Was craving mazesoba so went to Sato House with the family. We usually have dinner early due to our toddler so it wasn't too crowded. It did however started getting busy towards the end of our meal. The interior is modern and sleek. Bright lights and spacious. The restrooms are also fairly clean. They were pretty accommodating with my toddler and immediately brought a bowl and plastic utensils for him. Although I wish they had crayons and paper for him, he kept himself pretty entertained. We ordered French fries for appetizer, which came out hot and was a pretty large portion. My husband ordered the hell ramen and enjoyed it. He even got a second order of noodles. I ordered the vegan mazesoba and the staff was very accommodating with my request for minor changes to the bowl (adding egg and fish powder). The mazesoba was very good. A little on the salty side, but the teriyaki tofu was a great addition. The tofu was crispy but soft on the inside and wonderfully flavored. We thought it was going to be like a typical pork bone broth but it turns out the menu doesn't say what type of bones they used. The chashu pork tasted a bit more dry in the ramen. The kurobuta pork gyoza filling was really good, but my only critique would be that the filling is a bit small and the skin a bit thin. I usually get Tonkotsu Ramen when I try a new Ramen joint, but this time I went with something I never tried before, the Yuzu Shio Ramen. I have to say it was amazing! Tonkotsu tends to be thicker and more savory because of its heavier pork broth. In contrast, the Yuzu Shio Ramen is light and refreshing! It is a joy to eat and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I only wish there is an option to add extra noodles because I couldn't get enough of it! This ramen consists of slow cooked chicken broth with Yuzu, with Chashu, 1/2 Ramen egg, lemon and lime, green onion, marinated bamboo shoots,, baby spinach, and nori. Exterior: There is street parking or garage parking available (cheaper for street parking but may be limited in spots). If you park on the street, you can pay $1.25 per hour. Interior: They have wooden benches and individual chair seating. It's easier for parties or 1-6 to be seated. It may be harder for larger parties to get a table. Service: They were fast-paced in the sense that I was seated, took my order for a couple of dishes, and gave me my dishes in the span of 10 minutes. That couple be dependent on how busy this is.
