I like the thinly sliced cha siu as it doesnt get stuck in my teeth. I like adding the white vinegar into the broth and eat it with the bean sprouts. Portion wise, its good for me as i usually finish it all. I feel like their karage chicken is wayy to saucey now. Their mayo is good though, it has pieces of egg in it. They have these little cups for water and if you get soda its in the same small cups. Its cute but too small since i have to keep pouring water after every few gulps. Wait times are usually pretty quick and most people eat and leave so even if there seems to be a long wait, its not bad. Still one of my favorite ramen spots.

I really enjoy this ramen spot at the Santa Anita mall. The line does get very long so I stop by if the line happens to be short, which does happen. When I stopped by recently they offered me a bib and I very happily said yes! You're able to choose the thickness of noodles, the amount of garlic, amount of spice, amongst other things. I always find myself ordering the wrong noodles, but still super tasty. The restaurant itself is tiny and crammed which explains the long line outside.

Original king with cabbage

Came for dinner and there was a short wait at 6pm. Staff was very friendly and explained the menu and ordering process to us. Ambiance was busy as usual. They were efficient in bringing out the food though. Water was already at the table. You bring the check to the front to pay when ready. I got the original king again. Price went up since the last time I was here, now $16. Portion stayed the same though. I tried it with cabbage this time.

For me, Ramen Nagi always delivers consistent quality. The line may look long, but it moves quickly. The staff are very quick and efficient in managing the lines, taking orders, seating, and bringing out the food. I like the customization you can do for oil/salt. My go to is the original king and a karaage to share. I tried the new mazesoba item they had on the menu. Definitely do not recommend. It was very salty. If you want to try it, remove some of the red seasoning and the sauce. Add it back in later if its lacking flavor. Once you mix it in, there's no going back.

We ordered the Original King with chashu and the Original King with kakuni, and both were absolutely on point. The broth was rich, creamy, and packed with flavor without being too heavy. Noodles had the perfect texture, and you can really taste the quality in every bite. The tamago was perfectly cooked and that creamy yolk just adds even more richness to the ramen. The chashu was tender and flavorful and the kakuni was super soft, just insanely good. Service was quick and efficient even though it was busy. Definitely will come back to try other flavors!

Heard a lot of hype surrounding this ramen spot tucked in Santa Anita Mall in Arcadia. Parking is never an issue at the mall here, so that is always a plus. The line seemed very long, but to our pleasant surprise, it moved very quick. I appreciated how they had someone run down the menu and each ramen. It was a very clear breakdown of the menu and it helped us choose what we wanted quicker. Red King, 8.75/10: Love the customization options. The noodles were exactly how I like them, firm and still with a chew. The soft boiled egg was perfect. The broth was deep, rich, savory, and umami. Love the crunch from the woodear mushroom. My only small gripe is the ball of spiced pork in the middle is a bit too salty and it overpowered the dish in my opinion. The pork belly was a tad dry too. Classic Tokotsu, 9/10: Again, a hit with this bowl. This one somehow was even better. I liked the balance of ingredients and flavors with this one. It was slightly more well-rounded than the red king. They really nailed the quintessential fatty pork bone broth. Chicken Karaage, 9.5/10: One of the best karaage you'll find outside of Japan. Crunchy, savory, and paired perfectly with the squeeze of lemon and kewpie mayo. The waiter even gave us extra. Perfectly seasoned in my opinion.

A fantastic ramen spot located in the Arcadia Mall. One of the best in the SGV. The line can get a bit long on cold days. The ramen has depth of flavor and everything is delicious. The only con for me is that my stomach cannot handle the richness so i don't eat here too often. My friends all love this place and i wish i could eat this more often. The chicken is really good and the servers are nice. I like that the interior isn't too cramped as most ramen places do that.

Usually I don't expect much from places in a mall but... Ramen Nagi has proven me wrong!! It's actually good!! Not just "good for mall food" but actually good and I would come back for it if I'm craving ramen. It's sooooo customizable and you actually start the ordering process when you're lined up outside. They'll hand you a sheet of paper and a red marker and you circle all your preferences-- which soup, how salty, how spicy, how oily, which type of meat, which noodle, which type of vegetables if any... etc. I ordered mine with less salt, less oil, normal garlic, thin noodles, chasiu and green onions. Got spice level 2 (because there were circles for 1, 2 and otherwise you pick a number and write it in) and it was pretty mild but enough to notice that it's there! Next time I'd get the same or up to 3? But not much higher because I like a comforting tonkotsu soup over a spicy one. The Karaage was very whatever. Wouldn't get again. It wasn't dry but also wasn't juicy either. Just mediocre and not worth ordering. Toppings are on the table. I added the chili flakes and sesame seeds. It's nice that you grind the sesame yourself so it smells super fragrant! Everything else is self serve from the chopsticks, napkins, and the pitcher of water they give you too. Service was pretty quick once we sat down. Ramen was good and would get again!

One of our friends suggested to eat here, and it was a really good choice! We came before the line, but were waiting on one of our party members, which ended up taking about 30 minutes. The staff still had us wait off to the side but still "reserved" in the front of the queue for when he arrived. They gave us our table immediately once he made it, and even joked with him that he had us starving and waiting long haha We all mutually agreed that the broth was amazing!! It was rich, creamy, flavorful. The noodles, protein, and veggies were high-quality as well At some point, two of the servers bumped into each other and spilled some ice on me. They were so sweet and helpful, both checking on me multiple times and bringing me an abundance of napkins lol Definitely a pleasant experience!

The line moved super fast, which was a pleasant surprise. Since it was my first time, I really appreciated how the staff explained how to order--they made it simple and easy. I'm not usually a big ramen person, but my boyfriend said this is his favorite ramen spot. The food came out quickly and was so good. Definitely worth the wait!

