Takes credit card. Outdoor seating. Drive through and sit down Breakfast burrito with egg and cheese. Get the large 4 egg. ($8.50) Add the potatoes ($1.50) it's so good cause they good all the ingredients together and mix them. So when you take a bite, you get a mix of every flavor. Breakfast burrito -Big john $11.50- all three meats and add the potatoes $1.50. super good, large size. Really good. I would get this again

I tried the hamburger with grilled onions and it was pretty good. The set up is like in n out. They have drive thru and dine in. You dine in outside on the benches. Service was good, staff were nice. There's a charge to use credit card so bring cash.

If you're in the area and want to avoid the typical fast-food chains, Art's is a great alternative. That said, it's a bit of a mixed bag. It's better than a drive-thru, but "just okay" compared to other local favorites. The staff was standard but seemed distracted, and it definitely has that retro E-Z take-out atmosphere. Worth a stop if you're nearby, but the hype is a bit much.

Decided to come here to try out the burgers since there was quite a hype about it. The line moved pretty fast which is always awesome but besides that... I'm not sure if I'll come again. The girl taking my order wasn't the friendliest. Let her know it was our first time but she just kept a stoic face saying anything else anything else. We studied the menu beforehand but still weren't too sure. The other downside is the charge they make you pay to use your card. Come on now. It's 2026. The spread had too much onions. If you're into onions you'll def love this place. The hamburger wasn't anything special but it was not bad at all. Portions are super small. We barely got any French fries which was kind of a bummer tbh. Chili cheese fries were good too. Overall I don't think I'd come again. I'll just go to in n out. lol

We tried the breakfast burritos at Art's and they were very delicious! I got a small egg & cheese burrito and my boyfriend got the Big John Burrito with burritos (size large). I regretted getting a small on the way home but as soon as I ate my burrito I realized I made the right chose. The burritos are proportionately stuffed with tasty egg and cheese so I was satisfied and full after eating my small burrito. My boyfriend ate 1/2 of his burrito for breakfast and the other half for lunch. The staff who helped us out were very kind and polite, got us our food very quickly. I'm glad this small restaurant was able to re open after the accident that damaged their building a year or so ago. Thank you for the delicious breakfast!

Onion rings!
Mike L.

Reviews say they make their own onion rings and I believe that. Very tasty and crunch, even by themselves. For $4.10, this is a better value than any other onion ring places. 4.2/5 Yes their double cheeseburger tastes like In-n-Out because of the toasted bun, spread, fresh vegetables, and grilled onion (add both raw and grilled for max taste). The meat taste like the typical frozen patties you get at like maybe Rally's. Go here if you want a slightly cheaper In-n-Out clone ($5.90 vs $6.35) The boysenberry shake is so good, it's like a blueberryish shake with a hint of waffle cone taste. Very good for $3.55! I like that this place finally opened again but the drive-thru is long. Go park at the plaza and get your food upfront so you don't have to waste gas waiting.

Staff is quick and reliable. The restaurant is built exactly like an in n out with outdoor seating and a double drive thru. It was clean. The food was pretty expensive in my opinion for what it was. There is a credit card fee so id recommend to bring cash. I tried the cheeseburger with grilled onions and bacon which was just alright. The chili cheese fries were pretty average as well. I wish it came with more.

Art's burger is back in business! So tell a friend! Recent News Article About The Shop: https://abc7.com/post/beloved-el-monte-restaurant-arts-burgers-reopens-huge-crowds-year-car-crashed-building/18256589/ Promotion: No promotions for now. Once they get back on to their feet, they'll start their hamburger special (Wednesday and Sunday) again. As for now, they're trying to recoup the money that they lost. Background On Visit: Two weeks ago as I I was driving on Valley, I noticed there was a long line and was excited to see that they've reopened. Credit Cards: They're accepted. They have a $0.62 or $0.63 surcharge. Ambiance/Decor: Looks the same as before! :) Service: Service is the same as before. Due to staff shortage, they're closed on Tuesdays for now. You might wait longer when it's busy, but they try to pump out burgers and other food items as fast as they can. Burger Of Choice: Got the basic hamburger (no seasoning on the patty and bun extra toasted. Brought back wonderful memories of how their burgers tasted like. Would be exponentially better when they bring back their hamburger special on Wednesdays and Fridays! :) Art's Burger For Thought: Will totally come back to patronize the shop.

Parking: I would park the parking lot next over and walk over to order at the counter. The drive through was insane on a Saturday 10 AM order. Hamburger with grilled onions: Yes, it's pretty much like In N Out but without the thousand island dressing. Buns were crisp, lettuce and tomatoes were fresh and the savoriness of the patty was just right. If you want to get your In N Out fix, come here. Small Big John burrito with potato (bacon, ham and salsa): The burrito wasn't that big but it can get you pretty full. The cheese was warm and the meats were nice and juicy. This does take longer to prepare because it's not one of the more popular choices.

Came here after seeing it all over social media. It seems like parking is hard since they only have a small lot. We were lucky and found parking on the street right in front. They do have restrooms in the back and I was actually surprised by how clean it was. Seating is only outside. We waited in line for about 40 mins on a Saturday night. The burgers were really good and the fries were equally as delicious.

Ashley M.

Considered an in n out drive thru knockoff type of location. I know that arts is a staple in El Monte and people cherish it dearly but I believe the quality definitely fell off after the reopening. There was both a long line for the drive through and walk up window, in total I waited about 40 minutes. Workers try to work fast but I don't think it was fast enough. Gave 2 stars for the burger itself and price, it wasn't so steep for a combo and the burger did redeem the wait. However the fries didn't make a combo feel like a combo as I was given the tiniest portion ever + they were stale & cold. This place definitely needs a step up post reopening.

