    Sicilian Pizza

I haven't had CPK in a while and was craving it while at the mall so we decided to dine in. There was no wait during the time so we got seated right away. A server came and took our order and the food came out really quick! We got started with some complimentary bread and ordered the Sicilian pizza, chicken tequila fettuccine and Mexican street corn. We actually got the Mexican street corn complimentary as well because we joined the CPK reward program, which gives you a free appetizer! Overall, the ambience was really chill and the staff was really nice!

I made the RSVP online for 1:00pm on a Saturday. I thought people would be done eating lunch but it was packed. We got there about 10 minutes late but they seated us immediately. It was super crowded but the service was fast and friendly. This is the second time I've been here and I'm satisfied both times. The food was good and fresh. The ambience was well lighted and plenty of space to walk.

Great location! This location is very convenient for us. We usually come and put our name down, then walk around until we get a text letting us know the table is ready. Service is a hit or miss. It really depends who you get and how busy they are. Carol is one of the servers that stand out, but I don't know if she still works here. Carol was one of the best servers for this . There always seen to be flies and/or gnats flying in the dining area. This is a huge turn off for a restaurant. I guess I only come back here for the convenience of the location. The food is good. It really depends what you get, and I usually stick to my usuals... Some of my all-time favorites are: chicken tequila fettuccine, Kung Pao spaghetti, Thai chicken Pizza, wild mushroom pizza and of course the barbecue chicken pizza. The complimentary bread that is served with olive oil is quite good. I always ask for balsamic vinegar to go along with it and it adds so much more flavor. My recently tried the Thai crunch salad and the carne asada pizza. They were both pretty good. To wrap it up, it's a very convenient place to eat and the food is good overall. However, the flies and gnats that fly around kind of ruin the dining experience. I would still come back just because it is convenient but I wish the management can do something about the flies and the gnats.

Have been coming to CPK my whole life and it's always a solid place for getting food and hanging out with friends and family. I really like their lunch deals- good selection and great value. Just a bit sad that they were out of their new item, the burnt ends pizza; that looked interesting. I got a bbq chicken pizza and thai salad instead. The pizzas and complimentary bread are nice with soft crusts and the thai salad crunch was refreshing. The restaurant is clean, spacious, and comfortable. The service was great. Fun location in the mall. Was able to be seated for a party of 4 on Monday lunch with no wait.

Came on a Tuesday / Wednesday night. Crystal took care of us, she did a great job. She was friendly, helpful, and explained some of the drinks. We ordered a Sicilian pizza and a works with cauliflower crust, with no olives. Food came out correctly and tasted good. She must have been selling a lot of drinks cause it looked like she was a bartender too. We enjoyed the food and the service. They had TVs with the dodgers game on to watch. Restaurant was clean and staff were friendly. We'll be back again.

    NEW - STEAKHOUSE SALAD

Having a lunch meeting with my friend and we stopped here for the second time. This place is always neat and clean. It was on a weekday so there were no much wait. The waiter greeted us with a smile and seated us quickly. We saw the new item-- steak salad and Thai shrimp as the appetizer and decided to give them a try like we always do!! Love the food taste test!! The salad is very refreshing with texture and flavors, but the steak portion is a little disappointing. We love the shrimp appetizer!! Very crunchy and the sauce is sweet with a slight tangy. Highly recommended to try.

This location is on the second floor on the Macy's side of the mall. It's nice looking and cleans. There's plenty of seating inside and outside. The staff was friendly and helpful. The host seemed tired but that's not problem. The bread they give for the table was actually decent. It was crisp while soft. I got the mushroom pepperoni sausage pizza. It was pretty good. Not too oily and well balanced amount of toppings. The thin crust was crispy. I only ended up eating half, maybe could've have a fourth slice. It's a good place to chill with friends/family.

Came on a weekday, clean, spacious restaurant with plenty of seats, attentive, friendly service, affordable lunch special, delicious gluten free pizza & salad. Their lunch specials are Mon-Fri from 11a-4p, pizza duo & sandwich duo were only $13.99 and pasta duo $12.99. All duos came with a cup of soup or lunch size salad. The manager personally came out to serve me my pizza & reassured me it was baked in a separate oven so there's no cross contamination. Their peach ice tea was also delicious with free refills, they even gave us a cup to go. Their lunch specials are such a great deal, I highly recommended it! CPK is located on the 2nd floor near Macy's.

    AVOCADO CLUB EGG ROLLS
    Sheeny N.

