Had a great experience at BJ's in Arcadia. My family and I attended a funeral and needed a place that could accommodate a party of 15 with no reservations. BJ's didn't flinch and after a 20 minute wait we were seated in somewhat of a private room situation. This worked out great as it was so fun to catch up with my cousins and watch the NBA games on their flatscreen TV's. Everyone enjoyed their meal and I highly recommend the Asian chicken salad and the chicken club were outstanding. My cousin ordered a personal pizza and it was delicious as well. My mother had the shrimp scampi and said that it was spectacular. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and it didn't take long for our food to come out and most of all of our food came out at the same time. This is a relatively small location compared to some others in Southern California. It is well maintained and does a good business. I had a steak with garlic Ed vegans a Salisbury. The steak was thick and done to the medium rare I requested. The veggies were not overcooked. I opted to order the mushroom & onion topping. I was happy it was burger Wednesday (didn't know) and tried the Hatch chili burger ($12.99). Both came with fries. Really good portions, we both took half home, both burgers were doubles. The hatch chili burger was delicious! A little bite to it from the hatch chili crema, but the flavors were great (pepper jack cheese, grilled onion, hatch chili crema). The smash burger had great taste, as well- lettuce, tomato cheese. While sitting it got extremely cold and we had to say something. Our waitress was nice, she didn't bother us or rush us. We had such a great experience at BJ's Restaurant in Arcadia! From the moment we sat down, Charlie, who was both our bartender and waiter, took amazing care of us. He was friendly, attentive, and really made us feel welcome without ever being overbearing. The food came out hot, fresh, and absolutely delicious. You can tell they take pride in what they serve; everything was flavorful and satisfying. We keep coming back... Lol We have been coming to this place for a very long time. We started coming when this place first opened... This must say something about how we enjoy this place. Atmosphere is great usually, but today we had a loud group a few tables away from us who kept screaming and laughing obnoxiously loud (adult group). Then, there was also a group just around the wall where the kid kept screeching with his voice as well as making annoying loud noise by rubbing the bottom of his sneakers against the floor. I actually asked him to stop... He looked at me, then went away and kept at it. I like a lively atmosphere but this was too much. I usually like their pizzas. The flatbread pizzas are great and they're deep dish are quite nice too. I'm going to just list some of the items that I really enjoy here. Avocado egg rolls as well as boneless or bone-in chicken wings are a great appetizer. The California club flatbread can be an appetizer as well and this is really good... At least I like it very much. When I go with the family, we usually order a large deep dish pizza with half and half toppings. BJ's favorite, barbecue chicken, BJ's classic combo, and the vegetarian pizzas are all very good. They also have daily specials on weekdays as well as happy hour if you are able to get there early enough. If you take advantage of these specials, this place becomes a place of great value as well. As far as the desserts go, I do not really enjoy sweets. They're known for their pizookies, but they're not for me. I just eat a little bit of the ice cream that comes with it. They're vanilla is pretty good. I know I will be continuing to come to this place. Came here for happy hour the other day with the hubby. We were immediately greeted and seated. Service was excellent. Our server came to our table a few times to check up on us and kept asking if I wanted a refill on my soda when she saw I was almost done. We ended up ordering a beer, a soda, and the chips with salsa and guacamole. A little sad with how little guacamole they give because we ended up having chips left over at the end. Everything went well here. We brought our niece to celebrate her 16th birthday. I ordered the wago burger with fries. The other three ordered a large classic combo pizza, and we were rewarded with a chocolate chunk birthday pouzouki to celebrate the birthday. Anna provided superb service, welcoming, patiently describing dishes to us as we asked, took excellent care of us to make sure everything was going well. Got to tell you, I don't understand why this is only 3.5 stars. This is the first time I've been to BJ's and I'm sorry that I haven't come sooner and at least several times. I spoke with the manager, who I think is named Jennifer, but I could be wrong. I let her know how great Anna was, as well as the servers who assisted her. It came with 2 sides, a soup or salad, and a Pizookie. What a deal! For the sides, I ordered rice pilaf and asparagus (as advertised). For my soup, I got jacked by my girl and she ordered clam chowder. For my pizookie, I didn't get to choose! My girl changed my pick to her choice of strawberry shortcake. My lovely child ordered the club sandwich, which came with fresh avocado slices in them. Yet had the audacity to request not to have avocados as she didn't like them nor even want a slightest taste of them; whereas, I wanted the avocados! Should have asked to have that on the side! Told ya she was adopted! I love avocados and she dislikes them; whereas, I dislike durian and she loves them. No wonder we never fight over food :D. I also ordered hot-tea for drinks. We were looking at the menu decided order the prime rib and pork chop three course meal, but the waitress said we're sold out for thr night. Then my wife decided to get the prime rib dip sandwich, and I decided to order the Californian club sandwich. My wife decided to order the Lucky Duck on the tub the drink it come mini bath tub. The waitess brought the Lucky Duck in the tub drink it's very cute the the liquid is blue to match the water substitute, and it also comes two lite up ice cubes and a mimi duck. A couple of minutes later, she brought our meal to the table. The food looked so good and delicious. I took a bite of my Californian club sandwich full of flavor in the sandwich. The chickens were grill perfect, and tender adding the bacon and avocado made the club a very good club sandwich. My wife enjoyed her prime rib dip sandwich, she said, full of flavor, and the prime beef was very tender, and the aujus dipping sauce was a little bit salty but she love it. After we finished our meal we ordered dessert we ordered a strawberry shortcake pizookie. The strawberry shortcake pizookie was very good and rich in flavor, including the addition of fresh strawberries on the pizookie. we enjoy it very much. Not the best BJs I've been to but also can't complain since I love their Pizookies too much to stop going. I am not sure why no matter what time of day I visit this BJs, they seat us at the bar area. In fact, unless if you're there with kids, then off to the bar area you'll go. This has nothing to do with a wait either because most of the time, the main dining area is pretty much empty. The service is always a hit or miss. Either we get someone super attentive or someone who acts like she would rather be in bed. Food reminds me of hospital meals that are reheated in a microwave... We had a great experience at BJ's in Monrovia, thanks largely to George, who helped us during our visit. He was absolutely wonderful--so pleasant, attentive, and completely on point with his recommendations. His warm smile and friendly demeanor really elevated the entire experience and made us feel genuinely welcomed. For food, we started with the macaroni ball appetizer, which was very good. I actually preferred it plain. The two sauces it came with were tasty, but the cheese sauce was a bit much since the appetizer is already essentially mac and cheese--still enjoyable, just a little over the top. We mainly came to try the Dubai Pazookie, and unfortunately, that was the letdown of the night. The kataifi was really the only element that made it feel "Dubai chocolate." The pistachio flavor was extremely faint, almost unnoticeable, and the triple chocolate was overly rich. The cream helped slightly, but it barely balanced out the intensity of the chocolate. Overall, service--especially from George--was excellent, appetizers were solid, but the Dubai Pazookie didn't quite live up to the hype. read more

