Red king (pork broth with spicy miso (tonkatsu)
    Jimmy S.

Came back to Ramen Nagi in Arcadia for a second visit with my bro and it honestly confirmed why this spot has become one of my favorite ramen places. I ordered the Red King again with the tonkotsu pork broth, light on salt and oil, regular thin noodles, and pork belly. The broth was still rich and flavorful without feeling too heavy, especially with the lighter customization. The noodles had a great texture and the pork belly was tender and satisfying. We also got the chicken karaage as an appetizer, and it was crispy, juicy, and a great starter before the ramen came out. Service was excellent from start to finish. Our food came out just minutes after ordering, which was impressive considering how busy the place gets. Our waitress also checked on us throughout the meal and made sure everything was good without being overbearing. The ambiance is really nice and clean. It gives off the feeling of being in an authentic ramen house with a lively but comfortable atmosphere. Even when busy, it still felt organized and welcoming. The biggest downside is definitely parking. Since it's located in the mall, finding parking can be a mess and probably the most challenging part of coming here. Overall, this spot continues to impress me and I'll definitely keep recommending it to friends and family.

An great spot to satisfy my ramen craving! I like how you can customize the ramen to your liking. I chose the red king and my friends chose the original king. The ramen soup base is good. It was light but would prefer a little bit more of richness. I chose the thin noodles. It was chewy, not too soft and a little firm. Kakuni (pork belly) was ok and not how I like my pork belly. I wished I chose the chashu instead. Overall, I thought it's a very decent spot. I would like to try it again maybe in a different soup, different noodle texture and get chashu instead. We came on a weekend so there was a bit of a line but not a horrible wait time. They will give you a paper to fill out your order while in line.

Super solid spot in the area for ramen. Ordering is super easy - while you're in line to be seated you just mark down all your ramen customizations so there's no need to think when you're seated. We really love the condiments (especially the bean sprouts) which are super flavorful and crunchy - great on their own or with the ramen. Service was friendly and helpful and we'd definitely be back. The two of us ordered: - Original King, less salt with pork belly (4/5): pork belly came out really good and marinated but were much thicker cuts than expected. Otherwise a classic tonkatsu ramen that was decent portions. Wish it came with an egg though. - Black King, less salt and oil with extra chashu (4.5/5): The squid ink enriches the already strong umami flavors. My bf liked that his noodles were firm with a nice chew. The wood ear mushrooms were a fun crunchy texture.

We were in line at around 1pm and we weren't there for very long. After maybe ten minutes, an employee asked us if we really wanted a table or if we'd be okay with sitting at the bar. We opted for the bar and were allowed through the velvet rope. Joy! The bar had ample space for both of us. To a certain degree I preferred it to a table because all the condiments, table napkin box and pitcher of water were all securely nestled against the wall. On the table, they always sat so precariously. Anyway, the ramen always satisfies. I love that I can get my noodles extra firm. That heartier chew is integral to the experience and balances the umami of the broth. My hubby's chashu pork dish was a generous portion. We left full. Love this restaurant!

I like the thinly sliced cha siu as it doesnt get stuck in my teeth. I like adding the white vinegar into the broth and eat it with the bean sprouts. Portion wise, its good for me as i usually finish it all. I feel like their karage chicken is wayy to saucey now. Their mayo is good though, it has pieces of egg in it. They have these little cups for water and if you get soda its in the same small cups. Its cute but too small since i have to keep pouring water after every few gulps. Wait times are usually pretty quick and most people eat and leave so even if there seems to be a long wait, its not bad. Still one of my favorite ramen spots.

Wow. Ramen Nagi , I have been missing out. I remember when they first opened and I barely got to try it. I tried their Original King Ramen , Gyozas , and Karaage Chicken. All of these items were beyond amazing. The ramen had to be the best ramen I have ever had. The broth was rich and flavorful , noodles were cooked perfectly , chashu was perfectly tender , soft boiled egg was jammy and runny. The gyozas were great. I love how they pan fried it and made it extra crispy while still being soft and flavorful on the inside. The karaage was so juicy and good; squeezing lemon to it definitely adds a nice brightness to it. Service was so good! Everyone was so nice and explained the menu clearly. We were seated pretty fast at the bar. Food came out fast as well. Ambiance is great! A clean restaurant that is nicely decorated to make you feel like you're not even in the Santa Anita Mall. Overall, would LOVE to come back again.

Came for dinner and there was a short wait at 6pm. Staff was very friendly and explained the menu and ordering process to us. Ambiance was busy as usual. They were efficient in bringing out the food though. Water was already at the table. You bring the check to the front to pay when ready. I got the original king again. Price went up since the last time I was here, now $16. Portion stayed the same though. I tried it with cabbage this time.

For me, Ramen Nagi always delivers consistent quality. The line may look long, but it moves quickly. The staff are very quick and efficient in managing the lines, taking orders, seating, and bringing out the food. I like the customization you can do for oil/salt. My go to is the original king and a karaage to share. I tried the new mazesoba item they had on the menu. Definitely do not recommend. It was very salty. If you want to try it, remove some of the red seasoning and the sauce. Add it back in later if its lacking flavor. Once you mix it in, there's no going back.

