We can for the Omurice and is very pleased with the fluffy omelette over rice and the visual slicing open at the table side to spill over the rice. However the pork we prefer the traditional tonkatsu. The spicy ramen is very flavorful, rich, and well seasoned, the pork belly is also very tender. Compare to other ramen soup, Kyu Ramen isn't as salty, but just right. We came here twice on a weekend after 1pm and got seated pretty quickly. The food came out really fast as well. All the food we ordered are tasty and presentable.

Ramen noodles, TBaar, and Anime? Hell yes! We loved this noodle bar. The decor was amazing! We had four different noodles and the lemonade. The food was really good. Happy Yelping!

Zenless Zone Zero Collab Acrylic Standee ran out on the first day.

We came here on the second day of the Zenless Zone Zero collab. After waiting 20 minutes for our seats, we were disappointed to find out that all the collab acrylic standees were gone on the first day! This collab was poorly planned. Why bother having a one-month long collab when your merch ran out on the first day? At the very least, they should post an update at their door and on Instagram so we wouldn't have wasted our time driving all the way there and waiting! We enjoyed their food previously, but sorry - we lost our appetite and walked out this time.

Pork Tonkatsu Omurice - Demi Glazed Sauce
    Anna W.

The ramen was alright, but it didn't come with much broth, so the noodles ended up lacking broth about halfway through the meal. The broth also wasn't very hot, it was only slightly warm. The omurice was good, but I wish it came with more curry and demi-glace sauce. The Amazing Lemonade was delicious, though I wish the menu mentioned that it contains cucumber. That could be misleading for people who don't like the flavor of cucumber. The interior is beautiful, with each space uniquely designed and thoughtfully decorated. The service was good, and each table has a call button to easily get the servers' attention.

Pork Tonkatsu Omurice - WORTH IT AND LOVE IT!!!

First things first, I went here with my friends a while ago and we ordered two orders of the omurice with crispy pork tonkatsu. I love it so much I went with a friend here yesterday and ordered the same thing. The omurice is always perfect and the server knows that people would want to take a video of it so he gave us a heads up to take a video when we're ready. My order came with a choice of Thai tea or lemonade and I chose the lemonade. It was great for a hot day as it is very refreshing. My friend ordered the yin-yang ramen, half of the pork broth, and half of the spicy broth. He also ordered the peach tea with cold foam and mango stars. The mango stars is sooo cute!!! We also started with the honeycomb starter appetizer. Everything is delicious! I didn't get to try the noodles but he really enjoyed it. I tried the broth and it's sooo good. Both the noodles and omurice is worth going back for. Ambiance of the place is cool. It feels like you flew to Japan when you enter the place. I love the "tree of letters"!! It's looks sooo cool. They also have booths behind the bamboo wall, if you want a more private setting. Service is great, they check on you from time to time and they have a door bell thing that you can press on the side of the table if you need anything. If you want to go here on a date or just a regular lunch or dinner setting. I advise you go on a weekday bc they didn't have a line when we got there. We got seated right away on a Tuesday lunch time.

Service is nice and ambiance is cute but the food is average. We got the omurice pork katsu combo, a shoyu ramen combo with the pork bun, and the crispy wings. Omurice was probably the best thing we've ordered. The egg was cooked perfectly and the sauce was good but the rice was sad. It was just fried white rice. The pork in the bun wasn't tender. The crispy wings was crispy but had a weird flavor. The ramen was just average.

COVID-19: Social distancing is not enforced at this establishment. Some of the staff wears a mask. All customers are not expected to wear a mask. It's optional now. The staff also wears gloves when handling food. There are some hand sanitizers available for customers to use. This place is available for take outs and has some indoor & outdoor seating available with limited capacity. They are not sanitizing in between customers. I mention these things in my reviews for the sake of protecting immunocompromised people like the elderly and people sick with cancer and other illnesses. COVID-19 Vaccination Proof: This establishment currently does not require proof of vaccination. While I was eating my food in this establishment several months ago, I asked if they had any special offers and they weren't offering any at the moment. They currently don't have happy hour. They also do not allow pets in their establishment UNLESS it's a service animal. Parking: The parking lot for this establishment is decent. During peak business hours, you might struggle to find parking, so come early! Each parking spot is a decent size. Not too wide nor too narrow. Food: I ordered the Tokyo tonkotsu shouyu ramen with white garlic and fresh passion fruit tea with rainbow jelly with 25% ice and 25% sweetness. I like that we can customize the sweetness and ice level. Although my drink was supposed to be 25% sweet, it still felt a bit too sweet to me TBH. Thankfully, I just mixed it with water to dilute it. The rainbow jellies were super soft and flavorful. People who know me know that I ABSOLUTELY LOVE ramen. I'm a ramen aficionado. Lol The Tokyo tonkotsu shouyu ramen with white garlic ramen contains their signature pork-broth bowl featuring chashu pork, bamboo shoots, wakame, half a marinated egg, nori, corn, and scallion. The thinly sliced chashu pork was tender and juicy. The soft-boiled egg was marinated in a sweet and salty soy-based sauce. Loved the perfectly jammy yolks and deep umami flavor. The bamboo shoots, wakame, nori, corn, and scallion all enhanced the flavor of this dish. The shining star of this dish was obviously the broth. This dish contains a rich and creamy pork bone broth seasoned with umami-packed soy sauce. The white garlic adds a signature sweet, pungent, and toasty aroma that perfectly cuts through the heavy fat of the broth. The ramen was cooked perfectly al dente. Would definitely order this again. Staff: The staff here are very attentive, friendly, and helpful. They accept both cash and credit cards. There is no credit card minimum.

