I was excited to try this ice cream shop out since it's similar to Somi Somi, so I went with my brothers after we finished dinner. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a small shop with a few tables, but luckily, we came at a time when it wasn't too crowded.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We ordered the ube and matcha swirl as well as a taiyaki with cookie butter. The cashier was quick and friendly. Total came out to $9 which is pricey in my opinion, but I thought the taste would make up for it. Ube and matcha swirl: Honestly, the ice cream was just okay. I definitely could taste the ube flavor, but the matcha flavor was weak. Additionally, the ice cream was not creamy. It was slightly icey. Somisomi's ice cream is much creamier, so I was disappointed with With Love's quality. Taiyaki with cookie butter: I really liked their taiyaki! It was crispy and slightly sweet. The cookie butter was great, but I just wish there was more filling. I do think their taiyaki is better than Somisomi's! Overall, With Love was a nice place to try for the first time, but I don't think I'll be back. I still prefer Somisomi, especially since they are actually cheaper than With Love with better quality.
After having a really good meal at Golden deli, we went next door to with love for dessert. The eight of us split 10 pieces of Taiyaki. Different fillings such as custard, cheesecake, and about eight other choices make for a really delicious dessert. Highly recommend it
Amazing taiyaki spot! There's not too many in the SGV and they offer them at such an affordable price with tons of filling options. We also got a plain milk soft serve and it was probably one of the creamiest milks soft serve we've ever had. The self serve toppings bar is also a nice touch. The taiyaki came out pretty quick as well and [[HIGHLIGHT]]they are located right next to golden deli, perfect to spot to grab some dessert after a warm bowl of pho.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]This was our second visit here, and once again the service and ambience were very welcoming.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a smaller dessert spot with about 3-4 tables available, but it gives off a cozy and chill vibe that we really enjoyed.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] This time we got the half-and-half milk and ube ice cream with taiyakis filled with: * taro * red bean * custard * cheesecake * nutella And honestly... I was really surprised that the cheesecake filling was actually delicious! Creamy, smooth, and definitely something I'd order again. The taiyaki itself was warm with that nice slight crisp on the outside, and paired perfectly with the ice cream. Overall, such a fun spot for dessert and definitely a must-try if you're craving taiyakis and ice cream. Happy eats!
My boyfriend and I came to With Love for some desserts. This plaza is really busy and parking is tight, sharing its' parking lot with Golden Deli and Bopomofo. They were really busy but the staff was really nice and efficient. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There are a few tables inside the quaint dessert shop.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My boyfriend and I shared a Taiyaki Ice Cream ($7.95) with custard filling and ube soft serve. We also got some of the Taiyakis ($7.20 for 3) and opted for the custard, cheesecake, and cookie butter. Since it was busy and we knew it would take a while so we browsed the other retail businesses nearby. I noticed how considerate the staff was, as she waited for us to come back to dispense our soft serve ice cream, so it doesn't get soggy. It was much appreciated. I also notice that they premade some taiyaki shells for the soft serve ahead of time to cool so it doesn't melt the ice cream, but it lacks the warmness of a fresh taiyaki that the regular taiyakis have. I'm glad we got both to experience the best of both worlds. I can definitely see us coming back when we're in the area since we enjoyed the treats and the service is so considerate. Excited to try the new flavors they have in the future.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The store was, as always, clean, tidy and well-put together.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The lady at the cash register was fast and efficient and I was able to, once more, get a taste of one of the best ice cream shops in all of the SGV. The Pure Milk is my favorite flavor but I've had friends try ube and matcha and it seems like they also do those well. There's also unlimited toppings, which is a nice touch, but honestly, the ice cream portion is big enough that even with a moderate amount of toppings, you'll be quite full. Also, highly recommended to not just get the ice cream by itself, but to also get the taiyaki with it. 10/10, highly recommended!!

