I was disappointed with my experience here. The restaurant was extremely loud and overwhelming, making it difficult to enjoy a family meal. The servers were friendly, but the service was lacking. Our food took quite a while to arrive, and they completely forgot my son's meal. Since it was just a simple bean and cheese burrito, it was frustrating that it was overlooked. Having a child at the table without food while everyone else was eating completely changed the mood of our dinner. The food itself wasn't authentic Mexican cuisine. It felt more like Americanized Mexican fusion, and overall it was just mediocre. Considering the higher prices, I expected much better quality and flavor. To top it off, an automatic 18% gratuity was added to the bill, which didn't feel justified given the level of service we received. Overall, I won't be returning. Very busy messing around and talking behind the bar. On their phones or eating. A couple actually walked out really upset because they sag them down and no one had came by to even take their drink order. The rainy weather and Happy Hour specials were calling on this Friday afternoon. We arrived just before 4p, and to my surprise, there's a daily lunch special that ends at 4p. While everything on the menu sounded good for just $12 a meal, I stuck with the quesabirria and pork belly tacos, as well as the enchiladas. Everything was delicious, especially the tacos. My girlfriend and I tried the tamarindo and watermelon margaritas at just $7 a drink during Happy Hour and were thoroughly pleased, so much so that my gf, who tries tamarindo margaritas wherever she goes, wanted me to share with you guys just how much the one here at La Cosecha is her favorite. Overall, the service was great while we sat at the bar, the food and drinks were delicious, and the prices were quite affordable. I ordered a pineapple drink that is similar to a piña colada without the blended ice and my mom ordered a margarita. I would say their specialty is more leaning towards the drinks rather than the food so expect to pay nothing less than $15 for a drink. I got the aguachiles, which is a traditional seafood dish that is essentially marinated and cooked in lime juice with spicy salsa on top. This plate, however, wasn't as spicy as I expected it to be, but still very yummy and satisfied my cravings. My mom ordered the Carne Asada plate and said it was very yummy, but the portion was not worth $35; compared to what a traditional Mexican restaurant would serve for a similar if not lesser price. Found this nice Mexican bistro when I was craving pancakes. A large group was ahead of us but I have made a reservation for 2 on the app. There was hardly any wait to be seated. We got complimentary conchas with our drink order. The cafe de Olla was so good, it was just a little too sweet for me. I asked for regular coffee as refill. Coffee was hot and freshly brewed. My son ordered the La Cosecha breakfast- steak, eggs, chilaquiles, house potatoes, beans, sour cream, queso fresco, red and green sauce. I had the classic breakfast- eggs, bacon, house potatoes, and pancake. Luckily I ordered the tres leches pancakes to appease my craving. The house made cinnamon butter on the pancakes was divine. We then had to ask for chips and salsa which is weird bc that should be the custom at any Mexican restaurant to get that to the table once they're sat but we didn't get them up until our food had arrived an hour after we were first sat down. Was not even packed for us to have waited that long for service or food mind you. The music and drinks were great but overall poor service and the food was mid. My tortillas on my birria tacos were soggy not crispy and super greasy and lacked flavor. Paying that much for a bad experience sucks so I would not come back to this place. read more

Placed had just opened, only one group sitting on the regular table side and they wanted to force me to sit in front of the bar, on the high tables. My girlfriend and I, did not want to sit on high tables, we wanted a regular table, but the hostess and waitress kept whispering to each other and finally said "I can sit you there but you'll have to wait for me to serve you" that's unacceptable specially when the place had just opened and it was empty except for one group that had just walked in before we did. And they were very very generous with the shrimp. And large shrimp. So I was very impressed by that. Normally I get a bland shrimp cocktail with like six large shrimp from other restaurants, oh no, this place hooked it up. And let me tell you, their micheladas, very flavorful. You had a good ratio of mix and beer. My friend had ribeye tacos, and she said that they were very tasty. She also had a Cadillac on the rocks she was downing them like water so I take it as they were also good. The place looked clean, and the service was prompt. We had the bartender come out and check on us as well as our server, she was very attentive. I don't live in the area but am happy I made the drive. My friend came all the way out from Norwalk to try this place out and she was not disappointed. And for those of you who have electric vehicles, they have Evgo chargers and ChargePoint chargers in the parking lot so that was a nice surprise. I 100% recommend this place.