First off, EXCELLENT SERVICE. We had a wonderful waitress who always checked on us and was so bubbly. Food came out within 10 minutes of ordering. You can choose to either sit on the inside part of the restaurant, outdoors, or by the walkway of the mall (which can appear awkward sometimes with strangers staring at you). Avocado Club Eggrolls: 10/10 AMAZING. No notes on this dish. It's savory and comes with ranch and thousand island dipping sauce. Macaroni & Cheese: 5/10. I FEEL SCAMMED. People on Tik Tok kept hyping up this dish and talking about how they changed the recipe and how good it was. I was once again a victim of these Tik Tok lies! This dish was so bland and the sauce didn't even coat the pasta noodles. Some of the fusilli was dry. I feel like I can make it better at home. They give you complimentary bread and olive oil, but that was VERY BLAND as well. Sadly, CPK's quality of food has gone down. However, I wouldn't mind going back again for the avocado egg rolls. Parking is convenient and free since it's in a mall!

    Where is the cheese? Nonexistent

Ordered through uber eats and what we received was a disappointment. I attached a photo of the pizza we received. Barely any toppings and where is the cheese? The pizza also looks like it shrunk. The prices did not match the quality of food.

Mold on the bread Togo :(
    Paul G.

I ordered food for take for my fiancée and mom and we had been going to this location for years. The person helping me for the Togo order was so nice and helpful. But I just have to report a low score because they served us bread with mold. Thank goodness I caught this or we could have all been sick. I hope for the Togo orders to be better with the freebies after this

One of the great places to eat at when visiting the The Shops Santa Anita. Never had a long wait. You can call in before hand so you don't have a long wait. Everyone loves the pizza here. The mushroom pepperoni sausage is one of my family's go tos. If you're not feeling pizza there are other plates to choose from. There are different pasta and salad creations to choose from the menu. Salads I recommend the Cobb salad or the Thai crunch. Pasta I would go with Jambalaya linguini fini. It has great flavor with shrimp, chicken, andouille sausage, and ham. The service has always been on point. Great place to come enjoy a great meal after all that shopping.

Because the wait time was too long for that, we decided to try The Dive Oyster Bar -- and man are we sure glad we did. We got a total of five items: a bowl of clam chowder, the soft shell crab appetizer, the roasta, the traditional pan roast with the house speciality protein (with the crab on the side because of my dad's crab allergy), and the jambalaya, which for the last three we ate with medium heat. We shared everything (except for the crab appetizer because, again, crab allergy for dad) and found the food to be delicious, with each entree coming out tasting better than the last. Personally, the roasta was my favorite with the pan roast as a close second. Very flavorful dishes with medium heat being a good level for us (wasn't spicy for our Korean palates). Service was great, our server (unfortunately forgot his name) was attentive and quick with our requests, and although he forgot a side of rice, it was for the best as the food had settled in our stomachs by then and we were content with what we ordered. The restaurant itself is well maintained with ample table space and appropriate lighting, though the music from the evening DJ was a tad bit too loud to hear from across the table. Not a big mood killer for us, though mostly because the good was that good. We're not from this area, so the odds of coming here again are relatively slim -- but should the opportunity present itself, it'll be more than fate this time to take us through these doors once again.

All the various BJs locations seem to have different specials that rotate. On our visit this time, there was a three course meal pizookie special. There was a choice of soup or salad, entree from a list, and choice of pizookie. We got the pizza, wedge salad, and triple chocolate and chocolate chunk pizookies. All of the food was just ok. None was bad, but none was exceptional either. The best items were the pizookies. On this visit, two servers helped us as the first one went to a different section when the new one came on shift. Both of them were very nice and attentive and offered a quality of service that far outmatched the quality of the food. The restaurant was pretty full already even at about 4:00-4:30 for an early dinner on a Sat and was quite noisy between the talking and background music. The restaurant seems centered on the bar which has decent TVs to watch games. We also got a standard margarita with a salted rim. The quality was also just ok, but we like the way they make them. It was consistent with other BJs locations. This BJs is a nice place to have a casual family meal or hang out with friends in the bar to see a game or just chat. We did not see a happy hour menu or advertisement like at other BJs locations, but perhaps we were just there on the wrong day and time. Still recommending giving this location a try, but maybe try to go a little early like we did to avoid the crowd or a wait--a number of people were already waiting for tables when we left.

