black king

Visited 8/9/26 - Red King 17.50 For context, I went with light salt and oil to be "semi health" conscious. I would definitely do this again, because it tasted like a normal ramen and I wasn't left wanting more. I love spice, but would definitely not add additional to the red king. The pork belly was killer and would recommend getting that over chasu, the flavor had a hint of sweetness and the minced meat was just the perfect combo! - Black King 17.50 My boyfriend always gets this, his only comment was to opt for the thick ramen! The noodle texture here is always on point, their "normal" should be the standard whereas other places you have to request firm to have it done perfectly. The price is the reason why he always returns! - Chicken Karaage 8.25 My favorite chicken karaage hands down and a must order when I go. The sauce is a sweet soy complementing the savory chicken with a touch of creamy mayo! I opt for this over the gyoza for more protein, if you have the people definitely worth while to get both. Once you queue, the hostess will give you a paper menu and marker to line up your order. From there when you are seated they will confirm and the food is ready really quickly. This is where I would go for a quick sit down meal, emphasis on quick since the music is loud and theres always a long queue.

I don't go out for ramen anymore since finding the tonkotsu broth concentrate in a Japanese market (Try it it's almost like the real thing!) But when a friend invited me to lunch here yesterday, I happily obliged. Ramen is cheap, what's not cheap are the piles of add-ons that cost extra: eggs, charsiu, scallion, corn, etc. etc. Pretty ridiculous really (another reason I make it at home and add my own seafood, vegs, shrooms, etc. etc.) Two ramen + chicken karaage = $50 The food is 5 stars, but value maybe 3 at most, averaging 4 stars total. At least the black pepper bean sprouts in a red jar is free. Located right next to Macy*s entrance by the 99 Ranch Market parking garage. Lines may be long but move fast.

Dined in with a group of 5 and a baby on the weekend. We waited 30 minutes, but luckily we can just circle what we want while waiting in line. Food ordered: 1. Chicken karaage - 4.5/5 - loved the crispiness and was super tasty. It had a nice crunch and went well with their lemon sauce. 2. Gyoza - 4/5 - looked pretty, but tasted average 3. Black King - 4/5 - tasted really delicious! But my meat was a little bit harder than what my table had experienced. The broth was delicious! Loved how it tasted. Parking: Plenty but can be hard to park at times Overall, we would come back!

Staff were very welcoming and will introduce the menu and provide instructions for filling out the Omotenashi sheet to order. They also provide bibs so that you can protect your clothes while eating. I ordered the Original King with light salt and chashu as that is what they recommended. I also got a side of extra pork belly which was super tender. Although the cha shu was not thinly sliced, the broth was delicious. I enjoyed customizing my ramen order.

Not my first time at ramen nagi though it was my first time at this outlet. We came on a Saturday evening and were lucky to be one of the last few in line before they had to close the restaurant unexpectedly due to an emergency. We only waited about 10min in line before being seated. Food was served pretty quickly. I got the standard ramen with a side of chicken karaage. Portions for the chicken was pretty big. Delicious as always and will definitely return again!

So thankful that the bean sprouts are back! (On the table in the red jar) service was great, friendly staff and delicious food. Got the limited Duck King (show up before doors because they only do ~25 bowls per lunch/dinner, vibe was very much like Japan. Love Nagi

Gyozas

Very impressed! Their ramen was super customizable and they are fast and efficient in ordering and getting your food to you. They have everything you need on the table, like napkins, water, chopsticks, and all the possible sauces...so you don't need to ask the waiter for much. Their ramen was fresh and not too heavy. It had great flavor. We also got the chicken karaage and gyozas. I'd get the chicken karaage again but the gyozas were too small. The gyozas tasted amazing but just not big enough. Definitely coming back.

Ambience - The ambience is very nice and lively, and the restaurant is clean. It's also decorated nicely and fits the theme nicely. Service - The service was quick and friendly. The only downside was the wait to get in since they don't take reservations, and we did seem to be a bit rushed to finish. At the end of the meal,, you have to pay at the front instead of the server bring the check, and the restaurant is cashless, so you can only pay with card. I Food -We got the chicken karaage on the side, and the portion was good. The chicken was juicy and tender, and had a light, crispy batter that had a sweet flavor. I also got the Original King Ramen. It had a good amount of chashu and noodles, although the portion did feel a little small. The tonkotsu broth was light creamy, and really comforting on a cold evening to warm you up.. It wasn't too salty, and it was filling.

Great service, line moved fast on a Saturday afternoon for lunch time! Food was delicious, broth was flavorful and meat was tender! Great portions for ordering extra meat, noodles were perfectly cooked. First time trying Ramen Nagi and I definitely will be back.

The ramen was really good, and the overall experience was made even better by our server. He was a tall Asian guy who was genuinely one of the funniest servers I've had at a restaurant. He had a great sense of humor and was really personable without being overbearing. He made little jokes and comments throughout our visit that had our whole table laughing, and it made the meal feel much more enjoyable and memorable. He was also attentive and made sure we had everything we needed without constantly interrupting us. You could tell he was comfortable interacting with customers and actually enjoyed his job, which made a noticeable difference in the atmosphere. The food was great, but the service is definitely what stood out to me most. I really hope he gets recognized because he made our visit to Ramen Nagi at the Arcadia location a genuinely fun experience. He absolutely deserves a raise for the way he interacts with customers and makes the dining experience so enjoyable. Employees like him are what make people want to come back. I'd definitely come back, both for the ramen and the service.

