Tried out Jim's for their breakfast burritos! We ordered a steak & egg burrito and a pastrami and egg burrito. Both were equally amazing and so filling!! We had the option of adding onions and cilantro in our burritos as well as hashbrowns! They add in salsa and that just makes the burritos so much more flavorful!! Today was my second time visiting and my last. The first time I tried this place was also unsatisfactory but I wanted to give a second shot before leaving a review. I ordered 2 burritos on their website; 1 Jim's breakfast burrito and 1 carne asada combo burrito. The breakfast burrito tasted like it was cooked on a blacktop that was not properly cleaned therefore all ingredients tasted burnt and overpowering. For those ordering for the first time, the BF burritos do not come with onions, cilantro, and salsa. So if you order on their website, make sure to check mark that you want these ingredients. What is very confusing though is that the website has an option to remove the cilantro, onions, and salsa making some assume it would automatically with the order. The carne asada combo burrito DOES state that it includes beans, onions, cilantro, and salsa when ordering on their website. However I only got beans with my asada in the burrito. Very bland which could have been compensated by salsa on the side but I was only given 1 to share across both burritos. The meat was not bad and this burrito did not taste burnt like the other one I ordered. I'm not saying I am a big tipper but I did put 10% for this to-go order and asked for salsa on the side. If I get 1 salsa to share for 2 burritos then that's too cheap. The order came with free fries on their website when ordering more than $20 in your order. The fries which were soggy and not salted. I think this promotion is a great attraction for return customers but when considering that the food tasted burnt or bland, my order was not correct, and you provided 1 salsa for 2 burritos, I will not return for a 3rd visit unfortunately. read more

Did Jims get a new owner or something? I haven't eaten here in a couple years. I was in the area and was craving some chili cheese fries. When I got there, it seemed a little different. Didn't recognize any workers and they have changed their advertising signs. I figured it has been a couple years, I guess I missed the changing. The 1st thing I noticed is how expensive they are now!! Wow are they proud of their food to be charging this much. I ordered a small chili cheese fries because they want $12 for the large, insane!!! After I got my order I looked at it. The fries were really under done, the chili looked the same and there were maybe 15-20 little shreds of cheese on top, nothing worth what they charge for their food!! After I took my 1st bite and looked around at how empty it was @12:45pm for lunch. It hit me why it was so empty. The chili cheese fries were garbage!!! The chili was almost watery and had zero flavor, it seriously tasted like it was watered down at some point. The fries under cooked and basically no cheese. Sorry I missed this place going down hill. We came here maybe 20 minutes before they closed, but they had a good amount of people in there and customer service was friendly enough. We got the double bacon cheeseburger with some fries and a "small" order of onion rings. It was a massive amount of food and more than enough for 3 people to share (we weren't super hungry, but definitely overestimated how much food there was). i love the avocado cheeseburger and zucchini fries here. I really love how they mix the lettuce with their sauce so each bite is slightly sweet in the burger instead of the sauce by itself. I used to always get the chili cheese fries when I was younger, but my age is catching up to me and it is starting to give me heartburn =(. they give huge portions of the fries so always ask for small size because it always fills up the whollle bag. =) Parking is ample. there is a restroom on site. people are always flowing in and out of this place. I hate to leave bad reviews, but the ham and cheese sandwich that I had from Jim's tonight was one of the worst things I have ever eaten!!! I just moved into the area and I enjoyed this hole in the wall restaurant. The 1/4 lb. burger and fried zucchini were hot and delicious. Good flavor on the meat and the veggie toppings were fresh. I honestly came here for the fried zucchini because that's what I was craving for. This did not disappoint. Looking to see if there's another place nearby that can compare but so far nothing. The line here can get long though especially during lunch time and after school. Great place in Monrovia for an old school burger. Jim's you need to do better. I've been inside of Jim's about 10 times and 9/10 times the staff ignores you while they talk and laugh, and if you need to order something just know you are inconveniencing them. There's 2 order here tablets so I thought I guess I have to use this to order (after I stood there for about 2 minutes being ignored) then a couple walk in and approach the counter where I was just standing and the lady who i think "works" there asks them how she can help them takes their order while I'm still figuring out the order here tablet... also this lady hates her job and it shows. People really should understand how much of customer service goes into working really in most jobs, and if you hate people and hate being courteous maybe don't work in the service or food industry. One time one of the cooks just stared at me while I waited for my order, very awkward so I asked him if my food is ready? Trying to figure out why he was staring at me and he ignored me, just kept staring. And then I ALWAYS PAY FOR EXTRA chili on the chili cheese fries and I do this because they never put enough chili and usually paying for extra makes it a sufficient amount but this time even extra isn't enough chili, see photo below. TLDR the fries are good, the service sucks, they will ignore you and talk and laugh with each other, the order tablets suck, they don't use enough chili and aren't friendly at all like not even saying have a good day or thanks and when you say it you get ignored and leave feeling crappy. But the fries are good, could use a little more salt, breakfast plates good too. read more
