Location loses stars because the AC is broken and it is HOT hot in there. Subway corporate - you need to fix that AC, it is so oppressively hot in there. Couldn't even eat my sandwich inside. It's hotter inside than it is outside - during a HEATWAVE in the SGV. This is a health issue! Take a long hard look at the way you are operating that location. Food taste is normal like every other subway. The problem with the location is they mess up a lot with the mobile order. So make sure to check your order before you leave. I clearly asked for orange juices but they gave me lemonade. It happened to me twice. I dislike olives and sometimes they put it by accident. Receipt shows a final cost of about $12 per sandwich bought on 8/29/2022. The sandwich itself was good. I was told that I can't use the application to pay, and therefore can't use my rewards. The rewards ended up expiring. I think the staff dose this because they can't ask you for a tip if you use the application to pay. Plenty of parking in the lot behind the store. read more

I went back and ordered the same: jalapeno bread with vegan patties, pepper jack cheese. The jalapeno just came out of oven, it was fresh. however, I still couldn't taste the freshness of the vegetables. It must be the vegan patties- no taste. This is absolutely the best Subway I have ever been to. Very clean and the food is always super fresh. But the best thing about this Subway is the service. It's always outstanding! Veronica is wonderful! She always greets me warmly when I enter and makes my sandwich really fast, which I appreciate since I'm usually on my lunch break. Brand new, only a few months old! This took over my childhood arcade, Action, and is located on the corner of 2nd & Duarte. It's HUGE for a Subway...and the employees are nice and everything is new and fresh. They are very generous with their portions as well. Their promotion of FebruAny is not actually any. It's a selected few. So what's the diff between this & any other month? And a big thanks to the staff for telling us AFTER the sandwiches are made and we're about to pay. I've been coming to this location when I want something that's somewhat healthier than fast food burgers. It used to be better; the food, the staff... everything. Last 2 visits, the staff just seem like they gave up. No one wants to smile or have a personality. Their "welcome to Subway" sounded like a corpse reading a cue card. And the chicken was bland and tough. Simply put, I'd avoid this place for a while. Hopefully if I return in the future, they have re-trained the staff (or hire an entire new one) and improved the taste. read more

I just had the worse experience at this store with the store manager. I asked to switch the ham for the turkey in the bmt but she refused o told her that she should ask if I'd like to pay extra for that change instead of refusing to change it. She stops helping the lady behind me and starts to micro manage the other worker and takes over the order. I told her I would pay extra for turkey she then picks up the turkey that was already on the sandwich and throws it back in the containers and puts ham on it. I told her that I would not accept the sandwich with the ham and to please accept my request for the change of meat she then realizes what she was doing and changes it. Once I get to the register I said an apology would be nice because I did not deserve that treatment her response was that I had an attitude with her and she won't apologize. I then speak to her in her language which was Spanish and said that I'm sorry if she is having a bad day and we all have bad days but bringing it into work as a manager isn't the best was to represent this restaurant. Exemplary customer service creating my Footlong toasted Herb & Cheese bread with Pepper Jack Cheese Veggie Delight; Mayonnaise and Honey Mustard, everything on it, no onions extra lettuce, oil and vinegar with pepper. Original rating: 2 Stars I placed an online order at 8 PM for pickup at 8:30 PM. I got to the store at 8:40, and I told the employee that I was there to pick up my online order. I had to repeat myself three times since she could not understand me. When she finally understood what I was saying, she got the printout of my order and started making my order right then and there. I was really annoyed because I made the online order so that my sandwich would be ready by the time I got there. There's no good explanation for my sandwich to have not been ready 10 minutes after I said I'd pick it up given that the store was empty at the time, and the other employee there was just playing on his phone. Also she forgot to wrap my sandwich in the plain white paper before wrapping it in the outer Subway wrapper. One plus is that the ingredients seemed fresh. --------------------------------------------- UPDATE (8/2/11): Bumped up to 3 Stars After complaining on their website last night, apparently the comments/complaints go directly to the store if you put the store address, and the store manager called me to apologize for my poor experience. She explained that they were still training people and that she would retrain the employees. As for the white wrapper, apparently it's a new Subway thing to not include the white wrapper. I'm assuming this is to cut costs since we're in one hell of a recession. She told me that I can still request to have the white wrapper included, but it will not normally be included with the sandwich. She also offered to give me 2 free 6" sandwiches. That's probably the fastest response I have ever gotten from a restaurant to alleviate any terrible experiences. I am very satisfied with their quick response to complaints and will likely return to this Subway. I can't say I'm a fan yet, but it's definitely A-OK now in my book. read more

