There is also a crane game and Photo Booth! The strips range $6-$8 but you can get a coupon when you order a drink. The staff is concealed in the back behind curtains and they only come out to serve drinks so the atmosphere feels like you can just hang out without being watched. They have fun snacks in the front for sale as well. Something cool about the shop is you can pay extra to put your drink in a surprise cup - the cup comes with a boba plush! I got a honeydew tea with boba and a green milk tea with boba. The honeydew wasn't too sweet and didn't taste powdery at all. The green milk tea did have a herbal taste and the boba was cooked well. I experienced Boba Box last weekend as a guest at a private event. (The space was rented out.) Emily and Katherine were running the show and doing a great job of making everyone's drinks. The Okinawa Black Milk tea with boba was good, but it tasted like a brown sugar milk tea so I'm not sure what is special about the okinawa sugar specifically. That aside though, I enjoyed my drink thoroughly. Not watery or too sweet. The matcha oreo latte was good, but needed more sweetness for my taste. The matcha was strong! This is a good option for someone who prefers a less sweet taste. I do wish it had more oreo too. There are BOGO deals at select hours and a student discount. I love the name and concept of this boba place. Their drink cups kinda fit in the car cup holders. The concept is great, and the drink follows through with good quality tea. Citrus Sunset: So refreshing, it does have a slight tart taste due to the grapefruit. Adding the crystal boba brings a nice bounce for a fruity drink. Okinawa Milk Tea: Clean milky with hints of the nutty Okinawa flavor in the tea. I prefer this than the citrus sunset. I've driven past this shop multiple times but tonight was my first time pulling over to try! Dropped by around 9:30 PM (30 minutes before closing) on a Wednesday and there was no wait. I'm not sure if there is a dedicated parking lot but we opted to just street park since it was a quick visit. When you enter there's a tablet where you can easily place your order and pay. We quickly chose our drinks & waited around 5 minutes. In terms of the interior, this boba shop is quite spacious with a good number of tables and chairs. Although we took our drinks to go, I think it'd be a nice spot to work or study from as there'd be a lot of natural light through the windows and the tables are nicely spaced. I opted for the mango green tea with lychee jelly and my friend got the phoenix milk tea with boba. Mt first sip of the mango green tea was pretty sweet (100% sweetness) but as the ice melted it mellowed out and was a nice level. The phoenix milk tea had a nice toasty flavor and the consistency of the boba was pretty chewy. Each drink came out to about $7 which seems to be somewhat of the going rate for boba these days. I could definitely see myself returning here in the future as it's pretty convenient & I enjoyed the drinks. If you're on the fence about trying, I'd recommend giving Boba Box a shot! read more

After she was done making the drink, she didn't even bother to tell us that it was ready. She just went back to sitting down and swiping her phone. I ordered the Galaxy Box drink, which had cool colors and cool star jelly. However, the drink just tasted like sugary syrup. Not much tea flavor. Hosted a Friendsmas here and was absolutely satisfied with how the planning process and event turned out! Leo the manager, despite never meeting him was very helpful in the planning stages. He was very attentive and answered all my questions and addressed any changes I requested as needed. We had a semi-private event meaning we got the section of the space by the windows with the adjacent Wood wall and it was already decorated for Christmas. We had access to the speaker system but since they were already playing christmas music we didnt switch up the playlist. We appreciated the wonderful staff tending to the boba bar that day. They were very kind and also helped move some pre-event customers that were straggling in our party section during our time slot. The place was a perfect space for our party of 14. Semi private could be for 30 & below, but for our use of tables for games and food, I believe we had the right amount of space to comfortably enjoy. They even have a sofa and coffee table in the space! Totally worth booking with Leo at Boba Box! Ease of booking, clear rules & payment, good space, food is allowed to be brought in and love that they allowed us to move their furniture around to curate our own design. We were dining in, at a nearby restaurant then we decided to look for refreshing drinks. It was kind of late but it was Saturday night, so there was some hope. When we checked Yelp, We found Boba Box and it was just across the street from the restaurant. The place is spacious. They have multiple indoor seating. It has this  relaxing vibe which is suitable for people to finish their work or for  young people to hangout or to study there. We placed our order on a tablet. They called us, once the orders was ready. The service was very fast. The young men were very nice and friendly. We got ; Strawberry Matcha 50 % sweetnes and Strawberry Milk Tea 50% sweetnes too. The Strawberry Matcha was silky, rich with perfect sweetness for me. There was a  well balanced taste  between the Strawberry and matcha. I enjoyed both of them in every sip. I am glad we stopped by. What an underrated place for a dog friendly study place! I actually didn't like my drink the first time I came here but I wanted to give it another chance before I wrote a review and I'm glad I did because the drink was great (the second time around). First time around I got the phoenix oolong milk tea. I think my mistake was that I made it 25% sweet and it just didn't taste good/satisfying. I wish I just kept it at the original recipe or just 75% sweet. The second time around I got #3 on the most popular drink list which was some citrus fruit tea and I thought it was pretty good and refreshing! I forgot to adjust the sweetness level this time around which is probably why it was so tasty and sweet.. a little bit too sweet for me but it's fine because I poked a slightly bigger hole and just poured a bit of water into it which made it perfect. Overall, this place is pretty cool to hang out with friends, study, work, and or just for a drink. They have ton of board games you can play and lots of seating. The evening can get a bit loud on the weekends especially if kids are coming in for a board game night or the speakers are extra loud with rave music. The workers are nice and they allow outside food as well which is pretty cool since they don't sell food. LOVE that they are dog friendly so I just brought my dog and his little blanket to join me. Street parking is free right in front or to the side of the shop (usually pretty empty). Overall, awesome place! read more