Original king with kakuni and tamago (egg)

We ordered the Original King with chashu and the Original King with kakuni, and both were absolutely on point. The broth was rich, creamy, and packed with flavor without being too heavy. Noodles had the perfect texture, and you can really taste the quality in every bite. The tamago was perfectly cooked and that creamy yolk just adds even more richness to the ramen. The chashu was tender and flavorful and the kakuni was super soft, just insanely good. Service was quick and efficient even though it was busy. Definitely will come back to try other flavors!

Went for a late lunch with zero wait time and plenty of available seating. Staff was attentive and efficient. People familiar with Ichiran will immediately recognize a similar ordering process minus the kiosk and near lack of all human contact from start to finish. Ordering options include saltiness, richness in oil, spice level, noodle tenderness, extra toppings, and sides as well as a friendly & outgoing wait staff to take your order. The original king ramen (similar to how Ichiran serves their ramen), which I ordered, did not come with seaweed or soft boiled egg, so I ordered those extra. The broth was rich, filling, and full of flavor (even more so than some other local ramen spots), the noodles cooked to perfection. The gyoza were small, but juicy and packed with filling. Luckily they give you plenty.

Red King Ramen and Karaage in the back.

Heard a lot of hype surrounding this ramen spot tucked in Santa Anita Mall in Arcadia. Parking is never an issue at the mall here, so that is always a plus. The line seemed very long, but to our pleasant surprise, it moved very quick. I appreciated how they had someone run down the menu and each ramen. It was a very clear breakdown of the menu and it helped us choose what we wanted quicker. Red King, 8.75/10: Love the customization options. The noodles were exactly how I like them, firm and still with a chew. The soft boiled egg was perfect. The broth was deep, rich, savory, and umami. Love the crunch from the woodear mushroom. My only small gripe is the ball of spiced pork in the middle is a bit too salty and it overpowered the dish in my opinion. The pork belly was a tad dry too. Classic Tokotsu, 9/10: Again, a hit with this bowl. This one somehow was even better. I liked the balance of ingredients and flavors with this one. It was slightly more well-rounded than the red king. They really nailed the quintessential fatty pork bone broth. Chicken Karaage, 9.5/10: One of the best karaage you'll find outside of Japan. Crunchy, savory, and paired perfectly with the squeeze of lemon and kewpie mayo. The waiter even gave us extra. Perfectly seasoned in my opinion.

I really enjoy this ramen spot at the Santa Anita mall. The line does get very long so I stop by if the line happens to be short, which does happen. When I stopped by recently they offered me a bib and I very happily said yes! You're able to choose the thickness of noodles, the amount of garlic, amount of spice, amongst other things. I always find myself ordering the wrong noodles, but still super tasty. The restaurant itself is tiny and crammed which explains the long line outside.

Usually I don't expect much from places in a mall but... Ramen Nagi has proven me wrong!! It's actually good!! Not just "good for mall food" but actually good and I would come back for it if I'm craving ramen. It's sooooo customizable and you actually start the ordering process when you're lined up outside. They'll hand you a sheet of paper and a red marker and you circle all your preferences-- which soup, how salty, how spicy, how oily, which type of meat, which noodle, which type of vegetables if any... etc. I ordered mine with less salt, less oil, normal garlic, thin noodles, chasiu and green onions. Got spice level 2 (because there were circles for 1, 2 and otherwise you pick a number and write it in) and it was pretty mild but enough to notice that it's there! Next time I'd get the same or up to 3? But not much higher because I like a comforting tonkotsu soup over a spicy one. The Karaage was very whatever. Wouldn't get again. It wasn't dry but also wasn't juicy either. Just mediocre and not worth ordering. Toppings are on the table. I added the chili flakes and sesame seeds. It's nice that you grind the sesame yourself so it smells super fragrant! Everything else is self serve from the chopsticks, napkins, and the pitcher of water they give you too. Service was pretty quick once we sat down. Ramen was good and would get again!

    Do you take cash payments?

I believe they only accept card or Apple Pay

Does the karage use sesame oil in its marinade?

It does either in the marinade or is drizzled on top after because it has a noticeable sesame flavor.

Do they let you take leftover's home?

Yes. No order takeout but you can eat there and take home leftovers.

How many people can be in a party?

They don't have a limited, but Raman place usually would take a long time for any party over 6... some times taking longer time especially on weekends

    Can we use apple pay?

    Yupp, they take cashless payment

Do you use peanuts oil in anything?

They usually use soy bean oil, but some will have peanuts oil too

Is the Karaage Chicken only severed on certain days?

When I went, they said it was a special.

    Do they accept togo?

    No they don't

Do they serve vegan broth or chicken broth?

Yes they have vegan but not chicken broth

Do you need or accept reservations?

