I came here for a special event for a doll club, and we packed the place. The staff was super friendly and enthusiastic and the atmosphere was fun and cute! The special event was a tea party so we got little sandwiches and pastries as well as a drink. My friend and I opted for a fancy lemonade instead of tea, and I loved everything. Arcadia is a little far for me to drive, so I might not come here very often, but it's cool that they'll do special events like this. Because this was a special event the maids didn't do special stuff with our food, and there weren't any maid activities, but that didn't detract from my enjoyment. I would highly recommend this cafe!

Thank you for a pleasant experience. My friend and I visited for the first time. The food was delicious, especially the omurice paired with the sesame salad and curry. The maid drew an adorable cat on my omurice and a bunny on my friend's omurice. The taro milk teas were scrumptious as well, but the star of the show was the neko parfait. I loved all the different textures particularly the ice cream, granola, and jam. My friend loved her waffle. At the end, we took a Polaroid with the maid. The food came out fast and the maid was nice and attentive. Thank you!

This was such a cute place to visit. As soon as you step in, you're already surrounded with cute decor, a stage in the back of the store, and to the right you have shelves of merch that you can buy. If you're looking for one of those idol pen lights, I highly recommend buying it here. It's $20 for one, and $36 for two, which is actually very affordable if you compare it to the ones you usually see at Japanese concerts (Last one I saw was $40 for one). Menu wise, very maid cafe, had cute pictures, easy to read and visualize. But the math didn't really math for me. Unless you're going for the Akihabara combo, the other two combos are more expensive than if you order separately. I only wanted the kawaii sunrise fruit tea and a curry with rice plus the maid polaroid, so it actually added up to around $25 for me, the combo is $28. Small hiccup, but not a big deal as I was able to math it out in my head before ordering. Food review time. The Otaku Okonomi fries were amazing, highly recommend. And despite being a starter, it's actually very filling and goes well with any of the drinks. The curry I ordered was slightly disappointing. It's just curry and rice, there's nothing in the curry though. If I'm not mistaken, this may be able to be considered vegetarian since I don't think it had a single piece of meat in it. So it wasn't enough to satisfy my hunger. Not even carrots or potatoes in it. Just the curry sauce. We also order a parfait. Parfait exceeded my expectations. There was so many textures in there, it was easy to get my cravings for crunchy, chewy, sweet, etc, every thing was covered. The fries and the parfait were my favorite of the meal. Drinks were also winners. Onto the cute polaroid, it's only $5 and if you want a cute souvenir, it's a great choice. Very cute, you get to stand on the stage and take a cute picture with your maid and their props. I appreciate that they allow us to take group photos for the polaroid, but keep in mind if everyone in the group wants a picture, it's $5 per picture printing. Still really worth it. They also decorated the picture so it's now added to my polaroid album. Can't wait to see them at another event!

This location was picked because (it was closer) and the smaller stores are more chill. This anime come-to-life dining experience hit the spot, as did the food. I'm of the impression event eateries are front-loaded and the food takes a back seat, but not so much here. Basically, the meals matched the experience! Like I said, there's bigger venues with lots more going on of this ilk but our experience at this one was to our satisfaction. Try it, you might like it! Our server make sure our experience was one for the books, to which our daughter was more than happy with. From the cat ears tiara, to the custom food drawings it was a fabulous cat-thas-trophy! Her fave thing was the picture she took with the server on stage.

First time trying this café. The staff was kind and welcoming. There happened to be a pop-up with a special menu. However, we tried the original menu items. We just ordered two teas. We were happy with a fun experience. We are definitely gonna try and bring some friends to enjoy it next time. There was lots of groups chatting and enjoying their time.

Honestly a little odd to me! The maids were cute but not really seemingly upbeat as the usual maids I've seen. I do know there are different types though so that's okay. It's a bit small, and they have merch there but I do like how it's seasonally decorated with events and activities. I heard that the girls themselves do it too so I admire that!! The food was fine. I loved that there was a large menu but I think some things weren't available? Whatever was available kinda came out a bit better than I expected, and with their phase connect event, I was able to enjoy other parts of the meal as well! Overall a nice place, just quiet and not super "magical" like other maid places. Oh wait, almost forgot: TERRIBLE PARKING GET DROPPED OFF

Came here for the hololive popup cafe. The interior was very chic, Dl and the themed decorations were on point, and all the workers were very friendly and helpful. I got the blacksmith tea and the karaage set. The tea was very tasty, with a flavor somewhat reminiscent of gushers. Not what I was expecting, but it was surprisingly pleasant. The karaage was a little greasy and the batter had a squishier texture than what I'm used to, but the chicken itself was plump and juicy, and the flavor wasn't bad. I honestly wasn't expecting much since this is typically a maid cafe, but the food actually had some effort put into it. Pretty nice, would definitely consider coming again.