Sometimes I come here before work to grab something healthier and more affordable than most of the choices around. The girls who work there whom I've interacted with or watched interact with other customers are absolutely terrific. They pack in the sandwiches over the brim, they keep counters and the environment clean, and they are friendly despite being tired--the service industry is exhausting. This is exacerbated by incompetent management which I am guessing they have to go through constantly if my recent visit was any indication. I went into Subway knowing what I wanted and a sweet, elderly, swarthy man who I can only assume is the manager comes to the counter to greet me. He takes my order and throws an entire bread away and, with great delay, puts everything I asked for one by one. Not only was he extremely slow, but he was also extremely stingy. Lettuce and spinach were peppered lightly, 3 cucumbers and 3 tomatoes stacked on top of one another, dotted condiments...it was a whole other level of stinginess. I could count the amount of lettuce and spinach he gave me with my fingers and toes--it was so little! Not a sandwich for an adult. Thank goodness the cashier asked him for help with the register. They swapped places and she packed my sandwiches in over the brim. It was so filled, it ripped through the paper! I love her! The manager needs to think: "If I were a customer and I wanted a sandwich, how would I want my sandwich to be? 3 cucumbers or 10?" Learn from your employees, change your attitude, or risk losing customers. All my stars go to the employees and I docked one for awful management because, if that's how he treats his customers, I can only imagine how he treats his employees. read more

Nice and cozy small place. Never seen subway in such a small complex along side with $ shop. Service and food are great. My little one enjoyed a free cookie. When I visited last time, it was crowded. I think their space is too narrow. They need to have more employees at the peak time. Wait time was longer than I expected. Overall, it is pretty good :-) read more

If you ask me, what are the perks to eating at the ever so pedestrian friendly subway, I can probably list you a dozen reasons. If you ask, why in Arcadia, well ... then there's a dozen more on top of the existing 12. First, it's dirt cheap.. and getting cheaper with their promotions- $25 bucks for gift card and get 1 free sandwich. Second, the olives in Arcadia are visibly fresher and much cleaner than the one in.. el monte, or hacienda- prolly since they just opened. ninth, the one in Arcadia gives you mint (since this is such a big plus, I thought I should skip the ones from the third to eight). That's right, actual candy to satiate your appetite for some adrenaline pumping sugar rush that you've craving for the past few days. twelfth, there's Lollicup right about the corner for those stormy days where you'd just wanna crawl up, read manga/magazine/tabloids, surf the internet, all on their oh-so inviting vanilla couch. You can sip on your HOT jasmine milk tea while munching down that bundle of goodiness that you got from Subway. Sure, you might get a few stares or two, but that's nothing compared to fighting off the cold with a hunk of lovely scrumptiousness. Moreover, you can rent a movie afterwards in the shop next to Subway for some late night entertainment. So what are you waiting for? read more

I just came here this morning to get a refill of a drink and the lady this morning flat out said they don't do refills and I must buy a new drink cup to get a refill (woth an attitude I must add). I told her that I have done this at other subways for $1.10 and all she could say was, ok! Please Subway, help educate the staff because it was a simple transaction. I placed an online order that had a mistake...as directed I called the place over 15x before Aydette, who says she is the Mgr, rudely answered the phone and refused to fix the problem. I ended up disputing the charge on the card. As a result of this I WILL NEVER BUY A DAMM THING FROM THIS PLACE AGAIN!!! When reading other reviews it appears she does this regularly. My guess.. she is a relative of the owner and probably knows she won't be fired.. well she lost my business and I will be sure to tell everyone I know in the neighborhood what a rude woman she is with lousy service!!! This is Subway! If you don't know how Subway works then... you've been living under a rock. Anyways, there are three things that make this place my go to Subway among the other many Subways elsewhere: 1. Service, 2. Quality/Freshness of Veggies, 3. Student Special! 1. Service These people are always smiling and genuinely willing to help you pick out a sandwich. If you ask for extra anything they pile it on nice and plenty. There hasn't been a time where I disliked any of the people who prepared my food! 2. Quality/Freshness of Veggies The quality of the veggies and even the meat looks good. The spinach and lettuce have never appeared to be droopy. The cucumbers are crunchy and pretty fresh tasting. 3. Student Special I mentioned this in my tip, but buy any sandwich and show your student ID! You'll get two free cookies. I recommend the double chocolate chip. For my last meal on earth a couple of those cookies would have to compliment the meal in some way! read more

Good sandwiches, you can customize your own sandwiches like any other Subway. Space inside is a bit small, and can get a bit crowded in the afternoon when all the kids get off from school. Parking space can't be easier to find, there's a huge lot west of it next to the 99c(which is also handy). Daily specials all taste good, which is nice because normally the sandwiches are kinda pricey(~10 bucks per footlong). Tip: eat the meatball sandwich quickly because the wrapper gets soaked quickly and will start dripping in a few minutes if you don't. read more
