Ok tacos for 99 cents on Wednesday. Your probably thinking what we were thinking? Are they any good? Probably small? Whats the catch? Well no catch!! not only are they really good! Super filling! They definitely hit that taco craving. And what about the deal. ( 99 cents on Wednesdays)! Customer service is a must on any given day Totally recommend this place!! Family approved!

Food: had the fish tacos that are $1.75 on fridays. They came out pretty fast and were very fresh. Double layered tortillas topped with tomatoes, cabbage, cilantro, and crema. I added some pickled onions, lemon, and the tomatillo sauce from the sides bar. Very crispy, yummy, and fresh. Service: I took the order to go. Staff were very polite and efficient, order came out in around 5 minutes. Overall, this is a very local hole in the wall shop with very reasonable prices. Would definitely come again to try the other deals and items on their menu.

Ok i really hate to do this but ima do it. I ordered the enchiladas and 2 tacos and jamaica. I walked in and it smelled like dirty mod water. The ice machine was broke and so the pulled ice from a bag into my drink. The drink was hella sweet... ok food, tacos were flavorless, and the salsa was the worse salsa i have ever had. The enchiladas were so bad as well, and i found a hair on top as soon as i open the to go box. Worse mexican food ive had. Omg.... I spent 28$ for it all as well and i dodnt even eat it. :,( . Well let me take the hit for yall and say do not go here.

Was driving around and happened to see a sign that said 75 cent tacos. What?! Cheaper than $1?!?! I have gots to try!!! I've never heard of tacos for less than $1. That's so insane!! And what's even more crazier?! They're so goooood!!!!! Give plenty of meat!!! On different days, there are different deals, but know that Sundays is 75 cents for lengua, buche, pastor, carnitas, etc. Pros: -make tacos quick! -plenty of meat -friendly service -tacos include white onions and cilantro -automatically give salsa on the side -there is some tables set up outside on the side for a quick dine-out Cons: -Sundays close at 5pm. That's sooooo early!!!! Tip: Bring cash

This has to be one of the more conflicting reviews I have for an establishment. But I got to give it straight. My foodhound cousin and I have been driving by this place for a few weeks and today we said, "Why not?" So we stopped by to order some tacos. My cousin went in and ordered while I waited in the car that needed to stay idle or we couldn't restart it again( bad battery). So I waited...and waited...and waited... "What the heck?" I wondered. Was there a huge line inside? Well my cousin came out with our order and told me that the lady that ran the counter was particularly going back and forth getting things like salsa containers, then going back to get the lids for the salsa containers, then going back to get cups for our drinks, running back to get the lids for our cups, AND then running back to get straws! Not really efficient... We go back to eat and realized that we were short 4 tacos! Not good... But the fish taco I had was pretty bomb with crunchy breaded fish, chopped cabbage, and great sauce! Also the Al pastor tacos I had was excellent with slightly fried pork, chopped onions, and cilantro. Pour some of that slightly spicy guacamole and you have a party with in your mouth! It was delish... But I must say the service was slow, inefficient, and we were shorted 4 tacos. Can't really recommend at this moment despite how tasty the tacos were. Maybe they were having an off day. But I might go back to give it another chance...but just once...

This is one of those places that a LARGE billboard style menu is not enough that they also must have hand made poster board signs posted all over the place and the one that caught my eye was "ENSENADA style Fish Tacos" so that's what I'll have.............. Ensenada style Fish Tacos? - http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/tm9RjIMY9jBhQarp6U7fkQ?select=PJZd6_18_rpE65u_jVRMLA http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/tm9RjIMY9jBhQarp6U7fkQ?select=TpPsRS7nWxtagb51oztNug http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/tm9RjIMY9jBhQarp6U7fkQ?select=aVFIhoqs5LJK9JVoqmpj1g Mmmm they look good, I ate some of the cabbage, sauce & salsa that had fallen on the plate and it was very good, THEN..................... I took a bite and their was NO CRUNCH just mushy what the hell, I clear off all the toppings with a fork http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/tm9RjIMY9jBhQarp6U7fkQ?select=x-d6mTbDHJaBReIoxL8ZXg http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/tm9RjIMY9jBhQarp6U7fkQ?select=F-nLMhMvLAszBtoK4pfOrg and the fish is UNDERCOOKED not even the batter is fully cooked, this is gross I tossed it in the trash and left and I shall never return. I should have torn down the Ensenada style fish tacos sign and put it in the trash with my tacos, El Arco you are a disgrace.

This wasn't bad. I went out on a limb trying it because I wasn't comfortable with the way it looked but I'm glad I did. It was pretty good, the only concern I had is price. The prices are vary pricy for what it is.

Crawl Stop #4 http://www.yelp.com/events/el-monte-please-sir-wont-you-feed-me-fish-tacos As this is a fish taco crawl the review is for the fish tacos only. Yes I skipped # 3 because Chanos was closed. I think Ivan said it best when he compared the fish taco batter to Pioneer Chicken breading. It had that spicy flavor to it with just a nice seasoning. The problem was the taco was small and the fish was just not good or fresh tasting. I can't say it was inedible but it was not great. 2.5 stars

:( --- that's the emoticon I drew on my receipt. Fish taco $1.35 Shrimp taco $1.85 I ordered the two tacos and waited. And waited. And waited some more. Then I realized the people behind me in line were eating their food. Wait a minute here! The counter lady realized they forgot my food and they quickly made my tacos. Now, the group wasn't too fond of these tacos. We had some pretty decent fish tacos earlier and this one was borderline. I have to say though I did get quite a bit of fish and a large chunk of battered shrimp. I think this is to make up for the wait. My tacos weren't as brown as the others either. But I felt my food was bitter. The crema was tangy but only emphasized how awful the tacos were. I would come back here to try other things on the menu. They have a lot of mariscos items and nothing was over $10. However, I really don't see myself returning for tacos.

    Yum, yum, yum!

Deborah, the owner, is incredible and truly passionate about sharing Oaxacan cuisine the right way. You can feel that intention in every dish. The guacamole is fresh, vibrant, and beautifully balanced--simple ingredients, done right. Their Oaxacan horchata deserves special recognition: lighter, more nuanced, and less cloying than the typical version, with a flavor profile that feels thoughtful and refreshing rather than overly sweet. This was also my first time trying chapulines, and it couldn't have been a better introduction. Knowing they're sourced directly from Oaxaca adds so much meaning to the experience. Earthy, savory, and surprisingly approachable--an authentic taste of regional tradition that you don't find easily. El Ruizenor Grill isn't just a restaurant--it's a cultural experience. If you appreciate food with history, integrity, and soul, this spot in Temple City is a must-visit. I'll absolutely be back.

The only bad thing was that it tasted more like a can of tomato sauce. It wasnt spicy at all. Very bland.
