Really enjoy this local gem. Ordered takeout recently for the first time in a long time and we were shocked by the amount of food you will receive for the price. Le Roy's has the best value, you get so so so much food for the same price as other breakfast spots in the area. I am on a quest to try old skool coffee shops in So Cal! I came across this place on IG and had to try it... I ordered the Spanish Omelette; three eggs with your choice of cheese.. I opted for swiss. It was delicious.. Eggs cooked to perfection and cheese melted just right. Wasn't greasy.. Tasted light and fluffy, matched up with some crispy hash browns and sourdough toast.. I was immediately greeted by the hostess/waitress/cashier.. Very efficient considering this place was packed on Monday morning/lunchy time.. Came for lunch on a Saturday and to sum it up - large portions but mediocre food. I ordered the steak and eggs with country fries, and unfortunately the steak was reallyyyy tough. For the biscuits and gravy, I was disappointed as the biscuits were really dry. The gravy was solid but definitely needed a lot of it to make up for the dry biscuit. My fiancé ordered bacon, hash browns, and fried eggs. The bacon was SO SALTY, but in the end worked with the bland hash browns. This is a true old-fashioned diner. The excellent servers call you honey and sweetie. Traditional diner fare. I enjoyed a poached egg cooked to perfection. Others enjoyed corned beef and waffles. I've gone to Leroy's Restaurant at least 7 times this year (2026) and had an enjoyable experience, but that all ended on June 9, 2026. My caregiver, my service dog and I went for an enjoyable breakfast of Porkchop, mashed potatoes and corn. But this day, the cook must have been drunk or under the influence. When my meal arrived, I found that not only was the porkchop not hot, but I couldn't cut it with a knife much less a fork. The server was very understanding when I showed her that the porkchop was rock hard by banging it on the plate. I asked her to replace my meal with another one, but to have the cook make sure that the new one was soft and pliable. After about 15 minutes, she returned with a plate empty of everything except another hard porkchop. My caregiver had already finished her meal and was just waiting for me to be served. I told her that this was unacceptable and to just take it off the bill. The server suggested that I just take it home for the dog as it was not good enough to eat with the words "you might as well take it home, we're just going to throw it away anyway." When we went to the cashier, she must have been having a rough day as she challenged me by saying "What, you won't eat it but you want to take it home!!? And then dramatically opened the take home box and threw it into the trashcan. I am probably 20 years older than the cashier but I still didn't expect to be so disrespected by her. Came for some brunch on a weekend and there weren't that many people waiting. We waited about 5 minutes before our name was called. The staff was great in helping me choose between 3 menu choices. I ended up with their French toast, eggs, and bacon. I also ordered a side of tater tots. The order of the French toast is gigantic because they use a Texas toast and contained no cinnamon. The server brought over the cinnamon shaker after it came to the table. I ordered the eggs as scrambled easy and it came out just the way I wanted. Bacon could have been a little crisper but it was still delicious. My husband got their chili with a patty. Im not sure what it was called, but he ate it all. Came here with the family after a good fun session of pickleball for brunch. The service was amazing and the outdoor seating was great since we brought along a dog. The food we got left a lot to be desired. We ordered an omelette with country fries along with a side of biscuits and gravy. Wasn't expecting the gravy to contain ham but besides that the biscuits were extremely dry that the gravy could not save. The country fries I wish were more crisp however the other items ordered by the family were good. My nephew got the Ruben and the pastrami sandwich was delicious. We came here on a Sunday morning for breakfast /lunch. There were three of us and we ordered omelets and a club sandwich. I had the club sandwich. The thing that ruined the club sandwich for me was the cheese. It was supposedly cheddar cheese but it very much tasted like and had that texture like the kind of processed cheese slices that you get individually wrapped in plastic. It ruined the entire sandwich for me. I did enjoy the cottage fries though. It was my first time ever hearing of them or trying them and they were great. One of the omelets also had that terrible cheese and it somewhat ruined that dish as well. The service was okay. Nothing great but they were doing their best because it was a busy morning. It's a very small restaurant and you will probably hear the conversation from the tables nearby. This is definitely not the kind of place where you have an intimate meal. While there was a line, when we walked in, we asked one of the staff members how long the wait would be and she