The restaurant is bright, spacious, and welcoming, and the aroma of the simmering broth filled the air the moment we walked in. I ordered the Yuzu Shio Ramen with charred tonkatsu, which was fantastic. The char on the pork added a wonderful smoky flavor that complemented the light, citrusy broth and noodles beautifully. My coworker ordered the Beef Curry and Rice with a Vegetable Korokke and thoroughly enjoyed her meal as well. One of the highlights of our visit was the Black Truffle Chawanmushi. It was absolutely divine! The silky steamed egg combined with shrimp, scallops, and the rich truffle sauce created layers of incredible umami flavor. Every bite was comforting, flavorful, and beautifully balanced. To share, we ordered the tofu and seaweed salad along with the garlic edamame. The garlic edamame is a must-order. The sauce was so flavorful that I honestly wouldn't mind eating a bowl of rice topped with just that garlic sauce. It was that good! I enjoyed their yuzu ramen. It was very interesting. It was definitely not the usual ramen youd expect. It was citrusy and very light. The chashui it came with, you can taste the charred. I also got the chawanmushi and they provided soy sauce with it. It wasnt bad but id prefer to get their karage chicken instead. The karage was lightly battered and very crispy. I love that they serve mazesoba here! I used to be obsessed with mogumogu (has since changed name) but moved away from the area. Sato's mazesoba is umami in a bowl, and also is served with vinegar to be added anytime during to give the remaining bites a tangy kick. The interior is modern and sleek. Bright lights and spacious. The restrooms are also fairly clean. They were pretty accommodating with my toddler and immediately brought a bowl and plastic utensils for him. Although I wish they had crayons and paper for him, he kept himself pretty entertained. We ordered French fries for appetizer, which came out hot and was a pretty large portion. My husband ordered the hell ramen and enjoyed it. He even got a second order of noodles. It came with a side of mayo, which I didn't use because I don't like mayo. My husband dressed up the mayo with their spicy sauce and a squeeze of lemon, that made it taste a lot better than just plain mayo. The kurobuta pork gyoza filling was really good, but my only critique would be that the filling is a bit small and the skin a bit thin. I usually get Tonkotsu Ramen when I try a new Ramen joint, but this time I went with something I never tried before, the Yuzu Shio Ramen. I have to say it was amazing! Tonkotsu tends to be thicker and more savory because of its heavier pork broth. In contrast, the Yuzu Shio Ramen is light and refreshing! It is a joy to eat and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I only wish there is an option to add extra noodles because I couldn't get enough of it! Exterior: There is street parking or garage parking available (cheaper for street parking but may be limited in spots). If you park on the street, you can pay $1.25 per hour. Interior: They have wooden benches and individual chair seating. It's easier for parties or 1-6 to be seated. It may be harder for larger parties to get a table. Service: They were fast-paced in the sense that I was seated, took my order for a couple of dishes, and gave me my dishes in the span of 10 minutes. That couple be dependent on how busy this is. The atmosphere is always calm with light chatter. They have some neat wall art. The service has always been quick and efficient. The menu is short and simple but allows for variety.
