Ignore the negative reviews, this place is great. If you like katsu or curry, this place is bomb. It is fast casual, you can order online or on an app, and most customers are getting take out, but I see nothing wrong with that. The item we get the most is tonkatsu pork cutlet with egg omelet, rice and curry. The curry is just a sauce, no extra chunks of vegetable like carrot or onion but after trying numerous spots, we really enjoy the flavor and seasoning of the curry. The pork is always juicy and well-friend and the egg adds extra protein and texture. Instead, there are steamed broccoli florets which I like even better. The other item I'm obsessed with lately is the Tomato Wagyu Patty Rice Bowl. White rice is topped with a smallish wagyu hamburg patty of sorts, a tomato "salsa" which is like a chunky tomato sauce. The tomato sauce is addictive and it's great mixed with the rice. My only qualm with this dish is that it could use two patties, or even three to complement the amount of rice. Came here twice, once for a yelp event & once with my family. We enjoyed the Chicken Katsu curry, Pork katsu curry and the Unagi Don. The curry was good & the portions were generous. However, we did not like the chicken karaage, it was hard & doughy. They have indoor seating or you can order to-go. You order at a kiosk in-person or on their app & it gives you updates & lets you know when your order is ready. I loved their to-go packaging, everything was separated so it stayed fresh. This is basically a fast food curry place with mostly fried food. Like most places in SGV the lot is not big enough for all the businesses in the mini mall, but you can usually get a parking. On Sunday night around 5:00 the restaurant was deserted. Nevertheless, it seemed like only one lady was doing all the food prep by herself. We had to wait maybe 20-30 min minimum for our order. When she was mostly done making it, another man came in the front door, put his dinner from another fast food place on the counter and started helping her. Like many new places, order is by kiosk only and they do not take cash. Highly recommend you skip the in-store wait and just order ahead on your favorite services that they take and allow 20-30 min to get there so you do not end up waiting in-store. The food quality was mixed. The spicy curry was too hot for us even though the flavor was good. The amount of meat and egg and overall food is not that big and you are mostly filling up on rice. That is not worth the post-Covid and inflation prices they are charging. The food tastes ok, but is not as good as comparable places or sit-down Japanese restaurants. The mild curry was not too hot and had good flavor. The potato salad texture is different, but tastes ok. We did not know one comes with each dish and so we accidentally ordered an extra. For maybe $5.99 or $6.99 it was totally not worth it. Even though we ate different dishes and did not share we both got mild food poisoning from here. We got: potato salad, chicken katsu curry, unagi bowl, and omurice bowl and a mango flurry. You definitely need massive lactade if you are lactose intolerant to drink their flurries and other yogurt drinks. Another restaurant has taken over this location and now it's curry flurry... I don't think they're going to last based off my visit. When I visited, the two staff were just sitting on their phones and vaping. There's two self order kiosks which uses a mix of photos taken of the dish and also AI images so what you se isn't what you get. After some time, we got our food to eat. All the food was packaged for to go so it didn't matter if you ate it there or took it out. The curry was obviously microwaved - the center was ice cold and the surrounding curry was very hot. The mashed potatoes that came with the dish were ice cold. The karaage was covered in a seaweed mayo and had no other flavor. All in all, won't be coming back and don't recommend it. We ordered at a kiosk, which was nice, and it was several minutes before I saw proof someone was working. I don't think he said a word to us the entire time! Though the wait was quite long for a fast food joint that wasn't really busy at all so I suggest you place your order before you arrive. Definitely not for large parties since there are only five small round tables each comfortably can seat three people and there are a couple of wall seats for single eaters. The spice level was really spicy at all but for a $1.00 more you can get really spicy but I didn't try that option. I was expecting the omurice to be a little more wet but it was basically a scrambled egg over my rice. My mom actually enjoyed her meal. She said the chicken was tender and she was able to eat it with little issue. She requires tender meats or she has a difficult time eating so a plus there for goodness. As for my chicken karaage she would've had a difficult time eating that since the chicken was over cooked and hard to even fork it with the plastics. I wasn't too thrilled with it myself. The omurice and curry were the highlight for us. My friends had the double wagyu patty rice bowl and she enjoyed that. This is a new spot that opened by my house, so I thought I'd give it a try. This restaurant is located within a plaza and shares a large parking lot and so parking has never been an issue. It has very limited seating inside so I would recommend ordering takeout. I ordered tonkatsu omurice and selected spicy for my curry . It was probably one of the best tonkatsu I've had in awhile. The batter isn't caked on and it has the perfect amount of crispiness. It isnt dry and is super flavorful. I only wish they gave more of the tonkatsu. The curry was also delicious. The spicy curry is spicy but if you really like spicy, I would recommend going for the extra spicy option. Even though I ordered takeout, the set up is beautiful. My takeout order came in separate boxes so the food didn't mix together which I really appreciated. the Mac salad could have more flavor though. price point was fair and the service was friendly. Since I had such an amazing experience dining in here the first time around, I immediately thought of here for a to-go order since it was on the way home from visiting my bf at the hospital nearby to try their other menu items. Downloaded and ordered through the app per the owner lady's recommendation. Ordered the Unagi Tamagotchi Don and the Onsen Egg Wagyu Don. Arrived at designated time, but app still noted that the food was being prepared. Went in the store to check, but there was no one at the front. Saw on the counter that my order was bagged and ready, but didn't know if I could just grab and go; rather worrisome that someone could just do that though since no one is at the counter. Stood and waited for roughly 10-15 min before owner lady reappeared from the back. Maybe because it was late and she had a long day, and there were two other customers waiting, but she was rather curt when I asked and pointed at my bag of food for pick up. She never asked to verify my order, which was concerning, and just pushed the bag towards me. She did wish me a nice day flatly before turning her attention back to another customer who waiting for his order. Btw, my order was still marked as "preparing" when I got back to my car, and only became "ready for pick up" when I arrived home lol. All in all, the food here is amazing. All of the tables were dirty and hadn't been cleaned even though the two employees were just sitting at a table eating and talking with no other customers when we entered. When the food finally came out they badly mixed up many of our items with another customer's order. Everything was also packed individually which we found strange. We realized that it was because all of the food was frozen and microwaved and it all tasted horribly bland with bad texture and most of our food was still cold even though it just came out.
