grilled onions, pickles & mayo The burger patties were cooked well, good seasoning, though they do seem like Sysco, nice bun which does hold up, the jam is more tomato than bacon I think a single 1/2 lb patty would be better than two stacked quarter pound patties I would not consider this a restaurant experience, it's more akin to fast food, or a badly run burger stand For being a burger bar the burger was not anything to write home about, and I feel like it should be the star of the show, if anything the queso was the star They are completely cashless, so keep that in mind if you come, and keep in mind you will be asked for gratuity when you pay for your food and drinks, with no way to gauge what level of service you're about to receive (I would not have tipped as well) It is not the worst restaurant experience I've ever had, it's not even the worst burger bar experience I've ever had, but I don't think I would recommend this place to anyone, and I definitely will not be returning

I don't think I'd ever been to a Hopdoddy before, but I was in the area and decided to try it tonight with my sister for a quick eat. I got traditional fries, which were pretty standard, but the burger was good. Usually I think burgers are heavy, but this one was strangely pretty light, so much so that I probably could've downed another one even though I wasn't hungry. I think it was mostly because the bun was like a softer brioche type of bread. I had also cut the burger in half and it didn't fall apart, so it was pretty sturdy. Couldn't tell if it was juicy or oily, maybe both, but regardless it was yum! Had to order at the cashier and from there we were assigned a place to sit, where they later brought the food out. Dim lights, football playing on the TV, some Christmas music playing, good chatter -- solid experience and dinner

I have found delicious burgers at different restaurants around the Phoenix area. One of those special restaurants which has a lot more than burgers is Hopdoddy (though it is called a burger bar). Hopdoddy offers burgers, sharable fries, fried chicken, loaded brussels, boozy drinks, beer, wine, salads, kids meals, shakes, and non-alcoholic drinks. My favorite are the burgers, fries, and shakes (all classics). I prefer the Classic Burger, Parmesan Truffle Fries, and a Chocolate Shake (just in case you want to surprise me with something from Hopdoddy). All of the items I've ever ordered from Hopdoddy are tasty and delicious! Today, I just ordered a milkshake on the app, which was ready when I arrived minutes later (in the middle of the work day). The Phoenix location in Arizona is one of many locations among eight states. There is a large indoor area with a big bar with many seats and then plenty of indoor tables with chairs along with an outdoor seating area. When you walk into the restaurant, keep walking straight and curve to the left for the ordering counter. You'll pass the bar along the way. The line is designed so that it goes very quickly usually though if there are a lot of orders ahead of you, it does take a bit longer for orders to come out. Feel free to order dishes in advance on the app, and then they may be ready when you arrive. Just look for the To Go area near the register. If you are using a reward, make sure to redeem it and gather the number displayed on your phone and show that to the cashier (though wait until you are at the register to redeem it). Regular hours are Sunday through Thursday 11 AM to 10 PM, Friday and Saturday 11 AM to 11 PM. Happy Hour is Monday through Thursday from 3-6 PM. There are 1/2 of cocktails, beer, wine, and sliders during Happy Hour. I'd also recommend joining the Daddy Rewards program at https://www.hopdoddy.com/loyalty and also download the app. There are three levels of rewards: Level 1: Headliner (The Sometimer), Level 2: Rockstar (The Regular), and Level 3: Legend (The Ultimate Doddy Fan). You earn points with each purchase (though they expire after a year), and get a free birthday reward (I believe, a shake). You also receive random rewards from fries, toppings for a burger, and mini shakes during the year. This past holiday season, there was even a Pac Man game in the app which could score you extra points or freebies. By simply being a member, you win!

Stopped in Tuesday night. We are first timers and honestly didn't know what to expect. Greeted by the bartender so enthusiastically!! She must have realized we were newbies! We were told that full service at the bar and if not we could order at counter and sit anywhere afterwards. We chose the bar! Great choices of beer and then we ordered our burgers and fries!! Guinevere was fabulous!! Noticed that she said hello to every single person walking through the door! The Burgers were incredible. Ordered small fries ( next time large... they were awesome) Ordered the classic and husband ordered Goodnight/Good cause . Liked that you can order pink or no pink. Watched the milk shakes being made.... We didn't cave in.. but maybe next time. One of the best burgers I've ever had.