There's a cute maid themed cafe located in Arcadia California and it's called Arcane Maid Cafe. I walked over while getting my car was getting serviced on. It's a very clean and spacious cafe that offers beverages, snacks, entrees, and desserts. The staff is here is friendly, and the store features a lot of anime related merchandise for sale. I ordered a milk tea and it was quite delicious! I'll definitely be back to try the food dishes when I get a chance.

Omurice with cat ketchup drawing

This is arguably the better maid cafe, in terms of tasty food, that I've tried in Arcadia. The omurice was tasty and flavorful, it hardly needed the curry even though it adds more depth. The pork katsu was deliciously crispy and also worked harmoniously with the curry. The affogato was very fun, but I needed to add a shot of espresso because they're so generous with the ice cream. The drinks were yummy, but I do think the neko parfait needs something crunchy for added texture. The interior is super cute & I wish I got more pics against the wall with the cat windows, but I was seated on the other side. Service was sweet and nice, but more on the quiet side and not as cute as the other cafe in Arcadia. I think this is due to me coming earlier before the lunch rush so there was only one maid doing it all so we didn't want to overwhelm her. Would go again for the nommy noms & to check out how the night time vibes are

A super unique and fun experience! A must-try if you are in the Arcadia area and are a fan of anime. I found this cafe on Yelp and decided to check it out as part of a spontaneous mini road trip to the 626 area with my bf. Admittedly, I'm not super into anime, and I didn't know much about this cafe other than the anime theme and cute food. My bf, however, is an otaku. As soon as we parked, he recognized Steins;Gate - his favorite anime of all time. Coincidentally, Arcane was doing a collaboration with Steins;Gate at the time of our visit. It was perfect! I loved the interior decor and Japanese style service. When we were ready to order, we would ring a bell instead of needing to flag down a waitress (not that it's needed, for such a small cafe). I ordered the Strawberry Lemonade, which was very refreshing. I especially loved the fresh strawberry pieces on the bottom. My boyfriend and I shared the Curry Omurice and the Neko Parfait dessert. Both were cutely decorated and quite solid. We completed the Steins;Gate themed "missions" and left the cafe with some stickers and a poster. Overall, great experience! I would definitely come back here again.

Such a cute Maid cafe experience. The food wasn't bad as well! It's in a small plaza with a few parking spots but we parked in the back. I didn't get to experience a maid cafe in Japan, and when I heard about this place it was perfect to check it out! The interior of the place was well decorated with a 2D look, and everything was so cutesy. There are different package options on the menu but we just ordered the food without the maid experience that would've included photo ops and going on stage. The maid was extremely nice and taught us to ring the bell if we need them. She also taught us a cute song to "bless our food" with love . She asked what we want her to draw on our omurice and she drew a cute cat as we requested. They all looked shy and don't want to be part of any pictures but I asked before I took a photo of her !

I was super excited when I saw a maid cafe in America! My expectations weren't that high, after being in Japan but it was surprisingly so cute inside and our server was so kind. We got the omurice, matcha and cherry blossom boba, and a Sunday. The omurice was pretty yummy. We were able to customize the design that our server drew on our food which was really fun. The drinks were a bit artificial tasting and sweet, but the ice cream was good. The interior design was so unique too. Black and white paint to make you feel like you're in a 2D space. We were a little sad because we came in a weekday and didn't know that they only do performances on weekends. The server seemed over booked too. Only a few tables but she seemed to be the only one which made things pretty busy/slow. Food: 3.0/5 (more for the aesthetic) Service: 4/5 (amazing server but she seemed over booked which is a staffing issue) Ambience: 5/5

I came into the cafe out of curiosity. I saw the menu from outside and was interested in the curry. The place nice and clean. Lots of displays of anime characters of maids. Actually, a cute atmosphere. The waitress, dressed in maid attire, was really nice. I saw that the cafe served affogato which I got along with my Chicken Curry. I must say, both were excellent, better than I expected. I definitely will be back as I loved the affogato. As if the cafe was in Japan, there was no expectation of tip nor was there a place to write a tip on the credit card slip. I was pleasantly surprised. Still, I dropped my tip in the jar because I enjoyed the experience.

