    Kai's White Ramen

It probably should had been a red flag that this ramen place was pretty empty and that there was not much of a line. I didn't have to wait for seating during peak dinner time and I was basically immediately seated. The menu is all on a QR code and there is a few options. It's not a build your own ramen per se since a lot of these are preconfigured. They do have extra toppings but bamboo is not an option. The ramen itself was not bad in terms of flavor but I would say the portion size is a bit small for the price. I could probably eat 2 in 1 sitting honestly. The interior of this place is not bad, lots of Naruto posters and pictures around to set the theme. They don't play it on TV though. Service isn't much since they give you the entire bottle of water to refill your own cup. The only thing they do for you is bring out your food or get you a napkin. Overall just okay, small portion, high cost, no bamboo as a topping, and just okay flavor. I would say there are better ramen shops but this would do in a pinch.

This is the best ramen I've had!!! It actually makes me mad because it's far from my house. I was soo surprised with how much I liked it. I ordered Kai's white ramen. Soooo good. I have tried dozens of ramen spots. This is now my #1. Try this place out, you won't regret it. The broth was yummy and the noodles were super fresh. Can't wait to go back !!

This elite rated-ramen is not over-hyped, and is great for a quick, cozy, and comfortable experience. The wait time is pretty fast, and the food comes out within 5-12 min, which is great for authentic, quick, yummy ramen! The broth is very smooth and traditional, with chewy, soft noodles and yummy add-ons. All in all, I hope to come back to this place in the future to this cozy great place!

Came in on a Tuesday evening, not too crowded and the waiter was very attentive. Takoyaki 8pc - yum! Would order again Black ramen - more pork flavored soup and not as garlicky White ramen - very garlicky and creamier. A award winning for a reason! Red ramen- nice spice to it I like the ramen flavors in this order : white , black, red. Bathroom is very clean and plenty of parking. They were very attentive with us especially with our daughter. Great experience and would def come back!

Was craving ramen and found this spot. So let's see if they're pretty good eh or ew. I got their takoyaki, handmade gyoza, dipping ramen, and award winning white ramen to try. The takoyaki had a lightly crisp exterior, savory gooey interior, and tender piece of octopus. The gyoza reminded me of the dumplings my grandma used to order and had a thin wrapping and savory pork filling. Would be nice if they were a bit crispier tho. The dipping ramen came with a jammy egg, fatty pork belly, thinly sliced onions, and springy thin noodles that kinda got stuck to each other that made them hard to dip into the thick, rich gravy that came with it. The white ramen came with crunchy wood ear mushrooms, half a soft boiled egg, tender pork belly, and thin noodles that surprisingly didn't get mushy but soaked up that flavorful, addicting, rich, garlicky broth. But overall this place eh. Takoyaki $12 Gyoza $14 Dipping ramen $18 White ramen $17.50

We got: Kai Black and Kai White Ramen Gyoza Potstickers Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice Thai Tea & Ramune Anime lovers in the SGV got to check out this spot! Kai Ramen serves up some of the most savory, comforting bowls of ramen, packed with rich broth and perfectly cooked noodles. The Kai Black had a deep, bold flavor from the black garlic oil while the Kai White was super light and creamy. The braised chashu meat was soo juicy too! Both ramens hit the spot! The gyoza were crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, and the spicy tuna crispy rice had the perfect crunch with just the right level of spice. Everything paired well with a sweet Thai tea and classic Ramune soda. The whole vibe is a must-see too! Naruto-themed decor everywhere that makes it feel fun and nostalgic. Kai Ramen is definitely a must try if you're craving delicious ramen and a cute anime-inspired dining experience!

Came here recently for lunch with my brother and after reading a few reviews we felt pretty positive about this place. We got there a little bit after opening and were seated right away. The inside is very colorful with naruto painting all over the wall. We both got a thai tea for starters and then got the sesame chicken for app. I got the dipping ramen, which was okay. It was pretty salty though. My brother said his cheesy spicy ramen was okay, nothing too special. This parking lot can get horrible though so keep that in mind if youre coming at a peak time.