When I walked in I was confused on what to do, how to sit and order. It looked like a restaurant you are served but it's not. Though they do have a bar you can sit at and be served. I ordered a double bacon jam burger and it was good. I am on an animal based diet so I didn't get the bun. I liked that they offer a regular beef patty option and a natural option from a regenerative farm. Food came out quick and hot. The bartender was on top of my water refills. The restaurant felt crowded but overall a good spot to be. Prices are good and burgers are served al a carte. So if want fries you order a side separately.

    Thunderbird Chicken Burger

Came here for a casual first date, and this was a perfect spot for it. The restaurant is counter-order, with food brought to your table afterwards. I will admit, I checked out the menu beforehand and still couldn't decide what I wanted to eat. Of the options that sounded the best ( Magic Shroom, Double Bacon Jam, Thunderbird), I ended up going with the Thunderbird. The Thunderbird was absolutely delicious, but the bacon was the true star. It added such a nice saltiness, and was perfectly crisp. I got a side of fries and a Diet Coke to round this entire meal out. The fries were good, nicely seasoned, and so fresh tasting. The food aside, the service was friendly and quick. The only thing that does not give this experience 5 stars, is the pricing. These burgers are good, but priced a bit on the higher range, and with no sides/drinks to accompany it. Everything is separate, which unfortunately makes for a pricier bill.

A tiny portion of cold fry nubs.

Reading the other reviews, I'm beginning to wonder if I ate at the same restaurant. I paid around 11 bucks for these fries, and it has literally turned me into a Yelper. I can't be the only one who feels ripped off.

Excellent service, a Christmas tree upstairs, and no reservations required. Glad they were able to seat us considering we showed up without reservations. Downstairs gets quickly reserved so seats upstairs are where they push overflow patrons. Right outside Flint's doors downstairs there is a staircase which opens up to the upstairs dining area. Service was prompt, and we got our drinks by the time we had our mains decided. I got a glass of red to pair with my steak. My partner had a refreshing cocktail, but it was decent. The highlights of the night were the food. SO MUCH FOOD! And it was TERRIFIC! For starters we got the artichoke hummus. It sounded a bit weird, but all it was was regular hummus with 4 artichoke hearts that were crispy. The artichoke hearts were crisp, but moist, and I could have kept eating those all day. It comes with 1 pita bread. The server told us to order another and we did, turns out we needed it as the pita breads were quite small ($3 +). Sure only 3 bucks, but nickel and dime if you are spending $14 on an app... For mains I got the filet medium rare with a side of regular potatoes. My partner got the salmon skewer with a side of asparagus. Both the dishes were cooked perfectly and they were familiar dishes with a slightly exotic touch to it. Must be the middle eastern part of the restaurant. The steak came with a ganache or accompaniments of middle eastern sides. Can't recall what they were but they were great when I dipped my potatoes in them. It was sour, tart, acidic, kind of like middle eastern soy sauce. The server recommended it to us and we got it. The salmon skewer came with 5 decent sized pieces on it. Great for a small eater or someone who doesn't want their own meal. It too was delicious and had light touches of sauce or smoke on it. The asparagus is a favorite. It was cooked as usual, typical steak side and both me and my partner enjoyed it! For dessert, as it was my partners birthday the server comped the pound cake. While it was delicious, it was definitely the letdown of the meal. It was way too sweet including the layer of cream that it was doused with. The sweat cream wasn't necessary as the pound cake was incredibly sweet itself. Also, the pound cake wasn't soft like normal cake. It was quite dry once you peeled away the creme layer up top. I definitely should have gone with the Chocolate Ganache Tart. But their mess up worked in their favor. I'm definitely coming back for another meal at Flint!
