Tacos Del Chino is one of those local spots you keep coming back to--not just for the food, but for the accommodating service. I wish I knew his name, but there's a guy there (shorter height and clean haircut) who gives some of the best customer service I've experienced. Super friendly, accommodating, and genuinely wants to make sure you get exactly what you're craving. One thing to note--there's a menu, but no pictures or brochures, so you kind of have to know what you want or ask. Luckily, he's more than happy to walk you through options. Nachos - Exactly how I remember nachos should be. The chips are those pre-made round ones (like Tostitos Rounds), but still crunchy and satisfying. The meats taste freshly cooked, with a nice sprinkle of veggies. And the best part--they use that classic nacho cheese and sour cream combo. The kind of cheese you'd get at 7-Eleven or a Dodgers game. Not the healthiest, but sometimes I want what I want. Tacos - Simple and classic. You really can't go wrong here. I've tried different meats and they've all been solid. Wet Burritos - Great balance of rice, beans, meat, and veggies. I've had the chicken, carne asada, and al pastor--all delicious. It also comes with a side of lettuce and sliced avocado, which is a nice touch. Side Bar - Fresh radishes, pickled jalapeños, lime, and lemon. Everything tastes fresh and adds a lot to the meal. What really stands out is how flexible they are with orders. I asked for nacho cheese on the side so my chips wouldn't get soggy--no problem. Extra salsa? As much as you want. Decided to check out this place due to its high reviews. We found the owner or front person was very passionate about all the different styles of taco, burritos and nachos. We came in only desiring a snack, but then ending up ordering three meals due to all the choices that sounded so delicious. We really enjoyed their food, and they give you a great amount for the price. The ingredients were really good, and they give you lots of meat. I particularly loved the lengua and tripa (as they cooked it the way I liked it). The reason I give it one less star is the ambience. Once inside the man taking our order asked if it was our first time and gave us some great recommendations. The place is nice and quiet and gives a homey vibe. We got 2 quesadillas which were packed with flavor. 1 Al pastor quesadilla and 1 carne asada quesadilla, 1 cabeza Mulita, and 2 tripa tacos. They really pack each dish with meat and flavor. The tripa tacos were so crispy and had the perfect crunch. They also give u a small plastic bag for the sides like radish, limes and more. Don't be afraid to ask for more bags!! We also got both salsas which were the perfect amount of flavor and spice. Overall I would definitely recommend this place if you are looking for some great authentic Mexican food. This place is a hidden gem. If you want a hole in the wall mom and pop place that makes good Mexican food then come here!! It seems to be a popular spot for people from the neighborhood. I went with an all meat carne asada burrito with onions, cilantro and avocado. Not only was it good, but the portion size was generous as well. The asada meat was flavorful and not dry or overly oily at all. I went a 2nd time recently and it was just as good. I recommend the red salsa to top off the burrito. The staff, Sal at the front counter was really accommodating and he had a really good attitude in providing great customer service. He's truly one of the nicest guys and he went out of his way to make sure that my burrito was tasty. Parking is in a small lot on the back. I always opt to park in the street for convenience.