It was also served with a Bloody Mary cocktail sauce and classic tartar sauce. Get this classic appetizer, y'all. The 16 oz prime rib with a small side of cubed baked sweet potatoes and red and yellow peppers was cooked to medium rare perfection. The prime rib was perfectly seasoned and slow-roasted. The thing practically melted in my mouth. So heavenly! My only complaint was that my prime rib was a bit too salty for my taste. So the cubed baked sweet potatoes and red and yellow peppers did kinda off set the saltiness of the prime rib. I also had this same problem at the Blue Bayou in Disneyland. I hate it when my meat is over salted, but whatever. The creamed corn was such a great side. Definitely upgrade to this premium side if you like corn. It's so worth it. As a massive dork for corn, this was perfection in a dish. Lowkey this was the star dish for me. Not the prime rib, sadly. The dish is fricken sweet, savory, creamy, rich, and comforting. It outshined the prime rib by a mile IMHO. GET THIS DISH! The warm whisky bread pudding was surprisingly really tasty. This is a classic sweet bread pudding drenched in a rich, creamy whiskey sauce. I got this dessert because it was highly recommended by my waiter. Honestly, I can see why this moist, vanilla-based bread pudding with a generous pour of warm, sweet whiskey cream sauce was highly recommended. The whipped cream and single black berry added a nice touch to this dessert too. Staff: The staff here are very friendly, welcoming, informative, and fast. They accept both cash and credit cards. There is no credit card minimum.

Found the 16 ounces a little too much. I'd recommend everyone just to stick to the 12 ounces. Sides: Still prefer the cream corn and spinach from Lawry's, but overall still a pretty solid meal. Cocktails: Secretariat was good, but if you get a pre-mixed solution from Sprouts and get a Top Shelf Scotch like the discounted Blue Label at Costco, you can create yourself a pretty good mixer at home. Think I should have went with a Pino Grigio or something. Soups: Solid French Onion Soup, although I wished the soup based had a more potent amount of sherry or Sauvignon Blanc. Overall thoughts: very historical indeed. You walk in here and you immediately feel that old money vibe. It has that Rat Pack era feel, Frank Sinatra Playing in the background, and has that Mr. Walt Disney might hang out here aura. Be prepared to dish out 100+ per person. This place has similar vibes to the speakeasy the Cellar in Fullerton California. But I found the prime rib to lack that melt in your mouth and balance fat to lean ratio that you find at Summit House and Lawry's. Nevertheless, service was AAA, Ally was great. Hosts were all really chill. Will return for the filet mignon next time. Not quite 5 stars, but deserves a 4

We sat at a table by the front window facing the main drag. The area definitely has an old town feel with many restaurants and shops up and down the street. There is also a park right across the street. There is plenty of parking around the corner on the street and in a nearby lot. I started out with the Coughlin's Law cocktail (Aviation gin, house infused vanilla syrup, fresh lemon, egg white, lavender bitters, $16). It was a good light drink with light vanilla and lemon flavor. I always love a good foam top too. She started out with a Basil Paloma (Herradura silver tequila, muddled basil & grapefruit, fresh grapefruit juice, lime, simple syrup, seltzer, $15). It had good grapefruit and basil flavor, and was nicely balanced. We ordered the buffalo cauliflower appetizer ($14). The cauliflower was supposed to be grilled, but it seemed almost raw. The buffalo sauce definitely had a good kick. For my entrée, I had the Black Angus Basin Burger (manchego cheese, carmelized onions, arugula, special sauce, brioche bun, $19). The burger was excellent. The cheese, carmelized onions, and arugula was a great flavor combo. The fries were good, but I'd order them more crispy next time. She had the two taco plate with fish and potato tacos ($15). The taco shells were freshly fried, and it was a filling plate that she enjoyed. We had one more round of drinks and I had the Billionaire cocktail (Old Forrester 100 proof bourbon, lemon, house made grenadine, absinthe, $16). This was excellent. It was very balanced, and not boozy at all with a very light sweetness. Her second was the Smoke and Fire (Peloton de la Muerte mezcal, Ancho Reyes liqueur, muddled jalapeno & orange, fresh lime, agave, chili salt, $15). It was pretty well balanced with a medium smokiness. It definitely had a kick of heat on the finish. Our server Lakyn was friendly and provided good service. The menu prices are cash prices. There is an extra 3.5% surcharge if you pay with a credit card. The buffalo cauliflower appetizer was mostly a miss, but everything else was very good so I'm rounding up to five stars. They have a very good sized cocktail and food menu, as well as many beers on tap. They also have happy hour specials. We would definitely return if we were in the area again.

