I think I just caught them at a bad time before when they just opened. I got their Tiramisu latte now a few times, half sweet and extra shot of espresso, and I really love it! I love getting their Ham and Cheese croissant with it (freshly toasted) all under $7 with the drink, a great deal for a solid breakfast. I tried their Ube muffin as well which was very flavorful. It also came free with a greater than ten dollar spend. Not everything is perfect. I'm not the biggest fan of the meat burrito (although still a solid value, and filling) or their Vietnamese coffee, but overall you can't beat their overall quality at this price point. The owner is also very hardworking. You can see his care into finishing each drink and food item nicely and personally hands it to you. Will be back. I typically buy minimum four (4) muffins at a time given my 3 dogs love them, too. Note: I'm known as the muffin man @ Yis given I purchase muffins and give away to customers . And it does not stop with coffee and pastries. Try the fresh tuna melt and you will be hooked on Yi's. It's a large tuna melt so you may need to save 1/2 for later or another day. Takes me back to the early 2010s when prices were reasonable, and going out to eat wouldn't burn a hole in your wallet. Beautiful cafe drinks for under $4 and sandwiches under $6. Again, "wwhhhhaaaattt?" It is unheard of and unseen in this day and age. Boy I miss the living in the 2010s as a kid but I'll just come back to Yi's Cafe to be nostalgic then and enjoy their amazing prices and value. My fiancé and I felt like a simpleton that day so we went the basic route ordering a Cold Brew and their Hot Vanilla Latte, with a ham & cheese croissant to share. Came out to less than $15 for 2 drinks and a pastry. Again, unheard of in this day and age. And I should add - just as delicious, and it tastes even better with their prices. They have fresh baked muffins on display, and it was very tempting to look at, too. I can't wait to come back and try more pastries, and their cool drinks (e.g. Tiramisu latte, Dalgona Whipped Coffee, Lychee Rainbow Soda, etc)! There was only one man making all the orders. There are not enough words in a Yelp review to say all I want to say about this place, but I'll give it a shot. Yi's Cafe is a spot on the corner of a street that is a bit unassuming, with just two tables and a bit of seating outside. But don't let that fool you, this is one of the best cafe experiences Arcadia, and even SoCal, have to offer! Even though it was my first time, it felt like I'd known Eric for years. His friendliness, down-to-earth style of handling things, and open communication about wait times were highlights of the amazing customer service here. We waited approx. 20 minutes for our food and drinks, and were offered two free pastries along with it. We got a banana chip muffin and a matcha muffin, both phenomenal quick bites that satisfied our cravings and hunger for a bit while we waited for our food. We ended up spending about $23 for two entrees, two drinks, and two muffins. The bang for your buck here is unbeatable. I've never seen anything like it. The two entrees we picked were Yi's Beef Burrito and the Chicken Pesto Panini. Both were delicious and hearty, feeling more like a nostalgic meal from back home than lunch out. The drinks are quite literally $4. $4 for a coffee nowadays is like winning the lottery on your first try. No better feeling. Both were amazing, with bold coffee flavors and strong notes of tiramisu and cookie butter. No notes at all. Overall, I think this place does exactly what it needs to. It's a small, corner shop-style cafe with an owner that cares about his customers, remembering "usual" orders and having conversations with them while making their drinks. Other cafés, they would probably charge double the price and not taste as good but, Yi's Cafe definitely does it right! The Hainan Chicken Rice was decent for the price but the chicken was a little dry, the rice needed a bit more chicken stock, and I wish the sauce had more ginger in it. Other than that... It was pretty good. With all the food and drinks I got, plus tax and tip included... It only cost around $38. Which is such a steal for the quality of food and drinks that you get. There is so many good things I wanted to try on their menu, especially their breakfast sandwiches. Tiny lot behind the store but I parked on the street in the neighborhood which alot of other customers also did. There's only 4 food items on their menu right now. I ordered the beef burrito $5.99 which came with stewed beef and jasmine rice seasoned with a little soy sauce on it. I added salsa at home and it was a perfect filling meal. The tiramisu latte was a bit on the sweeter side for me but it was still delicious. The caramel frappe was equally as delicious and icy. The banana pound cake was so yummy. So glad my commute took me out of the way so I could try this gem! At 7am, this tiny storefront was already warm and welcoming. The owner was super friendly and recommended the tiramisu latte which for $4 was a STEAL. I also ordered the chicken rice and he threw in a blueberry muffin on the house. I've been hearing great things about Yi Cafe for a while--seeing videos on social media and hearing a friend who lives nearby rave about it--so I was excited to finally try it. Parking was easy to find. I would suggest parking on the street or side of the street. I ordered the tiramisu coffee, expecting it to be very sweet, but I was pleasantly surprised. It was delicious and truly tasted like dessert in a cup, with just the right amount of sweetness--not overpowering at all. The owner was friendly and welcoming, and even mentioned that I ordered the right drink since the tiramisu is their most popular item on the menu. He was absolutely right.