Came here with my family and my cousin's family. Our family was craving for Ramen and my cousin recommended this place. The restaurant is in a large mall and while there were lots of parking stalls it was quite busy and challenging to find a spot. When we got in there was a line already and so we entered the queue. All parties need to be present before they seat you. When finally it was out turn we were seated and the inside was nicely decorated. I liked the condiments and sprouts in the middle of the table. I used the sesame grinder a lot! Most of the table ordered the Original King Reamen but I had the Red King and wanted to try the Chicken Karaage. The chicken was so good! Probably one of the best I've ever had. The ramen was super flavourful and the noodles were cooked perfectly QQ. This place was bustling but felt that the service was good. Love the decor. They even give you a branded bib in case of soup splashing. Food is a bit expensive than other Ramen places but I probably would be back.

This ramen place always has a line!!!! Whenever we go to the mall, we see the line wrapped out front. This time, we got to the mall by 11:30 and were immediately seated for 6 of us. Ordering is simple since they give you a sheet of paper and market to pick your ramen selection from broth, noodles, spice level, toppings, etc. The ramen is tasty and the broth is quite thick and yummy! I like the thick noodles over the thin ones. I liked the customization of everything. Meal comes out relatively quickly since it's ramen. The gyoza is tinyyyyyy. Ahahha! I thought it was vey cute but was surprised at how small they were. But otherwise good. The middle portion of the table has various toppings and whatnot to share for the table. Also, since we got a longer table, we ended up sharing it with other guests. The restaurant had its own bathrooms.

Lissa L.

We were in line at around 1pm and we weren't there for very long. After maybe ten minutes, an employee asked us if we really wanted a table or if we'd be okay with sitting at the bar. We opted for the bar and were allowed through the velvet rope. Joy! The bar had ample space for both of us. To a certain degree I preferred it to a table because all the condiments, table napkin box and pitcher of water were all securely nestled against the wall. On the table, they always sat so precariously. Anyway, the ramen always satisfies. I love that I can get my noodles extra firm. That heartier chew is integral to the experience and balances the umami of the broth. My hubby's chashu pork dish was a generous portion. We left full. Love this restaurant!

It's inside the mall in Westfield. It's really close to Wushiland and Macy's.

Do they take reservations?

Unfortunately, no. First come, first serve basis.

No. It is dine in only.

Recently, I noticed the lines disappeared so we came for an early dinner. The interior is pretty cool. It's kit just tables and chairs but the design element is unique. Some seating are inside a honeycomb shaped booth, some are just in the middle of the dining area. We were seated at a table that resembles a birdcage. There's a lot of wood and warm colors, which makes the ambiance stand out over other ramen places. We ordered a ramen, omurice with katsu, some skewers and popcorn chicken. The spicy ramen was delicious, but there was no soft boiled egg as shown on the menu photo. All I saw was a broken egg white at the bottom of the bowl. 4/5. The omurice was nicely done. The egg was perfectly soft and silky with a nice curry sauce in the side. The katsu that came with it was crispy, hot and tasty. 4.5/5. The popcorn chicken was great. Perfect seasoning and crispy. 5/5. The skewers however, were the low point of our dinner. They did not appear they were cooked fresh. The meats were dry and tough. The scallops were OK but tiny. Chicken was average. The whole order did not satisfy. We also got an Amazing Lemonade and Thai iced tea. The lemonade was a very refreshing drink, and the Thai tea is just like all other places. Our server, unfortunately forgot his name, was excellent. Very personable and great at describing flavors. The friendliness extends to the rest of the staff too. It's a nice place to check out. Note their parking lot is fairly small, and shared with Paris Baguette next door. It's a 4.5, rounded up.

My friend got the tonkatsu red and loved it. He's not normally someone that compliments food so I was a bit surprised. We both wiped our bowls clean and left no noodz behind. We also ordered a shareable agedashi tofu which was delicious as well. Service was great. The staff was polite and checked in on us a few times. The space is very modern and well kept. There's a lot of tables so it isn't a problem bringing larger groups here. Parking is very easy since it's in a huge lot. It's been awhile since I've found a ramen spot that thoroughly impressed me. I met a friend here for dinner and had a great dine-in experience. We both ordered their "Original Nagoya Mazesoba" $15.29 and got their Karaage $8.99 to share. It was my first time here and I figured the famous original dish is always good. The noodles are thick, and all of the strands had their own little bounce to them, just the way I like it! It arrives unmixed so I also enjoyed vigorously mixing it myself and seeing it all come together. I especially enjoyed popping the poached egg on top and seeing the egg oooozing, paired with the minced pork, green onions, chives, dish powder, seaweed, and garlic. They have really perfected the recipe here to make the perfect dry noodle dish! If you dine in, the servers will also bring you a scoop of rice. I didn't really understand it at first as to why, but I later finished my noodles and thought "oooohhhhhh!" FYI the rice is used to pick up the rest of the delicious sauce left on the bottom of your bowl and it makes for an extra carb-filled surprise. The perfect way to end a noodle dish by the way, with rice for more carbs, duh! My only feedback, and I was indeed warned by my friend, is that the noodles make you a little thirsty. My friend told me she thinks its their fish powder seasoning that somehow makes you just feel like you need to chug a glass of water, so just make sure to bring a little extra water with you, haha! Also, fair warning here since you made it this far to reading this long review. The seats were very loud to move around in the dining area, and we can just about hear every squeak the metal chair made when anyone moved their seat, too! Other than those things, the noodles are a life I've already been raving about Menya Hanabi to my friends and will definitely come back!
