I know this isn't their fault (only me to blame) but I got the boneless wings here because I was craving it for lunch, and it was probably the worst thing I've ever eaten. I waited probably 30 minutes and the chicken didn't even feel hot. It was literally just a chicken nugget coated in sauce, but not even a good nugget. Charley's Philly Cheesesteaks is located inside the Arcadia mall (whatever we're calling it these days) in the food court. I have been told about this place from a couple of friends of mine who have other locations in their cities and they swear by it. So I decided to give it a try. They were not wrong! Now whenever I'm out at a mall, I can know that Charleys will be a great place for sandwiches. Usually I'll get either a chicken Philly steak or a traditional cheesesteak. They are able to make your food fairly quick which is always a plus so you're not waiting too long. They have pretty good fries here too. Make sure to take advantage of the box of seasoning they have right on the counter so very able to get the best enhancement of your food. Large Philly Cheese Steak $12.49 Cheese & Bacon Fries w/ Regular Strawberry Lemonade + 5.98 1 combo meal total - $18.47 (without tax) Food- Philly cheese steak sandwich was pretty good. Although, it's not what you imagine when you get a Philly cheese steak. It comes with the meat and a bit of cheese, onions, lettuce, cut raw tomatoes, Mayo, and pickle slices on top. It's more of a typical sandwich but with not that much Philly cheese steak pieces. The flavor was pretty good but it was rather filling and we just shared one combo meal. However, I didn't particularly like the fries. They don't give you that much and the cheese is basically canned cheese (like imagine cafeteria school nacho cheese) + salty bacon pieces. I prefer a crispier bacon but the bacon was soft and you just knew it was frozen bacon. The ratio of bacon and cheese to fries wasn't enough and they don't give you that much for the order. Strawberry Lemonade was very typical but still tasty (a lil nostalgic for me haha) They just add normal lemonade with strawberry puree. Prices - I def think this meal is pricey. Fortunately, my fiance saw a sign that stated a $5 off if you download the app rewards so our total $14.85 for a combo meal, which was more reasonable. Overall, it was a decent meal. I gave my LO a lunch option & to try a place she is unfamiliar with, so I could expand her food horizons; she wanted either a burger or chicken strips. The snacks & drinks stands, formal sit-down restaurants were out as well as a couple of restaurants that she has already been to. We perused several menus & picked CPH because their kids menu captured her interest... chicken strips, fries, drink, & Oreo cookies; the cookies beat out the competition. My 1st instinct was to order a Philly cheesesteak but a promotion caught my eye: a $4.99 deal that comes with a Chicken Philly Sandwich & Fries. There were a couple of customers ahead of us. The cashier took 1 order & walked away. What?! He wasn't expediting an order or restocking, just walking back & forth like he was confused or lost. He did the same with the next customer & we had to wait again. :-| I was tempted to leave, but my LO was hungry & I noticed the food being cooked & prepped quickly so I waited for our turn. When he was ready, I was specific & direct, & requested my order repeated back to ensure its accuracy. Even though it was made-to-order, it only took a few minutes before our order was ready. The expediter was friendly, efficient, & thoughtful to inquire if I needed sauces or condiments for my meal. I didn't even think about getting any [for my LO's chicken strips] since my LO only uses ketchup, but I added banana peppers to my sandwich & ranch dressing for my fries. I've ordered here a handful of times and literally every time it has been terrible. The mall food court is pretty busy especially on weekends so wait times could vary (which I understand) but whether it is extremely busy or not at all the employees here seem to always have the worst attitude. One time I went and what I assume to be the cashier was talking to his coworker. I walked up (looking at the menu) and he glanced at me annoyed and then slowly walked to the register with his arms folded and looked at me grudgingly. Didn't say a word to me just looked at me mad dogging me lol. And so I said hi and he just stood there. SUPER WEIRD. Lol. I just ordered and he didn't say a word to me the whole time. I've never experienced that from a cashier at any store or restaurant! I wasn't rude or offended in the moment I was just confused but the afterward I was like, what the heck? I don't believe in being rude to people working in customer service/retail but I don't think I deserved his rudeness especially with theirs barely being anyone in the mall at the time. I ordered on DoorDash today and got a chicken California which comes with chicken, provolone, pickles, lettuce, tomato, and mayo. the bun wasn't toasted and there was only chicken, provolone, and mayo on it. When you spend $16 on a sandwich and fries, you'd expect a little better quality than this I believe. Amongst all the other interactions I've had with the staff, they all seem to hate their lives there. The customer service is always guaranteed to suck here and I think that results in bad quality food.