This place is a hidden gem. I been going here since they first opened where they offered the reusable, plastic square bottles with every drink. Old Town Monrovia went from having zero tea places to having some of the best out there! It's very spacious and aesthetic here. Their cups are so unique and CUTE! It's a good place to get some work done (fast wifi) as well as just hang out with friends. Parking is lacking if you come at a busy time, but there's a big plaza across the street if needed. Their prices are fair compared to other places that are upcharging nowadays. My favorite drinks are the green milk tea, thai mik tea, and when it's in season, their watermelon green tea (unbeatable)! Drinks can be a little sweet, even if you lower it. Their boba is always made right though. Nice and not too too chewy! read more

Overall I give it a 3.5/5. You can order at the kiosk or at the counter although on the kiosk you have all the customization options. I got the Brown Sugar milk tea. I liked the flavor and the boba was really good. Great texture and you could taste the brown sugar in it. 5/5 I also got the bubble waffles and paid extra for ice cream and chocolate syrup on top. The waffle was lacking sugar/flavor and the chocolate drizzle was heavily concentrated in the middle so it was too sweet to eat the bottom half of it. The ice cream was just a basic vanilla flavor. 2.5/5 My friends got different drinks and they did not finish even half of theirs. They all agreed my brown sugar milk tea was the best in flavor. One friend got the tiger box and it just tasted like milk with a tiny amount of sugar(a small amount of sugar was drizzled around the cup). No flavor whatsoever, just mostly tasted like milk. 1/5 Another friend got the citrus sunset. I did not get to taste it so I cannot say how it tasted but he only took one sip. Met up for a quick boba date with a fellow elite - haven't been in quite some time so was due for a return visit...we both tried variations of their strawberry milk teas - absolutely fantastic!! I had their regular strawberry milk tea and my friend had the strawberry milk tea with matcha. I had boba in mine and it was really good. Their milk teas are smooth and creamy and full of flavor! A lot creamier than others along Myrtle imo - and all the better for it too. I got mine at 50% sugar and it was still plenty sweet enough. Next time I'll drop it down even more. Their boba has a great texture - but is just a tad bland. I'm not sure if it was the boba or maybe the tea had such a strong strawberry flavor that it overpowered the boba. Either way I still loved it and will definitely get it again. They have the cutest living plant wall - great for the gram pics if that's your thing lol. Lots of tables and even games to play. Note card only and all street parking but not on an overly busy intersection. We tried: + Yuzu yuzu: a fruity refreshing drink that's on the sweeter end with the honey. You do get the yuzu bits that adds texture even if you don't add toppings like boba. + Oreo matcha latte: definitely a nice dessert drink. The oreo is fairly crushed at the bottom, so make sure to stir well before drinking. The spot doesn't seem to get overly busy, so could be a nice spot to work or even play card games.