No. Just come and wait in line. The line moves at a decent place and the service is efficient

Are you guys open tomorrow New Years Day? and why does the business not have a number to contact?

Can you order to go/pick up?

You can only order to-go the chicken karage or gyoza from what I was told

Where are you located inside the mall or outside?

It's inside the mall in Westfield. It's really close to Wushiland and Macy's.

    Do you do take out?

    thank you

    Do they take reservations?

Unfortunately, no. First come, first serve basis.

Is the chicken karage offered daily or does it rotate with the gyoza? If it's rotated, is there a set schedule?

They're both offered daily. It was just that the gyoza was unavailable for the first few weeks of opening, but they are both available now at the same time.

    Can you order take outs?

No. It is dine in only.

We sat down and started looking at the menu - now a digital one with a tablet on every table. You can browse the menu on the tablet and put your order in on it. We ordered Okinawa soba and miso ramen. For $15 each, it seems like a decent price. We like the broths here. It's rich and deep without a layer of fat on top like most of the ramen shops. The noodles are firm with a nice bite to it. I especially like the Okinawa soba because it uses thicker noodles. The meat is tender and has a sweet flavor to it. If I had to nitpick, they don't have the Okinawa chili vinegar to go with the soba. It's a small shop. The walls are sprayed painted to look like a Japanese night time izakaya vibe. We will definitely come back more often.

On top of that, the food just wasn't the same the flavor was lacking, and the overall experience didn't feel like the restaurant we've supported for years. The noodles are cooked perfectly and also comes with pcs of nori, soft boiled jammy eggs and 4 pcs of thick chashu. Portion size lets just say they are generous and we all can EAT ^^, Kakigori (MATCHA) $8/$14. 5/5 Stars - Definite MUST! Its made with Japanese shaved ice, a very creamy soft cream matcha sauce and matcha powder! I cant tell you how good this dessert is. The wife is obsessed and one if the main reasons why we found this spot in the first place. Please try! Service: - Super friendly staff! They are quick to get our order and serve our meal. I asked for more limes for my noodles 2x and both times they were quick. Made us feel very welcomed and checked in on us on a regular, which also reminded us of the service Japan showed us once upon a time. Overall: We love this place and we keep coming back with new people to share this type of noodle experience. Check them out im sure you will enjoy it. Lets just say we drove an hour to eat this. You def will not be disappointed :)

I had a weekend dinner at Tsujita LA Artisan Noodle with our group of four back in March 2025. The…read moreother two ordered tsukemen ($26.50 for the spicy deluxe and $23.50 for the spicy chasu) and found it very salty because they chose to consume it not by dipping the noodles in the bowl of broth, but rather by pouring all the broth from the bowl into the noodles, trying to recreate a normal bowl of ramen. I can't speak for them, but I will say, if you order the tsukemen and find that you want more dipping broth, that will be an extra charge. Order a regular bowl of ramen if you do not plan to dip the brothless noodles into the broth for each bite. BF and I both tried the spicy tuna bowl ($7.95), chashu bowl ($8.95), and tonkotsu ramen ($15.95). The bowls are a little smaller than the ramen bowls and are a great option if you want a light meal without feeling super full. The tonkotsu ramen had a slightly rich broth that was flavorful and a decent portion of noodles. We opted not to order the ramen with the egg since we were also trying the rice bowls. The three items were more than enough for the two of us and a good variety of food. Parking here is horrible at the street level, so head downstairs for the two levels of underground parking.

You walk in thinking, "I'll just grab a quick bowl," and suddenly there's a noodle master stretching dough like he's training for the Olympics. Their Lanzhou-style noodles? Fresh, chewy, and honestly a little too good--they'll ruin instant ramen for you forever. The Lan noodle soup is so rich and savory. The died mixed noodle feels like a warm hug... if hugs came with chili oil and a kick that sneaks up on you. It's a small, busy spot, so yeah, you might wait--but don't worry, the line moves fast. Plus, it gives you time to emotionally prepare for choosing your noodle shape. Thin? Wide? Triangle? This is not a decision to take lightly. One wrong move and you'll be thinking about it halfway through your bowl like, "I should've gone wider."

I like how they have expanded their menu with additional options other than simply noodle options…read more We tried their pork pan fried dumplings (3/5) since the skin was overpoweringly thick, but the filling was decent. They have a small and large sweet and sour chicken rice plate. I had gotten the small size just to try it out, but it was surprisingly good (5/5). The pork sandwich bun was decent (4/5) since the beef was tasty but the sandwich bun could be better. We also had the traditional beef noodle soups with either the wide flat and triangle ones. You can't go wrong with these freshly made pulled noodles, and they are very hearty portions. Flavor is good and the beef is very tender. The smashed cucumbers were decent also (4/5), but nothing spectacular about them. Service is very quick, attentive and pleasant. This is a good go to spot for a quick meal. The dining room doesn't seat a lot of people so try not to come during busy dining hours on weekends to avoid a long wait.
