The lady here was so friendly and kind, and she let me pick whatever fruits I wanted for my order. I picked strawberries, bananas and mango. The cream they put on top tastes heavenly and the fruits are so fresh. Combined with the classic shredded coconut, raisins, and granola, this dessert was just perfect and hit the spot. I guess there was a change in ownership and or name. I hadn't Been here in about 2.5 years. The place was almost the same but when I used to go before the fruit was always plenty and looked fresh. This time there were some trays super low in fruit. The lady that helped me was not very friendly. She's what we call "DESPOTA". It's sad when you come across someone that's a bit rude or not very happy to help you especially when I was being super nice to her. Who knows, maybe she was having a bad day. Hopefully she's not always this way. I got 2 bionicos. A small and a medium. I asked for the toppings and creme separate so that they wouldn't get soggy since I was driving to my friends place to eat them there. Before when I used to go all the time, I looked forward to going back lol but now honestly, the experience wasn't too pleasant so I will probably not be going back. read more

I love this place, My coworkers and I frequently come here. I used to buy their "diet plate" until I gained weight on it. It comes with a pretty big sandwich and bionico. Mind you, you don't have to get it with the crema and could substitute cottage cheese or non-fat yogurt in its place, but why? The fruit is usually fresh. The servings are big and generous. I think there was a change in ownership or something like that recently. I've been coming to this place for a long time and the fruit always looked fresh and I was able to order my bionicos whatever way I wanted. Today 01/30 I came in to buy a few bionicos for my kids and myself afterschool and the girl that was helping me at keep on saying "oh no, I can put that on your bionico" "oh no, that doesn't go on the bionico"........Like what the heck, I used to always get my bionicos and added mango to them or I would just get on some of them strawberries, bananas and apples but I guess now they just give you want they want. Sorry, but I just said thank you and walked out. I'll be taking my business elsewhere, girl was rude (not friendly at all) and seemed like she didn't want to be there. My husband , kids and I used to like coming here but I don't think we'll be coming back again, maybe that's the reason why the placed looked empty. read more

I've been to this place twice, the first time I was pleased with my order and service. I ordered a bionico and free agua fresca with the check in. I returned for a second time to try their nachos and checked in again for the water and this time I was completely disappointed. The nachos were a waste of $5, the cheese they use is nasty so it turned into a disgusting soggy blob. Then for the water the lady and I did have a misunderstanding, the water I ordered I asked if it was watermelon. She said yes and gave me the two ingredients in every water but that one just watermelon. After I had a small sip I noticed it had pineapple, which I'm allergic to. I asked if it had pineapple to the other lady working, she answered with the "duh" tone that it's watermelon and pineapple. I asked her if I could change it because I'm allergic and my face swell up, she was really rude about it telling me next time ask first, which I did! People are normally nicer about it cuz they understand allergies are serious but this lady seemed like she just wanted me to take that water. Over experience sucked because my sister got a chamango that was nasty too. Will not return. Forgot to mention the lady after me ordered a torta and i saw the nasty old lettuce the rude lady took out to use for the torta, gross. read more

Have you ever read that when someone else makes a sandwich for you it tastes better? Well this is definitely the case with this place. I've been hooked on their Turkey sandwich. It is so good just to be toasted sandwich. The juices are pretty good too. I've been ordering the verde something which is a green juice. I tried the watermelon agua fresca yesterday and it was really good and refreshing especially since it was 99° outside. But I'm trying to avoid sugar so I won't be having that often. They also have a rewards program but I noticed that only the young girl offers the points to me. The other ladies are very nice too but maybe they forget about that promotion....no biggie. I also love that I can call and order ahead. Saves me time since I'm on my lunch break. By the time I get there my juice and sandwich are already made. The only downfall is that it's a little on the pricey side. $13-$15 for the Turkey sandwich and small/medium juice. So I can't afford to go there every day but I'd love to. This is absolutely one of my go to places for a quick pick up lunch. read more

