Came by for some boba because I was thirsty on a hot day. This is small baba store in a plaza with plenty of parking available. They also sell blind box and stuff dolls. Two crawl machine were located by the door. I ordered mango butterfly with jelly (#10 of the top 10 drink) and l mango Mojito. Service was fast. Server was friendly. My first impression: Both drink tasted like sugar water. The mojito is pretty refreshing on a hot day. The mango butterfly was just pure sugar syrup. Good boba drink! Ordered a regular milk tea with boba and had decent amount. It's located in a not so busy plaza, parking was easy to find, actually gets really dark at night. Staff are friendly, they have another store in El Monte of the same name. They have bright decorations inside and it wasn't busy the time we went, I went back in the car after ordering and we only had to wait 5 minutes for our drink! NGL: I miss Ding Tea. And this is in ko way a comparisson, but I was so used to the Ding Tea that was located in this spot, I just keep calli g it Ding Tea. I stopped by the other day and noticed that the menu has changed from what it was a few months ago, and saw they had a 'mango matcha latte', which sounded ok, (this weekend was hot!!!) and so here I am all happy to get some popcorn chicken and the matcha latte and Imwhat they gave me was... milk. I could not, for the life of me find the matcha flavor ANYWHERE. Now, the mango puree was ok-ish, but it still wasnt enough to overpower the milk taste. They added jelly to my drink even tho I didnt ask for any, but there were a few customers there and only two people so I guess this is bound to happen. At least they kept the same decor‍. Boba is always fresh. I've ordered here 10+ time and several stamp cards worth. I've never gotten old boba. It's always chewy, sweet, and soft. ALWAYS. 2.) they're quick with it. Everything, ordering, making your drinks, packing your drinks. If you order 3+ drinks they'll give you a cool boba bag that holds your boba drink nicely. 3.) I feel welcomed. They greet with a smile. 4.) they remembered my wife's drink order. I can't tell you how many times I come here forgetting what she wants. They remember it. Well.. Tuan does. There are others where I'm still fumbling over the order and they're picking up on that. 10/10 would come back 10/10 would recommend to a boba drinker. I'm a BIG fan of the OG location. Love the little kiwi mascot that they have, the cute theming and design of the cups (saying that I deserve boba, is a huge plus in my opinion), the variety of drinks that they have there, the little shop they have where you can purchase cute little trinkets and goods or use your stamp cards for them, and the service. So when I heard that they just opened a second location, I was happy to hear that! Unlike the original location, there is much more seating here and it's a much wider space. Better for hanging out with friends or grabbing a table to yourself to study. When I went there were some plushies to purchase, but nothing like all the trinkets (keychains, earrings, mini bags, etc.) that they had at their other location, so hopefully this can be implemented as they go through their growing pains. The good news is that they accept the same stamp card here too! So double up! I got their Oreo Garden milk tea at half sweetness and less ice. Solid potted plant milk tea, came with a good amount of Oreo crumbs on top and it's not too sweet with that adjustment, but just enough. I got this without boba, but I feel like if I got a topping, it would become increasingly sweeter. As it has the same drinks as the original location, I think I'll go back to my horchata or crème brulee drinks. read more

I visited this store for their grand opening celebration and free drink promotion. I received a t-shirt for being one of the first few waiting in line. They did affles for many great prizes, but I was not able to return in person for the drawings. The owner was very friendly and accommodating to the new customers providing chairs to sit and snacks while waiting for the opening. I ordered the the butterfly mango with lychee jelly and boba with adjusted sweetness. The drink was tasty and the colors were visually pretty. They had macarons for sale, while tempted, I ended up not purchasing. I have been to the other Hello Boba location on Garvey.