Arts has been around for years, and I'm not new to Arts, but this is my 1st review of Arts. To me, you cant go wrong with Arts. I don't know why I'm saying Arts so much. But anyway, it's like In N Out, but with a bigger menu. You definitely aren't getting Pastrami Chili Cheese Fries at In N Out, and they are REALLY good at here. I've never had anything here that wasn't good. It was closed for about 2 years because some dodo bird crashed into it, but its back open now and hasn't missed a beat

Art's Burger would be...the 1 to 1 clone of In-N-Out Burgers...and the Art family were either the equivalent to a Master Winemaker at Rutherford's Vineyards but for In-N-Out....or they were the off-branch family of the Snyders with the same Secret Sauce. Either way!..... If Private Equity company Blackstone Group decided on a whim to cut Lynsi Snyder a blank check to sellout In-N-Out (please Snyder family, never sell-out).................. Then we the food lovers need not to worry, because Arts will be carrying that torch for the title of family owned California Classic Burger with its own right to be considered better than In-N-Out. So thank you Art Meier and Co.!!! California is lucky for these types of legacies. And I needn't talk about my order, you guys can click on the pictures and use your imagination. Get in line, order, and be amazed! Can't believe NO ONE across the United States ever considered opening a direct clone of In-N-Out....and it took Lynsi Snyder to make a move to Franklin Tennessee for the hungry folk of the East Coast to finally get a taste of the California classic. Again, Art's Burgers, El Monte California...cherish this place.

It is good. It is the same price at the beef version but understandly so. The chicken meat was grilled tenderly, and the slice of ham it came with added the saltynesss the sandwich needed. Simple but effective. Also chilies adds great flavor too. You can ask for it on the side to adjust spiciness to your preference. Capicollo, one of the cold sandwich, was fine but nothing to write home about. Atlas or wings ($11.99/lb) here remind me of the ones I used to get when I was younger... I like how the spicy version is still deed fried and not saucy. (Personally prefer dry rubs.) The heat can creep up to u after a few. But not all wings are created equally, might end with with some tiny more battered ones along with regulars. Wait times can be longer during lunch times - waited 30 min for takeout during weekday lunch hour.

There's already food that is fried and ready to go when you come up to the counter apparently there's a process that it's lost on me. So I just went my own way and got in line, picked what I wanted and then paid, found a table that is first-come-first-served basis. Easy peasey. Got some cheese empanadas, chicken wings & French fries. What do that to me was the cheese and vanilla, very cheesy and savory! The fries on the other hand felt like that they were sitting there a bit, and I love fries so these kinda were a meh for me. It looks like a small cafeteria set up with the lunch lady at the counter, No muss, no fuss. Pretty good experience coz it was spent with Hubby and a very good friend. Parking is free & shared with other businesses in this plaza.

So special that it will have you coming back the next day for more. Am I speaking from experience... absolutely! Do I have any regrets about coming to grab sandwiches two days in a row... never! I ordered a tuna sandwich with the Italian pasta and it was one of the best I've ever had. The tuna is simple and made to order. Topped with avocado, sprouts, and tomato sprinkled with pepper! Pure deliciousness! Now let's talk about the Italian pasta... amazing! I'll take a whole tray! Couldn't get enough. The flavor is spot on and super light. The next day I tried the egg salad sandwich with potato salad and again one of the best I've had. Made to order egg salad is always the best. The flavor was great paired with bacon and a croissant. Truly took this sandwich to another level. Simple yet packed with deliciousness. The potato salad I hear is a family recipe and it's truly made with love. It's light, fluffy, and flavorful. All the qualities that make potato salad delicious. Lastly, I had the Montero. If you want a hearty sandwich this is your jam. It's really really really good. I've never had anything like this, but I'm glad I did. It's one of those sandwiches you didn't know you needed in your life. The carnitas are so good paired with the caramelized onions... yum! Definitely a sandwich worth trying and telling all your friends about. Overall, this sandwich spot is truly an excellent experience. They have perfected the art of sandwich making and I can't wait to come back to try the rest of the sandwiches! Thank you again for the wonderful service and the delicious sandwiches. I definitely will be back!

Now I am curious on all the words after "Banh Mi". Btw, "Banh Mi" means sandwich in Vietnamese. Parking lot is quite tiny with maybe 15 spots, but we got lucky and snatched one spot upon arrival. Street parking may be available though. It's a small sandwich shop with a few tables/chairs outside and limited table and bar stool seating inside. What I find oddly interesting are the dried up plants at one corner of the wall. Not sure if they just wanted to put something there to take up space... at least have lively plants. They were super busy. Gentleman staff was okay. Menu is limited to sandwiches and cold/hot drinks. They also sell snacks and other dry goods on the side. I got 2 banh mi - 1 dac biet special and 1 grilled pork plus 1 Vietnamese iced coffee with condensed milk. Wait time was a tad longer than expected. Strangely enough, a couple customers who ordered after me got their orders before me. I had to walk up to the counter to inquiry about my order. The gentleman immediately handed my order to me without calling my number. My order was just sitting on the counter. Hmmm? Hence, 4 stars. Coffee was quite strong, but good...very authentic stuff! Banh mi were out of this world delicious! They took it to a whole different level. It was the lemongrass flavor that made it golden. Bread was light and crispy. Tons of meat with fresh veggies. SO FLAVORFULLY GOOD! Yes, I'll be back. May I receive better timely service next time. If you haven't tried Banh Mi My Tho, the time is now. Go get them elevated banh mi!
