Cute Breakfast Spot With Friendly Service! The ambience here was really nice and honestly a lot bigger inside than I expected. Plenty of parking around, which is always a plus for a breakfast spot. We came around 9 AM and were seated right away, but by around 10:45-11 AM the place definitely started getting much more packed, so coming earlier is probably the move. I ordered the Veggie Skillet and added chicken to it, plus upgraded to their pancakes for an extra $2.99 because breakfast calories don't count on weekends, right? I'd rate my skillet about a 7/10. It was pretty decent overall, but the potatoes were a bit wetter than I personally prefer. I like my breakfast potatoes a little more crispy and dry. My girlfriend actually ordered something similar and said the same thing -- still tasty, just not as crunchy as we hoped. Of course we also got drinks because brunch without mimosas just feels wrong. She got a mimosa and I got orange juice to keep it balanced-ish. The real highlight was the service. Our server Manny was super kind, attentive, and kept checking in on us throughout breakfast, which made the experience even better. Overall, definitely worth trying for breakfast and I'd absolutely come back to explore more items on the menu next time. Happy Eats!

My wife and I met friends here for breakfast. Our experience was relaxing and fun, thanks to the great customer service we received and the delicious meal we enjoyed. The employees who assisted us were very friendly, attentive, and hardworking. The food we had was perfectly prepared and flavorful. The vibe here is fun, with uplifting Mexican music playing overhead, and the restaurant is colorful, clean, and inviting. Parking is readily available in the large, private parking lot.

Yes ! THEY CHANGED MANAGEMENT! Trust me when I say ... this is good news . They manager before would always have a mean look , and you can tell other workers would feel her," bad vibes " ... it would also make customers feel icky while trying to enjoy their meals . I wouldn't mind coming often even more now . I will always be a huge fan of the Huevos Rancheros . Once you have that meal , you would be hooked for life .

Tried Caramelo Cafe in La Puente and ordered the chilaquiles--really good choice. The flavors were on point, with the perfect balance of sauce and texture so the chips weren't too soggy or too dry. Simple dish, but they did it really well. Went in on a Saturday morning around 9:30 and there was about a 10-minute wait. By the time we headed out, there were a bunch of parties waiting, so it definitely gets busy.

Ordered a breakfast burrito to go and was DELICIOUS. I love their crepes too. Been coming to this place for years now before they expanded their restaurant and they deserve their success.

Got to visit for the first time today. Service is great! Very attentive staff. Food is amazing! Large portions, great flavor. The place has plenty of sitting but it does get busy. I forgot the name of the coffee I got but I wasn't too big of a fan. The sugar was all at the bottom and flavor was alright. Other than that I would definitely come back and also try a different coffee.

I've got to say... I'm super impressed by this place!! I've been here three times now and the staff and the food has not disappointed me :)! The food here is so good and the coffee is made to perfection! I've gotten a few different dishes here and their seasoning is absolutely a amazing! One of the waitresses named Pamela, helped my dad and I out the first time and she talked us through for what they are known for and customers favorites. They are known for their Chilaqulies which omg you definitely have to get it! As for drinks, I've gotten a caramel blended ice coffee and one of their signature lattes (amor de naty). Both were delicious! The taste of coffee and their other flavors are pretty balanced which is nice when paired with your meal. Overall this place deserves the 5 stars because of their amazing service, consistent delicious & well seasoned food, and their tasty drinks. I also would like to thank Pamela again for helping us feel very much welcomed for when we first tried this place out :)!

Came in on a Sunday afternoon all the way from Hawthorne near LAX. Small wait about 20-30 minutes for a party of 5. Quick to get seated and get started. First step inside and the place feels nice and clean. As for the food we waited about 14 minutes which is quick for entrees. The food was amazing and the portions are generous. I ordered El Tri and can say for a guy like me it was enough to satisfy my hunger. Would for sure recommend! Will be back to try.

In the mood for Chilaquiles today, the green salsa is tasty versus the red salsa, which is spicy. Ordered a a sweet crêpe with bananas and strawberries. Customer service was a little off today, ordered one cup of coffee, sadly, we did get it until, after our food came out, and only after I had to remind the waitress about it. Didn't understand why, as it wasn't that busy when we placed our order. Overall, we did enjoy breakfast except for that one hiccup!

This place has very good food! I really like some of their dishes and they do a decent job. It used to be one of our favorites years ago but in the recent years, it has dropped from 5-Stars to 3-Stars. Prices make it difficult to come here on a more regular basis and the service seems to be lacking compared to what it used to be. Today, we came after church and ordered three Cafe de Olla's. My daughter asked for cream for her coffee but we continued to wait as our waitress disappeared. When they brought out our food, which was very quick, my daughter asked again for the cream from the male waiter that was helping. He actually gave her a look, like disgusted or annoyed, he went to his area and he never brought over the cream. Had to ask the host to finally get cream for her coffee. The food was good. We are disappointed that the have removed the Poblano crepe, it was one of our favorites but what we did order was very good. My daughter and I shared the Crepe Combo with eggs, sausage, potatoes and a banana crepe. Everything was great. My son had the Big Boy breakfast. Man did that get a proper name. The ham steak was huge, pancakes were delicious. Again, everything was so good. Place was busy but we were able to get in quickly. No more hour waiting time like years back.

