This place is usually pretty busy and rightfully so, considering the unique menu and cute, colorful decor reminiscent of colonial SE Asia. Not the biggest menu but a nice curated selection, including pastries. The Putu is a popular pandan inspired coffee drink, which I've tried twice. There are other tropical drinks with coconut and also matcha. I see people with their laptops working at the small tables, so I guess it's great for that, too. Overall not cheap compared to Starbucks but probably a better value for something more unique!

It's a fairly small cafe. Very popular. It was very crowded when I was there. All the tables were taken and barely a spot to stand to wait for my order. Interior decor is Asian retro. Pretty cool vibes. Menu is quite unique with its flavors. I tried the iced putu and the chiffon pandan and talam ubi. The desserts were en pointe with the flavors and textures. The coffee was not bad either. I could taste the panda flavor despite the coffee being a bold taste. Staff was pleasant.

I went to this new location that had never been to and I have to say I loved the coffee I got. That day I got the Horlick's Coffee and it didn't disappoint! Service was friendly. As for the ambiance great place to sit and enjoy your coffee, also located near stores and restaurants! Definitely will be returning :)

One of my favorite coffee shops in the 626. This is a Malaysian/Indonesian coffee shop that brings unique modern coffee drinks to the area. It's a great place to study and get some work done. The interior has really cool decorations including old magazine prints on the wall. It feels familiar and welcoming at the same time. There's plenty of parking in the structure located behind the shop. D1 customer service for sure. One of the baristas made me the wrong drink, so she remade it promptly. Upon my next visit, she gave me a coffee on the house. All the drinks I tried were solid. The pastries are a bit dry though. The drink menu has really good variety. Iced Americano, 9/10: Can't go wrong. Not too bitter. Smooth. Tasted some fruity berry notes in their espresso. Putu, 8/10: A little too sweet for me. The pandan is a nice touch. Coco cloud, 9/10: Coffee and coconut pair really well together and the chocolate adds a bit of depth and richness to the drink. It's a treat for sure.

The Milo was a little too sweet/creamy for me. My friend liked the Puto more saying it was a good balance of sweet and not too sweet with the delicious flavor of coconut.

Beautiful little hidden spot in Downtown Alhambra! Service is awesome, my friend had a question about one of the drinks and the person taking our order was patient and kind enough to explain it despite how busy it was. Drinks came out super fast! I ordered the dirty Milo and he ordered a hot tea. Only thing is the minimal seating.

Their cny cold brew is soo good. I wished this was a permanent addition. It was fruity and had an edible dried peach. Would have to wait until next year to see if they bring it back. Hopefully i get a smooth, peaceful year after drinking it. Also Got the uji matcha and it was good. I just hate the straw it comes with cause you can barely get any liquids even after using all your strength to inhale in.

Putu coffee: if you're not used to drinking coffee on the daily this was pretty strong for me that I was still wide awake throughout the night. I can see why it's one of their most popular drinks. The pandan and coffee complimented each other so much with a smooth nutty and aromatic mixture together.

I don't like matcha I have always hated it and I LOVED theirs omg I did order the putu for myself and it is SO GOOD omg and the rigole tastes like a chicken pot pie croquette but vegetarian friendly Outlets and nice jazz music not too loud so in love I despise when they play music and it is not the mood I'm going for this is neutral and !! Not loud !! So kind to my brain and they're nice

My husband got the Milo dinosaur. He said it was pretty authentic Malaysian standards. I got the Pandan coffee Putu coffee. Pretty good. Long line and it took a while to get the coffee.

Such a vibe inside, snagged a cool $2 sticker + Putu ($8): pricier end but refreshing pandan forward and lacked coffee flavor (8.5/10) + Kopichino ($7; half sweet): the perfect coffee forward latte (9/10) + Savory potato roll thing was okay, reminded me of Porto's + Pandan cake was decent, good pandan flavor

CNY pear cold brew. SOOO good please dont miss this, I hope you see my review before its gone because you must get it. So refreshing and beautifully infused with pear. This made my whole day! I saw a few indonesian/south east asian pastries (please correct if im wrong) and other bakes available and definitely going to try them next time. Cashiers/baristas were very friendly and jokey :) there was a line to the door on a sunday afternoon. small little place with not too many seating. luckily theres stools available so you can suit yourself by sitting against the wall with no tables which was what we did haha

