Sadly I haven't been here in a while. Finally came to try their breakfast. I got the pancake plate. It comes with 2 good size pancakes , 2 eggs any style, 2 bacon and 2 sausages. Good food at a good price. Service was great as well and interior is old but well kept. I'm including new menu prices as it looks like no one has posted the new updated menu prices. Food can take it awhile as they make things fresh. So if you want something quick maybe call ahead.

Brother's Burger is a true hole in the wall for carne asada fries. Here they simply call it "asada fries." It comes in a large portion so one order can comfortably feed two hungry people. The fries are thicker than from other places and taste like steak fries, which I am fine with because it means it isn't as greasy and you can actually taste the potato. The asada is not overly seasoned and has a nice charred flavor from the grill. The dish is nicely presented with plenty of guacamole sauce, and includes pico de gallo on the side for you to mix in to your desire. Since it takes 10-15 minutes for me to get to Brother's Burger, I always order by phone before I leave because that's roughly the same amount of time it takes for them to make the asada fries. I get mine to-go and ask for the green sauce, which is mild in heat. They'll hand you red sauce by default. The price as of July 2019 is $7.79 plus tax, which is a slight increase since last year. Still, that's not too shabby considering that it will fill up two people. Parking is limited because it's shared with other businesses, but there are additional parking at the rear. Inside, the restaurant resembles an old American diner and they serve a mix of Mexican and American-style foods.

I came here again recently and it was fairly busy for a Wednesday morning but I was still able to get a seat. Tried the POG and it tasted fresh but still just ok. Didn't bring me back to the islands per se. But I appreciate the effort. I got the chicken katsu loco moco. I was leaning towards the spam loco moco cause I didn't really want something fried but it was the same price so I figured the katsu was a better deal cause it's more skill. It was such a large plate. Like easily two people could share it and maybe a third. The gravy was solid. The chicken wasn't dry and was good. Spam musubi was good but I wish it was fully wrapped cause my rice broke off towards the end. I got a guava toffee French toast to go for my daughter and she said it was good but it literally just tasted like cooked bread which I guess is what French toast is but I guess when it's done right it's transformed more. This wasn't the case. She also could barely taste the guava. All in all I'd come again if someone else wanted to try it but it's not something I'll be craving or coming to when I miss the islands.

We were seated quickly on the roof, right by the fire as the sun set, which created a warm and relaxed atmosphere perfect for a memorable visit. Sammy, was our server she had the best recommendations and delivered attentive, friendly service that made the experience extra special. We started with cocktails, all fantastic, with the White Lady and Gran Sour standing out as favorites among the group. For starters, the Brussel Sprouts, grilled cheese dippers, and the bread with whipped duck fat butter were all delicious, the bread and butter being especially indulgent. For entrees, the Stroganoff was amazing--comforting and perfectly seasoned, and served in a cute Dutch oven. The pork chop with mango chutney was also outstanding, pairing well with Cajun spices. I'm already planning a return visit to try the miso brown butter chicken and to explore the dessert menu. Overall, Granville offered a superb combination of superb service, strong cocktails, and standout dishes, all enjoyed in a stunning rooftop setting. I'll definitely be back to see Sammy again and to continue exploring the menu.

We even got an order on the house. Thank you! There is also water at the counter. We ordered: Beef Wang bowl - was so good and flavorful. I would recommend any dish with beef. This place is located in a small plaza so parking could get tricky during rush hour. We arrived during an odd time of day and so there was plenty of parking for us. The interior is cozy with lots of booths and the space offers a selection of board games to play while you waited. We discovered a new board game while we were waiting too which was a plus. Our food did not take long to come out either. Tip: please respect the board games. Many of the games had ripped instructions or the box was falling apart which is just so sad. Thankfully it looked like most still had all pieces to be playable.

Ambiance alone inside is reminiscent of hanging out at boba shops growing up in the SGV: bright interior, booths and board games, Pokemon and Shrek playing on the TV such a nice vibe to chill with some friends and chat. Most shops nowadays are grab and go so this felt very nostalgic for me. Now for the real hitters: I still am unable to understand how they can serve this food at this price. Beef Wang (16.48) is one of their signature dishes. It sounds really simple on paper, stir fried meat, mushroom, and egg. That's it. I am still wondering how they were able to get such a flavorful bowl from a simple dish and on a perfectly cooked bed of way too much rice so you can enjoy leftovers at home. Super Sea Nachos (35): Our party of 5 ordered our own bowls and shared this thinning it was going to be a simple appetizer. The avocado alone we joked shoulda been 35 . An assembly of tuna, shrimp, imitation crab, with wonton nachos was the perfect fresh accompaniment with the rice bowl. They do not skimp at all on the nachos or seafood and no doubt I'd share another tray with friends another day. They are not the most extravagant dishes, but honestly the quality, comfort, ambience, and value makes this one of my favorite sit down experiences recently.
