Been wanting to try out BAFANG DUMPLING since I found out they opened one here in Arcadia. It was taking me so long to visit them that another branch opened near me in the Valley and I still haven't tried out their dumplings. Finally got the opportunity this weekend and it was totally worth it. Very affordable, large portions. Got their DUMPLINGS. They have a sauce table as opposed to a condiment table and man, they were perfect with the dumplings. SOOOOOO GOOOOOD! There was practically no line to order. The line to wait for our food took longer than ordering. The PORK CHOP is tender and delicious. The NOODLES are also very very good. The texture is great and the broth is delicious. I was happy to see a Bafang in the mall but when I went in I was a little disappointed. To be fair, I haven't been to one in a while so I'm not 100% sure if it's just this store or all stores made this change but they didn't have any drinks other than soft drinks and lemon tea (no soy milk which is my go to). They also didn't have any of the side dishes for sale which I always get. The pork chop rice was a great deal for $10 though and right now it comes with a free soft drink. I got a combo 3 (signature dumplings & signature pot stickers) with hot & sour soup, and also a pork chop with braised pork belly rice bowl. Total was $27 and enough to feed 2. Food took a little whole to come out, maybe 15 mins. The dumplings weren't that great, the wrap was too thick imo. Pot stickers were great, probably my favorite item! Hot & sour soup was good. The pork chop bowl was decent. The pork chop was very thin slices and not very crispy, but the bowl was overall a good size for $10. In total I enjoyed my meal and would come back again. Some pretty nice dumplings served in a fast food manner. Their menu is short with various combos which are good value. The potstickers and dumplings have 3 flavors: pork, chicken, and veggie. We went here kind of by accident. We were headed to the mall and knew we were too late for Ramen Nagi. But we noticed Bafang Dumpling right next to the JC Penny entrance. We checked the menu and it looked good. We ordered the beef noodle soup, and the number 3&4 combos. The Taiwanese beef noodle soup was quite large and looked and tasted very good. Kinda like a beef stew noodle. Very satisfying. I got the number 4 combo: the signature noodle and 6 signature dumplings. The noodles were tasty and slightly spicy and I tasted just a bit of numbing spice. (Szechuan peppercorn perhaps?) Anyway, very good. And the signature dumplings were excellent. Especially with the variety of dipping sauces you can help yourself to. Black vinegar, soy sauce, sesame oil, chili sauce and garlic sauce. All great for dipping and adding to your dish. My son got the combo 3 which was pot stickers, signature dumplings and choice of soup (hot and sour or corn chowder). He chose the hot and sour and it was very good. Hot and full of chicken and tofu etc. service was friendly and helpful. And since it was opening weekend, we got a free insulated tote bag and some stickers. We will be back again someday soon. So this place is located at the Santa Anita (Arcadia) mall. Weekday parking is very good during the day near the JC Penny and Nordstrom lot. The space is simple, clean and you order at the counter. Service so far has been excellent and the food appears relatively quickly. It appears to be made to order since it comes out piping hot which is great! So out of the 3 times I've been here so far, the experience has overall been pretty good. They serve Taiwanese quick service meals. Bafang is from Taiwan where they serve worker's lunchtimes and students usually with misc quick eats and cheap prices. This location adheres to that ethos adjusted for our market but frankly the ones they opened in LA are just far fancier in direct comparison to the ones in Taiwan. The food here is relatively well made. Everything tastes good enough. It's meant to be a decent meal but not meant to impress. Pricing per person is between $10-$20 which in 2025 is about right for your fast casual chain restaurant pricing. They get a lot right here in translation. This is a solid 4 star place I would happily come back to. If they can maintain the quality here long term, which is to be seen and possibly add some more menu items, then perhaps in the future there is another star to be added. read more

I read through some reviews before posting this, and it's funny to see people refer to it as fast food because they are anything but fast. Came here with my kids and ordered two #1 combos. It literally took 25 minutes for our order to come out. I honestly don't know if it's the kitchen that's super slow, but given similar slowness in their TC location, I think the owners are being way too cheap in staffing these restaurants properly. The guy who works the front and took our order was nice, and he was working diligently so it wasn't like he was goofing off and causing delays. My kids do enjoy the dumplings here and to be honest, this could be a place we would go once every 1-1.5 weeks if not for the ridiculous wait times. I was so excited about Bafang opening a location at Santa Anita Mall because it's really starting to be an awesome foodie haven. I want to say the location of this restaurant is really weird because it's not in the food court or the outdoor restaurant area. It's located on the 2nd floor by JC Penny. The inside is really nice and spacious with plenty of seating. I ordered chili pepper chicken and kimchi potstickers to dine in. It took about 15 minutes for my food to be finished which I thought was a bit too long considering I was the only customer at that moment. I picked up my food and at first glance I knew something was off. The chicken looked completely different than the ones I had at the City of Industry location. I have never seen smooth fried breading. So then I see the bottom of the chicken is soggy. The reason it's soggy is there was liquid on the bottom of the tray. I'm guessing this was excess water from the cabbage they put in the tray. Now I took a bite and omg I was so disappointed because it wasn't fried and crunchy but instead it was soggy and rubbery. The meat quality was terrible too. I couldn't even eat it. Now the kimchi potstickers looked ok but it also wasn't good. It was cold and even though it had been pan fried and it too was soggy. The quality of the food here makes me never want to come back. I've had excellent experiences at the City of Industry location so I'm really sad that I didn't get it here. read more

My soup came out lukewarm and the signature noodle is drenched in peanut sauce and not much else. There are plenty of seats in the resturant, I ordered number four combos with mala noodles and pork stick, the food turns out to be yummy, the noodles were pretty good. They say it's dry noodles but I think it has enough sauce with it, which turns out to be pretty good. It didn't take long for the order to be ready, you order at the front and pick up in the front also, the place is clean and bright. I think if they could put more noodles would be better, it was less than I thought, I could easily have two bowls. read more

It's a soft opening between 7/25-8/14, we ordered a potsticker/ wonton soup combo (#2), and a braised pork rice. Both were tasty, but due to the soft opening, it took a little longer than I would have preferred. Instead of waiting 5-7 minutes, it took more like 15 minutes. But instead of waiting 45 minutes+ at Ding Tai Fung, this is a viable option! The restaurant also has frozen bags of dumplings for $25. read more

This is definitely one of the best Asian food I've tried! The restaurant is constructed food court style with a place to place and pick up orders, so the service is always pretty quick. Whenever I come it's pretty packed, but there's usually at least one table available. Food quality is good as any other Bafang I've been too. The space itself is too small for how popular it is during peak hours atm. It also needs another trash can in the back near the restroom. When it's busy, it's too crowded to walk to the trash next to the fountain make to toss things away. I would give 5 stars if they didn't run out of Corn chowder and get my order wrong.
