    Teriyaki chicken bento
    Jen T.

Stopped by for their $10.99 lunch special bento today. For the price, it was solid -- the portion left me satisfied but not overly stuffed where I feel sluggish afterward. The sushi was fresh enough, and the sides that came with the bento had enough variety to keep things interesting. Service was quick, which is great for a lunch break. The atmosphere is casual cafeteria-style, so don't expect fancy décor or high-end presentation, but it does the job.

I haven't had sushi from Sushi In The Box in a long time, and I am in the nearby area. I certainly want to get some sushi from this store. It's located in the back of the food court of 99 Ranch Market in Arcadia. As shown by the photos I took, the sushi was both affordable and delicious. Love it and will definitely come back for more!

Sushi in the Box has affordable sushi, rolls, and bento boxes! Delicious, quick service and is full of flavor. Definitely check it out if you're looking for a place to save money on sushi and eat good food. Parking located in a plaza

I hit up Sushi in the Box in Arcadia, just lookin' for a fast dinner. The food was good, solid stuff. I mean, its not going to win any awards for being the best sushi ever, but for a quick bite? It totally does the trick. The staff there were super friendly and helpful, too.Always a plus when you're dealing with a local owned spot that's just crank out quick and clean orders. It was quiet when I was there about 5:30pm, which was nice. The seating area is one of those big shared spaces with a few other restaurants .

The cashier lady was quite rude, when asking for what in the bento box, she just pointed to the poster without saying a word. The sushi was just ok but not tempting.

Spicy tuna roll. Not spicy enough

So it was a spare of the moment thing that brought me here. I had a sudden craving for some rolls but didn't feel like a sit-down restaurant, and I heard about this place so it worked out fine. Located at the right corner of the President Square Food Court, they offer rolls, bentos and ramen. They weren't very busy when I went about a 1/2 hour before closing, but had a steady flow of people. The service was fine, nothing outstanding but no complaints. The food took a bit longer than expected, roughly 15-20 for 4 rolls when there wasn't anyone in front of me. Maybe there were orders called in (?) I got a Dragon Roll, Rainbow Roll, spicy tuna and a Cali roll. All tastes fresh and the rice wasn't stale considering it's the end of the day. But the rolls lacked flavor. ie: The Dragon Roll and Rainbow Roll are usually served with some type of eel sauce, or anything to tide it more flavor. These were not. The spicy tuna wasn't spicy. Maybe my tolerance for heat is fairly high but even my kid didn't think it was spicy. The rolls I picked up were all fine. They all looked good, just not much to rave about when it comes to the flavor. I hate to give a small family business an average rating but this is purely based on my own palette for rolls. I've been to dozens of sushi joints in Vegas and became accustomed to the sauces they put on their rolls,'which I didn't get here. That left the rolls a bit on the bland side.

The store is located at the food court of the 99 Ranch center. Big parking lot. They close for a few hours before dinner and I hadn't realized this but the lady was there and took my order and made the rolls on the spot. They have a takeout menu so I later realized they have many other dishes and not just what was on the posters. I tried the rainbow roll and the combo california roll and spicy tuna later realizing orsering 2 rolls got me 50% off my combo. Nice! They are very generous in filling and less rice. It was great! The lady was also very nice! There are tables inside the food court if you want to dine there. Or you can order for takeout. Quite convenient.

    Tempura bento with teriyaki chicken.

We tried sushi in a box when it was on Cloverly and recently heard it moved even closer to President Square food court. So many good items to choose from. Our favorite are the tempura bentos we choose either Teriyaki chicken or the beef sukiyaki. The tempura is amazing, and the entrees are awesome as well. They also have buy one full price sushi get one half off from list. So we get dragon roll and spicy tuna roll. There's so much food for 2 of us, we had left overs, and the left overs were still amazing. lol. President square brings a lot of kids with Sunright tea, if you're also hungry definitely stop by and get some bentos. Wish they offered musubi's for quick eats. They also finally updated the food court floor and tables. It looks so much nicer and clean.

