Parking is abundantly available since it's located in a shared strip center. There's a sushi bar, but I opted to dine at a table with a view of the sushi bar where there were two itamae chefs. I opted for the sashimi lunch, which is served over sushi rice, and a spicy tuna hand roll. The lunch included hot tea and miso soup. The sashimi was solid with scallop, various cuts of sashimi, and uni. The service was prompt, but the waitress hostess staff was all business and could have been friendlier although she might have been overwhelmed, since she was seating patrons, taking orders and serving customers. Our family has been to Kiyo a handful of times, and it's become my favorite sushi place. Fish is sizable and fresh, prices are reasonable. We love that they do weekend lunch special, and we specifically come for that. The sushi lunch combo always includes generous, thick slices of fresh fish and a good variety. This last time, we even got a huge scallop nigiri in our combos! We also ordered a roll and an order of takoyaki to share this time around, and both hit the spot. Interior is classy, clean, and comfortable. Service can be a little slow depending on how busy it is (on a Saturday during lunch, our 3 sushi combos arrived like 15 minutes after my grandma's chicken udon), but that speaks to the made-to-order quality, so I'm not too bummed. Kiyo used to be our go to spot for lunch. They still offer a lunch special menu. Now, we come as a special treat for dinner. The sushi is always fresh. They have pictures of their rolls and nigiris on their menu on an ipad. The ipad does not tell you the price, so be wary of that. My favorite thing from here is definitely their beef tongue. It's a must every time we come. The service is great, they're always attentive and come by to check on your during your meal. The seating at the bar is nice because you can watch the sushi chefs in action. They also have specials listed behind the sushi bar that isn't listed on their menu. I was incredibly impressed by the food. I tried their Kagoshima Wagyu, which was hands down my favorite. The live lobster was both delicious and fun as the antennaes were still wiggling when it arrived at my table! The mentai pasta was incredibly creamy with one of the best textures I've ever had. I've passed this place for years, and I finally decided to give it a try and wow was I impressed! I took my mom and our eyes were definitely bigger than our stomachs. We ordered a good amount of cut rolls and specialty rolls, none that were disappointing. I especially loved the spicy yellowtail cut roll! Okay. Time for an updated review. I've been sushi deprived for 9 months since I'm pregnant, and I demanded a chirashi bowl to be delivered to me as soon as I give birth. My parents helped us pick up a lunch chirashi bowl and lemme tell you - it did not disappoint. We paid lunch price on a Sunday, and got the chirashi bowl for ~$22. What a steal! Most other chirashi bowls at other restaurants are about 25-30 at this point. KIYO also did not miss on quality. The fish were all fresh and we're good, solid pieces. What i liked most was that they also had raw salmon, whereas some places offer more minced items or skip salmon altogether. Kiyo sushi lived up to my expectation for my first meal after delivery. I visited Kiyo last night and was just BLOWN away by the options different dishes they served. I especially love that they are having a winter shabu shabu special (A5 Wagyu shabu for the cold nights), which I've never seen at a sushi spot. I got to get tons of seasonal dishes like lobster, oysters, fresh tuna from Japan (proven by a huge tuna head at the front haha), and their wagyu sushi.