Caramelo cafe never disappoints! Our waiter was very attentive and polite. She made sure we were good and asked if we needed anything every 10 minutes. I love that kind of service. The feeling you get at caramelo cafe is a like you're eating at home. They make you feel welcomed. The setting of the restaurant is perfect! The food was a 10/10. Me being Mexican, I'm very particular which Mexican restaurant I eat at. But at caramelo cafe you feel like you're eating food your grandmother made. The chilaquiles were perfect! The potatoes and egg was a perfect combo. The crepe I got was super delicious. The strawberries were fresh and I could've eaten 10 more crepes! And for the star of the show, the cafe de olla, best coffee I've ever had. Goes great with every meal. I will be coming back and ordering even more crepes!

The portions for breakfast/ brunch are big and the cafe de olla was delicious ! You'll definitely have some leftovers to take home for sure ! It's a great neighborhood spot ! Will definitely be back soon!

I am so glad we chose Hide Out Cafe in Rowland Heights to have our celebration. The food is delicious, the staff is so friendly, and the cafe is so cozy and welcoming. My brother was sponsoring our meal since he couldn't make it, so of course we had to go all out and order two drinks and two main dishes. (Thank you, big brother)! I got the Boba Bear Set $8.50, which comes with a drink and two house-made cookies, and my mom got their Tiramisu Latte $7.00, which is heavy on the coffee liquor, to be honest, but we had fun with it. The drinks are crafted beautifully, and with the open cafe concept, you can see they pay attention to the small details of their crafted drink menu. The house-made cookies that were a part of my Boba Bear Set are not to be forgotten. The cookies are buttery, decadent, and delicious; they are the perfect tea cookies to pair with! I can't wait to go back and try more of their fun drinks and maybe bring a study book the next time. For our main dishes, we shared the Chimi Wagyu & Frites $35.00, and the Fresh Avocado Toast $19.00. We both love eggs so of course we had to get something with eggs in our dish. My mom loved her avocado toast, and they were very generous with the avocado as well on there. The salad is a definite hit with us and included a great dressing on the side. The eggs were cooked perfectly on top of our toast and steak. The frites with my steak were crispy and seasoned well. I also loved the chimi sauce with my steak as well. The portion was huge so we were able to take some back home to enjoy another day. Overall, my mom and I had a great experience and would absolutely come back for another sip of their lattes and try another fun drink on their menu. We left with happy smiles and full stomachs, and can't wait to come back soon.

It's a brown sugar milk tea with caramel foam with a floating frozen milk tea bear. ADORABLE!! The set even includes two house-made cookies. WOW! TASTY!! (Important: Cash is not accepted. Bring card or contactless payment.) I arrived at Hide Out Cafe (Rowland Heights) on Wednesday (around 10:21AM). Parking is very easy. The lot is big. However, Hide Out Cafe (Rowland Heights) is very hidden. It has no visibility from the street! Staff is very professional and welcoming. Staff politely and cheerfully answered all my questions. Staff is very knowledgeable and accommodating. For example, the location does not have a paper menu; all the menus are accessed via QR Code. Fortunately, Staff let me borrow their iPad which allowed me to see the menu on a larger screen. When I'd arrived, Staff asked if I was dine-in or to-go. I was immediately seated. When I'd inquired about the boba. Staff honestly told me that they needed 15 additional minutes to prepare the boba. I brightly waited. All in all, after the 15 minute wait, the drink took an additional 10 minutes before being ready. As mentioned, I ordered the Boba Bear Set ($8.50). CUTE!!! It's a very aesthetic and memorable presentation. The boba pearls came perfect; they're bouncy, perky, and playful. The brown sugar milk tea mixed with the caramel foam tasted honey-like. It's very TASTY! My biggest nitpick is that the amount felt tiny. Still, it's a wonderful memory that I'm so happy to experience! On ambiance, Hide Out Cafe (Rowland Heights) is comfortable and clean. There's about 13 interior tables, and there's six patio tables. The music is slow-tempo, and the tall ceiling made it feel spacious. In addition, Hide Out Cafe (Rowland Heights) has utility. There's customer internet with password; details are available on the QR code menu. There's also about four electrical outlets. I also appreciated the self-service water station. There's also a gender neutral restroom in the back. Hide Out Cafe (Rowland Heights) felt very hidden yet well-maintained. It's a lovely spot. Overall, I had a magical, memorable experience. I discovered AMAZING milk tea and many precious memories. If searching for someplace special, I happily recommend. 4.9 out of 5

It's a large-ish space, and I guess kind of like a sit-down place (not "turo-turo/cafeteria style like some Filipino joints), with a ton of Filipino snacks on the counter. Plenty of seats that have seen better days. A portion of the restaurant is covered in plastic to house some construction equipment ? I asked for the pork sisig ala carte and decided to add an order of kalderetang kambing and 2c of rice. Big mistake buying more than one entree when you are taking it home and have no clue how their food tastes. I trusted Yelp too much. . Sisig had a 1:1 ratio of meat to bell peppers. I also couldn't help but feel lile the peppers were undercooked, even raw. Maybe that was their style, but I also disliked the mayo on top. Now the kalderetang kambing had a strange fishy (gamey) smell in the car. When I tried it at home, the meat looked so red and tasted way too sweet, not at all like the Kalderetas I'm used to back home. The meat was falling off the bone soft though. This is my problem with Filipino restaurants in the US - if they can't make dishes better tasting than what I make at home (i rarely cook but im a good eater), I cannot rate them high at all. I've eaten too much Filipino food in my life to know what tastes good. I feel bad because the folks who work here/(owners?) are pretty nice and they were working on Valentines. But the current rating they have is misleading. If you're going for the big entrees like I did, and are used to Gerry's Grill type sisig, prepare to be disappointed. Yelp, you did not come thru for me this time.
