Got a beef and a chicken empanada. Not bad. The wrapper was more firm than flaky. The edges were crunchy. The meat was seasoned well. For my personal taste, I would have preferred a little less sugar. Service was very friendly and prompt. No issues on parking.

First time trying Tito's and I must say, great tasting subs! We got the Submarine sub. Seating is limited but worth the wait. Very fast service and friendly staff. The market is also very convenient for running in quickly. Definitely worth a try when passing through El Monte

4/22/26 Tito's Market El Monte, CA...I came here with some friends to get some quick items. I got jalapeño Poppers, chicken wings, 2 beef/2chicken Empanadas, and fries. Everything was so yummy! Workers here were so nice and helpful. It brought back some childhood memories of El Monte even though this was my first time at this Tito's!!! Old school feel to the look of the place!I highly recommend!

Great fresh sandwiches, meats always tender and the toppings are good. Extra chilis at no cost if you like it spicy. Fries are battered and delicious.

My wife brought home a dozen empanadas several years ago and I thought they were not my cup of tea. Now that I had a chance to actually get the empanadas fresh, my whole world changed and now I'm hooked. The cashier takes your order and gives you a receipt with a number on it. I also ordered a couple milenesa sandwiches, which are flattened a breaded steaks on a sandwich, which I already knew would be good. The ambiance is that of a Jewish Deli, except more Latin customers. Overall, a clean restaurant with a strong following of local and distant fans!

Great value local Argentine market and deli in El Monte. I went here on a Sunday at 3pm and even then, there was a long line, so I cannot imagine how busy it gets during lunch hours. It was about a 15 min wait for lining up to order and getting the food. The good thing is a lot of their stuff is made in batches in anticipation of upcoming orders. We got the milanesa de res (steak), hot pastrami sandwich, beef empanada, and chicken empanada. Price was pretty good as it was less than $30 for everything, and it was fairly filling. The sandwich comes as small and large, and even the small was a respectable size (the large looks super huge and is a bit better value, but we were aiming on variety than value this time). The milanesa is a thinly fried steak with bread, so it was a bit dry, but the peppers (requested on the side) enhanced the flavors. The hot pastrami sandwich is solid - lots of meat. I am not as big of a fan of pickle and mustard but it did mesh the flavors well. The empanadas were large for $3 so I would definitely order those again. The chicken is a bit sweet while the beef is pretty juicy. Overall, no frills and good value restaurant.

This place never disappoints. IYKYK. This has been an El Monte SGV staple for many years. Sandwiches are fire. All the sides are great. Next time you find yourself eating n the area. Stop by. The service is fast. The dining room is clean if you choose to dine in. Overall at 10+

Tito's market isn't just a market it's also a little deli with hot sandwiches. There's always a wait for great sandwiches. The wait wasn't too long for a late lunch sandwich, maybe 10 minutes for a small sandwich. I got the chicken sandwich this time around, nice crispy chicken with toasted bread and shredded lettuce. I was planning on taking it home to eat but just inhaled it in the car.

Yeah the sandwiches are delicious. The large size for sandwiches really are HUGE in my opinion, which I love. Get the chile on the sandwiches! Makes it even yummier.

This was my first visit to this small Argentinean market. My wife loves their Jamon sandwiches, and she's purchased meats from the butcher counter in the past. On this visit, we specifically went to purchase a couple Entraña steaks (Skirt Steaks) for the 4th of July weekend. While there, we also picked up several Argentinian Sausages to grill, as well as a couple of their Beef Empanadas. They also sell an amazing chimichurri, which I believe that they make there. Small market with many ethnic items that can't be found in the regular grocery stores, and all their products are of good quality. There's a small indoor seating area if you want to dine there, but I observed most people taking their food/groceries to go. We'll continue to shop here for those specialty items and the meats. Highly recommend.

Tito's is a local deli and small market with some can goods, pastas, coffee, soft drink, beer and wine. Their specialty is the Empanadas, hot and cold sandwiches. Expect to wait, customers bring the family to dine in. The Cashier will take your name, food order, and payment then call you when it's ready. They are quick and have an organized process. I ordered two turkey and cheese sandwiches one large and a medium to go. There are a few tables if you rather stay and eat on the premises. The sandwiches are on a 8" or 12" roll. MENU HIGHLIGHTS: -Empanadas ( Beef, Chicken or Cheese) - This is a solid choice, handmade, fresh and tasty. -Sandwiches (Pastrami, Beef Milanesa, Turkey). Sincerely, Rosemary

