Marko's Breakfast & Dinner in Temple City is one of those rare places. My wife and I were warmly greeted as soon as we walked in. We also had the pleasure of meeting Marko, the owner, along with his wife, Michelle, and Antonio, who was incredibly attentive throughout our visit. You can immediately tell this is a family-run restaurant where people genuinely care. The food was exceptional. I have honestly never had hash browns this fresh before. Marko explained that they're never frozen and are delivered fresh the same day. The tomatoes were equally fresh, the strawberry jam was homemade, and even the dressings are made in-house. Nothing tasted mass-produced. Every bite reflected the care that went into it. Our food took a little longer to arrive, and I actually appreciated that. Fresh food should take time. I'd much rather wait a few extra minutes for a meal that's made to order than have it appear instantly. The menu has plenty of choices, the prices are very reasonable for the quality, and the hospitality was just as impressive as the food. I have a lot of respect for people who spend their lives mastering what they love and eventually build something that reflects that passion. Meeting Marko gave me exactly that impression. If quality truly matters to you, give yourself the chance to eat here. It's easy to see why places like this earn the success they have. Considering there is almost always a long line and a significant wait to get a table, we expected the overall experience to be worth it. Unfortunately, for us, it wasn't. On top of that they added a 18% gratuity to the check! There are too many great Mexican restaurants with both good food and warm, welcoming service to justify the wait. We would not return by choice!

I didn't eat at the restaurant because it was hot inside so I ate it in me car with the windows rolled down and just watched the cars go by lol the guy was friendly and he has a thick accent, I thought he was middle eastern but maybe he's Latino, the place is colorful with the tables and chairs. It has a couple of games for the kids. When you buy the combo, you can also get the drinks from the refrigerator instead of the soda machine. I thought that was cool. If you guys in the area, you should come get some juicy burgers, they also have a huge selection of Mexican food too. My husband used to work at Big D's in El Monte and Art had worked there too for a moment I believe before he opened Art's Burgers Anyways, my husband does work in the City of Industry and when I have a day off from work during the week, I usually visit. Well, the day I chose to visit was the day we both agreed to get Art's. I know I miss being able to hit up the drive thru for a late night burger and chili cheese fry. I haven't found any place near me that hits the same as this place does. Burger and chili cheese fry were very good as always. Of course, before I headed home, I had to swing back to the drive thru to bring some family some food (burgers and of course the chili cheese fries). While I was waiting, Art came out and chatted with me a bit and had me laugh. He also thanked me for coming back to support the business, to which I responded I do try when I come back to the area. I know we will have future visits here and there, just not always as it's not easy to get that way all the time. I will point out the location can get quite busy and traffic is usually erratic in the area. It's almost a risk getting out of the exit side of the drive thru as cars block your vision to the left side and then you got cars coming from the right side. Other than that, I would recommend a visit to this spot when in El Monte.