I've been coming to this restaurant for years. They've recently moved from their original location in Temple City to Arcadia. They're now located towards the back of the food court next to 99 Ranch. The rolls are decently sized and the prices are great. They even have a buy one, get one 50% off promotion on some of their rolls. The rolls and hand rolls are probably my favorite things to order. Their onigiri is delicious as well. They always put a generous portion of fish so I definitely feel like I'm getting my money's worth. I've also recently tried their ramen and it's an amazing price for the large portion that you get. The workers are always very sweet. They provide extra utensils if you ask for it and the food is always packaged well when you get it to-go. I've never had an issue with anything spilling before. Eating at the restaurant is also much more convenient now that they've switched locations. Their previous location was pretty small so I always ordered stuff to-go. However, the food court has a lot of seating inside so it's much easier to dine-in now. Overall, the quality of the food is amazing for the price. The prices are much lower here than other sushi places I've been to, and the portions are larger. I'll definitely continue to come here!

I frequent here for the bento box. Call in advance and enjoy! My kids love the California rolls. And they typically will offer buy one get one 50% off. The lady that is seemingly always there is nice and open to any adjustments you may need (like extra ginger and eel sauce)! Great service and good food!

On a Saturday afternoon in October, my sister and I came here to order early dinner. They moved from Temple city to Arcadia. I ordered the chicken teriyaki bento box and waited to be ready. The owner was nice and took our orders. I quickly found a table and waited for our food. The chicken teriyaki taste good and scoop of rice. The California rolls taste good too. Next time I will get their Sukiyaki bento because my sister raved how it tastes so good.

Super happy that Sushi in the box moved right next. lol Took this menu so I can check on Yelp. Anyhow, the Chirashi bowl price is great. Kids like the rolls. I have got a few trays for parties as well.

This restaurant is located in a small plaza but parking is plenty and the wait is not long for a Saturday afternoon. There is a boba place inside but the drinks doesn't look that great so we didn't order any. The staffs are very nice and the setup inside is pretty unique. We didn't get to sit inside one of the Hexagon pods or the lantern cage table but its ok. The ramen is actually pretty good. The broth has a deep flavor to it and the ramen itself is not bad. It is not spectacular but I would say slightly above average. We ordered Combo B so it came with a lot of extra stuff. The ramen though cannot be exchanged so I got the Sapporo Miso Ramen while my wife got the Tokyo Tonkotsu Ramen. We also ordered the Yakitori Platter. While the Ramen are decent, the other dishes are subpar. I am 99% sure the Yakitori was pre-made and just reheated. It has no char flavor at all. I believe some off site kitchen prepped the food and the restaurant just reheated the food. That was the most disappointing part of the meal. The cost of the Yakitori was equivalent to actual Yakitori places so I expected decent quality Yakitori. I think the popcorn chicken is the same. It has no crunch to it at all and it is barely warm. The two desserts are decent. Those can be prepare ahead and won't affect the flavor since they are served chilled. After the meal, one of the bowls actually won a free drink so we'll claim it when we return next time. Overall the meal was decent. I just won't order the appetizers next time. Normally I would just give a 3 star since the Yakitori was a bust but the staffs are very nice so I kept it at 4 stars. The place is also very clean too so I would like to repeat to try other dishes.