The family wanted something sweet after dinner so we came here. Always greeted by a smiling face and the delicious aromas of taiyakis in this small, bright, airy shop. Hubby and I got the ube and matcha soft serve and our son got the matcha soft serve with sso teok taiyaki. I also got the Dubai pistachio mochi. That was absolutely delicious! Love the amount of kaitafi and pistachio cream was given with the chewy mochi skin dusted with cocoa powder was the perfect combo, not too sweet and more crunch than the actual Dubai chocolate itself.

My favorite was the Nutella and cookie butter. There was a line out the door for the entire time we were there and they were cranking out sweets the entire time. I was on a sugar high but well worth it. Plenty of strip mall parking and they have street parking too. Come and get your taiyaki and pineapple dole fix.
Came last night & the service was good, the cashier was nice and she was quick to make our order fresh while assisting other customers I like how fresh the taiyakis were & how many filling toppings they had! My favorite filling was the Nutella and custard We got the pineapple, pure milk, & ube icecream. My favorite was the pure milk as it wasn't too sweat but felt like a classic I like how they have their own self serve topping station
I absolutely love their pineapple dole whip It's so delicious! I think this is one of the few places in SGV that offers pineapple dole whip, it's so good. Taiyaki is also one of my favorites. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I recommend this little shop, it's always packed with people who enjoy their taiyaki.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The taiyaki is so crispy and delicious, I often order it and then go back to pick it up because parking is difficult there. But I still recommend it to anyone who loves sweets, it's definitely worth a visit.

The ice cream is so yummy! I got the matcha and pure milk. My honey got the pineapple, but I didn't get to try his. The matcha w/ red bean taiyaki is good, but it doesn't need the extra flair, honestly. So tasty on its own. I'm not a huge ice cream fan, but this was really enjoyable. Service was quick too, if that is important to anybody. Definitely will come back! read more

