Love El Sol, I dont think I have had a single bad dish here so far. The menudo (no hominy) , the Pozole, the Tortas (of all meats), the sopes, the frijoles and arroz EVERYTHING is so good. This is very clearly a family owned and run business, patience is needed. Do not come into this place being a Karen. My sisters and I ordered and some of the food was good , my 8 yr old niece ordered menudo or pozole. My niece was hesitant in eating it and wouldn't say why . My sister asked if it was good cuz when the lady pass by with the pozole it didn't smell good , and my niece nodded it was ok. My sister tasted the pozole and the meat was bad . If my sister smelled it that it was bad , the ladies at the restaurant should have know the meat was bad. El Sol is the best. My wife and I take the 40 min drive from our house to this restaurant pretty frequently for the delicious carnitas tacos and their amazing green salsa. The women who work here are always so friendly and accommodating. We call the order in ahead of time since we order 20+ tacos, and a few burritos for the little ones and they are always ready to go when we arrive. Their green salsa is so good we have tried to replicate it at home (with no luck unfortunately ) but they are kind enough to give us two large containers of it each time we order. That salsa does not last long in our house. The restaurant is a smaller space but it is well maintained, clean and relaxed. This place is a must try if you're ever in the area. read more

It's a very small hidden spot, few tables inside but just enough space. I ordered the chilequilas, rice, and potatoes, very impressed! The potatoes were seasoned just right and the sauce on the chilequilas was great. My boyfriend ordered the menudo, said it was very flavorful & full of meat. You order at the counter and your meal is brought out to you. Most of the customers I've noticed speak Spanish (my kind of place!), but the workers speak English. I usually get the huevos con chorizo breakfast plate. I like that you can see and taste the chunks of chorizo. The re-fried beans have a good light flavor, the Spanish rice is fluffy. Instead of rice, you can opt for potatoes which taste like you would make them at home. Their horchata is creamy and refreshing, love the serving glass it comes with! A hidden diamond in a pile of fake diamonds. I ordered 2 carne asada tacos and 2 pollo tacos. Each tacos come with 2 tortilla, handmade and cooked at the time I ordered. It was stacked with so much succulent meat, I had a hard time considering it was a taco let alone one taco. The meal was outstanding, it made me feel like they imported the tacos straight out of Mexico. These tacos will make the authentic tacos look like Del Tacos. The service is amazing. They also serve fresh tortilla chips when you order. (with salsa, but i do not know if it is homemade or store brought) Served the tacos with an amazing red sauce, brings the colors out of the tacos and compliment the tacos. (the sauce is not that spicy, it just depend on how much do you want to put on it. I would recommend you trying this, but keep it on the down low. Spread it out to your friends only. I ordered an asada torta, menudo, 5 lengua tacos and 1 asada taco. The lengua was bland and they didn't even provide me any sauce. I thought the torta wasn't too bad. The only issue I had with the torta was that the meat was soo small, basically like small dots. The menudo had a burnt taste to it, hence the burnt film on the top of the soup. read more