This is my first time having bionicos but damnnnn I'm a fan. This is what happens when you work in El Monte. Spoiled with bomb mexican food. I already hear my inner healthy self yelling at me but whatevs. LOL The place is really clean and the two ladies who helped me were really kind. I got the small bionicos for $5. It is a bit pricey for fruit but they LOAD it up here. I didn't know what to get so i just got the variety of fruits which are : Papaya Apples Cantaloupe Bananas Strawberries Grapes I like fruit so I didn't mind these options buuuut the best ones are the strawberries and bananas though (: The crema was really sweet and the coconut and granola are BOMB. warning if you have a nut allergy they have almonds in their granola here! I don't review a place until I've eaten there twice. So it's time for me to write a review since I've been here 10+ times :) I love this place. I always get the bionico, large, with just strawberries and bananas, or with all of the fruit. Then I usually get the green juice which contains kale, celery, spinach and your typical green juice ingredients. I also get a small of their agua fresca, which is soooooo delicious. One of my favorite agua frescas that they have is the Grape & Spinach, followed by the Strawberry, and then the Oatmeal. All of them taste natural and not derived from syrups and processed sugar. The Strawberry Agua Fresca tastes like someone taking a giant strawberry and just squeezing the juices out of it, if that's a good example. And this place is CLEAN. I always see them sweeping or wiping down tables constantly. When I drop a strawberry on the table, I am not afraid of picking it up and eating it. The staff is SUPER friendly. The first time I went into the store, I had a hard time discerning the menu and one of the ladies kept giving me samples of juices to see what I liked. They always greet me with a smile and some of the English speaking staff go out of their way to help me order. read more

Was in the area and in the mood for a bionico. Yelp led me to this gem and it's definitely worth a visit if you are in the neighborhood. First off, the place is CLEAN!! And the staff is super friendly. I ordered the combo, which includes a sandwich (I chose turkey) and fruit. The sandwich is toasted on a panini grill but the bread is put in dry so it's healthy-eating friendly. There was some sort of jalapeño spread/mix used and it was delish!! The fruit can be served as plain fruit salad or with a topping of yogurt, crema, or cottage cheese. I opted for crema and all the toppings. All the fruit was very fresh and the lady was more than happy to accommodate my request for no papaya or banana. While I waited for my sandwich to be made, I was offered samples of the aguas frescas. All were very tasty and not overly sweet, prices start and just over $1. I was very tempted to add one to my order, but didn't. Will definitely return to try other stuff on the menu. read more

Wow the owner is now lying and said he cut the mangos for me when he in fact did not. He replied to my review and said he spoke to all of his workers about the situation, why would you have to talk to them if you were there cutting my mangos at the time? The owner is also saying that they would of offered to make me a new one free of charge if I did not walk out with my water. I did not walk out, I ordered a red and green drink in which I paid for. The owner of this establishment is a lier and no one offered to make me a new one instead I received a nasty attitude from the old lady making my bonico and left with the 2 drinks I paid for. They're very particular with how their customers like certain foods and they go OUT OF THEIR way to please every customer. This place is definitely a hidden gem, and I owe yelp much gratitude for helping me discover it. The menu here is simple. Red juice, Green juice, and orange juice. Each category of color offers delicious fruits within. My personal favorite is the green juice with Kale. Check out the picture of the menu I have included. Lastly, the guys that work here and the customers who come in are all Super friendly and helpful. Wonderful place to get some healthy fruit y aguas frescas! The lady who was working kept offering samples of everything! :D My boyfriend and I tried their fruita con crema and it was delicious! The crema was perfectly thick and sweet. Mmm... I also loved this green drink she gave us. Idk what it was but it was sweet and didn't taste like the color looked at all. A medium size of fruta con crema was $6 even. A good size since she topped it off so much. They also sell hot food here like hot dogs, sandwiches, and some other things I can't remember.
