What We Ordered: -Chamangos $7.50 -Nieves $3.00 -Nieves $3.00 I had heard of Garcia's Fruits for a while, but we finally visited recently. We wish we had come sooner! We were clearly missing out; it's less than a 15-minute drive from our home. I love supporting local, family-owned businesses, especially when they offer great quality at such affordable prices. The "Nieves" are only $3, and you can choose any two flavors. That's a steal compared to the big chains, which charge around $7 for two scoops. The portions are generous, enough for sharing! They offer Chamoy or Tajin on top. My wife had chocolate, and my son got strawberry; they both loved how smooth the ice cream was. I was told their ice cream is either water or milk-based. I'd heard the Chamangos were a must-try, and that's an understatement. I asked the staff for recommendations, and she was incredibly sweet and helpful. I asked her to pick her top three flavors, and she chose lime, watermelon, and mango - they were excellent! I added Chamoy and a bit of Tajin. We're definitely coming back; I will absolutely get Chamangos again!

Best chamangos, hands down. This is my go-to every time I'm craving one. They're not like the usual chamangos you find everywhere; they use their own fruit ice cream and it makes them next level. So good, so flavorful... honestly bombbbb.

Love getting their chamangos! It's sweet, spicy and hint of sour. They give you a decent portion too. It even comes with a tamarindo straw. It's a perfect dessert if you're craving something sweet and sour.

I was staying in El Monte and got recommended this gem by my friend who's a local. I knew I had to try it immediately and that's what my boyfriend and I did. Store was small and service was great. My boyfriend got the chamango with mango and pineapple ice cream. This is probably the best chamango I've ever had in my life. It took me back to my childhood where I would always get a chamango with my friends after school. The ice cream was not too sweet and there were also mango chunks at the bottom which were divine. I got the elote in a cup which was really good. It had tons of butter and cheese. I'd love to come back whenever I can but I recommend anyone who's in the area to try this place if they haven't.

Cash preferred to avoid $1 charge on card transactions. I've been coming here for almost a decade and it's still great. I mainly come here for their Chamango, they let you chose as many flavors of sorbet you want. They don't recommend milk based flavors as it will curdle when they squeeze lime over top. If you just want regular scoops of ice cream, they're extremely affordable. $1 per scoop but minimum of 2 scoops.

The ice cream is good in my opinion and the people working there are always kind. My family and I always come here after coming from the park or a winning soccer game.

Located inside a plaza on Garvey Ave, a couple of stores down from Mr. Baguette is a hidden gem. I use to come here after school with my aunt. Our way home, we would always get their mangonada. Glad to see they're still in business after all these years. They charge $1 if you use credit/debit, so being cash if you don't want the charge! Staff were attentive and friendly. When it comes to mangonada, this place probably one of the best! Their ice cream is smooth and it doesn't taste water down compared to other places.

What a cool hidden gem/neighborhood spot! I think I stumbled upon this place via TikTok (thank you to the creator for putting me on!). They are so sweet and friendly here! The prices are insanely good - $1 per scoop of ice cream! I got the Mango and Guava with chamoy topping for only $2! I wanna come back to try the other items on their menu, I was a bit intimidated by the menu as a non-Spanish speaker tbh, but I'm sure they'll be happy to give you recommendations!

I have been coming to Garcia's since I was in the third grade. I'm now 22 and I'm still going strong. The ice cream is a constant craving for me, I always feel welcome when I go so the service is good, and I just all around love the vibe of the place. Th smell specifically takes me back to when I was a kid. I love this place so much

I have been enjoying Garcia's fruits since they started out of the of their truck & years later they still don't disappoint. I love their chamango but even just the nieve by itself is amazing! The line is almost always long but it moves very quickly, but even if it doesn't trust me they are worth the wait!! The inside seating area is very small and is usually packed with people waiting to order so I always get my order to go. Everyone there is very nice and they will let you sample the ice cream if you're unsure of what to order. It's the perfect treat on those hot Cali days!

Ahh I love this place. I been hooked since day one. Their raspados are so good and you have the option to add a scoop of ice cream! Yummm! The esquite is SO good. It's fresh corn!! Not canned corn. The ice cream is so good and taste so fresh. So refreshing during summer time. The diablitos are one of my favorites. You can pick different flavors for it. I have tried the mango, vanilla, watermelon, lemon, guava. All so good. The fresas con crema are okay, just depends on how you like the cream because it was not runny. It was more of a thicker consistency. I think their ice creams are a decent price. We paid 40$ for all this and I think it was the fresas and esquite that were the most pricey. The service is good. I've gone on a busier day too and they are nice, never rude. Definitely recommend!

It felt like they either made it way too early and left it out, or put it in a fridge that wasn't cold enough, so it ended up melting. Overall, very disappointing because I had to put it in the freezer to freeze it which ruined the textures of some of the toppings because it became too frozen while the açaí was still not frozen enough. The service is also alright, nothing too substantial. I just had issues with the açaí bowl.