Came to visit friends in Arcadia, and for dinner we decided to try this ramen spot in Arcadia that opened last year. The first thing we noticed when walking in was TBaar, a boba tea shop. The ramen restaurant is located right next door inside the same space. What surprised me was that their menu includes Taiwanese-style gua bao and popcorn chicken! It feels like an Asian fusion concept created with the American market in mind. This is currently their only location in California, with another location in Las Vegas. Most of their other locations are on the East Coast and in Illinois. The interior is definitely unique, with large lanterns, archways, honeycomb-style seating, individual dining areas, and lots of decorative details throughout the space. Luckily, we arrived before 6 PM and got seated right away. Not long after we sat down, a crowd started coming in and there was already a line forming. After looking through the menu for a while, we decided to order: #1 Tokyo Tonkotsu Shoyu Ramen (Black Garlic) $17.99 (They mentioned this one has sold over 500,000 bowls nationwide.) My husband ordered this one and tried all the broths. He thought this had the best flavor overall. #2 Braised Pork Belly Ramen $18.99 (This was one of their featured menu items in 2024.) This was my choice. The noodles were generous, and the pork belly was so dark in color that it almost looked like beef. We actually had to double-check that it was pork! #3 Mega Ramen (Tempura) $19.99 The garlic flavor was quite strong in this broth. #6 Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen $18.99 (This is one of their most popular choices in New York.) It does have a noticeable level of spice, so if you can only handle a little heat, this one might not be the best choice. Side dishes: Gua Bao (2 pcs) $9.49 Popcorn Chicken (3 orders) $26.97 Pan-fried Dumplings $8.99 Japanese Fries (2 orders) $15.98 Strawberry Banana Smoothie $6 One fun detail: the bottom of each ramen bowl has a message showing either a prize or a "thank you for visiting." Out of our four bowls, one came with a dessert coupon, but it can only be used on a future visit. Overall, the ramen was pretty good and the presentation was fun. The only downside was that my mouth felt quite dry afterward, probably because the broth was on the heavier side. Kyuramen x TBaar - Arcadia 7 Las Tunas Dr Suite B, Arcadia, CA 91007

Definitely as cool looking as the pictures make this place look. The service was quick and attentive. I was surprised at how many servers there were on the floor. The menu is fairly large with lots of ramen and non ramen options. Food came out quickly. I got the katsuobushi pork ramen and it was very salty. My husband and kids got a the chicken and to tonkatsu ramen and theirs were much more balanced. The appetizers were really good. We got the Japanese French fries, purple sweet potato fries, and agedashi tofu. I also like the variety of spices at each table. By 7pm on a Saturday night, the place was pretty full. Parking was easy, but the plaza isn't fully occupied with tenants yet. Overall, would recommend and come back to try other items.

Another dinner with my daughter. Kyuramen x TBaar has a modern Japanese-inspired interior, bamboo details, and lantern-style lighting. I enjoyed the beehive-style seating. It gives each table a little more privacy, making it a great place for date night. Or, in our case... another mommy-and-me date night. I was a little disappointed they didn't serve hot tea as I always order a hot cup of tea with my meal. We ordered two A1 Classic Combos ($24.99 each). Each combo came with a bowl of Tokyo Tonkotsu Shoyu Ramen, a steamed pork bao bun, and matcha pudding with red bean. Tokyo Tonkotsu Shoyu Ramen The broth was rich and creamy. Overall, the ramen was okay. Steamed Pork Bao Bun The bun was soft and fluffy, and the pork was tender. It was the best part of the meal. Matcha Pudding with Red Bean Neither my daughter nor I liked this dessert. It would be a great addition if we had choices for the dessert. The service could improve. Aside from bringing out our food, there wasn't much interaction with the staff.