I love that when you enter, you are immersed with the smell of fresh coffee. Their tables are placed around perimeter of the store, ideal for parties of 2-4. Good little study spot with wifi and light 80-90s Chinese music. Came on a Sunday morning and my drink was ready in ~10 mins. The dirty Milo had the perfect combination of creamy and salty from the cream top, sweetness from the condensed milk and slight bitterness from the espresso. I'd say $8 for this decently sized drink is worth it to me because it's something I would come back for! Would also love to try their other artisanal kopi next time!! Besides drinks, they also have traditional Indonesian desserts

We also got a plain milk soft serve and it was probably one of the creamiest milks soft serve we've ever had. The self serve toppings bar is also a nice touch. This is in the same tiny plaza as Golden Deli and Bopomofo, so parking can be tough at peak dinner time. The good: the taiyaki texture was nice and crunchy. The ice cream was smooth and not icy. The price is good for amount you get. The bad: the store was extremely cramped and hot. It's a very tiny shop so easily felt packed inside. I was annoyed when they called my order but I was struggling to get through the shop to get my order. By that time the employee had walked away. I was annoyed because when she came back she completely ignored me and handed someone else their order and walked away. I don't understand why they keep the completed orders way behind the counter if they don't even verify the correct person is picking up... after being skipped over twice I finally cut in and interrupted the other employee for my order and she was like oh... sorry it's melted. Like yeah it's been sitting there and I didn't want to go into the employee area to get it! That was really irritating. The ube flavor was bland. It tasted like milk, I did not get any ube flavor. The custard in the taiyaki was just okay. The worst part was that the taiyaki had a really off putting taste on the outside... almost like the aftertaste of margarine or something, it bothered me. Overall the flavor and service was lacking and the experience inside was not good. I was not impressed by any aspect and would not recommend this place unless you were already dining in this plaza and wanted to just walk over.

The cheapest and simplest one is the Portuguese egg tart and the more fancy ones are either $1.75 or $2. I tried all of them: Portuguese egg tart, cheese tart, caramel croissant tart, tiramisu tart, berry tart, and coconut tart (my favorite). We also got the salted egg yolk croissant for only $1 which is a steal although I wish it was a tad bit sweeter to balance out the salt. It was a smooth process to go in and buy. They also have a variety of specialty desserts that are in the $8 price range if you want something more extravagant. I tried the King Panda which was filled with cream cheese mousse. There's both indoor and outdoor seating, but more of the latter. We went on a Saturday and it was pretty packed but we managed to snag a seat.

They are decent as well. It is the main lure. The cute cakes are "Asian cute", like you would know this is from a Chinese bakery kind of vibe. IMO they are overprice / maybe overrated and I think they only appeal to people who like these kind of cute stuff or maybe kids. otherwise I would pass on these overpriced themed cakes. The service is decent. The store seems clean. On the weekends, there probably would be lines but on weekdays they are less busy. I personally would not choose to wait in long lines for this. There is nothing extraordinary really. I'll come back for the egg tarts if I am in the area and perhaps try their coffee next time. Just as a side note, as of now, this bakery is located next to an abandoned burger joint Which hasn't operated or maintained for years. The portion of the shared parking lot has overgrown vegetation, and sometimes you would see "questionable " characters hanging around the establishment. this Is beyond the bakery's control. Good luck people :)

We had to circle the area a few times to find street parking. It would be nice if they had a designated parking lot in addition to street parking because some of the businesses around there had that. Most of the cakes cost $9+ and the sandwiches were $10+! Got the Egg Heaven Sandwich ($13) and it was pretty much an egg salad sandwich. The bread didn't taste fresh and was quite dry. I was expecting the bread to be soft and fluffy but that wasn't the texture at all. The egg salad was quite heavy on mayonnaise and had too much pepper for my preference. Overall, I wasn't impressed with the sandwich unfortunately. The Sunny Side Up (Coconut Mango Mousse Cake) - $9.50 - was delicious! Love how it was nicely packaged in a cute tin!