Anime lover? Cute spot lover? Great deal lover? Ramen lover? Japanese food lover? Calling you all! Entering Kai Ramen feels like being surrounded by anime murals. I also love their current weekday lunch deal -- get a free drink or selected appetizer with your ramen or rice bowl. Recommendations: White Ramen (love the rich broth), Unagi Bowl (thick unagi), and Fried Soft Shell Crab -- a very unique and crispy appetizer that pairs perfectly with your noodles or rice. My partner recommended this spot as a dinner option on a rainy weekday. Parking was easy in a sizeable lot. Interior is pretty standard for a Ramen shop, moderate amount of tables and cool points for having Naruto decorations on the wall. As this occasion wasn't too busy, we were able to sift through the menu (through QR code) and we found plenty of menu options that were labeled: "Award Winning" so we had to try it. My partner and I both respectively got the Kai Black and Kai White ramen bowls. The Kai White is the awarding winning ramen and certainly wasn't disappointed. One part that is underrated is the kikurage in the bowl. The pork belly is delicious and not too salty, and the egg is a nice touch to the bowl. I'd say though, the skinny noodles is pretty unique from your usual ramen bowl. Usually, the noodles aren't as skinny as the ones here but it was still quite delicious. Our ramen bowls came out fairly quick and as soon as we received it, the aroma was already flowing through. Presentation and portions are pretty standard, very much Japanese vibes. Love it overall. Overall, a decent Ramen spot. Definitely returning in the future to try the other dishes on their sizeable menu. Plenty of options besides ramen like Tsukemen and Mazesoba to try. My interest goes to the Kai Yellow, very intrigued by that dish and will be my next order whenever I visit again.

Came on a random, rainy Monday for dinner. Easy parking and no wait time. I got the tsukemen ramen with takoyaki as an appetizer. Everything was tasty and they had some good combo options that made it feel more affordable. Not bad for a random weeknight meal.

Kyuramen x TBaar brings together a Japanese-inspired ramen restaurant and bubble tea café under one…read moreroof, offering a menu that extends well beyond ramen. We walked into a space that stands out for its modern interior, featuring private wooden booth seating that creates a cozy, semi-private dining experience, the kind of setup that makes the meal feel more intimate than a typical ramen shop. The atmosphere feels contemporary and social, with a clean, thoughtfully designed layout that works well for both casual dinners and group outings, and the attached TBaar makes it easy to finish the meal with a specialty tea or dessert without leaving the restaurant. While ramen is the restaurant's signature, many of the menu's standout dishes are actually found elsewhere. The omurice is one of the most popular items, served with a fluffy egg and rich demi-glace or curry sauce that makes it one of the restaurant's signature comfort dishes, and the presentation, with the egg split open at the table, adds a theatrical element to the meal. Other highlights include yakitori, bao buns, katsu, takoyaki, and appetizers that give the menu plenty of variety. The ramen itself is solid, with options ranging from traditional tonkotsu to the Yin Yang Ramen that lets you sample both spicy and non-spicy broths in one bowl, though the quality of the ramen can feel less memorable than some of the restaurant's other specialties, the broth lacking the depth and complexity that defines a dedicated ramen shop. The attached TBaar also adds another layer to the experience with milk teas, fruit teas, and desserts that pair well with the meal. Matcha tiramisu, Japanese cherry blossom jelly, and other sweets help round out the menu, making it easy to stay for dessert instead of stopping somewhere else afterward, and the drinks are well prepared, with the tea flavors coming through clearly without being overly sweet. The restaurant's design is one of its biggest strengths. The wooden booths provide a semi-private dining experience, and the overall space feels clean, modern, and thoughtfully designed, creating an environment that encourages lingering over a meal rather than rushing through it. Service is generally friendly and welcoming, though it can slow down during busier periods as the restaurant fills up, with the team handling the steady flow but sometimes taking longer to check in when the dining room is at capacity. The overall experience remains positive, and the pace of the meal stays comfortable even when the service stretches. Kyuramen x TBaar offers more than just ramen. The inviting atmosphere, diverse menu, and combination of savory dishes, drinks, and desserts make it a well-rounded dining destination. While the ramen may not be the strongest reason to visit compared to some dedicated ramen shops, the omurice, appetizers, desserts, and unique dining experience make it a place worth trying, especially if you are looking for variety rather than focusing on a single dish. The balance of creativity, comfort, and a polished setting makes it a versatile option for a meal that feels more like an experience than a quick stop.