This is my to go to place to get Omurice because they do it so well! The egg is still runny. The rice and sauce are so good with the egg and tonkatsu . The service is great and a really cute layout of the restaurant. We've order ramen and other items as well and they are pretty solid.

Kyu, as in Japanese for 9. Ramen, as in Japanese for ramen. Honestly I've tried pretty much everything here, and the omu rice with curry is the thing that puts this place on the map. The ramen isn't better than Ramen Nagi, not better than Daikoluya, not better than Shinsengumi, and the list goes on. The skewers are thick, dry, tough, tasteless. The rice burger becomes a sloppy mess. The omu rice though? That is on point! Omu rice (5/5) Perfectly prepped football shaped gooey omelette that bleeds over your fried rice when cut, paired with probably Vermont brand curry sauce. Like, even if it was store bought instant curry, the biggest thing about this, is the egg. If you ever tried to make Omurice yourself, you'll gain a full and proper appreciation of this dish. Egg, fried rice, curry, that's all there is to this, but... Getting that liquidty gooey-ness, I've had a hard time finding it anywhere else, and for that reason, this place gets 5/5. I'd caution my readers to level set their expectations for everything else, and also take note of just how many people have Omurice on their tables, if you don't have at least that, you're doing it wrong. I hope you guys enjoy this place as much as I did!

This place is so cute and perfect for lunch and dinner! I ended up getting the pork tonkotsu omurice and it was delicious! The service was really great too, our waiter was so friendly and we were checked on often. If you get ramen, you have a chance at winning something on the next visit if you finish because it'll have a message on the bottom of the bowl. Can't recommend this place enough and excited to go back!

Is the broth supposed to have a bitter taste to it? I found that strange which made me not want to drink the soup.

It could be when the broth is so rich because ramen broth is boiled for so many hours. My friend asks the same question when we dine in, but I try her bowl and don't feel the way that l that she tastes. Maybe I love rich broth? I have tried couple…

Do they serve plain rice for a side?

    I believe you can.

Does the ramen pork broth or katsu contain any dairy or peanut oil?

There wasn't any dairy but you should call the restaurant and ask about the peanut oil. Businesses do not check the Yelp page so they may not even see your questions.

Apple app said pet friendly, is dog allowed?

Why do you want to bring your pet into a restaurant? Leave the pets at home!!

    Do u have waitlist?

The restaurant does have wait list, and you will be contacted by text message.

    Do they take reservation?

They only take reservations for party of 8 of more. And you can only put your name on waitlist at the store, they don't allow to call in or online waitlist - which is super inconvenient and really out of today's Digital Touch.

Is this a real Japanese restaurant?

Does this place accommodate a party of 1? I know there are some restaurants out there that don't accept parties of 1.

Yes it does I saw a few single people

Do they serve omurice? I saw videos of omurice here on TikTok but don't see it on their menu.

Yes, they do serve omurice! There are two options, Classic Japanese Omurice Combo or Pork Tonkatsu Omurice Combo both with choice of curry or demiglace sauce.

Order a regular bowl of ramen if you do not plan to dip the brothless noodles into the broth for each bite. BF and I both tried the spicy tuna bowl ($7.95), chashu bowl ($8.95), and tonkotsu ramen ($15.95). The bowls are a little smaller than the ramen bowls and are a great option if you want a light meal without feeling super full. The tonkotsu ramen had a slightly rich broth that was flavorful and a decent portion of noodles. We opted not to order the ramen with the egg since we were also trying the rice bowls. The three items were more than enough for the two of us and a good variety of food. Parking here is horrible at the street level, so head downstairs for the two levels of underground parking.

I originally came in excited to try the Tokyo-Styled Loaded Chashu Pork, but unfortunately it was sold out. Luckily, the Curry Nikutama turned out to be a pretty delicious backup choice. The udon noodles are made fresh in-store and have that satisfying chewy texture you'd hope for from a good bowl of udon. The beef was tender, the curry had a fragrant savory depth, and the soft-boiled egg added a nice richness and creaminess that tied everything together. One of my favorite parts was the condiment station -- being able to add fresh cilantro, green onions, ginger, togarashi, lime, and other toppings lets you really personalize the flavors and brighten up the bowl. My only minor notes: the curry leaned a little saltier than my personal preference, so a lighter touch on the seasoning would make it even more balanced. Also, during my visit there were quite a few flies around the dining area, which may have just been a seasonal issue, but it did take away a bit from the overall experience. Overall, still a satisfying bowl of udon with fresh noodles, comforting flavors, and a fun customization experience. I'd definitely come back to try the chashu pork when it's back in stock!

I liked the crunchy texture of the bread for the Chinese burger. It's on the spicier side. The braised beef noodle soup and sautéed vegetables were my favorite.