Service was great! Staff was friendly and I liked how someone came out to the line to explain the menu. They give you a paper menu so you can customize your ramen. I ordered the squid ink ramen, and it was good. The broth has a little bit of sweetness to it. My husband tried the red king, and it had a little kick! My brother ordered the green king, and it tastes like a pesto pasta but in ramen form. The karaage was a nice surprise! It was crunchy and had like a soy glaze on it. Overall the ramen was good, but I've had better, but I still would recommend because you can customize to your liking.

It's in Arcadia mall with a lot traffic, however they're very efficient, the staff will give you the menu while stay in line and confirm the orders before entering the restaurant. The ramen tastes great, strong flavors which is my favorite. The fried dumplings look great but very oily.

Green King

One of my favorite LA ramen spots. Ramen Nagi, located in the Arcadia mall, whips up some amazing tonkotsu ramen for about $20 a bowl after tax. Wait times during peak meal times can get pretty long but they cycle through people very fast, like ramen shops in Japan. You fill out a sheet with your order while standing in line so your food comes out probably in like 5 minutes after seating. The Red King comes with a big ball of spicy ground pork. You can adjust spice level and even go much higher if you wish. This one gets to be a little salty by the end if you mix in the entire meat ball. The Black King comes with squid ink and blackened garlic for a greater depth of flavor. The Green King, imo the most interesting one, is basically a pesto pasta and ramen fusion. Sounds horrendous but it's actually really good! The pesto flavor is there but mild and doesn't overtake the tonkotsu and the shaved parm gives it an additional salty, slightly nutty note. Their karaage is always hot and juicy and the gyoza is one of my favorites from restaurants. The food quality is highly consistent and never really changed across many, many visits. Service is sometimes hit and miss--not bad at all but occasionally absent. Once done, they'll give you your check and you pay at the front counter on the way out.

Can you order to go/pick up?

Where are you located inside the mall or outside?

It's inside the mall in Westfield. It's really close to Wushiland and Macy's.

thank you

Do they take reservations?

Unfortunately, no. First come, first serve basis.

Is the chicken karage offered daily or does it rotate with the gyoza? If it's rotated, is there a set schedule?

They're both offered daily. It was just that the gyoza was unavailable for the first few weeks of opening, but they are both available now at the same time.

No. It is dine in only.

Definitely recommend requesting one if available. Started with the berry mojito and lemonade. The berry mojito was refreshing and loaded with real berries and mint, while the lemonade had a nice balance of sweetness and tartness. For appetizers, the popcorn chicken was crispy, juicy, and packed with basil flavor. The crispy sweet chili wings were one of my favorite dishes of the night -- super crispy with a sweet and spicy glaze that kept me going back for more. We also ordered the honeycomb platter which came with a variety of small bites. My favorites were the tamago, scallops, and shrimp tempura. The ying yang ramen bowl was a great option because it lets you try both tonkotsu and miso ramen in one bowl. Rich broth, chewy noodles, and a perfectly jammy egg made it very satisfying. The omurice was another standout and came with a fun presentation tableside. The fluffy egg over fried rice paired really well with the pork tonkatsu on the side. Dessert was also solid. The matcha tiramisu had a nice matcha bitterness balanced by sweet cream, and the cherry blossom jelly was light, floral, and refreshing with a nice chew from the agar boba. Overall, a fun dining experience with a big menu, tasty food, and great ambiance. Worth checking out if you're in the area.

I was craving for Okinawa soba so decided to come here without driving to South Bay. It's Friday around 1:30pm and the shop is relatively busy that only a couple of tables are available. We sat down and started looking at the menu - now a digital one with a tablet on every table. You can browse the menu on the tablet and put your order in on it. We ordered Okinawa soba and miso ramen. For $15 each, it seems like a decent price. We like the broths here. It's rich and deep without a layer of fat on top like most of the ramen shops. The noodles are firm with a nice bite to it. I especially like the Okinawa soba because it uses thicker noodles. The meat is tender and has a sweet flavor to it. If I had to nitpick, they don't have the Okinawa chili vinegar to go with the soba. It's a small shop. The walls are sprayed painted to look like a Japanese night time izakaya vibe. We will definitely come back more often.

We had to approach him and ask where to sit because he didn't even look up. It felt unwelcoming and very different from how this place used to be. On top of that, the food just wasn't the same the flavor was lacking, and the overall experience didn't feel like the restaurant we've supported for years. It's disappointing to say, but this place has lost our business. Great customer service and consistent quality matter, and sadly both were missing today.

I placed my order through their website and ordered the original Nagoya Mazesoba non-spicy with poached egg (15.29). I selected the earliest pick up time and then headed to the restaurant a few minutes before. However, to my surprise, the staff told me that my order wasn't ready yet and would need another 10 to 15 minutes. This is already after the 15 minutes of the promised due time when I placed my order, so I had no choice but to wait outside the store. This made my experience annoying because now I waited a total 25 minutes for my food. They should not have put an asap ordering with a due time if their kitchen wouldn't be able to meet the time. It seemed to me that their kitchen forgot to cook my order until I arrived at the store and they noticed the order, because my order was ready 10 minutes after I arrived and waited outside. The only good thing is the staff was nice enough to bring out my food instead of letting me go inside to get it after the time they told me passed. This is why I had to drop a star in my review. As for the noodles, it is similar to my memory of how it tasted. The sauce is very flavorful and a bit greasy as you get to the last couple bites. But the portion is still a bit small and also the noodle texture seemed not as chewy and soft. It might be because it is takeout or the kitchen was in a rush to cook it. But overall it was just alright and not as good as I remembered. If I do come again, I will dine in to see if the noodles taste any better. Because of this, I definitely would just recommend dining in. Dining in also gets the free bowl of rice.