We ordered Okinawa soba and miso ramen. For $15 each, it seems like a decent price. We like the broths here. It's rich and deep without a layer of fat on top like most of the ramen shops. The noodles are firm with a nice bite to it. I especially like the Okinawa soba because it uses thicker noodles. The meat is tender and has a sweet flavor to it. If I had to nitpick, they don't have the Okinawa chili vinegar to go with the soba. It's a small shop. The walls are sprayed painted to look like a Japanese night time izakaya vibe. We will definitely come back more often.

The mazesoba was a bit on the salty side, but it wasn't something that bothered me. The seaweed and fish powder added extra depth and helped give the bowl more variety, while the green onions added a nice texture and freshness. Menya Hanabi is a Japanese noodle shop specializing in Nagoya-style mazesoba, a type of soupless…read moreramen that focuses on mixing noodles with flavorful toppings instead of relying on a traditional broth. We walked into a casual ramen shop atmosphere, the kind of place that works well for a quick and satisfying meal rather than a long dining experience. The space is functional and focused, with a menu centered around different variations of mazesoba along with a few sides and drinks. The main reason to visit is the mazesoba, and it delivers a completely different experience from typical ramen. The noodles have a chewy texture and are meant to be mixed thoroughly with the toppings, sauce, and egg yolk to bring everything together. We tried the Nagoya-style combination of spicy minced pork, green onions, seaweed, garlic, and other toppings, and found the bowl rich and layered, with each bite getting better as everything blended together. The deluxe versions add more toppings and make the dish feel more complete, while the spice level can be adjusted depending on how much heat you prefer. The richness of the sauce and toppings is balanced by the brightness of the egg yolk and the crunch of the onions, keeping the dish from feeling one-dimensional. The restaurant also offers options like takoyaki and matcha drinks, which add variety to the meal. The matcha latte is a nice contrast to the heavier noodle dishes, while the sides work well for sharing or adding something extra to the table. Since mazesoba is naturally a heavier dish, the balance of toppings and textures helps keep the meal from feeling too rich, and the sides offer a lighter counterpoint. Service is quick and the experience moves efficiently, which fits the casual style of the restaurant. Menya Hanabi can get crowded during busy hours, and waits are possible, but the focused menu and flavorful bowls make it worth adding to a noodle rotation. It is a great spot if you want to try something different from traditional ramen, delivering a meal that feels both intentional and satisfying, with a concept that is simple but executed in a way that makes the noodles stand out.

Loved it so much I could have a whole bowl Tsukemen: $22.45. 5/5Stars - If you aren't familiar with this, the broth is separate from the noodles. Its a different way of experiencing noodles. The broth is thick, creamy and flavor profile is on point. Inside of the broth there is mushrooms and pcs of pork. The noodles are cooked perfectly and also comes with pcs of nori, soft boiled jammy eggs and 4 pcs of thick chashu. Portion size lets just say they are generous and we all can EAT ^^, Kakigori (MATCHA) $8/$14. 5/5 Stars - Definite MUST! Its made with Japanese shaved ice, a very creamy soft cream matcha sauce and matcha powder! I cant tell you how good this dessert is. The wife is obsessed and one if the main reasons why we found this spot in the first place. Please try! Service: - Super friendly staff! They are quick to get our order and serve our meal. I asked for more limes for my noodles 2x and both times they were quick. Made us feel very welcomed and checked in on us on a regular, which also reminded us of the service Japan showed us once upon a time. Overall: We love this place and we keep coming back with new people to share this type of noodle experience. Check them out im sure you will enjoy it. Lets just say we drove an hour to eat this. You def will not be disappointed :)