Malbec is a perfect place to celebrate a Quinceanera, a non-Kosher Bar Mitzvah, a Golden Shower Retirement, a Gender Reveal, a Gender Conceal or that your substandard Insurance Co. will actually pay for your GPL-1 meds which you might need after over eating great food here. The patio outside is good if the tango loop inside is too loud, but then you're just trading that for unmuffled mufflers and exhaust fumes. At 5:00 PM it's just you and the Chorizo Sampler which is worth it's weight in Statins. The place reinvents itself by 8:00 PM when the chatter ratchets up and the dining room becomes a B. A. The Malbec Salad was large enough to feed everyone in the Recoleta at sundown. Fresh Romaine, Radicchio, Goat Cheese crumbles, a hand carved Avocado fan (I'm a big fan of that), quartered Cucumber Coins, Frisee Lettuce, a sizable slice of toasted Bread, the large mound is mixed with a Caesar-ish Dressing and the whole pile is fresh, refreshing, tasty and a great dish to begin your dinner with. The menu is ambitious to say the least. Heroic lists of Appetizers, Pastas, Pizza, Mains, Seafood, Steaks, Sides, Sauces and Desserts. The Kitchen is fearless because they know they can crank out everything on the menu properly. And you know, they can. I opted for Pollo Las Hierbas (Herb Roasted Chicken), spatchcocked (back cone removed and the whole half Chicken squashed flat for quick and easy grilling). Did I mention that the portions are substantial? They are. The Chicken begins it's journey soaking in Lemon and Herbs. For an additional $2 you can bury the whole bird with Diabla Sauce. (read Spicy Chili Gravy). This Sauce would be delicious over julienned Gym Socks or Dust Bunnies. The welcome heat is delicious even if you're timid with spice. The Chicken arrives tender but with crisp edges, juicy and tasting like Chicken could and should taste. While the Chicken was definitely marinated it's hard to determine if it was brined first. No matter as it was spot on great. The Chicken Chef was not chicken and got it right. The Sauteed Spinach retained it's Spinach integrity and was fished out of the water while still slightly toothy. Excellent. The Kitchen elevated Spinach beyond Pop-Eye's power surge urge. This was beyond just a Side Dish. Vegans, have at it. The Roasted Potatoes were also good enough to enjoy as a Main. We both had the ribeye steak, Sheri had to Costillo and I had the Gaucho. We both loved our steak as they were both tender and flavorful. For the Gaucho, I really enjoyed the Anaheim pepper and other accoutrements and we'll get this the next time as well. The meal includes two sides. We both had mashed potatoes and I had a salad and she had asparagus. We had a server in training who was very attentive as well as the supervising server. We sat in the patio, which was nice. There was plenty of room very nice ambience. Relatively easy street parking. It was a nice visit for both of us. We will be back for sure.

LALAs had us fooled at first bite and the service quickly followed…read more.. The very first thing our server asked wasn't what we wanted to drink or if we'd ever been there before--it was, "Are you guys here to watch the game?" We immediately told him, "No, we're here for the food." Looking back, that should've been the first warning sign. They brought out fresh bread with chimichurri, and honestly, it was delicious. It got us excited because we thought- maybe this place really did deserve the hype. That excitement lasted about five minutes. We asked our server what everyone comes here for, and without hesitation he said the skirt steak. Since we wanted to try their specialty- meats, we ordered the Plato Mixto, one of their premium platters. It came with skirt steak, New York steak, Argentine "Italian" sausage, half a chicken, and sweetbreads. It's already one of the most expensive items on the menu, yet they still upcharge an extra $4 per side, if you want one of the "premium" sides. At that price, you'd expect everything to be included and quality to be exceptional. For the sides, we chose the grilled veggies, which the server said included eggplant, zucchini, tomato, onions, mushrooms - basic veggie mix and LALAs Potatoes, described as "Mashed Potatoes & Carrots." We figured that meant mashed potatoes served with carrots, or maybe mashed potatoes with pieces of carrot mixed in. Instead, it was one orange puree--mashed potatoes blended together with carrots. No flavor. If that's what you're serving, just describe it that way. The menu there was very misleading. Then came the sweetbreads. We had to ask our server twice what they actually were because he couldn't explain it clearly. Eventually he described them as "lymph nodes." Whether that's technically accurate or not, that's probably not what anyone expects to hear after taking a bite. Then we actually started eating. The Argentine sausage had a strange, almost spoiled flavor. When we mentioned it, instead of acknowledging our concern, our server doubled down and told us it was supposed to taste "rancid." I've eaten authentic Argentine food before. This wasn't it. It tasted like bad meat. The steaks were no better. We ordered medium rare, but the skirt steak was practically purple raw in the middle. Beyond that, both steaks were unbelievably tough. Every bite was a workout. For a restaurant that's supposed to specialize in grilled meats, that's inexcusable. Very low quality red meat. The chicken didn't save the meal either. I've had incredible pollo a la brasa and grilled chicken from plenty of places. This wasn't even close. It was bland, dry, and completely forgettable. When our server came back and asked how everything was, we were honest. We told him we really weren't enjoying the food. Instead of apologizing, offering another option, or trying to make things right, he doubled down again. "That's my favorite thing on the menu." Okay...and? Then he told us to squeeze a bunch of lemon over everything and brought us what felt like half a bottle of Tabasco. Think about that for a second. If the solution to your signature meats is to drown them in lemon and hot sauce just to make them edible, that's not a customer problem--that's a kitchen problem. By that point, it all clicked. The first thing he cared about was whether we were there to watch the game. We told him we came for the food, but the entire experience felt like the food was an afterthought. The service wasn't interested in listening to our concerns, only defending them. This place may be great if you're looking for drinks, sports on TV, and somewhere to hang out. But if you're coming because you've heard this is the place for authentic Argentine meats, prepare to be disappointed. The meats were tough. The sausage tasted off. The menu descriptions were misleading. The service felt more like a used car salesman trying to convince us our experience was wrong than someone who genuinely cared whether we enjoyed our meal. I don't write reviews to tear places down. I write them to help other people spend their money wisely. In this case...save yours. There's far better places to try authentic Argentine cuisine, this is not it, would not return.