Kyuramen x TBaar brings together a Japanese-inspired ramen restaurant and bubble tea café under one…read moreroof, offering a menu that extends well beyond ramen. We walked into a space that stands out for its modern interior, featuring private wooden booth seating that creates a cozy, semi-private dining experience, the kind of setup that makes the meal feel more intimate than a typical ramen shop. The atmosphere feels contemporary and social, with a clean, thoughtfully designed layout that works well for both casual dinners and group outings, and the attached TBaar makes it easy to finish the meal with a specialty tea or dessert without leaving the restaurant. While ramen is the restaurant's signature, many of the menu's standout dishes are actually found elsewhere. The omurice is one of the most popular items, served with a fluffy egg and rich demi-glace or curry sauce that makes it one of the restaurant's signature comfort dishes, and the presentation, with the egg split open at the table, adds a theatrical element to the meal. Other highlights include yakitori, bao buns, katsu, takoyaki, and appetizers that give the menu plenty of variety. The ramen itself is solid, with options ranging from traditional tonkotsu to the Yin Yang Ramen that lets you sample both spicy and non-spicy broths in one bowl, though the quality of the ramen can feel less memorable than some of the restaurant's other specialties, the broth lacking the depth and complexity that defines a dedicated ramen shop. The attached TBaar also adds another layer to the experience with milk teas, fruit teas, and desserts that pair well with the meal. Matcha tiramisu, Japanese cherry blossom jelly, and other sweets help round out the menu, making it easy to stay for dessert instead of stopping somewhere else afterward, and the drinks are well prepared, with the tea flavors coming through clearly without being overly sweet. The restaurant's design is one of its biggest strengths. The wooden booths provide a semi-private dining experience, and the overall space feels clean, modern, and thoughtfully designed, creating an environment that encourages lingering over a meal rather than rushing through it. Service is generally friendly and welcoming, though it can slow down during busier periods as the restaurant fills up, with the team handling the steady flow but sometimes taking longer to check in when the dining room is at capacity. The overall experience remains positive, and the pace of the meal stays comfortable even when the service stretches. Kyuramen x TBaar offers more than just ramen. The inviting atmosphere, diverse menu, and combination of savory dishes, drinks, and desserts make it a well-rounded dining destination. While the ramen may not be the strongest reason to visit compared to some dedicated ramen shops, the omurice, appetizers, desserts, and unique dining experience make it a place worth trying, especially if you are looking for variety rather than focusing on a single dish. The balance of creativity, comfort, and a polished setting makes it a versatile option for a meal that feels more like an experience than a quick stop.

The broth is thick, creamy and flavor profile is on point. Inside of the broth there is mushrooms and pcs of pork. The noodles are cooked perfectly and also comes with pcs of nori, soft boiled jammy eggs and 4 pcs of thick chashu. Portion size lets just say they are generous and we all can EAT ^^, Kakigori (MATCHA) $8/$14. 5/5 Stars - Definite MUST! Its made with Japanese shaved ice, a very creamy soft cream matcha sauce and matcha powder! I cant tell you how good this dessert is. The wife is obsessed and one if the main reasons why we found this spot in the first place. Please try! Service: - Super friendly staff! They are quick to get our order and serve our meal. I asked for more limes for my noodles 2x and both times they were quick. Made us feel very welcomed and checked in on us on a regular, which also reminded us of the service Japan showed us once upon a time. Overall: We love this place and we keep coming back with new people to share this type of noodle experience. Check them out im sure you will enjoy it. Lets just say we drove an hour to eat this. You def will not be disappointed :)

I had a weekend dinner at Tsujita LA Artisan Noodle with our group of four back in March 2025. The…read moreother two ordered tsukemen ($26.50 for the spicy deluxe and $23.50 for the spicy chasu) and found it very salty because they chose to consume it not by dipping the noodles in the bowl of broth, but rather by pouring all the broth from the bowl into the noodles, trying to recreate a normal bowl of ramen. I can't speak for them, but I will say, if you order the tsukemen and find that you want more dipping broth, that will be an extra charge. Order a regular bowl of ramen if you do not plan to dip the brothless noodles into the broth for each bite. BF and I both tried the spicy tuna bowl ($7.95), chashu bowl ($8.95), and tonkotsu ramen ($15.95). The bowls are a little smaller than the ramen bowls and are a great option if you want a light meal without feeling super full. The tonkotsu ramen had a slightly rich broth that was flavorful and a decent portion of noodles. We opted not to order the ramen with the egg since we were also trying the rice bowls. The three items were more than enough for the two of us and a good variety of food. Parking here is horrible at the street level, so head downstairs for the two levels of underground parking.

We love that they do weekend lunch special, and we specifically come for that. The sushi lunch combo always includes generous, thick slices of fresh fish and a good variety. This last time, we even got a huge scallop nigiri in our combos! We also ordered a roll and an order of takoyaki to share this time around, and both hit the spot. Interior is classy, clean, and comfortable. Service can be a little slow depending on how busy it is (on a Saturday during lunch, our 3 sushi combos arrived like 15 minutes after my grandma's chicken udon), but that speaks to the made-to-order quality, so I'm not too bummed. Overall, as a sushi fanatic who doesn't like to break the bank each time we go out, this is my go-to and we'll be back every time we're in town.