I had a weekend dinner at Tsujita LA Artisan Noodle with our group of four back in March 2025. The…read moreother two ordered tsukemen ($26.50 for the spicy deluxe and $23.50 for the spicy chasu) and found it very salty because they chose to consume it not by dipping the noodles in the bowl of broth, but rather by pouring all the broth from the bowl into the noodles, trying to recreate a normal bowl of ramen. I can't speak for them, but I will say, if you order the tsukemen and find that you want more dipping broth, that will be an extra charge. Order a regular bowl of ramen if you do not plan to dip the brothless noodles into the broth for each bite. BF and I both tried the spicy tuna bowl ($7.95), chashu bowl ($8.95), and tonkotsu ramen ($15.95). The bowls are a little smaller than the ramen bowls and are a great option if you want a light meal without feeling super full. The tonkotsu ramen had a slightly rich broth that was flavorful and a decent portion of noodles. We opted not to order the ramen with the egg since we were also trying the rice bowls. The three items were more than enough for the two of us and a good variety of food. Parking here is horrible at the street level, so head downstairs for the two levels of underground parking.

We love that they do weekend lunch special, and we specifically come for that. The sushi lunch combo always includes generous, thick slices of fresh fish and a good variety. This last time, we even got a huge scallop nigiri in our combos! We also ordered a roll and an order of takoyaki to share this time around, and both hit the spot. Interior is classy, clean, and comfortable. Service can be a little slow depending on how busy it is (on a Saturday during lunch, our 3 sushi combos arrived like 15 minutes after my grandma's chicken udon), but that speaks to the made-to-order quality, so I'm not too bummed. Overall, as a sushi fanatic who doesn't like to break the bank each time we go out, this is my go-to and we'll be back every time we're in town.

From the first moments, we were impressed by the atmosphere, the beautiful menu presentation, and the great variety of dishes. When our food arrived, we were absolutely amazed The rolls and sushi were incredibly fresh, delicious, and beautifully served. You can really feel the attention to every detail and care for the guests. We will definitely come back again and recommend this place

You walk in thinking, "I'll just grab a quick bowl," and suddenly there's a noodle master stretching dough like he's training for the Olympics. Their Lanzhou-style noodles? Fresh, chewy, and honestly a little too good--they'll ruin instant ramen for you forever. The Lan noodle soup is so rich and savory. The died mixed noodle feels like a warm hug... if hugs came with chili oil and a kick that sneaks up on you. It's a small, busy spot, so yeah, you might wait--but don't worry, the line moves fast. Plus, it gives you time to emotionally prepare for choosing your noodle shape. Thin? Wide? Triangle? This is not a decision to take lightly. One wrong move and you'll be thinking about it halfway through your bowl like, "I should've gone wider."

I like how they have expanded their menu with additional options other than simply noodle options…read more We tried their pork pan fried dumplings (3/5) since the skin was overpoweringly thick, but the filling was decent. They have a small and large sweet and sour chicken rice plate. I had gotten the small size just to try it out, but it was surprisingly good (5/5). The pork sandwich bun was decent (4/5) since the beef was tasty but the sandwich bun could be better. We also had the traditional beef noodle soups with either the wide flat and triangle ones. You can't go wrong with these freshly made pulled noodles, and they are very hearty portions. Flavor is good and the beef is very tender. The smashed cucumbers were decent also (4/5), but nothing spectacular about them. Service is very quick, attentive and pleasant. This is a good go to spot for a quick meal. The dining room doesn't seat a lot of people so try not to come during busy dining hours on weekends to avoid a long wait.