He was funny, engaging, energetic and made the entire experience so much fun for everyone at the table even though it was just 5 of us. A shout-out to Tommy, the chef at the table across from us. He had us watching his show too! He was putting on an awesome performance and it definitely caught our attention. Santa Anita had some seriously entertaining chefs that night! One more thing that really stood out. The restaurant was spotless and the restrooms were incredibly clean. It's always nice to see a place that takes pride in every part of the guest experience. We usually go to the City of Industry location, but decided to switch things up and try Santa Anita. Thanks to Nathan, we're so glad we did! He truly made our dinner memorable. We ended up at Magnolia House for a late lunch/early dinner. They also serve breakfast/brunch only on weekends. Walked in around 4:30pm and we were greeted by Brian, one of the managers. Brian was the standout star of the whole experience! His energy was exceptional and he is such a great conversationalist. He checked on us several times throughout our meal and made sure we were doing well. He on his own was HANDS DOWN a five star human being. At first, he wanted to seat us in the back corner but I told him the table was too small and he accommodated us with a bigger table. Our server Kiana came up to the table with a pleasant smile and greeting to take our drink orders. I got a glass of cranberry juice along with some water. My son got the American Dream cocktail along with some water. We skipped on dessert. From 4-6pm, they have a happy hour menu with some of their cocktails and shareable plates. The portions are just a bit smaller and the prices are a little lower. It's a good way to sample different items. I think we got a good variety of food to enjoy. To start, we got the Little Gem Salad. It was such a unique combination of flavors and SUPER delicate/light. My son and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The next starter was the Zucchini and Feta Fritters, which was good but not the best out of everything else we ordered. The zucchini was a bit mushy but the batter it was fried in was crispy. Another starter we shared were the Moroccan Spiced Chicken Wings. These wings are gigantic and very flavorful. They definitely pack some heat, so be careful. I don't think the A/C was NOT working to begin with, so the place was already hot. The wings made us sweat even more. For entrées, we got the burger and the pork belly. Brian said they are known for their burger and after taking the first bite, it's clear as to why. It was absolutely PERFRCTION. So delicious! The bun, the meat, the cheese, the onions, and the crispy bacon...all of it mixed together into the perfect burger. I had wanted to add some mushrooms and avocado to it, but Kiana said they were unable to do it. I also asked for lettuce and she said that would be an extra charge. What extra charge for lettuce? We still got charged for avocado when the bill came, but they took it off once we mentioned it. The pork belly was also very tender, flavorful, and crispy. It's just hard to compete with the burger! We also got an order of the Belgian Fries to share and we were both pleasantly surprised at how good they were. The fries are salty and cut pretty thick. The sauce that came on the side was so yummy. We asked for a small extra cup to-go. All in all, the food was great and we liked everything. The vibe of the restaurant wasn't really all that for me. Brian genuinely made up for anything that was lacking in the atmosphere. He is such a wonderful asset to the restaurant and their company. The restaurant itself has been here for about 15 years now and it used to be a very old house. You can tell when you look around. They did a good job with the renovations, but you can see the different areas/rooms. I think they tried to keep the casual comfort of a home, while making it a slightly elevated experience. It was very clean everywhere, especially the bathrooms. They have one gender neutral bathroom, one for men, and one for women. No private parking, so you'll have to park on the street and put money in the kiosk. They also had an outdoor seating. Pretty BIG, only took picture of one side. They also have 2 small TVs. In the bar area and inside their cute lounge. I normally like to try new places, especially when I'm in Pasadena, so I'm not sure if I'll come back here. Maybe if Brian is working, it would definitely be worth stopping by again! Thank you all..

The service: Our server was friendly but inattentive and busy running about which I found odd as the restaurant seemed to be appropriately staffed. We never got our water jug refilled and we had to flag our waitress down for the check. The table next to us had to do the same. This was in stark contrast with the outdoor tables who were well taken care of, I could see this through the glass window front as we were seated at a bar. The wait time for food: I had read through the reviews before coming so I set my timer to see for myself. Our food was served in 45 minutes, not exactly ideal. I understand food takes time, but for such a busy restaurant the turn around was lengthy. I was not the only person to notice this. Many tables were looking around waiting for their food. Towards the end of our meal I heard a woman complaining to the staff about their wait. The food: I enjoyed my lasagna, the lemon ricotta was flavorful, I wish they had topped it with a bit less cheese as that was a bit overpowering but I personally liked it a lot 4.5/5. The chicken parm was decent but my partner was not so impressed, he said it's a 3/5. Parking can be found in the back lot behind the store fronts.