[[HIGHLIGHT]]It looks aesthetically appealing in their photos online but it wasn't as good as it looked.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Saw this off Yelp so decided to try it. We were the only customers. The girl working the counter was a young girl just getting by her summer day job. She was nice but timid. It was our first time there and a little more energy on her end could've been better. Ordered the ube swirl, pineapple dole whip, mung bean taiyaki, and a custard one togo. The taiyaki that goes onto the ice cream is a lot bigger than one we ordered to go. I thought it would be as big, but when I got it, it was so much smaller and flat. Also, the taiyaki that goes on top of the ice cream was old. It had been sitting there for a while or was made earlier as it was hard and difficult to bite. The red bean inside I also assumed was a paste like how they make the Japanese version, however there were whole pieces in there. It was okay, but I thought they'd be like paste. Overall, the only thing that was good was the ube swirl and the pineapple dole whip. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was also extremely warm in the shop, like no AC in the triple digits summer heat. My partner discovered With Love while we were in the area, and we're glad we stopped by for a sweet treat. I ordered the Pineapple Dole Whip, and it was delicious! The presentation was so picture-perfect that it honestly looked like it belonged on the cover of a dessert magazine. I spent a few seconds debating whether to eat it or admire it. Thankfully, I chose the right option--it did not disappoint! Parking was easy, which is always a bonus. If I had one suggestion, it would be the atmosphere. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The shop felt a little warm and stuffy during our visit, and I think some air conditioning would make the experience much more comfortable.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The décor could also use a little refresh to make the space feel as vibrant and inviting as the desserts themselves.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Overall, the dessert was excellent, and I'd definitely stop by again the next time we're in San Gabriel. Sweet treats from a small ice taiyaki shop. Went on a weekday after lunch - parking was pretty easy in the plaza. Wasn't too busy as school was not out yet. Ordered a vanilla ice cream with red bean taiyaki. My friends ordered an ube version and a matcha green tea ice cream. Was all pretty good for the price. ONE OF THE FEW ASIAN SOFT SERVES AND TAIYAKI IN 626 the service was really friendly and we loved the unlimited toppings deal! Got the milk soft serve, a mozzdog taiyaki, and a taro slushie and they were all yummy. The soft serve was more icy than creamy, but we overheard from somebody that it is usually more creamy. Also the taro slush was not bad , wish I could have boba with it. As for the taiyaki, that was delicious and warm!! Love the mochi texture with the cheese. Best tayaki EVER! For those of you that have tried this before, it's usually more of a bread texture, the way they do it here is a mochi mix! When I bit in I was definitely in for a surprise, used to the breading and used to the filling but not the awesome mochi texture! I've tried just about every filling here including the Savory ones and they're all delicious! Love that on a few of them they will overfill to give you this yummy crispy border. With Love was a perfect after dinner sweet treat. Parking can be a little difficult in the lot since it's located in a very busy plaza. Street parking is available, if needed. Kids that work at With Love are very polite and have great customer service skills. Sadly, that is hard to find nowadays. It was quite refreshing. We ordered a dole whip cup and a cup of vanilla/matcha swirl with a custard filled taiyaki. The soft serve isn't overly sweet, which I find more enjoyable. Parking: There's a parking lot. There's always at least one or two parking spaces available. Pretty popular place, there were quite a few people ordering and waiting inside the store. 1-2 tables and seating inside. Place is a bit cramped to eat inside. What makes this place unique is their unlimited toppings self serve bar. Honestly the soft swirl is so good you don't need toppings. Taiyaki, Soft Swirl Pineapple and Milk: Milk was so light, not that sweet, and so creamy, highly recommend! Pineapple: Tasted like dole whip. I would not recommend getting the milk and pineapple swirl together because the pineapple overpowers the milk flavor. Taiyaki on soft swirl, no filling: Taiyaki was really hard. Such a Sweet Experience - Literally and Figuratively! With Love is amazing! The ice cream is absolutely delicious, and the free toppings are such a fun touch. We tried the soft serve with the Nutella-filled waffle fish (I can't remember the name, but you HAVE to get it!)--so good! What really stood out, though, was the kindness of the staff. The male worker last night was incredible. Even while closing, he went out of his way to let people waiting in front know they didn't have to leave. He was so kind and welcoming, which honestly made our experience even better. Little things like that make a huge difference. With Love is perfect on a hot day. A small shop with other popular shops around which compliments well to With Love. Parking is free but could get busy with all the other shops around. Many can park on the street for free or the plazas adjacent. Interior is small but very clean, only one table is available but it's quite cramped so many enjoy/wait for their ice cream outside. I was most excited for their flavored taiyaki as a extra to the ice cream as their taiyakis come in many flavors. I chose the custard as the filling which mixed super well with the matcha ube swirl, super refreshing, creamy, and tasty. Not too sweet but has great balance for this style of ice cream. There's a self serve station on the side and you're able to get unlimited toppings (many options) for your ice cream, a nice complimentary to the order. With love is super affordable as prices are under $10 for most ice creams, and they even have drinks menu in which I'm excited to try the next times I visit again. Staff is friendly and great with recommendations, 10/10 dessert shop. read more

Tried this spot and loved it! The soft serve was delicious with huge portions, definitely big enough to share with a friend. I'm so happy to have Dole Whip in the neighborhood now. First time visit. The people are so nice and friendly and helpful. Lots of filling choices for taiyaki. We ordered one of our favorite pairings: nutella with milk soft serve. Tried taiyaki with the cheesecake filling for the first time. Very happy to discover this perfectly sized and not too sweet treat! The ice cream was handed to us right after we paid--super quick service. The shop itself is cute and cozy, perfect for families to enjoy a treat together. After dinner, we popped over here for dessert when we saw they had taiyaki. It was pretty busy on a Saturday night, but we managed to get a table outside. They offer both soft serve, taiyaki, and drinks. I got the Taiyaki Ice Cream ($7.70), which comes with a cup of soft serve topped with a taiyaki and filling. I chose the custard filling, which was delicious. The soft serve is so creamy and the milk flavor was spot on --loved it! I wish they paired the swirl for milk with matcha instead though. Also, pretty cool that they offer free toppings (except the station was pretty messy and people were just pouring spoonfuls into their cup). It seemed unsanitary, so maybe have an employee serve it instead. read more