Recently visited BJ's in Arcadia and took advantage of their $13 pizookie deal, which turned out to be a great and decent value. Been seeing their advertising around so decided to take the leap and try it out. It's like a sport bar type of restaurant. I ordered the Smash Burger with fries and the Strawberry Shortcake Pizookie, and I was thoroughly impressed. The Smash Burger was the star of the show. It was a perfectly cooked patty served on a pillowy soft brioche bun. The fries were also light and crispy. I've never had fries that were that light before. At the dessert was the Strawberry Shortcake Pizookie which was the perfect sweet ending. It was everything you'd expect from a BJ's pizookie: warm, gooey, and delicious. But it was also super sweet for a cookie. The downside of this visit was how long it took for the food to come. It was a relatively long wait especially for the pizookie. The waitress did stop by to apologize for the long wait. I know it's not her fault. Definitely worth the visit and try out other dishes. read more

We got to the restaurant around 5:30pm on Saturday and the restaurant was pretty busy and lively. We got on the waitlist from the app and waited about 10 minutes to get our table. The service was great. Every staff seemed courteous. We ordered prime rib meal, chicken parm, and a kid's meal. The chicken parm was great. The kid picked fettuccine Alfredo, sweet potato fries and root beer for his meal and he really liked it. The prime rib meal seems like a great deal - you get a soup or salad, two sides, prime rib, and a pizookie for $35.99. I picked clam chowder, mashed potato, baked potato and medium rare prime rib. All the sides were great. But my medium rare prime rib came out to almost totally rare. I didn't bother to ask them to cook it some more because most of the time it will then be overcooked. So I only ate a little bit and plan to cook it some more at home. However, the prime rib still made me sick when I went home. Totally disappointed about it. Next time I will just pick something more safe from the menu. read more

My friends and I ordered the $35.99 prime rib set on Saturday. It was a good value, offering a large portion, and the flavor was decent. It had a lot of gristle, but we didn't mind too much considering the low price. Also, you could ask the server for extra horseradish for the steak. The Double Bone-in Pork Chop, which was $32.99, tasted better than the prime rib in my opinion. The clam chowder was okay and had a good amount of meat. The set meal included a choice of one of the following: Strawberry Shortcake Pizookie, White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Pizookie, Hot Fudge Brownie Pizookie, or Snickers Pizookie. They were a bit too sweet, though. There were four people, four special set meals, and four drinks (they said they didn't charge for the crystal boba drink because it came late). After tax and a 15% tip, the total was $214.38, which averaged $53.60 per person. If there is a time limit for dining based on reservations, it should be clearly stated at the time of booking so customers can decide whether to come. I also love their beers which is the main reason we come here. Beer: BJs Nutty Brewnette is excellent. I also tried the amber and red. Can't go wrong with the lager or the blonde. Basically, something for everyone. The $13 pizookie meal is nuts. Idk how they make money here. You get a full entree and a pizookie which is a lot of food. See pics for menu. The daily brew house specials are also insane. I like Wednesday's because you get ANY BURGER from the menu (regular $17.99) for $12 with unlimited fries. And all day $5 beers. WHAT?! The Thursday $19 sirloin is worth it although not the best cut of beef. I've had that as well as the baby back ribs (bit too sweet for me) that has two sides and a pizookie. Feeds 2 if you ask me. The vibe is nice and weekends and special days like Halloween gets packed so I would reserve online. Highly recommended so you wait a lot less. The service is also very nice HOWEVER it can take a long time for certain items and or pizookie. One time they forgot and I waited 30 mins for the cookie! So I think they can improve on the speed.
