For a Cheesecake Factory, this is pretty consistent. (I base this 4/5 review on this premise... lol!) We come here every once in a while when we go to the Santa Anita mall. It's accessible from outside the mall right by the food court. We've never had to wait to be seated. They're very accommodating with children, indoor or outdoor seating. There's also a children's menu. Service is always very kind and attentive. Food... goodness.... The menu at CF always gives me anxiety bc it's basically an encyclopedia of food. The food is pretty much mediocre in my book but (as stated above) for a CF, it's pretty standard. I honestly can't say I have a favorite dish. lol!!! First off, Alex is a phenomenal server. He fixed our crazy wobbly table issue outside on the patio by helping us with musical tables until we got it right, got someone to get our heater lamp turned on, never missed a request, and kept that delicious factory bread and drinks coming even though he had to always go inside to handle other tables. We haven't been to Cheesecake Factory for anything other than dessert for a long time and was surprised at the quality, portioning, and flavor of what we ordered. We had the classic avocado eggrolls which have not changed. Delicious and fresh with that great tamarind dipping sauce. My husband had some grilled salmon which was cooked perfectly and I tried the Peruvian chicken bowl because I was feeling like plantains and it did not disappoint. For a bowl, I was surprised it had two super tender chicken breasts in it along with black beans, plantains, rice, and salsa. It was perfect for what I was craving at the time and a generous serving of it. Finished everything off with Godiva and lemon raspberry cheesecakes. Godiva is the must for chocolate lovers and the lemon raspberry for something cakes, fruity, and sweet/tart. Luckily, my partner and I only waited about 20 minutes when we arrived around 9:30pm, which honestly surprised me because it was still super busy and lively. Food took about 40 minutes. We were seated and got bread right away, which was great because we were starving. Our server was nice, but it took quite a while for her to come take our order and check on us afterward. Food-wise, the Pasta Da Vinci was decent, but the sauce was watery, it's usually much thicker. The real disappointment was the Jambalaya. The pasta itself was completely unseasoned, and only the chicken and shrimp had any flavor. My partner usually doesn't like to complain, but even he didn't enjoy it. When I tried it, I was honestly shocked. Paying $30 for bland pasta was really disappointing. We also ordered the Parmesan truffle fries, and they were drenched in oil. Came here on Saturday at 11:40ish am and didn't get to leave until 3pm. I don't think I've dined here for ~3 hours before... We saw 3 different groups next to us come and go before we could leave. I came with a big group of 8 and we were seated within 10 minutes. We didn't get a water refill once during the time we dined here. It wasn't our first time dining at this restaurant but always noticed that our server would always disappear when we're eating. The table shared 2 small crab bites and 1 calamari. This came relatively fast. We had ordered this the same time as our entrees. Over the years, the portions definitely got smaller. Both dishes were delicious and fresh tasting. I ordered the lunch chicken caesar salad and someone else at my table did too. Our salads looked completely different in size. Mine was perfectly filled with an appropriate amount of romaine lettuce but the other one had barely any lettuce. Overall, I thought it was an average salad. The chicken was an additional $2.50 to add on and you can choose between grilled and breaded. I just wished that there was more lettuce since it just felt like I was just eating grilled chicken with a side of salad. This Cheesecake Factory location is hit or miss. Most of the time it's insanely busy, with very slow service, and mediocre food. Recently I went there on a Friday afternoon around 4:00 and had a much different experience. We were seated right away, the server told us the Happy Hour was just starting and gave us a Happy Hour menu, and she provided the best service we've ever had at this location. We had a couple of cocktails, indulged in the appetizers, and got cake and cheesecake to go for later in the evening. The fried mac and cheese balls were so tasty. My family gets them all the time but I had never tried them. I was so surprised at how flavorful they were. I would definitely order them again. The pretzel bites and cheddar cheese fondue was also excellent. I've also never had a bad seared ahi tuna salad here; it's consistently good at all locations. I was very surprised at how good the Happy Hour mojito was. Some places give you a smaller glass or less alcohol if it's Happy Hour but here! My drink was great! We also sat in the bar area but at a booth so the lighting was great. Sometimes when we sit deeper in the restaurant it can be quite dark. Not going to lie very disappointed. First when they brought my plate they said be careful do. It touch the plate it very hot well how do I eat I asked? Came during a weekday night. Parking was hard to find as usual. Been coming to this Cheesecake Factory for Happy Hour for years. Happy Hour was Monday through Friday from 4-6pm. Happy Hour was still open seating, but they recently took out one seating section for regular diners. We had to wait for one of the bar seats or high tables to open up. The waitress brought us water and molasses/sourdough bread after we sat down for a while. We got our usual "Happy Hour" Burger for $10.99. They did not allow you to change the cook level of your patty. The burger was quite greasy. Got the Fried Calamari for $10.99. The calamari had a lot of batter and was also super greasy. Also got the Chicken Taquitos for $9.99. The taquitos took about 45 minutes to come out. We had to remind our waitress after we were nearly done with our burgers. The taquitos were super crispy and piping hot. The food was good, but greasy. Saw our neighbors kept ordering the Happy Hours drinks. We had to send my fiances pasta back because it was very undercooked. The problem came when we got the bill we put down our payment card and a gift card. I was trying to decide between two dishes. I ultimately went with the Jambalaya, as our server suggested it offered good value with shrimp and chicken. The shrimp and chicken were cooked well. However, when I ordered, I was told it would be a green, vegetable-based linguine, but it ended up being a white linguine with only a few pieces of green linguine. The linguine itself was fine, but it tasted too soupy, like it wasn't properly drained before serving. I was a bit disappointed, but my wife was kind enough to share some of her Korean Fried Chicken. Next time, I'd like to try the Monte Cristo, as it's only available on weekends. We usually go during the week, so I haven't had a chance to try it yet. The recession and inflation and workers are all declining in quality. I loved this place but these days, its like too bad that i could not even eat the food when i got home. I ordered chicken wings and it is burnt and seemed like they just re-heated the chicken wings that were cold and gave me the wings. I got shafted. The bartender seemed to smile in my face. Then deliver me this closed box of burnt wings that i did not notice till i got home today , and opened it. I paid over 20$ and just gave it to the critters outside. The smile in your face and stab you in back days are coming back. Even when i was poor, gone thru bad economy, i always tried to give the best service. Oh well, 99 out of 100 the cheese cake is delicious and manager does a good job but its getting harder with shrinkflation, inflation, low morale and people snapping or dumping their entitled envy and hatred on strangers. I visit The Cheesecake Factory fairly often, especially since they often have offers if you are a Cheesecake Rewards member. I am about equidistant from 2 locations: Old Town Pasadena and The Shops at Santa Anita in Arcadia. Arcadia has easier (and free) parking. More often than not I come for Happy Hour (M-F 4-6 pm) for good value. Cheesecake's menu is famously extensive, with new items being added periodically. The Happy Hour menu still offers good variety as well as their "famous" complimentary bread. Three HH items are enough for a meal. And of course you can get a slice of cheesecake or another dessert at the bar. Great for an informal meal; diners are bound to find something they like on the menu. The Korean fried Cauliflower is amazing. It's fried really well and the Korean sauce has a flavor I have yet to try anywhere else. The fried zucchini is my favorite. Huge pieces and they don't come out soggy. Minus a star because the salad was super basic and they could have added more veggies. Service was fine! Nothing amazing not horrible. Ambience was great with the sun shinning in until they closed the blinds and made it feel like we were dining in a cave. read more

I made a reservation via online as I had an account (this is the only way you can reserve a spot).