I am thinking that when one imagines a Hello Kitty Cafe one cannot help but imagine an environment…read moredrenched in pink and cute. That is certainly the image I had about the Hello Kitty Cafe when I went in. It is important to note that I had not performed an internet search on this cafe prior to going so my expectations really were pink and cute in an overarching way. I did not know how the pink and cute were actually going to take form or if they would land as welcomed fairy glamour or garish hot pink spewed from an ogre ill with a pink fever. I am happy to report that the pink at the Hello Kitty cafe ultimately landed as ornate sugar, like the one used to make intricate designs on fancy laced cakes. Now we moved to the specifics of how Sanrio imaginers translated pink and Hello Kitty bows to create a momentary pink fantasy that is immersive and sweet. When my friend Ronnie- my partner in pinky raising- and I entered the cafe one was blasted with Hello Kitty merchandise, imagery and photo opportunities. It was clear from the sweaters on the walls and the dainty bow-forward cakes on displays that we were not in Kansas or Oz, anymore. We were in purr and bow territory and that meant we were pawns that now had to move with pink pace. This pink pace does not belong to the Pink Panther or to Barbie, or to Elle Woods of Legally Blonde stardom. This pink pace is unique to Hello Kitty and its distinguishing factor is that moving at this pace, is simply an act of leisure and rest, it has no purpose other than to exist in a suave, comfortable drowl. All the other pink owning people listed before move at a pink pace that is meant to accomplish something. For instance, Pink Panther desires to solve cases as it moves in pink, while Ms. Woods (comma) Elle has court battles to win in her pink pace. I, for one, welcomed being enveloped in pink slowness. There was a a stand in front of the Bow Room that suggested a host stood there at one time. But since there was no host, I mentioned our arrival to the cashier and they explained that the host of the Bow Room would be informed. A person came out of the Bow room, and told us, we had four more minutes to wait. A break in the pink fantasy but every paradise needs gnats that gnaw. As soon as one enters, the pink atmosphere- described above with maybe painful detail- wallops. In fact, when I entered the sole gender neutral bathroom I found pink hand-wash. Thus the details, like sugar, were granular. The chairs had bows, some other customers had hello kitty prints, others dressed in streets clothes, the sugar cubes were pink and in Hello Kitty form, as well as the cucumber sandwiches, as well as the tier holding case, as well as the central design feature of the room, as well as the napkin holders, as well as the chocolate design of the chocolate mouse and strawberry opener. So if I had not made this clear this room was absolutely, 1000%, Hello Kitty themed but somehow it worked, it never crossed into a tsunami of pink that could drown and wash away. I think because its own its absurdity with confidence, like a model who wears an avant garde creation/monstrosity with humility abandon. All of the pictures will help the reader decide for themselves if this place's pink is right-on or wrong-off. Now unto the food. I first tried the Birthday Tea which was raspberry forward. I am not sure why I did not like it, even with a hello kitty sugar cube. The server was kind enough to swap it for their most popular tea--- their pear tea. This one could be drank without sugar, which was good, I did not want to use too many sugar cubes, like one for every cup. To prevent this, I put a sugar cube in the pot. I know the review is dense but I hope people take note of this fact: Put a cube in the pot, instead on every cup, to ensure one does not over-indulge in sugar. Especially when the tea bites were, in my opinion, overly sweet. More broadly speaking, the tea bites were mostly standard, with some being more, and others being less. For example, the chicken salad croissant was good and had a pinch of maybe celery or another bitter-like vegetable that added crunch and zest but did not fully reach its promise, it went forward but not reach its full bite goal. The apple tart was a mini apple pie that I could leave after one nibble, as apple pies are so well known that I did not want to get to know the familiar again. There was a hummus on a pita with something red on top, this was a solid bite. So basically I am saying that the atmosphere and design- from tea spoon to walls, was the real draw of the place, where the food falls short and eats as a minor let down. At least for me, others might love the food, but now I am over stating as we all know that taste is a relative human experience. I would not go back to this place. I did it, know what it was and that was enough. But I am glad I tried once for now I know what a pretty pink tea party feels like.

I was hoping to have my own AE86 built and ready when I finally stopped by, but maybe for the new location. As an honest critique of the actual storefront, the appearance and decor is very charming. In a very bright, Japanese themed cafe kind of way. But because this is an Initial D themed drink and snack spot, I can see this being a place where mostly guys use this place as a meet-up hub. Especially for a small car meet. Very niche right? Especially for the dying breed of 1980's 1990's - 2000's JDM cars. That said, how many guys in the city could you actually get to come here regularly for soy and soy-based accessories, drinks, and snacks? The dessert was okay, and I wasn't in love with the drinks. Light, tofu refreshing, but not captivating. Personally, the menu doesn't appeal to me, since I try to avoid soy since it tends to be a pro-estrogen consumable. I don't think they had to box themselves in into being a purely tofu-only cafe. They could sell tofu products, and also have something simple but repeatedly addictive; like In-n-Out, Wurstkuche, Howling Ray's, Tea Master Matcha Cafe, Savoy, Langer's, etc. The closest idea I can think of that would be forced into tofu would be like really excellent, authentic mabo tofu, agedashi tofu, or like a karaage or Tokyo fried chicken style fried chicken with a mabo tofu dipping sauce, heavy on the ma-la flavors. Hell, I might even stop by more if they imported more car parts, from like Impulse, TRD, or Apex'i. But the way the AE86 market is, it makes more sense to sell online to the global niche. Wonderful atmosphere and mood for the Initial D/MF Ghost/Subaru to Subaru fandom.