said about 15 minutes. Not bad for a Sunday! My hubby was happy with their Greek Omelette with tater tots so crunchy... Their drinks were ok, the freshly brewed iced tea was just ok likewise their coffee. It came with a good portion and everything tasted fresh. The combination in the omelet worked really well together and made it a filling meal. The sides also paired nicely with it. been coming to this diner on and off for years. its an institution in the arcadia-monrovia area and its always a hoot coming here. it's like stepping back a few decades, got the diner decor, classic benches, and even seating along the kitchen area. the waitstaff here is always pleasant and kind, never have anything bad to say. the food here is solid. now you ain't finna get no michelin style food, but this is food for the soul. its also the only breakfast joint around that i know of that serves corned beef hash iykyk. i always come here for their breakfast burrito. there may be better breakfast burritos out there, but their burrito combined with their salsa and classic diner feel is unbeatable for me. much love to this establishment. read more

I remember loving the atmosphere there because it's a little mom n pop diner style place that I always love to patronize. I must have picked the right time to go because this place always has a line out the door! But, I was seated as soon as I walked through the door. The waitresses are always personable there which is very important to me. The lone downside was my order was not prepared accurately at my eggs were not prepped correctly and I got a different style of potato than what I asked for. Do I care? No, it all tastes the same and it all has the same nutritional value but, if you are particular like that, it may be something you want to be aware of. And taste was on par for my liking. I ordered the chicken fried steak and eggs and coffee! It came with a side of potatoes and choice of pancakes or toast. I picked the pancake. It's my family and I's first time coming here after seeing a post on social media of this place. We were seated within 10-15 minutes. Cashier and Waitresses were super friendly and kind. Although their service was great, their food was pretty disappointing however. They severely burnt my dad's toast and my sister found a lash in the fries in the fish and chips. We did go on a Sunday afternoon so it was super busy. I understand that when there is a food rush, things in the BOH can get difficult but, for the amount of time we waited for our food (est. 30-40 mins) it came to us in that kind of quality and was slightly cold. Pretty disappointing... it might be better to come on a weekday instead of a weekend. If you guys enjoy plain tasting brunch with a decent portion size and don't mind waiting for long this place might be it for you. We drove out from West LA this past weekend specifically for this diner and are all happy that we did so. Open since 1974 it's quite famous on the diner circuit and has served many people using Route 66 and now the 10 freeway over the decades. As you would guess, Le Roy's is a traditional diner, although I would classify it more as a local country diner. It's fairly small on the inside but very homey. They have many different seating options from booths to tables to counter seating. All the seating is indoors so if there is a line, be prepared to wait a bit to sit. They have a parking lot attached out back otherwise street parking is easy to find in this part of town. Our server was very polite and everything that we ordered arrived very quickly. Pricing is also very fair it was about $110 for a party of four. For my first visit, I wanted to try a diner classic so I ordered the Chicken Fried Steak and loved it. The meat was not overly fried and the portion sizes were very generous. The eggs were also cooked perfectly to my order and I really enjoyed the dish overall. It's the sort of place that is usually filled with locals so I would really classify it as a local hidden gem. I definitely plan to be back next time I'm in the area. read more

The best time is in the morning , and when breakfast begins at 6:30 in the morning, Mon to Thursday to 2 PM. Fri to Sunday 7AM to 3PM. Our favorite time to eat is breakfast their is amazing, good, and everything is made from scratch and made to order when you come to Le Roy's. The atmosphere is kinda home comfort style. I've been going to LeRoys for several years now, I always take any out town friends/family there and it's a hit every time! The staff is friendly without being intrusive, highly efficient, I never have to ask for drink refills, water, napkins, whatever, it's either on the table or brought over before anyone can ask. I've never had anything that wasn't incredibly delicious. I usually or the Club Sandwich but got the Monte Cristo and yum! Portions are big and the prices fair. Early breakfasts with local construction workers and such make it a perfect diner experience. Have the deep fried Twinkie if it's on your bucket list, that, in itself, is worth the visit. They are tater tots masters too so go knowing you're in for carb overload but worth it. read more
